I’m having a mini life crisis.

Oh My WOW Kali Hart Writes Some Heat!!!
I have really enjoyed all of Kali Hart’s short, steamy instalove contemporary romances set in small-town Alaska, and the Guardians of the North is actually one of my favorites of her series. In “James,” Book 3 of the lineup, the title character meets his match, the beautiful, brainy Serenity, when they’re part of the same wedding party, and the attraction is evident from the very beginning. James is a Coast Guard pilot with all the swagger, good looks, and sex appeal that we’d expect, and the confirmed bachelor soon finds himself thinking very different thoughts about the curvy maid of honor. Throw in some really cute moments along with all that steam rising off the pages, and you have another Kali Hart winner! Can’t wait for Book 4!

Princess kisses her ogre.....and his ninja like skills are more than satisfying
James is the third book in the Guardians of the North series. These books and characters are interconnected and I suggest they are read in order, but they can be read as standalone also. Serenity Collins is almost thirty-three and has come to the small town of North Haven, Alaska to be the maid of honor at her best friend Ella's wedding to Jordan, their story is the previous book. Serenity is the Editor in Chief of the local newspaper having worked her way up to the position over several years. She now has her dream job but she is finding her life not to be all she expected it to be. Instead she has been in love with the owner of the paper and he has come to rely on her for everything, but he also just announced his engagement to the gossip columnist last month. James Devano is one of the "J Crew" and is a pilot with the Coast Guard. He transferred to North Haven to join the rest of the men he met while in basic training. James has a reputation of love them and leave them, one night, no commitment, just fun, times with the ladies. But he is finding that is becoming not what he wants anymore. However, he does not do commitment and relationships after watching his parents tear each other apart over and over. So what is that electricity that sparks between Serenity and James, who is the best man at the wedding. It seems that they are both fighting a losing battle and once they finally collide together things are about to take a drastic turn for both.....in the most satisfying way possible.
I loved this story and the characters. It is fun, witty, has a bit of drama, a lot of white hot sizzling chemistry and an adventure in both love and life for both characters. The bonus epilogue is also fantastic.

James and Serenity meet at Ella's and Jordan's wedding. Serenity is the maid of honor and has decided to stay in Alaska for a bit longer so Ella gives her the keys to her home to stay at while her and Jordan are on their honeymoon. James is discussing his apartment issues when Jordan overhears. Jordan finds out that James has to vacate his apartment for repairs so Jordan gives James a key to his place too. When Serenity wakes the next morning she sees James in her bed and screams, and also looks and looks and looks, cause he is gorgeous. This leads into a fun story line. But James was raised in a toxic household and is not sure he can love. Serenity thinks she was in love with her boss but he recently became engaged so she is thinks she is rebounding. And James and Serenity have such chemistry they both begin to wonder if they are meant for each other. This is a fun fast paced steamy love story where two people who think they do not like each other or even know each other learn to get along and fall in love. This is a quick fun read and I loved every minute of it. It is in the series Guardians of the North and I will definitely be reading the series. Great read.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
James is the third book in the ‘’guardians of the north’’ series.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Serenity is in Alaska for her best friends wedding. James is attracted to Serenity but is determined to stay away. Will love blossom between the pair?
The chemistry between James and Serenity is clear to see and I liked them together.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.

Serenity has been in love with her boss for over two years, but he only wants her for her wonderful skills as an editor which reminds me of the film “The Holidays”. She needs to cut that insane relationship.
James has some problems with his flooded apartment, so his friend Jordan let him the keys to his house while he is on his honeymoon.
Hilarious situations, sweet and tender moments and lots of love made this story an enjoyable one.

James and Serenity are part of their friend's wedding party. Serenity decides to stay a few extra days and her friend lets her stay at her house while she's on her honeymoon. James' apartment needs repairs as the person above him flooded the apartments, so the groom lets him stay at his house while on his honeymoon. Both are shocked when they wake up next to each other. Sparks fly and they spend the time getting to actually know each other, and fall in love.
Great story and characters. Makes me want to read the rest of the series!

This was a great quick read; this is the third book in this series, and I want to go back and read the first two. Serenity just wants to lay low and enjoy some time away for her job, James is intently interested in her. She wants nothing to do with him at first then realizes he might be exactly what she needs.. Another great read as part of this series. Serenity and James meet at a friend’s wedding. They push each other’s buttons and can’t stand each other. Or that’s what they want the other to believe. An enemies to lovers romance for two people finding love when they least expect it. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Both are recovering form their own heartache. Her still fresh when her boss took advantage of her writing skills. James doesn’t want a relationship turned septic like his parents. This story was fantastic and I absolutely loved these two. James and Serenity meet at their best friends wedding. Both felt they did not like eachother but the attraction and chemistry between these two was to hot and hard to deny. Both finding love when they least expect it.

This is a wonderful charming quick read. I absolutely loved the wittiness between Serenity and James. This was my first reading experience by this author, it won’t be my last because I didn’t want it to end.

Probably my favorite in this series. But all the stories are very heartmelting and swoonworth. In this there felt more sizzling between the lead characters. Beutiful place and great plot. True feelings, nothing felt too cliche. Beautiful couple!

Loving this series
Another great book in this series...I have to say I adore the way you intertwine it with the Caribou Creek series. I read that one first and I love seeing how the timeliness blend together.

I really enjoyed this third installment of the Guardians of the North series. James and Serentity were a fun couple with great chemistry. The story had just enough drama, a whole lotta heat and a good HEA.

Wonderful hot smexy read and great address to this series. Smoking hot commitment fob and sexy determined heroine with sizzling chemistry make for an entertaining scorching hot read. Looking forward to next book in the series.

James and Serenity have a love hate relationship until they don’t. Their chemistry sizzles and I couldn't put this down. I loved their back and forth and the heat coming off in waves between them.
