I thought I was giving her the job out of pity, but I definitely had some selfish reasons.

A delightful love story between two people who each had their lives already mapped out before them. One who thought he didn’t deserve more, and the other who trusted nobody because life had taught her that. Well worth a read.

This was a good read. Trey and Leslie have a one night stand. The next day Leslie shows up for a job interview and it's Trey. Of course he hires her and they hit it off. The problem is that Leslie has trouble trusting people and letting them help her. Luckily in the end she overcomes this and they get their happy ending.

Honoring Values and Responsibilities While Giving Love a Chance
The absolute worst first observation a potential new hire might offer at an interview would be to express her shock at the fact that she is about to be interviewed by the same person who last saw her the previous night naked in his bed, in his home during what the she had thought to be a one-night-stand. But for unemployed, single mom Leslie Popovich, after six months of unemployment, it would be unthinkable that she would not accept just about any legal or moral position offered her to be able to financially support herself and her 7-year-old daughter, Aurora. But running into the tall, dark and handsome CEO Trey Cataline as her boss-to-be, is almost overwhelming. And, this is not the first—or even counting last night—the second time that they had met. In fact, this is the third time that paths of the new hire and future boss have crossed. But it is the first time that names have been exchanged. Each novel that tells of the “alto, oscuro, y guapo” men can be read separately, but the ladies and their men are a wonderful group of friends whose love and support of each other makes the reader want to follow each friend’s story.

We did it our way...
It is lonely at the top! Trey is a hard working hottie with the weight of his business on his shoulders. With an elderly part-time secretary he truly adores Trey is struggling to keep the business running but it is hard to do when he is doing her work and his... with heavy emphasis on doing her job more than doing his own and Trey is about to implode. What he needs is a no nonsense secretary that can do with job without him holding their hand but take charge of his office so he can finally get some work done! Oh where art thou??? After another rough day Trey tries to relieve his stress, not in his favorite way but in the fastest way possible.... a stiff hard drink! I starts to help him a little bit until he notices the gorgeous woman sitting a just a couple of seats down... and just when he started relaxing Trey finds himself revved up all over again...
Leslie is a hardworking mom who has seen too many days that were filled with struggle. A no nonsense worker with strong work ethics, it has been hard to find long term employment when management has violated company policy by repeatedly propositioning her at not just one job but at many jobs. What is a mother to do when she has to pay the bills? One thing is for sure is to never give up. Rori, her daughter, is the light of her world and her baby girl is a fighter! When Leslie finds herself on the other end of another pink slip from her job what can she do but get a good stiff drink to help her get over her latest set back. Things were going well until she saw the handsome man just a few seats down from her. Maybe I will send him a drink... what could it hurt right???
This is a story of two individuals who meet right when they are at the breaking point only to realize that there was something bigger at play. When fate steps in to give them another chance to acknowledge what is between them they grab a hold with both hands and ride the wave for all they are worth. Only to realize that once again road blocks and hurdles are placed before them in their journey to their HEA. It is funny to me but I did not know I needed this story until I read it... that is just how satisfying this story was to me. This was an excellent read and yet another great job on love in one of the many forms that it comes in!

Rude Boss' Secret Baby is the 4th addition to the Tall, Dark and Handsome Series by JP Comeau. When I started reading this book I forgot it was part of the Tall, Dark and Handsome Series and was surprisingly happy when Guadalupe from the previous books made an appearance. I love it when authors include characters from previous books. This is just one of the things that made me love this book.
Ms. Comeau is wonderful in her character development. She is able to make her characters human, relatable and lovable. I could easily relate to Leslie, a single mother, struggling to raise her daughter alone, and out of work. I have been there myself with 2 sons. Leslie's struggles are artfully brought to the page as are her desires as a single woman.
Trey is a billionaire, business owner that is outwardly hard, stern, full of himself and definitely bossy but Ms. Comeau also gives us insight into his other softer side in his treatment and caring showed to Leslie. Trey and Leslie met one night at a local bar and were instantly attracted to each other. Trey could not believe it when Leslie turned him down and left him there alone. Both were unable to get the other out of their minds and fantasies until they met again at the same bar months later; this time going home together.
This is an enjoyable story of how two people deal with having slept together and then meeting each other as potential boss and employee. As I stated earlier, I was pleasantly surprised when Guadalupe is brought into the story and works her magic with her insight and recommendations. I was even more surprised when Gavin, an actor and previous subject of the previous books in the series was also brought seamlessly into the story. The story is a page turner, with lots of angst and all the feels. It has everything you want from book including a HEA.
This book is definitely worth the read, it is one of Ms. Comeau's best and I look forward to more in the Tall, Dark and Handsome series.

Trey and Leslie have a chance meeting in a bar. He had a bad day and she was just laid off. She cuts their night short dashing Trey's dream. Cut to six months later and Trey encounters Leslie in the same bar. This time they have their one night together but Leslie leaves before he can get her full name and number.
At work, Trey is trying to find a qualified assistant without much luck until one résumé jumps out at him. He emails the candidate to come in for an interview. Trey and Leslie are both shocked to come face to face with each other. Trey hires Leslie if for no other reason that he wants to get to know her but he can't let her notice.
Our couple both have baggage. Trey feel abandoned since his mom died and his dad would talk down to him. Now a very wealthy man he seeks solace in the material things. Leslie has a seven year old daughter, Aurora (Rori) who comes before all things including a job. Will Trey be able to capture Leslie's heart? Will she be able to loosen the reigns to allow Trey into her life, especially when she has a surprise for him?
This couple are continually drawn to each other. They have chemistry. As Trey realizes what he is missing in a family, he steps up to help with Aurora's health issues. The interaction between Trey and Rori are adorable. He is able to talk to her without talking down to her. Rori helps Trey to find his laughter, reminding him of the free feeling of childhood.

This a love story that you will not see coming... Leslie was given a couple hours by her best friend to go out and have a drink with adult time while she watches her daughter, Aurora and while out a man, Trey comes up to her and they have a drink and chat. Trey offers Leslie a night together and she turns him down saying she has other things to get to. Trey is at a loss for words never being turned down before. Leslie is a single mom who has not had it easy and had issues at several of her jobs with harassment from boss’s. Trey is a successful businessman who is in need of a personal assistant and decides to find one. These two meet again at the same bar 6 months later and end up spending the night together that was something else. When Leslie goes for her job interview she is surprised to hear that voice of Trey and can not believe she is getting the job along with the pay and benefits he is offering. Trey is aware of the references Leslie has and is not happy she was treated so badly and gives her a chance. These two work well together and keep it professional at the office but outside it’s something they can not stop and their chemistry and connection is something special. When Aurora is rushed to the hospital Trey is there with her through out it all! Trey is a man who who makes decisions for Leslie and Aurora to make their lives easier and along the way they fall in love and when Leslie discovers she is pregnant, Trey overhears he is overjoyed and excited. This is their chance for Trey to have a family, all Leslie needs to do is let Trey in and believe in their love! This is the story of Leslie and Trey. She is a single mom struggling to support her daughter. She had been victim of harassment at work and HR never did anything. She met Trey in a bar and both got attracted but he was looking for a one night stand and she had lost her job and had to come back with her daughter. Six months later Trey was looking for a new secretary and her resume caught his eye and sent an email for an interview. That night they reunited on the same bar but this time she left with him to his massive place. After a passionate night she left without giving Trey her information. The surprise is when Leslie found out, just in front of his office, that the man she spent the night with is the interviewer and potential boss.
The story continues with a lot of drama. I loved that Leslie always put her daughter, Aurora first ni matter that cost her new job. Trey got more and more involved with Leslie and with Aurora and wanted to have a family. But Leslie has to deal with her past and lower the walls she built to protect herself and her daughter to suffer again.
I love the characters, Trey never stopped to be a better man to win Leslie and Aurora’s hearts. Leslie was an excellent mom but her attitude was not always the best. Suri was more than a friend, a sister to Leslie. And Guadalupe made me laugh with her alto, oscuro y guapo! Nice plot! I really enjoyed this book, highly recommended.

Leslie and Trey meet for a few minutes at a bar and then she disappears. Leslie goes home to her daughter and starts planning her job search. Trey is looking for an assistant when Leslie's resume comes to his attention. The only thing that concerns him was the amount of jobs that she had went through. So he did some digging and found the reason. It upset him that she was treated like she was. So he sends an interview request and heads out for a drink for the night. Leslie's friend show up again and sends her out to have some time for herself again. Leslie and Trey run into each other again at the bar. Its not long before they give into temptation and share an amazing night together. Leslie leaves to return home to her daughter before Trey wakes up. When Leslie sees the email about the interview she excited and then the day she walks in and see that her new boss could be Trey her one night stand everything changes. Will their one night turn into something more? Can Trey show her that he is different from the other men she's known?
This is an amazing story that I couldn't put it down once I started it. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Rude Boss' Secret Baby is book 4 in the Tall Dark and Handsome series by J.P. Comeau. Despite this book being part of a series it can be read as a standalone.
Our heroine, is Leslie, a single mother that just got laid off and is struggling to make a good living for her and her daughter.
After being laid off, Leslie goes to a bar to wind off and meets Trey. Despite the obvious attraction, Leslie ends up leaving the bar, leaving Trey (and herself) frustrated. Luckily for both of them destiny was at work and they end up meeting in the same bar six months later and they have their one night stand. But Leslie leaves before Trey can even learn her name.
Fate, again does his work. Trey is looking for a new assistant, tho he hasn’t had much luck so far. He ends up falling on a resumé that looks promising and is stunned to be face to face with the woman that has been hunting his thoughts.
Both Trey and Leslie have a lot of demons and baggage, and Leslie doesn’t believe that a man like Trey could be interested in a poor single mother. But when Aurora, Leslie daughter, ends up in the hospital, Trey does everything in his power to help them.
It’s a lovely story and Trey is just the right kind of hero.

Is it serendipity
Rude Boss' Secret Baby is the fourth book in the Tall, Dark and Handsome Billionaires series and is about Trey and Leslie. This is a captivating story about a gruff, tall, dark and very handsome billionaire and a beautiful, young single mother who have one night of soul connection, toe curling passion. But the next day it turns out that she is hired by his PR company. So temptation and craving have landed at his doorstep in one tantalizing woman. They end up deciding to have some fun outside of the office together, after all it is just to hard to resist the temptation of each other. But for Trey something switches in him when Aurora, Leslie's daughter, is taken to the hospital again. He knows that he wants the two of them in his life and he wants to actually be there for them. As he tries to help Leslie resists since she is so used to doing things herself and not relying on anyone else. But when she discovers she is pregnant will she let Trey into her heart and build a family together? After all Trey is not going anywhere but by her side.
This is a lovely book and story. I liked the characters, including the supporting characters, and the story-line is sweet and sexy. This book was an enjoyable read.

This is a captivating story about a gruff, tall, dark and very handsome billionaire and a beautiful, young single mother who have one night of soul connection, toe curling passion. But the next day it turns out that she is hired by his PR company. So temptation and craving have landed at his doorstep in one tantalizing woman. They end up deciding to have some fun outside of the office together, after all it is just to hard to resist the temptation of each other. But for Trey something switches in him when Aurora, Leslie's daughter, is taken to the hospital again. He knows that he wants the two of them in his life and he wants to actually be there for them. As he tries to help Leslie resists since she is so used to doing things herself and not relying on anyone else. But when she discovers she is pregnant will she let Trey into her heart and build a family together? After all Trey is not going anywhere but by her side.
This is a lovely book and story. I liked the characters, including the supporting characters, and the story-line is sweet and sexy. This book was an enjoyable read.

This is the fourth book in the Tall, Dark and Handsome series. It’s a steamy single mom, boss' baby romance. I really enjoyed this story. It reads as a standalone so if you haven't read the first three books you won't feel lost. You will see some characters from the previous books and if you have read the other books then you'll recognize Trey. The book is high on heat and low on drama.
Both Trey and Leslie have issue with control, Trey is used to being in control of everything in this life and Leslie is a single mom who has spent the last 7+ years having to deal with everything herself. They meet in a bar but Leslie had to run out before they could do more than talk. Trey is disappointed that he didn't get her number. Six months ago, by and Trey finds her in the same bar. This time Leslie goes home with him but leaves in the Middle of the night and once again he doesn’t get her number. As fate would have it, they will soon meet again. Turns out that Leslie's one night stand is now her new boss. Do they keep it professional or do they pursue a relationship?

Sassy Assistant for the Rude Boss! This is about Leslie, Trey, and Aurora. Well I guess you can add Suri here too. Leslie and Trey meet one evening when they are both getting a drink to relax a little as she just lost her job and his assistant retired and he has not had time to replace her. Nothing happens this evening as she goes home to her little girl Aurora as her best friend Suri is taking care of her. Leslie is a single mother as her one night stand did not want anything to do with her pregnancy. Trey cannot seem to get Leslie out of his mind and when they meet again (at the same bar) she has a interview request so she goes for it.

It's a good romance, well written, hot and tender, with very good characters because neither of them is lacking in temper. They are also stubborn, and answer tit for tat to others. The narrative is a bit irregular, however, and I found that this game between their character tended to decrease a lot, making the course of their story more predictable.
After a night with a stranger, Leslie finds him the next day: he’s Trey her new boss. He remains cold for the respect of his employee, which is the antipodes of his internal conflict. As for Leslie, she waits so much for everything to end badly that she does not enjoy anything living day to day with her daughter, destroying the right to please herself.
Their situation can only be tense.

This book brings us Trey and Leslie. Trey and Leslie meet in a bar and spend a night together. Little does either one of them know that soon they will meet again, and Leslie applies for a job - and guess who the interviewer is? None other than Trey. Leslie is a single mom to an adorable girl named Rory. She is the most important part of Leslie's life and will do anything to protect her. However, the more that Leslie and Trey are together, they find it impossible to stay away from each other. Trey is perfect. He gets along so well with her Rory, they make such a cute team. The ending had me in tears. I LOVED this book. I highly recommend it. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

It was wonderful to see how Trey changed from the grumpy boss, when Leslie, a strong-willed, determined single mother and her precocious daughter came into his life. Their chemistry from the first time they met was out of this world, but despite their very different backgrounds, difficult pasts and the numerous reasons for them not to get involved, J.P. Comeau gave us this beautiful story of an irresistible love and a beautiful family. This book is a definite must read, as once you start reading it, you won’t be able to put it down.

The title is wrong.
There was no secret baby in this book. He found about the baby the same time she did. Where was the secret? Very disappointed with the title of this book. He never told her about his family. She never said anything about her family. I think we needed more. Her best friend was a life saver but she also had a life and it was rude the why she told her to get back to the apartment when the child was sick. I kin she was freaking out but that was not her responsibility. When the little girl was in the hospital and he sent her and the mother gifts all week neither one of them told him "thank you". I thought that was ungrateful and rude. He was being extremely nice to them. He had finally found some happiness. Two stars because there was not secret baby.

Trey is exhausted and in need of an assistant. He goes to a local bar the relax and he meets this gorgeous woman Leslie. She is at the bar to have a drink and relax as ordered by her best friend who is home babysitting her daughter Aurora. When Trey tries to seduce her, she walks away. Their meeting stays on their mind until they meet again for a second time and third time is a charm! Leslie needs a job fast and she applies everywhere but only gets one reponse and it turns out to be Trey's company being his secretary. Soon both their world will be turned upside down and will take a drastic turn. Great characters, touching story that will pull your hearstrings. JP Comeau is one of the best authors of realistic romance around. I volunteered to review this story.

I quite enjoyed this book. Tbh, my expectations were pretty low bcs from experience, shorter books like this with a title that makes me feel guilty reading mostly ended up with subpar writing and horrible pacing. However, this one was really good. It passed my expectations and I thought everything about it was super cute. I found the title a little misleading since he wasn’t rude imo, but I’m glad he wasn’t since it made it more enjoyable. I read somewhere that it had the secret baby trope, but I didn’t see it, so that was also a little misleading. Overall tho, I had a fun time reading. It was a great book to read after all the heavy shit I’ve read in the last week. It was very enjoyable and I gobbled that shit up.

This is the fourth book in the Tall, Dark and Handsome Billionaires Series but can be read as a standalone. This is Trey and Leslie's story. She swept him off his feet and made the gruff billionaire mellow a little. One night is all that was allowed since she was not yet his employee. But one night was never enough. Taboo, forbidden but so right. For a man who didn't want children it didn't take him long to be enamored by Leslie's daughter Aurora. The characters in this book were fun, likable and well developed. The story line will keep your interest and take you through a few twists to a happy ending. A great book

Rude Boss' Secret Baby. I found this book to be a good read. I enjoyed it! The characters were amazing and captured my heart. It surprised me that Trey would have so much compassion. He realized that Leslie and Rori were what he needed in his life. How Leslie came into his life was a little different than you can imagine, but nevertheless once she was in his life, there was no turning back. I thoroughly loved Trey and Leslie thru out the book. Both strong minded, but showing thru love,they soften,up. Due to daughter Aurora's illness, their love comes together. Having a surprise to Trey and Leslie, with unexpected pregnancy, they communicate their feelings. Trey, after hiring Leslie,realizes, he needs more of her. They become a family, Trey has softened ,become so loving, has made his lonely house, a family home. I loved the character's, showing anyone, can change for the better. Leslie, in beginning had some trust issues.

Whats not to love about an easy, curl up on the sofa romance. Trey is a sexy, but lonely billionaire, he is a love em and leave em one night stand type of guy. Leslie is sassy single mum who has no time for romance and just needs to get out and relax for a while. When these two meet, sparks fly but that first meeting doesn't end the way they would like. Some six months later before this pair meets again and its safe say that someone should have called the fire brigade such is the heat between them.

loved this book and could not put it down. Leslie meets Trey in a bar and throwing caution to the wind has a one night hot fling with him. Cue starting her new job and Trey is her new boss. Leslie is such a strong character and she is fiercely protective of her daughter Aurora. Trey comes across as a bit of a tyrant but he has a softer side that Leslie and her daughter slowly penetrates without realising it. You can see how they need each other and I loved how naturally their relationship developed. This story has it all with a HEA and hot scenes.

Leslie's sassiness and independence and Trey's take charge attitude that he was willing to tone down for Leslie made this a feel good read. The author made the book so much more enjoyable with the witty and effortless banter between all the characters. And how the relationship between Trey and Aurora developed simply melted my heart. Great editing, superb flow to the story will make me read this book again and again for sure.

This story was a sweet, steamy funny tale of finding that certain someone who will stick with you through good times and those even scarier ones! That someone who has a child from another person. Can enrich another person’s life by being in it. This story reminds me a lot of my own. Except without the all the money part I loved the unexpected twists and their respect for each other! I highly recommend it!!
