I thought that this was a great short book. I really liked Henry and Mel together. These two have a bumpy couple of starts but eventually Henry and Mel are able to reach the end game together and get a great HEA. I can’t wait for the rest of the series! I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Lana as a wonderful author.

Mel is attending a gamer convention to find a company that would release her game Lipstick Vengeance. She meets the hot shot game developer Henry. They fall hard and fast for each other and their connection is instant. Instalove, sweet,steamy, romantic and safe with a sweet HEA😍😍😍😍 and a tiny bit family drama😉

This short story moves along quickly and sweeps you us in Mel and Henry's romance. The story has good friends, connections, chemistry, family issues, inequalities, career worries, secrets, misunderstandings, standing up for what you believe in, honesty and love.

Gamer Girl gets trapped in an elevator with Gamer Guy which results in an insta-connection, an alpha moment, a make out session, and a down and dirty night together.
Overall, this was satisfactory short story. Had the author been more descriptive and a bit kinky in describing the dirty deeds, I would have been happier. However, I know that there is a mass of women who like spice but are uncomfortable with some words and actions. If you blush at the word pussy, this is your book... because the author definitely does not say pussy lol
I loved that this took place at a gamer convention and that the author touched on the discrimination that women face in the gaming world as well as the unwarranted hostile treatment. I have a daughter that games/streams on twitch and the shit that these men say is downright disgusting.
My only issue with this story is the title vs story. Mel wasn't described as being curvy. The description I read could describe any woman size 0 to 32. Which is NOT a bad thing. It leaves a lot to the imagination, but the series is called Curvy Girls Guide. I appreciate that the author didn't create fake ass insecurities and that our girl was pretty confident while naked, it would have been nice to somehow work in that she is a size 16/20 to justify the series title. Also, who was the secret billionaire?? This should have been Dating Your Boss's Daughter.

This is book number 2 of the Curvy Girls’ Guide series and focuses on Henry and Mel. Henry is the creator of a wildly successful video game but since the new expansion of his game, sales have decreased. He decides to go in disguise to a very popular gaming convention to see if he can get some honest feedback about why the expansion is struggling. Mel is at the convention to pitch her game idea to a company but after meeting Henry and listening to his feedback about the company, she decides to skip the meeting. Henry and Mel don’t have the greatest first meet, but when Henry stands up for her during a confrontation, they realize just how much the other person means to them. They have a slight bump in the road but thankfully they know what they want and go after their HEA. This was a great addition to the series!

This is the second book in the Curvy Girls' Guide series. It can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. Henry and Mel's story is a hot, short instalove. Like all of Lana Dash's stories you get a happy ending and a fun sweet and steamy short story. Henry is a billionaire thanks to his highly successful game but sales are dropping and he's not sure why. Mel has designed a game but can't find a company to produce it. Mel and Henry's attraction is strong and instant but will a misunderstanding ruin things between them?.

Love the series didn't like this FMC
So I love this series. I've read the first book and the newest one that comes out tomorrow. This book just doesn't do it for me. Mel is a gamer trying to release a game in a male dominated field. I get and respect it but the assumptions she throws around so quickly turned me off. You can be assertive without being rude and sometimes I found her rude as the assumption she jumped to st the end was annoying it felt like unnecessary drama. Loved Henry and I'm glad got her game and there guy in the end, this story just wasn't my favorite. Will read the next one in the series though. That one's about Charlie from book 1 😊

Mel is a programmer but get short shrift because she is a woman. She has a meeting with a company to release her game but comes across Henry,
After not going to the interview she puts her trust in him, until she sees him with her dad. Loved the story and the characters. It was a well thought out and rounded story. And you could feel the chemistry between the two main characters.
Can’t wait for more in this series.

I absolutely loved this story and these two characters. Mel and Henry meet at a gaming convention . Mel is trying to find someone who would be interested in the game she created, and Henry is trying to be undercover to see what his fans truly think of his game.
Instant attraction and chemistry between these two, right from the first interaction Henry knew Mel was something special and meant to be with him.

Henry is at the gaming convention undercover trying to figure out why his newest game isn’t doing well. Mel is at the gaming convention for the purpose of making a pitch for the game she’s just developed. From the moment they meet Henry and Mel have instant chemistry and a love of games. This was a fast paced story with a misunderstanding, a broken down elevator and lots of steam. A nice addition to this series. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this quick to read novella, fast-paced, sweet and steamy. Henry and Mel meet at a gaming convention where Mel wants backing for her game and Henry is looking to see why his sales have dropped. They have a meet cute that kicks off their instalove romance. Both characters are sweet and likable. Entertaining story.

Cute, fast read. I actually liked Mel quite a bit. Henry felt like a jerk and I never warmed up to him until the end of the story. I would have loved a longer read to get to know these characters a bit more. As it was, it’s a fun read with a great HEA.

Quick fun sweet read
I appreciate the fast pace, and love a whirlwind romance. But I do think that dropping the L-bomb within 24 hrs of meeting is a bit much. Would have liked 1 more chapter to summarize the expedited relationship instead the immediate "I love you"s.
