A little book about caring and friendship. For people of all ages.
It’s easy to show you care. Say good morning, be helpful, listen when people speak . . . You’ll see that when you take care of others, they’ll take care of you too.
What a gorgeous book. I will be sharing this with my children every year, possibly multiple times a year. The messages are so simple, but sadly, are forgotten about every day in schools all around the world. It's so easy to say good morning, to listen, to help, to share, but how often does it happen, even in an adults life? This book gets you to realise that these little gestures are simple to us, yet mean the world to those around us. The illustrations are beautiful and the more you look at them, the more you realise there are multiple messages behind them. It's a great book to get children talking, simply because there are so few words and so many images to learn from. It's a new favourite of mine.
A sweet and heartfelt book about the different ways to show love and care in its little forms. I love the minimal text as it puts all the focus on the actions that are depicted in the beautiful illustrations, which made for a really enriching and engaging read.
I also enjoyed how the book shows that it's the little things that mean the most and love is a two-way street, whether it's towards other people, ourselves or our environment — all of which are equally important. I highly recommend this heartwarming and charming picture book!
Thank you to Clavis Publishing and Netgalley for an ARC of this book.
A lovely little book for (hopefully) lovely little readers, this has a very generous and mindful pig doing what we all should do – listen, care for people, give them what we no longer have need for, treat them well – and then treat ourselves well. Oh, and recycle and tidy our bedrooms. It's simple, it's sparse when it comes to words (and the pictures aren't exactly that busy, either) – but it felt like it could be really impactful. Four and a half stars.
Care for the little things...and they'll grow big.
We all need help in caring for others. What it looks like and to be encouraged to care. This is a very sweet book to read with your children. I could see this being a classic on day. The illustrations, the simplicity, and the hard to forget characters. Caring comes in many different forms and sizes.
A special thank you to Clavis Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
Little Book of Caring by Francesca Pirrone was a beautiful sweet book with great illustrations. It's was all about care, empathy, kindness, compassion.caring and friendship. My nephew thought it was funny to see a pig wearing short pants and socks with a stripy top. He thought it was very Cool!!!! (Bless him) and especially as he could talk!
This wonderful pig shows us how to be caring as well as kind. and to look after each other, To say Good Morning to people and in my nephews case Everyone he met over over the next few days when out with me! lol,
It did teach my nephew to listen to others and asked more questions which was great to build his conversation skills up. So for me this book was a 5 star read.! We loved it.
Little Book of Caring takes kids through how easy it is to show you care: saying a kind word, apologizing when you do something wrong, lending a helping hand, keeping your own things straightened up, and so forth. This book has a simple message, as it is all about being present in the world around you, give of yourself, and you will receive in kind. Little Book of Caring is about how to be a good person and friend to those around you.
Overall, Little Book of Caring has a very positive message and is one that I would definitely recommend. Though this is a children's book, the message is universal. The world could use more caring - a little kindness can go a long way.
The book is well illustrated, with whimsical drawings and good facial expressions. I would recommend Little Book of Caring for both home and school libraries.
Disclaimer: I was given an Advanced Reader's Copy by NetGalley and the publisher. The decision to read and review this children's book was entirely my own.
This books perfect for early readers. The ways to show you are and written in short lines and then illustrated in three cute scenes. They are simply line drawings focusing on a pig and his friends. Great buy.
I received an ARC from Clavis Publishing through NetGalley. This in no way affects my opinion or rating of this book. I am voluntarily submitting this review and am under no obligation to do so.
Little Book of Caring is a sweet picture book about a pig that shows how to care for friends. It has a great message without being overly heavy handed. The illustrations are lovely and match the pace. Would make a cute gift book for all ages. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book for my honest opinion.
A simple book with lovingly detailed artwork that highlights small ways we can all be more caring and kind to each other and ourselves. A great, quick book to read to start a discussion on socio-emotional learning with students and how we can make the world a better place for ourselves and others around us.
Oh my! So very adorable indeed. This little book of caring shows how we can do little things that let others around us know we care; with words (like thank you, sorry, and please); with actions (simple and big); and with simply being there.
Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for the digital review copy of this book.
Beautifully illustrated, simple text, big messages.
