Patience and Peeping
If you are looking for a very dirty, voyeuristic, insta-love novella with plenty of Halloween, this is the book. I like the level of heat as well as the way Hanna patiently and persistently pursued her older widowed neighbor, Harley. I also love his peeping tendencies. 😉🔥💋 I'm voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this story.

I wanted a short and sexy Halloween read and this one fit the bill.
Harley is the tall, sexy, tatted up, widow neighbor of Hanna. After moving in next door, she couldn’t stop thinking about him. Nor could she stop flirting with him and giving him all the signals to indicate she was interested, very interested.
Hanna was aware of his past and understanding of his current situation, and yet she was still all-in. She just had to be patient and let Harley realize what was right in front of him.
This novella was full of Halloween spirit and gave me the quick story I was looking for.

I was so bamboozled by the synopsis of this. Not even close to a well written Halloween novella. It had a couple of cute scenes but holy cow. Pacing?? Plot?? Consistency?? Doesn’t exist. And framer/spelling issues galore. If you want insta-love, stalker-themed, smut then this might be for you.

A story that’s wrapped round Halloween is right up my alley. Hanna is a woman that is full of life and basically starting her second life for the better this time round when she moves in next door to Harley, a man that keeps to himself and understandable after we learn about the events that took place in his past. This story is both lighthearted as well as sexy at times. Hope was wrapped round my heart strings the entire time, I swear she’s my spirit person. I love everything about her and couldn’t get enough. A steady paced read with a guarantee HEA. Just when you think the story is complete with those words “The End” we’re given an epilogue that had me on the verge of tears.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought Harley and Hanna were wonderful together. I really enjoyed the connection and the chemistry between these two. Harley is just trying to get through life with is daughter while Hanna just wants a family to truly accept her. These two can't help but be drawn to each other even though Harley just to fight it. I really enjoyed this book and I think that Ms. Dee did a wonderful job with this book. I would recommend this book and Ms. Dee as an amazing author.

Harley is given a second chance at forever but he’s scared he feels too much too fast. Hannah has always been wild and crazy but now she’s home and wants to settle in to forever. This was cute Halloween themed read. The characters had an undeniable spark right from the start and the chemistry just gets hotter and hotter. Lots of emotions keep the pages turning and a cute little girl ties it all together. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read.
Harley meet Hannah when she moves in next door to him and introduces herself. She brings him baked goods because she wants to get to know him. She sees a ring on his finger and finds out he is a widow, his wife passed five years ago from cancer. She tries to give him time, because she knows it will be hard for him to start a new relationship after his wife passing. She can’t help flirting with him. Harley is attracted to Hannah but he can’t start a relationship. He feels it is wrong since he is committed to his late wife. Hannah is babysitting for a friend when Harley comes to install a security system for them. She can’t help but once again flirt with him. He takes in the way she is around the baby and now knows he must do something about the attraction he has for her. He shows up at her place and asks her if she will babysit for him. When she looks at him she can’t believe he has a child, but then figures out it’s his daughter, Hope with his late wife. He tells her he thinks she will be a good influence for his daughter they seem to like the same things. Hannah falls in love with his daughter, Hope and wishes Harley would fall for her. When Harley takes Hope to see her grandparents he tells Hannah to wait up for him. He is late arriving back to her house. She always leave the door unlocked so he is able to get in. He hears her pleasuring herself and ask her if she couldn’t wait for him. He drops to his knees and takes over for her, pleasuring her with his mouth. He then carries her back to her bedroom and they get physical. Harley and Hannah arrive to pick up Hope at school, she won ribbons for her costume. When they arrive back at their homes, which are side by side. Hannah is shocked they are mirror images of each other, one dark one light. She isn’t sure when Harley had the time to do this. Hope wants to pass out halloween candy and watch movies instead of trick or treating. Harley tells Hannah he loves her and wants to live in one house instead of being neighbors. Hannah is happy with that and tells him she love him. One year later Hope is acting up and Hannah has to put her foot down. When Harley comes in he stand with Hannah on her decision to punish Hope. Hope get upset and they sit down and talk to her. She has been acting out in class and causing problems in school. Hope tells her dad and Hannah she want them to be a family and call Hannah, mom. She wants them to live together in one house instead of two. Harley goes down on one knee and ask Hannah if she’ll marry him and be Hope’s mom. Hannah says yes to everything.

Dee Ellis joins the multi-author Halloween Steam series with the deliciously wicked, scary, steamy good Wicked Wishes. Harley has had his eye on his new next door neighbour, Hanna, all summer, but the widower at least ten years her senior feels she is too young to pursue. Hanna has overcome her party girl ways, yet still innocent in many respects, she has known from the moment she laid eyes on Harley that she wanted to be with him. As Halloween approaches, Harley decides that sometimes it is worth everything to give in to your wicked wishes, even when they scare you. This is a fabulously steamy read, with Harley and Hanna both entertaining and engaging, their banter delicious and their vulnerabilities heart-wrenchingly wonderful to see. A must-read in this fun Halloween series!

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Wicked wishes is a novella in the ‘’Halloween steam’’ collection.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Hanna moved to a small town, she set her eyes on her hunky neighbour. Harley is a single father and widower not looking for love. When he catches feelings for Hanna, how long will he be able to resist her?
The chemistry between Harley and Hanna is clear to see and I liked them together. I thought they were perfect for one another.
I absolutely loved Hope and her bond with Hanna.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.

Wicked Wishes by Dee Ellis is part of the multi-author Halloween Steam series and it definitely delivers on all the steamy goodness of some spicy hot candy. This is a small town romance between new neighbors who are at opposite ends of their lives in that she has moved to town to start her life over and is hoping that includes having a family, while he has a family but is stuck in a holding pattern because of his broken heart. They have a steamy hot chemistry which both are surprised about but not sure what to do about it. What they learn eventually is that sometimes you just have to ring that doorbell at the haunted house so that you can get to all the sweet treats.

What. Did. I. Just. Read. This book had a 4.0 rating on Good Reads when I started; I do not understand how. I’m not saying it’s terrible, I’m just saying I’m not into stalkers, no plot, and no character development, so I didn’t enjoy the book. The reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and every “Top Ten Halloween Books” lists I googled with this on it, lied to me.
When a guy is stalking someone and then doing laps around their house at night, it just immediately makes my skin crawl. But if that’s what gets ya going, this is the book for you. Just brace yourself for sentences that obviously weren’t proof read and some flashbacks to when you were in high school and stumbled across some poorly written fan fiction when you were supposed to be sleeping.

Harley lost his wife (his high school sweetheart) to cancer. He just was kind of satisfied with being alone forever. little did he know he would find Hanna and Hanna fights for her future. The connection is instant but Harley refuses to give in, thinks he is not deserving. He loved his wife and the life that they should have. But Hanna finds a way to open his heart for another love. If you not like that the H kind of pines after his wife/the life they would have at the start of this story.... it's not a story for you. It's was a sweet, romantic ,kind of sad but cute story with a sweet HEA and an adorable Hope ❤❤❤

Wicked Wishes is fast Halloween story that will warm your heart. Harley has a wall around his heart since his wife died, and has focused on raising his daughter. Hanna has been known as a wild child, who is looking to change. When she moved to town, she did not expect to move next to a sexy man that is avoiding her.
This is an easy read that is very entertaining. I love the characters' connection not only with each other, but how Hanna interacts with Harley's daughter. The tension between Harley and Hanna will heat up your kindle quickly.

I really liked the relationship between Hanna, Harley and Hope the rest of the story was just okay.
Harley is a widower who has fallen for Hanna but is afraid to put himself out there, afraid of losing someone again and maybe betraying his wife. Hanna was a wild child but wants to settle down and have a family. Will she get the chance?
One problem I had was the story felt disjointed in the beginning. I was a bit confused at times. I also thought Hope was introduced too late in the story. I wish she was introduced earlier and the story would have worked better. It was with her introduction the book started to become more enjoyable.

Perfect steamy read for Halloween
I love how the story is built, the construction of the characters, the tension between both protagonists. I love Harley and Hannah. And the little monster, obviously.
It's a short story but the plot doesn't feel rush like I've read "Night Shade" recently but the plot seems weak for me, the world wasn't believable in my opinion, and the romance felt forced. Not in Wicked wishes. Both protagonists have their past, their issues but the way they try to move on and do better. And the spice is just perfect🔥🔥

Wicked Wishes is a short, Halloween romance between a single father and his beautiful next door neighbor. When Harley a widower and his adorable daughter become friends with Hanna the next door neighbor he never imagined he would fall in love with her. I loved how these two didn't rush their relationship. This is a sweet, holiday romance with believable characters and a great ending. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

An absolutely fantastic addition to the Halloween Steam series! It is well written, emotionally deep, funny, witty, steamy, and intriguing with amazing characters (especially 5 year old Hope), sizzling chemistry, and more. Definitely recommended!

Scary Emotional ~
What a fantastic story! The emotions just flowed off the page, the need, the lust, the brokenness, the scared, the desire all rolled up into a well written story that was such an emotional rollercoaster to read. I loved it! I really enjoy stories that make me feel, and this one did that in spades! Loved the epilogue!

This had all the parts but the romance was missing for me. I got that they were attracted to each other but something wasn't there. I loved that he was a widower but he was too much in his head. He needed therapy.

Hanna asserted her desire for the big guy next door from day one. Harley wanted her but had reasons to be cautious. They bond over the love of a little monster. He finally gets thing right but his proposal is unusual.

Loved this book. A sweet and entertaining read, fast paced and easy to follow. It is a shorter read but no less enjoyable Insta love. Older man and younger woman. Loved the characters, especially the little monster and her weirdness. Overall, a great story.
