Staff Sergeant Adam Brody is ready to put eight years of military life behind him. After witnessing his best friend and fellow soldier Mike Hargrove’s death, he carries a burden of guilt he can’t shake. Returning home to make good on a promise he made to his friend is the only way to keep his sanity and hope that one day he will be forgiven. Mike’s widow Shannon Hargrove is not only facing eviction but the possibility of losing custody of her unborn son. Despite her efforts to make a life for herself and her baby, she faces obstacles that she may not be able to overcome by herself. With no husband, no support from family and a baby due in a few weeks, she doesn’t have the finances or the strength to continue fighting. That is until her husband’s best friend Adam, steps in to help. Adam is duty-bound to make sure his friend’s wife and baby are taken care of, even if it means taking on a new role as a husband and father. Shannon is running out of choices and time, but is a marriage of convenience the answer? And when she begins to have feelings for her new husband, will she be betraying the love for the man she promised to never forget?

An emotional and wonderful story. War is hell, and coming home isn't easy. Adam came home but his best friend Mike, didn't. Adam made Mike a promise to look out for his widow . When he returns home , things are pretty bad off for Shannon , pregnant and facing eviction is bad enough but the thought of losing custody of her unborn child, is a stress she doesn't need. Join Adam and Shannon as they navigate life, family and the world while facing their own personal challenges. 5 stars and I recommend this book to all
First, I loved, loved, loved that this story was from the hero's point of view. Adam Brody is a stand-up guy coming home after having served in the Army. His best friend, though, hadn't made it back home and Adam had been at Mike's funeral months before.
He'd been harboring a secret since high school, though, and no one but him (and the reader!) knows what it is until the very end. Nice writing, Marie Savage!
Although the circumstances might seem a bit Too Smooth to be Believed, Marie writes it so you can believe it, and feel the awkwardness and the hope all in one.
I will say that I was much more fond of Adam than of Shannon in this story, but she was operating under a ton of baggage and I've been that new mom and I KNOW how hard it can be—and that's with a loving, supportive husband right beside me. So, I'll cut her a little slack. You should, too, when you read this story.
The story of Adam and his best friends wife Shannon... and a best friend promise … Ms. Savage has a way of drawing me in with her characters They feel so real to me as if I know them in real life I think it's because I most likely have someone like them in my real life so they relate to me on a personal level. Love this storyline and I feel the pain and sadness they both share. I always love that it all works out in the end! What is meant to be always finds the way! Well done again Marie and I can not wait to read the rest of this series … Thank you for all you do it is highly appreciated!
Excellent start to this new series. Adam is a veteren returning home after serving in the army. He had not been home since his best friends, Mike's, funeral. He runs into Mike's wife, who he is secretly in love with. He sees she is pregnant and due very soon. She is being evicted and Mike's parents are talking about sueing her for custody of the baby. What will Adam do to help? Will he get his chance to tell her how he has felt all these years or will his demons get in the way?
Never forget was a quick, heartfelt novella. I fell in love with Adam from the start. You can feel the heartache pouring off of Shannon. This was a deep, emotional, healing read, that I couldn't put down. As always Marie gives us another amazing read. Can't wait for more from the Honoring Those Who Serve Series.
I fell in love with this little novella. All the love, emotions and feels wrapped up in this little book. A torn heart that is in need of repair and a quick fix relationship that you want to see happen. Loved this little read!! Waiting for more from this world!!
A wonderfully crafted story of heartache and healing. From page one I felt Adam's pain but it bloomed like fresh grass after a fire as the characters came together in this beautiful story.
Never Forget was a quick, easy read that I loved. I read it in one sitting, in just a couple hours... even with the distractions of my family. It was heartfelt, sweet, even heartbreaking at times. Marie Savage did an amazing job with this one!
You will never forget this book. It has brought my attention to sex . It doesn't have to be really descriptive to be a really good book. This book is a very soft romance that you will enjoy. I actually loved it. Romance and the heartbeats faster. I loved reading this book.
