The Ga’ee escaped, like a wounded animal. The next time they appear, they would be more dangerous than ever.
But when?
Now. The enemy is back. The first time was only a reconnaissance. This is for real. Invasion.
Earth Fleet must rally the seven races.
And Declan Payne and his team are at the front of the fight once more as Lev goes to war. While goliaths wrestle, the galaxy’s fate hinges on the decisions of a small group of people putting their lives on the line for those who won’t.

I see my other lives, a career in the Marines, those damn hand-written tests in law school, a business consultant, as if they're stories from a book. I see my books as if I lived there, as if I were friends with the characters. All things we remember are behind us, only those we imagine lie before.
I'm not sure which place I prefer, but I don't have to choose. They live together in my mind. My books have some award nominations, they have bestseller tags across multiple countries. I write about justice, honor, and loyalty because that's what I care about. My stories are mostly set within worlds that haven't been, but could be. We have to be ready for when those times come.
No matter where I went, I always had a book with me. Thanks to 21st Century technology, I now have hundreds of books loaded on my phone and always with me. This breakthrough allows me to binge read my favorites. How many books would I have read on deployments had I not had to have a physical book with me? I paced myself so I wouldn't finish too quickly.
We aren't encumbered like that now. I love the works of Robert Heinlein, Anne McCaffrey, JRR Tolkien, Robert E. Howard, and so many more. I have been compared to Andre Norton and that is humbling - she was an incredible author with a huge list of novels to her credit. With every new book, I aspire to live up to those that you, the readers, have compared me to.
Through a bizarre series of events, I ended up in Fairbanks, Alaska. I never expected to retire to a place where golf courses are only open for four months out of the year. But that's the way it is. It is off the beaten path. My wife and I get to watch the northern lights from our driveway. Our dog has lots of room to run. And temperatures reach fifty below zero. We have from three and a half hours of daylight in the winter to twenty-four hours in the summer.
It's all part of the give and take of life. If we didn't have those extremes, then everyone would live in the sub-arctic.
Major Declan Payne, Leader of the Seven Races, is back with PeaceShip Leviathan, Dog, Kal & his team for more crazy adventures in space. In this episode, the return to Earth, has left the Major with a sour stomach after meeting with Earth's Leadership.
They are continuing the mission to stop the Ga'ee from annihilating any more planet's citizens from the Seven Races of the Braze Collective. No one has heard from the Rang'Kor since the Ga'ee attacked them.
Really hard to put this book & series down. I've gleefully awaited each book's release. The thrill of reading who each of the characters have become on this journey & the hope for many more adventures to come leaves me to let you all know this not a book to miss. Leviathan is a one-of-a-kind ship. I only wish I could come aboard & serve with the galaxy's best.
While I have persevered reading the first 5 books in this series, the writing is barely adequate. The primary conceit of an ancient ship left in Earth's solar system is an interesting one, the series never really explores the profound ramifications of the discovery. Instead, the author goes for a very conventional military action adventure story, rife with outdated and juvenile cliches. I did give it 3 stars - it's an okay way to pass a few hours - but it could have been SO much more...
Another outstanding novel from Craig Martelle! I really love the way this author creates, develops, and grows the main characters in his stories. The witty banter, and candid interaction between the characters is spot on! The intensity of the plot has increased exponentially with the introduction of the Ga'ee and their relentless campaign of extermination. Martelle has done a marvelous job of creating tension and anxiety among the characters, and for the reader as well. The impending sense of growing helplessness is palpable. I can't recommend this book enough!
What a conundrum! Lev has pushed the children of the Godilkind into evolving faster than planned.Through a series of daring and courageous exploits the under dog is winning. Except... I can't wait until the next book to see how this resolves. Well played Mr Martelle. Well played.
The entire series is great. It becomes more action packed with each volume. Reading Leviathan Rises left me breathless. I didn't dare take my blood pressure. This is military science fiction at its finest!
Fifth installment and still chock full of the same style of conflicts as seen in previous books. Multiple story threads are continued from earlier installments, most with some partial resolution but no overall gain. New tech-magic surfaces to improve Leviathan’s ability to fight, but the overall picture continues to be grim. This book ends with a new conflict and what appears to be a major paradigm shift, leaving the reader at a loss.
