An Out of Uniform Story

Claire McKinley has just experienced every bride’s nightmare. The groom is a no-show, and now she must face five hundred guests alone. Furious and humiliated, Claire seeks help from the most unlikely candidate—her almost-brother-in-law, who promptly whisks her away to his apartment in San Diego, where she can recover her pride in peace and quiet.

Dylan Wade is no fan of Claire’s, but no way can he leave the jilted bride in her time of need. Bringing her home seems like a good idea—until he remembers his new roommate. Dylan’s relationship with Aidan is…complicated. And with Claire thrown into the mix, life becomes even more…complicated.

Claire is blindsided by her attraction not only to Dylan, but also to Aidan, a man she’s just met. Soon they’re caught up in an all-consuming sexual storm they can’t fight even if they wanted to. Yet Claire wonders if it can last, or if she’s just setting herself up for more heartache.

Warning: This book is very dirty. Ménage a trois and man-on-man dirty. Graphic-language and explicit-sex dirty. Basically? Dirty. You’ve been warned.

... when the three of them were together, she felt like everything… made sense. Which made no sense, damn it!

It says something when a book is so good that you feel going out to have ice cream is a waste of time.

I started the Out of Uniform series with this book, but fortunately it can be read as a stand-alone, and as I loved it I’m definitely up for the whole series.

What I liked in Hotter Than Ever
- The story: it is simple and credible, told from alternating viewpoints.
Dylan had known from day one that Claire McKinley wasn’t right for his brother. He’d been hoping Chris would eventually see it too, but he hadn’t expected it to happen ten minutes before the couple’s frickin’ wedding.
Dylan, unfortunately, had suffered from a serious case of hero his entire life. He’d never been able to walk away from a damsel in distress, and protecting Claire from the embarrassment and questions that awaited her in that ballroom had been instinctual.

- The writing style: easy, funny, and intense.
Except… in a complete twist of insanity, his brother had suddenly soared to the top of Dylan’s shit list. After the despicable — not to mention dishonorable — way Chris had behaved, Dylan was firmly on Team Claire in this fucked-up situation.

- The humor
“I’m keeping these on for your sake, not mine.” He smirked. “Because the second you see my cock, you’ll get all weak-kneed and distracted. Probably applaud for a couple of minutes, too — that’s a common response I get from the ladies.”
She burst out laughing. “Someone thinks highly of himself.”
“Oh, I think very highly of my dick, honey,” he said solemnly. “And with good reason. Fuck Helen of Troy—bigger wars have been fought over my cock.”

- The drama and the conflicts: both inner and external problems are smartly measured: doubts about emotions, difficulties of living in a polyamorous relationship, family matters.
The thought of desiring two men had shaken her up and made her feel like some sort of deviant, but falling for them? For both of them? Was it even possible to be in love with two people at the same time? And was this even love? Could she be mistaking a case of extreme lust for love?

- The epilogue: it is over-utopian, but who wouldn’t want this kind of retort, to show someone who was bitchy with you how happy and lucky and enviable you are and prove her wrong?

What I loved:
- honesty: I loved Claire’s blunt honesty, loved Dylan’s incapability of telling any lie, and that Aidan so much aware of the feelings of the others, and also of himself.
- intimacy and tenderness
- the characters: amazing, distinguishable, and likable
- the development of the romance, not only between the three of them, but between Aidan and Dylan as well. Their relationship has been lasting for a couple of months, but they couldn’t get close to each other, until Claire. She is the catalyst to make Aidan open up.
- the erotic scenes, especially Dylan and Aidan’s: they were fierce, passionate, and very manly together. I'd love to read more three-way scenes though.
The sudden, all-consuming arousal that seized Aidan’s body no longer startled him. He’d been attracted to both sexes for as long as he could remember, but his attraction to Dylan surpassed anything he’d ever experienced. He was addicted to the man, craved him on a whole other level, and no matter how many times he fed the addiction, no matter how many mind-blowing releases they gave each other, he constantly wanted more.

Disliked:
- There is no such thing in this novel!

Claire

Claire McKinley was smart, gorgeous, sarcastic, compassionate. And open, so fucking open. She spoke her mind, never tried to hide what she was feeling from him and Aidan, and he loved and appreciated that about her. A lot of women expected a man to be a mind reader, but hell, a little guidance was nice, and Claire was a master of honest communication.

He couldn’t believe a woman like her actually existed. A woman who was willing to welcome two men into her bed, into her heart. A woman who was willing to accept that those two men also desired each other.

Dylan

This was the first time he’d heard Dylan speak about someone else with such distaste.
It made absolutely no sense. Dylan loved everyone. And everyone loved him right back. Men, women, children, pets — every living creature that came into contact with Dylan Wade adored him within minutes.

Aidan

Aidan Rhodes was intense. And haunted. Something was definitely haunting him, but Dylan had yet to decipher the shadows he often glimpsed in those chocolate-brown eyes.
He knew Aidan was hiding a lot of pain behind his seductive, laid-back exterior, but getting the man to talk about his emotions was like trying to train a goldfish—futile and exasperating.

All in all
Loved this book, it is a perfect romance! I loved every line of it.
Highly recommended for MMF fans!

My favorite quotes.

Re-read for the third time. Still amazing, incredibly hot, totally unbelievable (but I want it to be true) and ultra-romantic, but I love it! One of my all time favorite books!

Another re-read. I'm starting to realize its flaws but it's still a very entertaining book.

Navy Seal Dylan Wade and Claire McKinley and Aidan Rhodes

This is definitely my favourite book in the series and if you enjoy MMF romance like I do, then you are in for a treat. This is one of the best books that I have read in this category.

The story of Dylan and Aidan has been building up in the previous books. They both like each other but Dylan hesitates to have a relationship exclusively with another man – especially because Aidan is also his best friend and flatmate. Aidan is more open-minded. But anyway they cannot resist to the chemistry by the end of previous book.

The story of Dylan and Claire has also been building up. Claire is the fiancée of Dylan's brother. And basically Dylan hates her. He thinks that she is too money driven and that his brother is too good for her. But he tolerates her because his brother loves her.

Claire is a very conservative girl who has grown up in a very conservative family. She loves her fiancé and looks forward in getting married. During one their visits to his brother's house, she unintentionally watches Dylan and Aidan together and she realises that maybe she misses something in her life and in her engagement.

Fast forward. The wedding day arrives. The groom disappears. The bride is left alone in the church with hundreds of waiting guests and the brother of the groom, i.e. Dylan who tries to explain to her that his brother has changed his mind about the wedding. She still strongly dislikes Dylan, but suddenly he will provide the only solution for this nightmarish situation. She can go away with him and stay for a few days with him and Aidan until she can face the world again.

I have to say here that Dylan's brother is one of the most hateful characters I have ever read in contemporary romance:
*spoilers*
1. He abandons the bride just before the ceremony.
2. He makes his brother tell the bride the knews.
3. He never say a word to their guests and their parents.
4. He goes away to the already paid honeymoon and enjoys it.
5. He takes his mistress with him.
6. He comes back and cannot face his ex- fiancée. He only talks to her with text messages and on the phone while he goes to meet his work- colleagues.
7. He tells her to take her stuff and to find another house.
8. When he finds out that she is involved with two men, he tells everyone and treats her like garbage.
I couldn't believe his nerve!

Anyway, Dylan, Aidan and Claire are great together. Claire will need a bit of persuasion because as I said before she is a nice conservative girl who has just discovered her hidden sexuality.
There are hot moments in the book.
There are funny moments in the book.
There are tragic moments in the book, but it does not matter because the end is excellent.

If you like MMF, try this book.

4.5--Two Are Better Than One--Stars

What's better than one smoking hot military guy? Two smoking hot military guys!!

This book was

Not only was it hot as hell but it actually had a nice little story to go along with it.

I don't read a lot of ménage books--shockingly enough--but what I liked about this one was that it was MMF. So we get some MM action, some MF action and some MMF action.

I loved all three MCs. They each brought something to the relationship.

Claire is poised to walk down the aisle. Set to marry Chris, the man of her dreams. Only to be left at the alter and rescued by Chris' brother Dylan. Claire and Dylan....there's a bit of animosity there.

They were mis-informed about each other though. Claire plans to stay with Dylan in San Diego...at the apartment he shares with Aidan. Dylan and Aidan are both bi. They have feelings for each other but they also like to share women.

Aidan forces Dylan and Claire to work out their differences. Amongst all of the animosity is some undeniable sexual tension that's just waiting to be unleashed. And oh boy let me tell you...

Overall, this was very low drama and angst which I was perfectly fine with. Just Claire, Dylan and Aidan navigating this new relationship that not everyone is accepting of.

NOTE: I have not read the other books in the series, but I will definitely be checking them out. This one gets a thumbs up from me!!

Dirty. Dirty hot but in an incredibly good way. (lol) And nothing real nasty or too explicit (at least not for me!)--although there were plenty of steamy hot encounters (m/m, m/m/f, m/f, mf/m)--there was a fair amount that happened off the pages, where you will have no trouble using your (dirty) imagination.

For the past couple of books in this series, Elle Kennedy has been teasing us with the character of Dylan Wade. Dylan, the sexed-up Navy SEAL whose sexuality may be a bit of a question mark to the reader so far. Is he straight, is he gay, or maybe a bit of both? Those questions are all answered in this book, because Dylan is no longer just a 'third' in his SEAL buddies' relationships, now he's got a book of his own! With his own girlfriend...and boyfriend.

I've always been intrigued by Dylan. He's just so incredibly charming, open, good looking, fun, easy-going, kind-hearted, brave and protective...and super sexy! What woman (or guy, in this case) wouldn't love him? Men, women, children, and pets love him! Now I'm not usually one for m/m romance, but oh boy oh boy, with this story, EK may have made me a convert! I mean, my god, the opening chapter, where Dylan's future sister-in-law (and the one woman he can't get along with) Claire McKinley witnesses a steamy kiss between Dylan and his dimpled, dark-haired lover Aiden (who works in Navy Intelligence)...after that I was turning the pages as fast as my fingers could swipe the screen!

A brief plot synopsis: Business consultant Claire McKinley was raised in a conservative family. The sexy, red haired beauty is about to marry up-and-coming, ambitious lawyer Chris Wade (Dylan's older brother). When Claire witnesses a kiss between Dylan and his (unknown) male friend--she's incredibly turned on. Why can't she and Chris share a passion like that? Months later, just minutes before her wedding and before hundreds of guests, Chris runs out on her, saying "they're not right for each other". A small part of Claire is relieved, even though she's humiliated by Chris's weasely behavior. Almost-brother-in-law Dylan takes pity on her and suggests Claire comes with him to his place in San Diego for a few weeks to regroup. (That's just the kind of guy Dylan is. Even though Claire is his adversary--they snipe at each other all the time--he still feels a sense of responsibility for her). There Claire meets his roommate Aiden (the guy she watched passionately kiss Dylan)--and she's instantly attracted. Wowza. And is Aiden sending out vibes her way? But isn't he with Dylan?

Claire...
 photo 935f6437-45e0-4c77-aecf-7148d39823ac_zps424fba96.jpg

Aiden feels the lust for Claire, but Dylan tries to discourage it. They both know that the relationship they have with each other is not enough for them, and they would like to add a permanent woman to the mix. But Claire? Claire, the sister-in-law from hell? Sure, she may be the sexiest woman alive, but Dylan just doesn't get along with her. Aiden thinks that perhaps if they were forced to spend some time with each other, they could iron out their differences...

Yeah....mmmmmm. (Just thinking about it all makes me want to read it again.:) You've got two dirty talkin' alphas who take turn dominating each other and Claire. Plenty of getting to know you time before Claire takes the plunge. And then once she's in, baby she's in! Lots and lots of hot sexual interludes follow. Some on the page, some off. Which leaves plenty of time for a story to develop too. The more closed-off-with-his-feelings Aiden has some issues with his father and a devastating tragedy from his childhood, and Claire helps him open up with that. Aiden and Dylan let loose the sexual animal in Claire (much to the shock of her family and ex). Dylan's sexuality is finally exposed to his family and SEAL teammates--will they accept him or reject him? EK does a fine job of confronting the problems this kind of relationship can run into. Nothing is sugar coated or glossed over, and I was relieved she dealt with this fairly realistically, because frankly, I was wondering how it was all going to play out and I knew eventually it was all going to "hit-the-fan". Not everything was fun and games and good times. But this trio was wonderful in the support they offered to each other, and the love that they shared. I really, really wanted them to make it!

Fans of this series will also enjoy meeting up with the previous SEALs and their wives/girlfriends when they get together with the threesome. It's interesting how one of the girlfriends isn't so happy with the arrangement at first...I loved these get togethers and some of the one-on-one talks. EK does a great job showing the camaraderie they all share.

If you haven't read this series yet, but would like to start, please do yourself a favor and start at the beginning. Even though every book is a stand alone, you don't want to miss the story arcs of some of the characters (Dylan especially). Ms. Kennedy does a fantastic job especially with the male 'voice'/POV--I love reading the dialogue between Dylan and his SEAL buddies, and the dirty talk that comes out of his mouth! This guy has got to be one of the hottest, sexiest, yet nicest military heroes that I've ever read. He just makes you wish that you could be Claire for a day...or a week...or a year! 5 stars

*A thank you to the author for providing an ARC of this book.

Warning: This book contains explicit language and sex; oral (including m/m); anal (m/m; m/f off the page); and two dirty talkin' military men. Not for the faint of heart!

I read for entertainment, at least when it comes to fiction. So to the folks who like this book -- I'm not dissing you, I swear. What comprises entertainment is subjective, and you like what you like, I like what I like, blahdy blah blah, that's exactly how it should be. So no hard feelings, okay?

But good lord, this book is AWFUL.

That's it, that's the review.

Later I may come back and elaborate, but for now I have to go lie down in a darkened room and wait for my hate-headache to subside.

I give 1 star to books I hate or make me feel manipulated or are just stupid. I reserve 2 stars for the books that are ridiculously stupid, like this one.

I just don't know where to start. I haven't read the others in this series, but assuming the writing is same in all of them, I won't be doing that anytime soon, make that never.

This is going to be with a moderate amount of spoilers, so consider yourself warned.

The story starts in a stupid way. Groom leaves bride on the wedding day, goes on honeymoon with another chick. The brother of the ex husband to be, takes bride in his home, which he shares with a male roommate, even though he hates her! They begin a relationship, sexual and "romantic", and that's the whole story.

Things that were too stupid to comprehend:

1. How can you lust after your brother's ex-fiance, literally just after the break up, and most importantly how can you start saying shit about him (even though he deserves it), to make her confide in you, and use her for your own not so honorable intentions?

2. Our Heroine everybody! Stupidest female ever. Believe me, your honesty, Claire, is not a sign of your intelligence, au contraire. As usual, she's so HOT, but of course she has no idea about it and she doesn't consider herself beautiful. Even when she's offered sex, she says immediately "ok, let's have it". Nothing bad about this, but please pretend to think about it, be timid and don't act as if you're shy. God! She say's she's not that kind of woman to sleep with 2 guys at the same time, but she does just that.

3. There were some ridiculous sayings in this book:

"Fuck Helen of Troy, bigger wars have been fought over my cock". Yeah, right.

"But neither of these guys is random. You've been sleeping with them for more than a week."- because a week is the time for a random guy to become non-random!

4. Everybody in this book is beautiful or handsome. ALL of them. I know this is fiction, but please, try to make it believable.

5. For a conservative father of the Heroine, he looked pretty accepting to go to the house his daughter shared with her "two men" and staying there all week. Why couldn't he go to a hotel? Any reason??

6. This book lacked depth, emotions and everything else, but for some reason I managed to read it. The biggest disappointment is that we're promised a MFM, but I didn't get what I was expecting, if you know what I mean.. .

I had only read the first book of this author's other series "Off-Campus", not impressed with that either, but this one was just idiotic.

Hotter than ever is right!

Fun and emotional committed ménage romance. It is kind of an enemies to lovers and instaATTRACTION to lovers between the three in the ménage. I really enjoyed this quick story. The banter is fun. The naughty bits are hot, and the story is just entertaining.

Multiple-POVs, HAE. (Can be read as a standalone)

JAY-ZUS.

THIS WAS SOME QUALITY SMUT. And I don't even typically go for menage stories. But after reading the Off-Campus books, and exploring Kennedy's roster a bit, I found this one. Fortunately, it can be read as a standalone... which, I think all of them can be if I remember correctly. Good thing too. Can't vouch for the other installments in the series but this book right here... I'm still doing breathing exercises.

I've read a few woman-scorned books lately, it's starting to give me a complex. But anyway. Claire gets screwed over by her husband-to-be, minutes before their wedding no less. His brother, Dylan is tasked with breaking up with her, which is... yeah. Pretty awful. Taking pity on the girl he's disliked for months isn't easy, but after what his brother did to her, he feels somewhat responsible. So he takes her home with him to his... unusual living arrangement with Aidan. These two men are both Navy SEALs and both in love with one another, though they could never be in a lasting relationship without a woman. Neither one knows why, they just know the score. So when Claire struts into their lives, and both are attracted to her, they start to realize that maybe what their pairing needed was a third - in her.

Claire has never been in a situation like the one she's living through now... two sexy men, not only attracted to each other... but acting on it. And she's never been more turned on in her life. When they make it clear that if she's open to the idea, they'd be more than willing to include her. They're not strangers to menage, they prefer it. And when the three of our characters come together, it's explosive.

Along with some hot as eff sex scenes, the story actually had a believable love story to it. I was emotionally invested in these three making it.

If you're a fan of menage, military men (which... why the hell wouldn't you be?), and strong-willed heroines -- give this book a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Till next time cuties ;)!

Ridiculously, wonderfully hot…

I love this series and the men in uniform (and out!) are just getting hotter!

Claire is a feisty heroine and she has gone toe to toe with Dylan since their first meeting. They believe the worst in each other but that doesn’t stop Dylan from performing his white knight duties. When Claire needs help, he is there for her – despite what he knows about her. What he thinks he knows about her. And Claire has her eyes opened in more ways than one when she learns more about Dylan and Aidan, his equally handsome, alpha roommate…

“Because the second you see my cock, you’ll get all weak-kneed and distracted. Probably applaud for a couple of minutes…”

The chemistry between these three was amazing! Dylan and Aidan. Aidan and Claire. Claire and Dylan. All three together… Whew… Hot doesn’t even cover it! And what makes it all so great is the emotion that you feel throughout. They desire each other for sure. They also like each other. They admire each other. And that just amped up the heat so much more… And the heat? I mentioned that already? It is worth talking about again… Passion with all caps is not exaggerating as you feel the sizzle in every touch and every conversation. Or should I say dirty talk?

Snarky conversation, smexy scenes and characters that will soon feel like friends means a read that is so good I finished it and wanted to start it all over again. ~Diane, 5 stars

My first warning should’ve been when one of the hero Dylan said even though he is in a relationship with other hero Aiden they both can’t go more than a week without a woman. And I believe they were in a relationship for a couple of months at that point. That’s A LOT OF WOMEN!
Second was Dylan admitted that he use to have threesomes with his SEAL buddies and their fiancé/girlfriends…. Give me a second, let me barf 🤢. If that wasn’t not enough all of them are still a big bunch of friends and love to meet up at least weekly!
And the third and final nail in my enjoyment of this book was when Aiden ALSO admitted that he used to indulge in a shit ton of threesome with their buddy Matt. Not to mention some of the hottest nights were with him and his fiancé Savannah. Freaking TMI maaahn!!

There was no cheating but above details made me feel icky and uncomfortable. I couldn’t either enjoy the steamy scene (kept on thinking they used to do this with everyone so what’s special) or the fantastic friendly banter.

Still I liked all three of them. The men were adorable and knew how to treat their lady. They all were mature, loyal and what one another needed. Somehow their relationship made sense. I also loved that heroine was hesitant and apprehensive at first.
I especially loved the last part with heroine’s family, that was hilarious!

If you don’t mind the above things then you will love this book.
Recommended and safe.

When i started reading, this book was a 5 star for me, i had slight issues with it but i kind of pushed them away because i was enjoying the plot so much. the writing was meh. The grammar was off sometimes and the characters didn’t have much of a personality. I felt like the romance fell flat as i went on.

Also, it really made me uncomfortable when the two guys would call each other “bro” or “man” like they would literally kiss and then go “how did you like that, man?” and idk it just was weird, they talked like buddies and not like they fuck every night which was???

Anyways i also hated how everything was convenient for Claire like when her three week break was almost up her boss called and just happened to have business near her so she didn’t have to leave. It also annoyed me that claire got fired because she had two boyfriends as if that was her jobs concern?

But enough to with the pettiness, i really like how this book made me feel in the beginning, you know, before everything went to shit, so i’ll definitely be reading more work by this author.

I definitely needed something hot and steamy like this book to start 2021 and EK doesn't disappoint.
Uff.. this was panty melting.

I think this is the first book I m reading that also has explicit MM without a woman action, on top of the MMF scenes AND dammit!! Why did I waited this long to try some of this deliciousness??? I want to slap myself silly.

Dylan and Aiden, its only one thing I wanna say

And for Claire

It seems that MM world has just gained another groupie ladies!!

I ought to have been more cautious. Sorry, this is icky on too many levels to state without ranting like a maniac. Anyone as shallow as these characters, and behaving as atypical of normal people, would still be ashamed of being shoehorned into such a trite plot.

This is the second attempt at reading Elle Kennedy, ending just as the earlier one. I need to remember not to buy her anymore. This writer is really not for me.

lmao this was simultaneously kinda boring but also over the top???

Basically after Claire gets left by her fiancé Chris on her wedding day, Chris’ brother Dylan offers to let Claire stay with him and his roommate Aidan so she can avoid having to deal with her family. But *gasp* Aidan and Dylan are sexually involved with each other and both men want Claire to join them. Claire is attracted to both of them, but is hesitant about being with two men at once.

This was fine, some of the smutty scenes were good and I enjoyed the banter between the characters. However, for the majority of the book there isn’t much plot outside of the romance. That can work for a short story or a novella, but for a full-length novel I want something more to the story than only the relationship. Then near the end of the book when there are some outside plot points, they’re just so ridiculous and out of left field.

Something I really didn’t like about this book was that the author was making Dylan and Aidan imply that because they’re bi that means that they need to also be with a woman, that just a relationship between the two of them isn’t enough. Instead of it being because they’re polyamorous.
“Aidan and I are bi, honey. And yeah, we’re into the one-one-one stuff, but we like having a woman in our bed. We need a woman in our bed.”
Her continued silence spurred his frustration. “I don’t know how to explain it in a way you’d understand, but Aidan and I aren’t enough for each other. It fucking sucks, okay? But we both know it, and we’ve accepted it. Eventually one or both of us gets an itch that only a chick can scratch.”

So...I don't really know what to say. This book was actually really good and hot. The characters were pretty likeable and the storyline was ineresting. Still...it was not for me. This was my very first mmf/menage and I can already say that I won't be reading much more of this genre in the future. Ofcourse I've read some books were there were some menage scenes, but not were the entire relationship was a threeway. For some reason it just pissed me off.

See I liked Dylan and Aiden together. I liked there little scenes. But apparently things were only good when Claire was around and apparently Aiden could only open up to Claire and could only say "I love you"to Dylan when Claire told him he should. All this shit made me dislike Claire. But Claire was actually a nice person, so that kind of sucked.

I think I should just stick to my mm books. I get pissed off to fast and I've got too much replacement jelousy.

I'm still gonna give the book 4 stars, because it was good and the story was nicely done. It just wasn't my cuppa tea, but that shit is personal and not the authors fault.

Solidly fun and scorchingly hot

There’s nothing wrong with three…stars on the rating for this book. It’s a solidly fun time. No regrets about spending a few hours in the company of this trio. I only wish they made the ex-fiancée suffer soooo much more.

5 Hotter than Ever Stars

This was a re-read for me; I didn't really know that till I was into it I guess I read it early 2015.

I call this poetic justice. See there isn't a bro code when you treat a woman like Dylan’s brother did.
So, when Dylan is asked to tell Claire there won’t be a wedding moments before the ceremony. I say all’s fair in love and war.

And let’s throw in another sexy man for good measure... Yep, this is a ménage style romance my favorite kind. MMF baby!

Dylan and Aidan have a relationship, but they both look outside of it for a female from time to time because they both know that they are not quite enough for one another. They both crave a female, so when Claire gets added to the mix. Things start to get interesting.

I really liked this book the first time around but I am changing my rating to a 5 star it’s even better the second time.
Also this is the first time I listened and I very much enjoyed Katie McAble’s performance. I think she did a fabulous job and I would listen to more of her Audio’s.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

RANTING: 5 stars ⭐️

Hot damn. This book was a sexy, invigorating read that made my 🐱 clench. Not only was it hot as hell but it actually had a nice story to go along with it. And I wouldn’t have enjoyed this otherwise!

Hotter than Ever was my first book in this series and I am definitely not stoping there!

Read it if you want something very steamy, but not exactly a porn read 😆

4 Spicy stars

I was looking for a MMF read and I love Elle Kennedy and it was only 99 cents so I thought, well isn’t this perfect.

Hotter than Ever is a standalone and is part of the Out of Uniform series. I believe the first few books are novellas, but this one is a full length standalone. You could read the series out of order, since this is my first book in the series, but after reading it, I would highly suggest you read the books in order. A LOT of the previous characters are in the book and it can get overwhelming in trying to figure out who is who and who is married to who, etc.

Claire is jilted on her wedding day and what does she do? She stays at her ex-fiancé’s brother’s house who she doesn’t like very much. And he doesn’t like her either. Oh and a few months ago she saw him kiss his roommate. His GUY roommate.

Hotter Than Ever is a light and easy read. The book is short, sassy and hot. It’s light on angst and heavy on the threesome dynamics. Dylan and Aidan like each other, but they need a woman in their life. They have always known that, they just need to convince Claire of that.

If you are looking for an easy and hot read with little to know plot, then this book is for you. It was really nice to take a mental health break and just read a fun book. I highly suggest this series for some fun smut with a little substance.

I love Elle Kennedy. This year she has become one of my favorite authors, so naturally I want to read everything she's ever written. I came across this book and I wasn't sure what to expect. I've never read a book that involves menage before (a relationship between three people) and I was curious to say the least. This book ended up being awesome. This book is sexy and fun and it actually has a good story happening here too. This book follows Claire who has just been let at the alter by her douche bag fiance Chris. Chris's brother Dylan brings her back to his apartment in San Diego as she tries to recover from this, and her and Dylan have never really gotten along, they always hated each other. Dylan is room mates with Aidan, and they are both in the military. But Aidan and Dylan are much more than just room mates, as Claire soon finds out. This book is awesome because it has good M/M romance, good M/F romance, and M/F/M romance (which is something I've never read before.)

I loved all three of their characters individually and together. I thought th relationship dynamics were really interesting and I love that Dyaln and Aidan had to convince her to try it. I adored Dyaln and Aidan both so much, and just like Claire I honeslty couldn't decide who I liked better. I was genuinely surprised at all the plot twists that happened towards the end of this book regarding Aidan's past and Claire's parents reaction to her relationship with two men. It got very controversial and interesting.

Overall, Elle Kennedy is an amazing author. She writes great romance, whether it's between two men, a man and a woman, or three people. I didn't even realize this book is #9 in a series until after I read it. I haven't read any other books in this series, but I will continue to read anything she writes.

Rep: bi mcs, polyamory

the reason it's 2 stars not 1 is because it genuinely wasn't bad despite me doing my level best to hate read it

however

* claire fetishises aidan and dylan SO MUCH to begin with

* she's also voyeuristic af like wow girl let them have sex in private

* urgh the possessiveness trope

* claire kept trying to find out whether they still liked women despite being in a relationship with each other, and whether they preferred women or men

* at least half the book is taken up with sex scenes, which, ok, but plot?

* YOU'RE NOT LIKE OTHER WOMEN

* enough with the slutshaming

* THEY CALL EACH OTHER BRO IN BED

* nice demonising of a woman with a mental illness ://

* applying more pressure, he palmed that stiff erection, then brought his mouth to the other man’s neck and sucked on that hot male flesh.

* with her smooth flawless skin, rosy cheeks and enormous brown eyes, she looked like a porcelain doll. but below the neck, she was a different kind of doll. the kind you found at a sex shop, all tits and ass and endless curves.

* “we don’t share a room, though. that son of a bitch is a major blanket hog.” his words instantly produced the image of the two men sleeping in the same bed, which succeeded in getting her all hot and achy.

* ...her pulse sped up at the thought of their tanned, muscular bodies entwined together between the sheets.

* this man was a warrior. lord, was there anything sexier?

* aidan and i are bi, honey. and yeah, we’re into the one-on-one stuff, but we like having a woman in our bed. we need a woman in our bed.

* a man giving another man a blowjob. natasha was right. there was nothing freaking hotter.

* at least there was no relationship angst right?
