a refreshing series where the women are as highly trained as the man
First book in a series. A secret so big that even those who protect it are unaware of the details. The Delta Family is an impressive family, trained from childhood by Papa, in weapons, self-defense, military maneuvers. I read one of the other books first. At the end, the heroine was confronted by a group of terrorists. The whole Delta family, men and women, appeared to meet the threat and protect each other and the US. Neither of these first characters are military. Interesting concept. Great plotting.
My only pet peeve is the incredible amount of kissing in these stories. The characters are committed to not being intimate until marriage. Realistically speaking, how would they be able to kiss passionately all through the story and not cross any lines?

A great start to a new series, Deceived finds Colton Delta returning home from 11 years at med school to Summit Valley Colorado and taking over the medical practice of the retiring town doctor. His family ranch is located just a few miles north east of town in a secluded valley and he is committed to protecting the family secret along with the rest of his family. When a beautiful stranger, Bailey comes to town, sparks fly with instant attraction but Colt has never been one to listen to his heart. Bailey, an investigative reporter gets a crazy tip from a drunken Navy man and her cousin's wedding and decides to look into things while taking a much needed vacation. Great romance with the perfect blend of suspense.

She meets Colt and deceives him of her motives. The problem is the longer they are together the less desire she has to write the story. What happens when her secret is found out by the Delta family?

A great start to a new series. This series focuses on the Delta family who is sworn to protect a secret, but we don't know what the secret is. Bailey, an investigative reporter, hears about the supposed secret and comes to investigate. She meets and deceives Colt, the oldest grandchild of the Delta family and a family physician, of why she came to visit. This story has humor, mystery, and romance.

this one is a keeper
When I first started reading this story I was afraid I wasn’t going to like it. But with this author I had never read a book of her that I didn’t love. So I kept reading past the first chapter and quickly loved the characters and the roles they portrayed. I always love a good close family storyline and this one didn’t disappoint. Read it a find out the story yourself and I assure you that you won’t be sorry. Highly recommend this one

I was sucked into this story at the beginning. The premise for the series is told, to some extent. A secret the family has & needs to continue to protect, one of national security. Then there is the romance aspect between Colt & Bailey. That quickly leads to a lot of "I want him to kiss me" & after the kissing starts it's on the heavy side. Unfortunately, this does end in a cliffhanger. I believe the "family" secret will not be known until the last book.

awesome new series
The Delta family Secret is highly care confidential and can even effect the US Government. Papa Delta is stern but fair bit at times you would never know it. Colt Delta is a family Physician and promised he would never share the secret with anyone. But what about Bailey???????

Wonderful story!
This was one of those books one can not put down. The characters are interesting with a touch intrigue. There is mystery and humor that makes you want keep reading. The location sounds like place I would want to visit. This was a great journey and I hope to read some by this author

The Delta Family Romances series starts with an exciting story
I loved this intense and exciting story. I wanted to keep turning pages and reading until I’d read the entire book. I liked seeing how Colt and Bailey trusted each other, whether they should or not. If you like a great story with plenty of romance and suspense you’ll enjoy Deceived.

Sweet Romance
I was surprised by the lack of suspense in the first book of the series, but I love the Delta family, so I’m excited to continue! Colt is the oldest of the grandkids and is a doctor. Bailey is an investigative reporter that falls pretty fast for Colt. They’re pretty cute together!

Enjoyable Read
Enjoyable light romantic suspense read. Will read more of the series as romance is clean and free of graphic sex scenes. Some steamy kissing but not overdone. Please research order of rank for officers in the Navy as there are no generals or 1st Lieutenants.

A good read

This is a clean Romance with lots of intriguing characters, entertaining banter and a hint of mystery. However, I am too cynical too believe in lightning fast progression from physical attraction to declarations of deep love; so, I took this book simply as light entertainment and escapism.

Wow, Cami Checketts grabs your attention from the beginning of this new series. I don’t know what the secret is but it is well protected by this family. Great characters, a mystery, humor, romance and more than a few surprises what else could you want from a book. I can’t wait for the next book to come out June 22.
