Philippe Dupasquier is an author and illustrator of children’s books. He attended art school in Lyon, France, after which he became a freelance illustrator in London, England.

For his illustrations in Bill's New Frock, he received the Smarties Prize (1989) and the Carnegie Medal commendation (1989) from the British Library Association, and the Oak Tree Award (1990), from Nottinghamshire Libraries.

A day at an unspecified harbor. Brushes over fishing boats, ferries, sailing for pleasure, boat-building, and sea rescue. Good, detailed illustrations.

Our two-year-old likes this one, but it would also be appropriate for a young reader (first or second grade).
