4.5 stars - Mason and Helena are sweet and steamy. I love that Mason asserts his desire from date one when they encounter his former high school sweetheart. Natasha was nasty but Mason was clear with his decisions. It was sooo sweet. 😍🔥
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
First things first; I like the cover of this book! Coming home is the latest release in the ‘’zaftig dating agency’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Mason moves back to his small hometown, he doesn’t expect to find love. As soon as he meets Helena, he wants her but will love blossom between them? The chemistry between Mason and Helena is clear to see and I liked them together. I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.
Coming Home is the story of how Mason Jeffords and Helena Dowd are matched together by Mona Zaftig after he is referred by his mother to the Zaftig Dating Agency. Mason is thirty-four years old and has just moved back to his hometown of Boldale from San Francisco to be closer to his family. He is a computer programmer but because he is stuck behind his screen all day, and all other hours, he never meets anyone who he could have a relationship with, and hopefully a family. Helena is a twenty-three year old southern girl who has recently moved to Boldale. She needed a change, a fresh start, after her mother died. So with nothing holding her to her hometown, as she is an only child and her mother was an only child, she decided a move was the perfect thing to do. When she got to Boldale she got a job as a waitress at Doc's Diner, being hired by the owner's daughter, Lisa, who manages the diner. When Mason is over at his mother's house for dinner she instead sends him to Doc's Diner to do take-out. As he walks through town things have not changed but when he gets to Doc's he realizes that one big thing has.....the new curvy and beautiful waitress. it seems that coming back to Boldale is about to be the best thing that ever happened to him. When the handsome man walks into Doc's Helena is instantly smitten. Then when he keeps talking to her as they wait for his order it is easy and something clicks between them. So when he asks her out before he leaves she is thinking that fresh start may be coming true.
This is a sweet, romantic and steamy insta-love story. There is some drama, some romance, family, friends, starting over and some sizzling chemistry. Both Mason and Helena are very lovable and the secondary characters are all small town lovely. This was an enjoyable read and a nice addition to the Zaftig Dating Agency series.
Jane Fox has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Helena and Mason. Mason has moved back home to Boldale from San Francisco to be near his family again. He is working when his mom comes over to his place. Instead of cooking, she wants him to go to Doc's Diner and grab something. When Mason gets to the diner, he is shocked by the woman who seats him. He grew up in Blodale and he has never seen her before. She tells him her name is Helena and she has been in town a few months. He said he was Mason and he just moved back to town. They talk while is order is being done. Before he leaves he asks for her phone number. She doesn't expect him to call her, but she can hope. Lisa, the owner tells her that Mason is a good one. Before her shift ends, she gets a message from Mason saying that he would like to see her again and if she was free the following evening? She shows the message to Lisa and is giving the next day off. Mason takes her on a picnic. While they are eating, Mason hears his name called out. It is Natasha, the girl he dated for four years back in high school. He says hi to her and introduced her to Helena. Mason said that they went to school together. She said that he knew it was more than that. She tries to get him to commit to going out with her again until finally, Mason tells her that he is not interested and that she is interrupting his date. She tells him fine and she would let him and his chubby friend get back to it. Mason had been holding Helena's hand but now she removes her hand from his. He tells her that he thinks she is beautiful and wants to be with her. They go back to his house and talk some more. They end up sleeping together. They start seeing each other. Will Helena and Mason stay together? This is a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is a story from an absolutely wonderful series I never tire of reading. The books are short but pack so much into them! The premise of the stories is that sometimes Fate needs a little help getting deserving people together. The Zaftig Dating Agency helps alpha men find the women of their dreams! This series gives the reader stories about all kinds of different people and topics, and you will love the people you meet here.
Mason Jeffords is a 34-year- old computer programmer who has been referred to the Zaftig Agency by his mother, Sherri, who says Mason is moving back home to be closer to his family, but she knows he wants a family of his own. She says that Mason gives everything he has to his job, but if he doesn't make time to find a partner, he might miss out on what will make him happiest. The woman selected for him to meet is Helena Dowd, a 23-year-old waitress. Helena is fairly new to town, and has taken a job at “Doc's Diner”, which just so happens to be Mason's favorite restaurant, so they will be set up to meet there. Let the sparks fly!
Mason’s mom told him they had nothing in the fridge for dinner and asked him to go to Doc’s Diner and bring something home. He walks through the door, loving the smell of the food, when he is greeted by a beautiful stranger. He asks her on a date, a lovely picnic, and they return to his house afterward. But an old flame interrupts them on the beach, ignoring Helena completely, and openly inviting Mason to her bed. Will Helena walk away from the drama? It’s obvious this woman wants him back and Helena’s insecurities about her own body start to kick in.
Grab your copy and find out if these two to will realize they should not give up on each other. And be sure to read the epilogue to learn whether they find their HEA.
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of the Zaftig Dating Agency series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Set up by his mom! Mason sexy as all get out into writing code, finally ready to settle down and heads back home to his small town. Helena’s mom passed away leaving her broken with nothing holding her to their hometown she decides to move, and it just so happens to Mason hometown. She is working as a waitress at Doc’s Mason favorite place to eat outside of mom’s kitchen and of course the moment he walks through the door the air shifts and he can’t take his eyes off the beauty who greets him. Refusing to leave with her number especially with the chemistry is insanely intense and the magnetic pull having him texting her asking her out not long after leaving. While out on their date an ex runs into says some hurtful things to Helena or about her will it be enough to stop their date, will he convince she is the only one for him, will she trust his words, and can they find happiness?
Mason Jeffords is a computer programmer moved back home to be near his family and to also have a family of his own. While visiting his mother’s house they decided to get delivery for dinner and Doc’s Diner was the choice. Mason enters the diner and is struck to silence when he sees the gorgeous, short, curvy woman he has ever seen. Helena is new to Boldale, only been in town for a month, but when a tall gorgeous guy walks in Helena is instantly attracted to him and when he asked for her phone number, she was sure she will never hear from him again, cause who would go out with a short curvy girl like her. A little while later Mason text her for a date, which she agree to. Their date was a picnic at one of the parks and of all people to see them together was a old girlfriend of Mason, who stop to talk to him and also to get Mason to start dating her again and make Helena jealous. Can Mason convince Helena how he feels about her or will he lose is one chance of happiness. I am volunteering to leave a ARC review of this book..
The Zaftig Dating Agency books are awesome quick reads with instant love and a happy ending. If you need a romance fix with a bit of fire these will tide you over until you get a chance to sink your teeth into something with more detail.
Don't make the mistake that they aren't enjoyable because they are short. I have enjoyed all of the ones I have read and plan to read the rest. The recipe may repeat in each story but the characters are all still worth getting to read about.
Mason has returned to his small hometown to be close to his family and to start to settle down because he wants to start his own and having a family in the big city doesn't appeal to him. Now he just has to find the right woman.
Helena has left her small town after her mother passes. There is nothing keeping her there and the memories hurt too much. When Mason walks into the diner where she is working sparks fly and Mason doesn't plan to give her a chance to get away.
This is book number 72 of the Zaftig Dating Agency series and focuses on Mason and Helena. Mason had just moved back to his hometown where he was wanting to settle down and start a family. When he goes to his favorite diner, he is rendered speechless by the sight of Helena. Helena was new to town and working as a waitress at the diner. Mason knows pretty quickly that he can see a great future with Helena and thankfully she sees the same kind of future with Mason. They have a great HEA! Excellent book and addition to the series!

Helena just moved to town and she is working at the diner in town, when Mason walks in to order food for him and his mom. They talk so easily that he asks for her phone number and texts her ten minutes later. Loved the characters and what Mason had planned for the first date was romantic. Thoughtful, too, as who wants to go to a restaurant when you have been working in one all day. The storyline has nothing troublesome or iffy, just old fashioned romance from the heart. So happy to see that Helena is not alone any more. Great ending.

Book 72 in the Zaftig Dating Agency series, can be read as a standalone. I like this series of short romances that feature a couple that don't know that they have been set up. Mason is a computer programmer. Helena is a waitress. When they see each other for the first time there is an instant connection. This short story is told in dual POV with insta-love, 2 people ready for commitment, a romantic date, a spicy interlude, good details in settings, a HEA and a satisfying epilogue. A very entertaining read!

This is a fast book with a great love match. Standalone with no cliffhangers. Mason has moved back to this hometown to be closer to his family, but can't seem to find the right woman for himself. Then he goes out for takeout and finds her. Helena is new to town and loves the town and her job. Nothing is better then having an attractive man ask for a date. But??? Drama during the date was the perfect twist to keep this book intense. Well done Jane Fox! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Mason is back in his hometown, wanting to settle down but not actively dating. Mona works her magic, and Mason meets Helena, the new girl in town. I love that Mason doesn't put up with any of Natasha's crap. I hate how nasty Natasha was to Helena. But Helena gets the guy in the end, and they make such a cute couple. I really loved this story. Helena and Mason are great characters. The author gave them such a sweet cute meet. There is a sweetness in their meet but also a bit of heat in their sexual chemistry. This story is a winner for me because the characters meet in such a normal way. They are very entertaining. I received this arc from Booksprout and freely left this review.
Coming Home is book 72 in the Zaftig Dating Agency series by Jane Fox. It's another perfect match made by Mona Zaftig after Mason is selected by his mom to find his soulmate. A trip to Doc's Diner leads to Mason meeting Helena and he immediately knows she is the one for him. 5 stars! Excited for the next installment.
Cute story, although a bit basic. There isn’t anything unpredictable or unique about it, but that doesn’t mean it’s not good, because it is. If your looking for a nice, light read that you don’t need to guess about.. then this would work for you.
