Winter in Anchor Point is quiet. Most businesses are closed in the off season, so when Jay organizes a Saint Patrick’s Day party at the Shipwreck Café, the locals jump at the chance to attend. The party is going great when it is brought to Jay’s attention that his brother, Robbie, has disappeared. The celebration is shut down a short while later when Phil Cook, the local jeweler, drops dead on the floor in front of the bar. Days pass and there is still no sign of Robbie. Can Jay find his brother while also saving his café from financial disaster? Old enemies reappear and new clues are discovered in the search for Roland’s treasure. Come visit Anchor Point where ghosts roam freely and family is everything.

I had binge read the first two books of this series two years ago and it felt great to catch up with the series. I love the way this series is proceeding and I am looking forward to knowing if Jay will finally find the missing treasure.
Robbie is missing and Phil is dead. Are these two cases related? Jay is torn between searching for clues that might lead him to Robbie's killer and investigating Phil's death. There's also the case of a mysterious man lurking around Jay's house...
The ending was unexpected and surprising. I couldn't identify the perp until the end. As the story ends, there is some progress in Jay's love life.
There are a handful of typos but I didn't let it spoil the read for me. Overall, this was an enjoyable and entertaining read.
This series continues to surprise me every time I read one. I have fallen in love with the town and the residents of Anchor Point, particularly Roland, who is creatively inserted into the town and investigations. The mystery was complex and definitely had me guessing until the very end. The only thing that bothered me was the business with Kathy. I understand it but it still bothers me so much. Another wonderful read by Donna Clancy!
I loved this book so much. I began reading it by crying and ended up with newfound happiness. Jay is getting ready to throw a St. Patrick’s Day party at the Lighthouse when he receives some bad news. Things go down from there. Up until the end when things have a way of looking up! There were typos in the story, but I was able to look over them to enjoy this book.
This series just keeps getting better! And although in previous reviews I have stated that I don't do spooky stories of any kind, Roland had grown on me. Until now I couldn't even refer to him or type his name, but he played such a prominent role in book 3 that I now think of his character as a fallen Angel who is stuck here on earth watching over things and people that he cares about. Works for me!! :-))
Fast paced, well written and intriguing. One more book to go and the story seems to be wrapped up. I am anticipating a happy ending! 🎉🎉👏👏🌟🌟📖
I hope the series continues for a long time. I can’t wait to read more about Jay and Susan, as well as Robbie, Martha and Roland. I enjoyed this book very much and am looking forward to reading about the museum opening. I hope future books tell more about the treasure. Couldn’t put this one down till the end. Totally fooled by the results. Great job as always.
I love the fact that the lead character is a man for a change, not the rough and tough usual gumshoe character but an honest to God nice guy with his own set of flaws. Fast paced story that kept you guessing until the very surprising ending. It was well worth the wait for this book, love this series and especially this book, they just keep getting better and better. Highly recommend, you're going to really love this one.
Donna Walo Clancy has done it again! Book three in this series was well worth the wait and I highly recommend it if you love a good mystery with a male main character, a helpful ghost and twisty plot. I have to admit, the author had me guess right up to the end of the book. I love that there were many subplots going on throughout the book. Ms Clancy did an excellent job tying up all the loose ends and bring the subplots together. Can’t wait for the next book in this fun series!
I just binged books 1-3 and loved them. When you throw a mystery together with a haunted lighthouse, ghosts, treasures, a swoon worthy male protagonist, and dogs, you can’t go wrong.
While being quick reads/listens, this series is full of mysteries, current and past. Fun and suspenseful.
This is an excellent book by Donna Walo Clancy. It was a long time coming but well worth the wait. I love that the main character is a man instead of a woman in this series.
I want a Roland in my life. Someone to watch over me and steer me in the right direction when everything goes wrong. Love this series. Can't wait to see what the gang at The Shopwreck Cafe gets up to next.
A party for st pattys day. What could go wrong? In anchor point a lot. Someone is holding robbie hostage and jay has to figufe it out before its too late. Add a ghost into the mix and its a whole lot of fun.
Uh no. How did everyone, and mean everyone, know there was a replica, a fake when jeweler did not say, the different cons did not know, but yet demands always said and not the fake.
I’m really loving this series. Another great mystery with plenty of twists and more than a few surprises/shocks. The characters are so wonderful and I adore the setting. Roland, the ghost, is great! I can’t wait for the next book.
Jay is beleaguered again and his brother is kidnapped during a disastrous St. Patrick's Day party. Ghostly interference saves lives in this third book in the series. One of the bad guys was a surprise.
This latest book was well worth the wait. I enjoy getting to know the characters and getting a peek into their lives, and I hope there will be lots more to come!
