They say you can't run away from your problems, and Joel learns that the hard way. Joel is set to marry his long-term girlfriend, Kim, but unexpectedly hooks up with his roommate, Zoe. Hounded by guilt from the affair but afraid to confess it, Joel runs away. As far and fast as he can. Joel ends up at a cosmetics job in New Zealand and, sure, he's a bit homesick, but hopefully he can tackle his problems in peace, right? Wrong. Soon Joel falls apart and has to learn how to put himself back together--with the help of a surprise guest.
This book is honestly be pretty entertaining. However I definitely recommend this for older audiences, I did not connect to the characters cause of my age. But the art style is still really different and, cool just not the age bracket for my type of books. P.S. I love the little author notes at the end.
I’d like to give it 2.5 stars but I liked it too move to give it 2. It has the potential to be SO good. If each episode was better focused and there wasn’t so much time in between them it would be great. Episodes will kinda drag and finally get to what you want at the very end and then you have to wait another week for another mediocre episode
