Hansel

I never knew I needed her until she came into my life—my beautiful stranger. Bowie was everything I wasn’t. Free. Impulsive. Carefree. With a common destination, we embarked on a road trip. Little did I know, my life was about to change forever.

Bowie

I never thought he’d become more than a stranger—my dopamine hugger. Hansel was everything I wanted. Caring. Understanding. Giving. I told him we could remain strangers during the road trip but part with good memories. But the best and worst things lie in the unexpected.

We were never supposed to meet again, but when we did, I wished we had never said hello in the first place.

This summer, Aisling Magie will take you on a journey about love, family, betrayal and finding oneself.

I'm gonna be honest with you here and tell you when I signed up for this book i didn’t even fully read the blurb. I fell in love with the cover and the title, and that was enough for me. And damn, i'm so happy i gave it a chance because it's an amazing story; one I needed even if I didn’t know it.

First thing first i wanna say that this book shows how much Aisling's writing style improved since her last release 👏👏👏

Bowie and Hansen are two strangers that gonna spent two weeks together on a crazy road trip.
Bowie is a free spirit, Hansel on the other hand is serious and he had never done anything just for him.
The first part of the book is funny and "aww" like. The second one is more emotional and angsty. The two parts are perfect together.
The short chapters made it easy-to-read. Bowie and Hansel made it impossible to stop reading it. Their chemestry and their love for each other is evident. 😍😍

There are just few things that "bother" me....
The beginning was a bit confusing for me; and some chapters seems disconnected from the previous ones. Obviously it's just my perception and they did not make the story any less beautiful.

I totally recommend it!!
Because everyone needs a Bowie in his life to shock things a little bit; and everyone wants a Hansel as boyfriend to be really loved 🖤🖤

“As for cheating. At some point in our life, every one of us has been emotionally unfaithful. An emotion, a thought, a wish can be cheating. If a person is in a relationship and their heart skips a beat for someone else, it is cheating. Thinking about kissing someone else is cheating. Being excited about someone having a crush on them is cheating. To have a romantic fantasy about someone, even though it’s a fictional someone, is also cheating. The only difference is we all draw a line where we feel it’s convenient for us.”

This quote above represents exactly my feelings on why I loathe cheating tropes. So apparently does the Author to have written that sentence. So why then write a cheating Hero?

Oh..and let's leave this review with some sage advice ok?

“Okay.” Leo lays a hand on my shoulder. “Man, this conversation remains between us. If your sister gets wind of what I’m telling you, I’ll chop your dick off, okay? If you want to fuck someone who is not Charlotte, that’s fine. Just because you’re about to be committed to someone for life doesn’t mean you’ll not want to bang other chicks. You will. Will you want to bang other chicks after you’re married? The answer is yes. You will. You’re a man, and men will always want to bang. It’s in our genes. We are fucking animals. We are assholes. If heaven exists, no man on earth will set foot in it. Ever. We’re controlled by our dick.

“Now, to actually sleep with these women when we promised our dick only one, that determines what kind of a person we are. But that doesn’t mean you want to marry those women. You, my friend.” He grabs the back of my neck. “You want to marry Charlotte Emmerson.”

***Actual Rating: 5+++/5 Never-is-NOT-an-Option Stars***

This book. Wow. Just WOW!!! In case anyone’s wondering, I’ve reread Somewhere Between Hello and Goodbye SEVERAL times before finally plucking up my courage to sit down in front of the desk and try putting my thoughts into words because no reviews well-written will do this masterpiece justice. Without doubt, this book is hands-down one of the BEST reads—if not THE BEST—I’ve had this year so far.

To begin with, Somewhere Between Hello and Goodbye features Bowie, a happy-go-lucky kind of girl who always wears her heart on her sleeve despite having alopecia, and Hansel, a handsome stranger she meets before embarking on the road trip from New York to San Francisco…together. Granted, life does play a trick on both of them but they’d be lying if they denied that those 16 days of the trip were the highlight of their lives.

What I adore most about this book is the protagonists and their incredible development throughout the story. Bowie is such an unforgettable character with her fierce, feisty, and easy-going personality traits. Her sense of insecurity resurfaces every time someone makes fun of her baldness and just because she cries a lot doesn’t mean she’s weak. She’s the opposite of that. She never bows down to her beautiful flaws; instead, she embraces them gracefully.

Sometimes we just need a Bowie to knock some sense into remind us that it’s okay to have imperfections and that those weaknesses may serve as our greatest strength. There’s no denying that we ought to accept and live with the not-so-glamorous aspects of ourselves in harmony.

Even for a brief second, it made me feel wanted by someone who saw me and not only my alopecia.

For some reason, Hansel seems to look past Bowie’s self-consciousness and her alopecia from the beginning. He never judges her and whenever she feels down, he offers the best dopamine hugs. The chemistry between them is probably the most natural thing in the world and I simply can’t get enough of it.

”I want a memory of you that even if I wanted to forget, I’d never be able to. So, Hansel, I’ll take your best with as much greed as I’ll take your worst.”

Better yet, both Bowie and Hansel have so much respect and empathy for each other that I believe it’s how a healthy relationship should be established…well, until Hansel drops the huge bombshell. To be honest, this book catches me off guard when one second, my heart’s so full to see how happy and carefree Bowie and Hansel are, and the next millisecond, my fragile heart literally breaks into millions of pieces. And before I know it, I’m wailing like a big baby. I kid you not, my heart feels as if someone takes a knife and cruelly stabs right into it before twisting the weapon out, leaving the poor organ bleeding all over the place. What I’m trying to say is that the excruciating pain is real and it’s almost physical.

Destiny has been trying to bring us together for years, and when we finally meet, you want to walk away?

Despite the irreparable heartbreak, the plot twist cannot have happened at a more perfect timing. I definitely don’t see that coming and well, there’s an even more brilliant arrangement following shortly thereafter. At least the author still has mercy and makes the betrayal hurt less.

He nods. “Goodbye, Bowie.” I rush to the door but hear Joe call out, “Bowie,” so I turn to face him. “I’ll be inventing your story as well.” He smiles. “With a happy ending.”

Another reason I love this book tremendously is that it gives off so much positive vibe from the well-thought-out character development to the promising happily-ever-after. This is one of those books that makes you feel uplifted and invincible after savoring the story, which will very likely stay with you for a very, very long time.

Aside from the stellar plot design, characters, and unexpected turning points, I also appreciate the author’s splendid writing style. Aisling Magie is a relatively new author to me but I find myself completely immersed in Bowie and Hansel’s story from the very first page, which has never occurred to me before. Her writing is beyond beautiful and the depictions are so vivid that there’s no problem visualizing the story. I see what the characters see and experience what they experience. Aisling magie-cally creates a world where I’d love to live and never want to get out. Feel for yourself here:

I use the flashlight from my phone to help me join Bowie on the roof. She’s sitting on the edge with her legs hanging down and her neck thrown back, looking at the sky, listening to “Demons” by Imagine Dragons playing at the neighbor’s house.

See what I mean? I can almost feel the soft breeze caressing my cheeks, the stars twinkling up above the night sky, and with a cute guy sitting next to me, I just wanna let my demons unhide. *wink*

(Sorry, I’m obviously carried away…#sorrynotsorry)

”One of the most important reasons we marry is because, one day, we’re going to be old. One day, our parents will die, our siblings will form their own families, and our friends will be people we rarely see. It is late in life, when no one is here any longer, that you’ll mostly need your partner.”

As much as I’d like to see more of Bowie and Hansel’s romance unfold after all the secrets are revealed and hearts shattered, I’m amazed by how impeccable Aisling sets the pace of the overall story. Somewhere Between Hello and Goodbye starts with an enticing road trip and ends on a happy yet slightly bittersweet note.

I, as a reader, not only tag along the characters on their journey but also learn a great lesson of life. None of us human being is perfect and somewhere between our hellos and goodbyes with others, we may find that special someone—ourselves included—who’s going to love who we are, make us feel less alone, and if we’re lucky, complete our trips to this world.

All in all, this book is a MUST READ for everyone. I’d HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND Somewhere Between Hello and Goodbye to all of you and hopefully, you’ll love Bowie and Hansel’s self-discovery road trip as well. This book is my first read from Aisling Magie, and it certainly won’t be the last. Before I go, here’s my playlist inspired by the story:

After having her money and wallet stolen Bowie sneaks into the trunk of Hansel. After discovering his hidden cargo she talks him into driving on a road trip since their destination is the same. After living her life feeling not good enough or beautiful to her mother she decides not to hide behind wigs anymore being proud of who she is and not ashamed of having alopecia. Bowie and Hansel make up fake names and keep everything on friendly turns..except sparks fly..a tattoo is got and a dog is stolen. Full of sweetness, charm and lots of laughs, this fun rom-com is just right for a beach read or even a road trip. I loved the characters and I really enjoyed the plot. The characters were funny and likeable
It's well worth the read. Highly recommended.

There is so much I want to say, but I'm not really one to put spoilers in my review.

Oh Em Gee, Aisling NAILED IT with this book. If you were looking for the book of the summer, look no further... this is it! Feel good, 90s romcom vibes(in the very best way,) and a few gasp out loud twists. The only thing missing was a beach chair by the ocean and a cool drink in my hand.

I cannot stress how much I loved this read. I messaged Aisling multiple times while reading and called my friend YELLING at times. This story took me on a ride from start to finish and I loved every single second of it.

You need to meet Bowie, Hansel, and Wigglybutts this summer. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Aisling captured me from the very first chapter. Every chapter I turned I wanted to read more. Two complete strangers doing a road trip... who wouldn’t want to know where that journey would go. I love the fact that this book is not your typical romance and has various moments that build up the characters for you. I could easily read this book several times it’s that easy to get into and will have you laughing and crying all at once. Can’t wait to read more from Aisling. If you haven’t read it go buy it now.

I'd never even heard of this author before, but this book has a cute cover and the blurb caught my attention. So, I decided to give it a try. Little did I know that I was about to read one of my favorite romances of all time.

Now, a few things to know about this book:

1) This cover is misleading. I thought that I going to read a fun road-trip story, but I was wrong. I mean, yes, it is a fun road-trip story. It has so many cute, adorable, and funny moments that I absolutely loved. But from the beginning, there was this little dark cloud hanging over this story. I couldn't fully enjoy it at times because I kept waiting for the storm to come. And when it came? It caused a tidal wave that I never saw coming!

2) This story will give you anxiety. I had to stop reading to make breakfast for the family, and the entire time that I was cooking, I felt like I wanted to cry. This story moved me in so many ways, and UGH! I'm not sure when I'll get over it.

3) My Kindle battery died at about 75% and I almost had a stroke before I remembered that I could finish reading on my phone. Once you really get into this story, you will not be able to crawl out of these pages until you get to the end. I could not put it down!

So, I'm calling it now: Somewhere Between Hello and Goodbye will be one of my top reads of the year, and it truly is one of the best romances that I've read. It's fun and flirty, but it's also emotional... not in an ugly cry way, but just in the deep "I feel this in my heart and soul" way.

Somewhere between these pages, I fell in love with both Hansel and Bowie. Although I thought that their story was heading one direction, it took some turns that I didn't see coming. Shocking turns that I wasn't prepared for! And just when I thought that this story couldn't get any better, the author throws in a series of texts, and well, I absolutely love letters and texts in books and that just sealed the deal for me.

The only downside for me was the ending, only because I didn't want it to end. I need an extended epilogue, maybe another chapter or two. Is it asking too much for a sequel? Oh well, I guess I'll have to settle for reading this author's backlist for now.

“𝙉𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖𝙣 𝙤𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.”

Somewhere, between “Hello” and “Goodbye”, Bowie and Hansel stole my heart. Somewhere between Hello, and Goodbye, they took my heart and twisted the sensitive organ into painful a palpitating mess before eventually reviving it with hope, love, and amazement.

Hansel rents a vintage car for a drive from New York to San Francisco. It’s a delay tactic so he can step outside his usual responsibilities and briefly live for himself before returning to life’s expectations. Bowie loses her wallet and hops into her neighbour’s trunk when she needs a ride to the airport. She ends up missing her flight, the last before an airline strike, and seeks an alternative to get home to SF. She begs Hansel for his help, but first, there will be rules …

Thus begins the most delightful, entertaining, and hilarious road trip rom-com I have ever, EVER read! Hansel and Bowie are the most adorable grumpy-sunshine couple. Bowie’s antics are hilarious. Hansel’s thoughtfulness is swoon worthy. They even kidnap/adopt a corgi puppy they name Wigglybutts who is quite a scene stealer. And if this was all that the book is about, I would already enjoy it and love it and recommend it.

But that’s not all that this book is about. There is more. So much more. There is Bowie’s living with alopecia. There is family and heartbreak and twists of fate. This book brought out the full range of emotion from laughter to tears, anger to longing. It’s brilliantly written and I really wish I could give it more than the maximum stars because it IS more. Interspersed throughout Hansel and Bowie’s journey (their story, as well as their road trip) are snippets on life, love, and destiny that are Word Porn worthy. I completed it feeling fuller and more satisfied than I have felt with reading in a long time.

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚!

They are two complete strangers, with opposite personalities. They set out on an epic road trip across the country. They have rules. They will remain strangers and at the end of the trip they will never see each other again.
Great in theory but over the next sixteen days they become increasingly drawn to one another.
Expect laughter, adventure, betrayal and complete heartbreak. It’s the slowest burn before Hansel and Bowie find their happily ever after.

‘Maybe fate creates the circumstances, but we’re responsible for our actions’ - Bowie, Aisling Magie.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book.

I don’t know what I was expecting when I started this book but what I can tell you is that I was completely entertained with every page. I did not want it to end.

Bowie is independent, carefree and hilarious. I enjoyed her shenanigans and her view but I adored her for how loyal she was to her sister.

Hansel was a complete surprise. I thought he was going to be grumpy and not fun at all but he absolutely was. He pulled me in with his antics and held me captive with his dedication to not give up on Bowie.

These two are so fun and you can feel the connection between the characters.

I enjoyed this story so much that I didn’t even notice there was little to no spice in it until I was finished and I was hit with a steamy scene.

Not only did I not realise there was hardly any steam but she also made me cry and fall in love which is a big deal to me. If an author can leave the spice out but still make the book enjoyable and different then that is a unicorn.

4.5 stars.

Only because there were a few things I wished to be mentioned, like what happened to wigglybuts. Was the dog in the wedding? There was also a few errors but nothing major.

I can’t thank Aisling enough for reaching out to me to read this beauty.
Ⓣⓗⓐⓝⓚ ⓨⓞⓤ Ⓐⓘⓢⓛⓘⓝⓖ

If you think this is a cute summer read because of the cover, well you’re wrong. Get ready for those tears.

Bowie and Hansel are two strangers, going to San Francisco. He is pretty surprised when he finds her in the boot.
Hansel being Hansel questions everything so it takes him time to agree to take Bowie with him. And I’m so glad he does because where/how the fun begins.

I absolutely loved their banter. Bowie is a strong woman who doesn’t let anyone bring her down, and Hansel … well his dad wanted and expected too much of him in his entire life so the two of them are pretty different.
It takes time, but he finally realises that it’s actually fun to be around Bowie and it changes him as a person.

They start having feelings for each other and Hansel shuts down straight way. He has good reasons for it. Chapter 28 ends with a “jaw dropping “ moment.

I’m going to cut this review “short” as I do not want to spoil anything for anyone. But what I can tell you is that, this is a funny, heartwarming but emotional read.

Destiny has brought them together, but will that be enough to have their happy ending?

This is my first read from Aisling and I loved it! I’m very picky with my rom-coms because I mostly read dark romance but I’m glad I chose this one!

Adventures with a stranger turns into so much more. Bowie is a strong, free-spirited woman while Hansel is in need of an adventure.

Queue a fun, sweet, adventurous trip. Bowie is the type of friend you want in your life and is such a likeable character. She seems to bring out the fun in grumpy Hansel. After the trip comes to an end, I have to say I did not expect some of the things that happened. It was hilarious and emotional and a wonderful read! Glad I picked it up!

Hansel is taking a cross country road trip and wants to make it memorable. Well, starting the trip off with a rambunctious Bowie in the trunk of his car is a great start! Bowie swears she will make it the best trip ever and she wasn’t wrong. The trip starts with a never ending game of truth or dare exposing many heartfelt truths from Bowie and some insane dares from Hansel. Only rule? Don’t get to personal because at the end of the trip you must part ways as strangers.

I truthfully went into the story blind and loved every second of it. Goodness the emotions, plot twist, laughs, and angst got the best of me. I want to be more like Bowie in my life. I also love the alopecia awareness. I highly suggest this story!

I'll be honest, i don't usually go for contemporary romances.
This book though, ill go for this, every single time.

Aisling brings us Hansel and Bowie brought together on a unsuspecting road trip. The fun times roll.

Making a promising to start the trip as strangers and leave the trip as strangers. They go on a trip that is fun, truthful and dareful, lol.

Somewhere between hello and goodbye by @aislingmagie

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice 🌶🌶

Road trip romance novel 🚗🏞🇺🇸

First book I’ve ever read by Aisling ….
I can say it 100% won’t be the last time I read her books ♥️

Aisling writes so beautifully. I read it in one sitting. I just couldn’t put it down!

The story follows Bowie and Hansel on a road trip back home. Events pass along the journey, which brings them both closer together. Funny scenes throughout but also found myself shouting for a HEA for them both!

“Never is not an option 😭”

Plot line shocked me in a good way … I thought the story was going one way and last second it went another !! I loved the surprise of this book - it had me in suspense.

Wigglybutts 🐶🐾need I say more 🥹

If your after the perfect UNPREDICTABLE summer/romance read - I definitely recommend reading Somewhere Between Hello and Goodbye!

Thank you Aisling! You haven’t seen the last of me 😂 I have a very strong feeling il been reviewing your books for a long time to come!! ♥️♥️♥️

This book definitely surprised me but, in a good way! A very interesting road trip romance that is very memorable!

I really enjoyed Bowie and Hansel's first meeting experience. That was funny!

They embark on a 2 week road trip. They both agree no real names, no personal information. Just a fun game of "truth or dare". I love the puppy companion that joined them as well, Wigglybutts!

Its a road trip to remember. A long the way to their destination, Hansel learns to relax and open up. To have fun. Bowie helps him to be more adventurous. She’s such a great heroine! She's bubbly, strong, and has this infectious attitude towards adventure!

As the road trip goes on, they learn more about each other and this amazing connection/attraction begins.

This is my first book by Aisling Magie. I recommend!

Somewhere between Hello and Goodbye is a romantic comedy with a suspenseful twist. A story filled with laughs, tears, swooning moments, gritting your teeth, rolling your eyes, and yelling at the characters. ALL.THE.FEELS.

When Bowie and Hansel have decided to go on a road trip together. Neither of them is looking for a relationship but sometimes it shows up when you least expect it. Things will get complicated once the road trip ends and these two go their separate ways. And then a plot twist I didn't expect to happen but it did. It was a well-thought off-spin to the story. I really enjoyed it and Aisling Magie didn't disappoint. This book is definitely worth the read! Happy reading!

In short: A summer road-trip between strangers with 3 rules: no names, no addresses and part as strangers.

What I enjoyed:
🚗Road trip setting
🚗Forced proximity
🚗The dog Wigglybutts
🚗The banter, angst & chemistry between Hansel & Bowie
🚗Lots of laugh out loud moments

Final thoughts: I loved this book! The road trip was perfect for a summer read and it’s easily one of my favorites I’ve read lately. The characters were great and had wonderful development over the course of the book, each balancing out the other

When Aisling Magie reached out to me to see if I would be interested in reviewing this book, I didn't know quite what I was signing up for.
This book was way more than I expected and quickly became a top favorite read of 2022.
There is emotions in it you won't be expecting but GOOD feels, I mean as well as like sad ones at some points but overall just emotions.
I recommend this listen and I'll be keeping an eye on Ms. Magie.

I absolutely loved this book.
My heart hurt for Bowie.
But what a girl she is, so brave and so strong.
Hansel, he just has needed the right person. My heart ached for them both. What a cruel situation to be in. What a twist though.....I didn't see that coming. At. All.
I loved the characters and their development. And Wigglybutts 😍.
What a great read!

I had a lot of trouble putting stars on this one because I had some real struggles understanding what was going on at the beginning, but I absolutely adored the conclusion.

I really loved the idea of two messy humans going on a roadtrip with no attachments. Their insistence upon no names and their game of truth or dare really gave a fun edge to their journey, and (of course) their inevitable failure to keep things strictly anonymous and detached. This is a romance, after all.

I was confused at first with the mention of cancer and the video he was watching. I thought maybe he had cancer at first and then realized he was talking about the girl in the video. Then, when Bowie was on the side of the road, he mentioned feeling sorry for her because she had cancer, but we didn’t yet know about her alopecia, so I was exceptionally confused. Looking back, I think if I had understood those things better, it would have been easier to get into the opening third of the book.

But once I got past that confusion and into the part with my very favourite trope (there was one bed, people), I was really REALLY glad I stuck it out. I could totally see where most of it was headed because of hilarious and excellent foreshadowing, but I was still so enthralled when I was reading it all unfold, which is a definite sign of a captivating plot.

All told, the beginning of this one was hard to get into, but once it really got rolling, I loved it. Fun plot twists and a satisfying ending definitely left me on a good note.

I received an advanced copy of this title and am leaving this review voluntarily.

✨ ARC Review ✨

Somewhere Between Hello and Goodbye by Aisling Magie

——————————————————

“And it all changed yesterday when he hugged me. There are moments when I look at him, and our gaze holds, and I feel I have waited for someone like him my whole life.”

——————————————————

⭐️: 4/5
🌶: 2/5

——————————————————

This was the first book by Aisling Magie that I’ve read, and it was a good one. Definitely a grumpy/sunshine, angsty romcom.

This story follows a roadtrip involving Hansel, Bowie, and Wigglybutts. All three of these characters were complete strangers prior to the start of this road trip. Hansel and Bowie agreed to a two week, cross country road trip that would end with them parting as strangers. Just like they were at the beginning of the trip. Because how close can two people - who kidnap a puppy - get when they’ve been stuck in a car together for two weeks?

Hansel and Bowie were adorable. Some of their banter had me laughing out loud. Add in Wigglybutts, who obviously favored Hansel? The trio made for an entertaining road trip adventure. And that twist? Ugh, it definitely made it angsty.

If you’re looking for a grumpy/sunshine road trip romance involving two strangers who go by nicknames, add Somewhere Between Hello and Goodbye to your TBR!

Being new to Ms.Magie's work i've been wanting to get into her books! From the moment that this one was announced i knew i had to read it first! I picked it up and got into this story quickly. I enjoyed it so much!

Bowie and Hansel's journey captured my attention right from the get go! As these two are brought into each other's lives in a memorable way that leads them on a road trip. I couldn't wait to see how everything would play out!

Going into this story i wasn't quite sure what all to expect and i really liked how that got me into it even more so! From the moments that brought me joy to the ones that got to me, I really enjoyed the fact that both Bowie and Hansel had me feeling so many things throughout!

With Somewhere Between Hello and Goodbye, Ms.Magie has created such a good and unique read! I can't wait to pick up more of her books in the future!

This is my first book by Aisling Magie and I totally loved it. Can’t wait for the next one. Bowie and Hansel are such great characters and there road trip was so much fun. I didn’t see some of it coming and had to cry a little bit. I like Aislings writing style. Oh and I want a Hansel Hug.

ARC review

I really enjoyed these two and their journey together. It was unpredictable and fun. A perfect rom com read.

Bowie needs to get to San Francisco when she is rushing from work and has her wallet stolen. In desperation to get to the airport on time before the last flight leaves, she stows away in the trunk of a rental car on the way to the airport. When she accidentally falls asleep, missing her chance to get out of the car, she has now missed her flight and is miles away from the airport.

She convinces the man who was driving to help her. After all, they are going to the same place.

Hansel had decided to drive across the country on a whim to experience life. He wants to meet strangers, have memorable experiences and just be present. When he finds a woman stowed away in the trunk of the car he rented, his plans are shot. Together they decide to travel across the country, seeing all the sights.

They have rules, no names, no touching and to stay strangers, they will only share what they want to.

He quickly learns how much of a free spirit Bowie is and just how much he needs her on this trip as their continuous game of Truth or Dare progresses. Tattoos, stolen dogs and near misses accompany them on their adventure.
