Containing Enthusiasm
4.5 stars - Marc and Maia have a sweet and sizzling story that's a tad over-the-top. I enjoyed how they met and how Marc struggled with containing himself once he realized what his life needed to be complete. 💋🔥💜🎉

Defending Love is the story of driven attorney Marc Wilson and bartender/student Maia Rosas. Marc is thirty-eight and is determined to become partner by the time he is forty. To do that he has only concentrated on work, with the thought he would find love, a wife and family once he could provide for them. But his cousin Teresa has other ideas as she worries "unless he makes finding a partner a priority, he'll miss his chance." That is where the Zaftig Dating Agency comes in as she refers him to them. Mona thinks she has the right woman to match Marc and that would be Maia. She is twenty-six years old and works as a bartender but is a grad student getting her accounting degree. The perfect place for Marc and Maia to cross paths is at her work, Simmons Pub, with the help of Teresa one night. When Marc arrives on time at the pub his brain immediately freezes when he sees the beautiful young woman behind the bar. Teresa is running on "Teresa Time" so he gets a few minutes to try and get his tongue and brain to work together to talk with Maia. He doesn't have a lot of success but Teresa has a sneaky plan anyway, lucky for him. When Maia first saw the handsome, older and sexy man standing at the bar she immediately perked up. Then when they chatted for a few and he observed him with his cousin she was melting, and would have him starring in more than a few fantasies. So when Teresa asked her for her number while Marc was in the bathroom she immediately gave it to her. When he phoned the next day to ask her to dinner she was surprised, very happily. They have a connection that is cemented over a posh dinner and a decadent chocolate masterpiece dessert, plus the walk in the park holding hands and kissing under the stars just cement it. But will Marc be able to take a step back and reassess his priorities or will he be married to his job forever and lose out on having Maia and a family?
This is another delectable, sweet, fun, smexy, romantic and entertaining addition to the series. I really loved this story and characters, and the epilogue is just as delicious as the first date.

The premise of the stories is that sometimes Fate needs a little help getting deserving people together. The Zaftig Dating Agency helps alpha men find the women of their dreams! This series gives the reader stories about all kinds of different people and topics, and you will love the people you meet here.
Marc Wilson is a 38-year-old lawyer who was referred to the Zaftig Agency by his cousin, Teresa Clinton. He says Marc is trying so hard to make partner before he turns 40 and spends every waking hour working. He has always wanted a family, but he just may miss his chance if he doesn’t take a little time out. The woman selected for him to meet is Maia Rosas, a 26-year-old bartender and grad student pursuing her studies in accounting. A meeting will be arranged at Simmons’ Pub where Maia works as Teresa invites Marc to join her for a drink. Let the sparks fly!
Marc got to the bar promptly at 9 p.m. – coming straight from work! – but Teresa hadn’t arrived yet. She has always had no sense of time, so this was typical. The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of the Zaftig Dating Agency series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Marc sexy as all get out attorney, working day in/day out trying to make partner at his firm, giving up on life for an unforgiving job, and forgetting to live until his cousin drags him out. Maia a student in college working on an accounting degree, working at the bar to put herself through school and her path cross a man who looks tired. Maia works at the bar his cousin drags him off to the moment he speaks to him, his world tilts and all he can think is what’s her name, what’s her number, and when can he see her again not realizing he has the same affect on him. His cousin get her number and tells him to call the chemistry is insanely intense and the magnetic pull can’t be ignored in fact it have these two so tied up in knots and not wanting to walk away from each other after the first date but is it enough for him to make time for her, will he make partner, and can they find happiness?

For the past few years everything but her studies have been her focus but the night she meets Marc she finds something other than numbers fascinating and when he asks her on a date she agrees. Is now the time to explore something more than numbers and is Marc ready for something more?
Marc has spent years working to wards his ultimate goal, that of making law partner by the age of forty. Focused only on that goal romance and family have taken a backseat but on a rare occasion he has agreed to meet his cousin Teresa for a drink at a local bar, she’s late as usual but he finds something better than any drink a woman who serves them. His reaction is one that he had never felt before and as he waits for his cousin he’s fallen under her spell. He is elated when she agrees to a date and for the first time in his life he’s not focused on just his career. Is Marc ready to fall in love and discover more to life than work?
As always a cute and super sweet read. These books always bring a little light into my day and I look forward to the short read operas that for a quick bath or a bedtime read. 3.7 star read.

This is another book by the famous matchmaker Mona Zaftig. Her service was request by the cousin of Marc Wilson, Teresa, to help him find his one.
Marc leaves his law office and arrives at the local bar waiting for his cousin Teresa, when he sees the gorgeous bartender and is drawn to her instantly.
Maia a bartender at Simmons Pub, is also a grad student, she sees a handsome guy walking in and starts talking to him, while he waits for his cousin Teresa. Before leaves the bar Teresa asks for Maia phone number for her cousin Marc, saying he was too shy to ask, but Maia had her doubts that a successful businessman like Marc will call her.
The next day Marc calls and asked Maia out to dinner and the shy, beautiful, curvy woman said yes. It's a night that they both shared and enjoyed and they didn’t want it to end, so it didn’t.

She decides to set him up with Maia a bartender who is also going to college. Marc goes to the bar to meet his cousin, only he didn’t expect to meet and fall for beautiful Maia! He knows instantly that she is the one and even though his career means everything to him she means so much more! Maia can’t believe that gorgeous lawyer Marc would be interested in her, but finds herself falling for him! Another great book in the series!

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Defending love is the latest release in the ‘’zaftig dating agency’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Marc is a lawyer working his way to partner of the firm. Because of that, he isn’t looking for love. When he meets a pretty bartender will he change his plans/mind?
The chemistry between Marc and Maia is clear to see and I liked them together.
I liked the ending of this book!

This is book number 75 of the Zaftig Dating Agency series and focuses on Marc and Maia. Marc is a complete workaholic who is determined to make partner at his law firm. When he walks into the bar that Maia works at and sees her, his focus immediately switches from work to her. The connection and attraction between the 2 of them is instant and they end up falling hard and fast for each other. Marc realizes that being partner isn't the most important thing in his life anymore. I really enjoyed this story! Great addition to the series!

Do you want a short story packed with sexual chemistry and a hea? Then Marc and Maia's story is for you. Their story is perfect for the before work or bed reader. You get spicy scenes with sweet scenes. Nothing seems fake at all with the author's writing. The only complaint that I have is that I wish it was this easy for romance to happen in real life.

Defending Love was another awesome story from the files of the Zaftig Dating Agency by Jane Fox. Marc is determined to make partner at the law firm at the expense of his social life. Thankfully, his cousin is looking to change that when she signs him up with Mona and her agency. Maia is a bartender and a graduate student with no time for a relationship. But when they meet the chemistry between Maia and Marc is off the charts hot and undeniable! 5 stars!

This is a Zaftig Dating Agency love story for Marc and Maia. These two are so cute. I loved how he treats her like a princess and she sees him as her own Prince Charming. This is a great happily ever after fairytale if there ever was one.

Enjoyed reading of Marc, a overworked lawyer, who sees Maia, a bartender, and decides to take a chance on having a life and love. I also loved Mona’s partner in crime for this match - Marc’s cousin, Teresa, who shows she lives her cousin a lot to help him find love.

As with all others in this series, this short story is absolutely delightful. Workaholic lawyer, Marc, is set up by his cousin when they meet at a pub and he is immediately drawn to the bartender, Maia. Maia is also going to school to get her degree in accounting but is shocked that the interest is mutual. Their connection is immediate and strong. Absolutely adorable HEA.

Maia is a bartender but is also doing classes to become an accountant. As their paths cross the heavens align and they are both on the path for greater things. A great short story and quick to read.

I received this as an arc for my honest review
This was a cute age gap/ insta love story. This series does a great job of having the same feel each story but they’re still different. I liked the storyline and the characters. Marc and Maia had a great connection and loads of chemistry. I liked their story.

Another great romance with the help from Mona at Zaftig Dating Agency. Marc is a busy businessman who has no time for dating but one night he is meeting his cousin Teresa at a local bar when he sees the beautiful young bartender Maia. He does not think she would be interested in him but his cousin ask for her phone number for Marc and he calls to take her out the dinner and the rest is history.
