In the Florida Keys, the tops are down, the margaritas are cold, and water is murder. Madison and Fab’s morning coffee comes with a side dish of witnessing two bodies being dumped at the end of their boat dock. And gossip is flying around Tarpon Cove faster than a cigarette boat. When yet another “easy” job turns up more dead bodies, the smell is making Madison barfy, and the girls’ “I know nothing” faces are getting a workout. So is the hotline to their lawyer. Madison just wants happy endings all around, but evidence is piling up that they’re all being watched. If they don’t play their cards right, they could be someone’s loose end—and all wind up dead.
Deborah Brown is the author of the Paradise series, Crazy, Deception and Trouble Florida Keys mysteries, which makes the reader laugh, cry and cheer...
My personal ad would read:
There's nothing a new pair of shoes can't cure.
Redhead. Long legs. There's nothing like a strawberry-lemonade in summer. Favorite activity: Filling my pockets with seashells. An avid rule follower when eating Animal Cookies: Broken ones get eaten first, match up the rest, duplicates next, line them up favorite to not, least favorite go first. South Florida is my home, with my ungrateful rescue cats, and where Mother Nature takes out her bad attitude in the form of hurricanes.
I’m reading this series for the second time. There are things about the books that drive me crazy. Bottled water! I’m SO anti plastic bottles. Madison should get reusable ones if she can’t just run it from the faucet. Her tolerance of drunks kills me since she’s had several opportunities to dry out both of them. Fab’s obsession with driving and Madison letting her drive the Hummer all the time. Other than a few things, I love this series. It makes me want to go to Florida so bad! I want food from their favorite places. I want a sweet hunky guy that has to promise to never pick me up. I want a house on the beach near my best friend. I want to be a real estate mogul. I don’t think I want quite as much adventure as Madison and Fab get into, but some of theirs would be fun,
Trouble Finds a New Home This book is part of a series that I think is better when read in order because the ever-evolving backstory is a huge part of the tale. Each book is a complete mystery with no cliffhangers. The stories take place in South Florida and center around a pair of kick-butt women, and their friends, and family. This episode has several different things going on that converge into a holy mess. There is also a lot of humor in this story that dilutes the drama just right. I have been binge-reading the series and am going to continue. Note to author: the only people that use the word 'scintilla' are teachers.
Madison and Fab are at it again. Well more like "IT" is at Madison and Fab again. Not the paragons of innocence, but they are more reactionary this time around. Plenty of what passes for normal for these two, but some oh-boy moments abounded. Lots of fun, serious drama, and a 95% resolution rate. One major item is left, perhaps the next book will see the matter conclude as we all hope it does. Vague much, right? Read and you will understand.
Speaking of reading, you should read this. Highly recommended!
I want to be friends with Fab and Madison. They always prevail. Such a fun story to make you forget all your problems even just for a day. So much going on and with such great friends and family who needs anything more? Sit down with your favorite libation and have some fun reading!
I love Madison and Fab!!! They are hysterical! Bodies everywhere, as you can imagine...the girls are just minding their own business, no really, they were, well where most of the bodies showed up!!!! LOl bodies keep showing up around them! Jump in and read their next adventure, you will LOVE IT!!!!
You would think that having a secluded compound, trouble wouldn't find them. Leave it to the crazies to be in abundance. Love the off the wall scenarios and the even more off the wall conclusions. Madison and Fab are a duo to be reckoned with.
Another fun romp in paradise. It’s nice to have read most , if not all of the Paradise series and have all the characters down, enjoying the thrills and spill along with Debora town who is a master of skillfully weaving the hysterical madness surrounding the Cottages and families of Madison and Fab, the brave and indomitable best friends.
Bodies in Paradise: An interesting and entertaining book.
This book by Deborah Brown held this reader's attention from beginning to end. There is lively action on almost every page. I like the way Deborah Brown uses the facial expressions of the characters to convey their feelings.
As usual, lots going on. I like all of the different side quests that pop up. I also like Madison's unique way of getting wheat she wants. Most of the time it works out. In this one she shows how great of a sister she is. We get to hear from Emery again as well. Never a dull moment.
One thing I know for sure, when I start reading I don't want to put it down. From the start, her characters become part of your family. I can't wait for the next book.
I love this series! Found it last year and binge read all the books, and was so bummed I had to wait for next one These are very well written, great characters and awesome story lines These are great beach reads! Again, loved the book!
One body, two body, three bodies, just stop counting.
Madison and Fab have become magnets for dead bodies, even more than usual, and they aren't even acquainted with any of them. This in addition to trying to help Brad, Xander, and friends of Cook. Just another day in Paradise!
I just can't tell anyone how much I love these books! The old is new again. The first eighteen books had already been written when I found them so I binge read, now it is so hard to wait for each new one. Keep up the good work Deborah.
Sadly, I have finished the series. No more adventures in paradise with fab and Madison. This is sad because every book has been well written with excitement, humor and a nice amount of romance. Well done!
This series is one of the best I have read, and I read a lot! Deborah Brown is now one of my top favorite authors! Great stories and the best, fun, crazy, and real character! All 23 of these are very refreshing and captivating to read!
Loved it! Wickedly funny situations that will have you laughing out loud. Murder, romance and fun. My favorite series. Let me know if you want a proofreader. I would do it for the laughs.
As always, this was an edge of your seater. Ms. Brown always keeps us entertained … and guessing! I thoroughly enjoyed this book now on to the next one!
