American Dragons #10

Wyoming Dynasty

Rate this book
Something lost has woken up, and now it wants to play.

Steven’s daddy was a gambler, or at least that’s what Steven thought until he discovered his true heritage. After fighting first to survive, then to conquer on every continent and several worlds, Steven has gathered his Escort, acquired a dragon hoard, and built an empire. But there are greater forces at work in the universe than dragons and demons, and it’s Steven’s bad luck that one of those elder things has come looking for him.

Backed by the indomitable Tessa, fiery Aria, the insatiable Quinnestri, and the rest of his wives, Steven has one more hand to play before it’s all over. The stakes are high. Reggie, his daughter, is starting to show her true power. Dragonkin have scattered across the galaxy and, on Earth, they are about to usher in a new age of prosperity, peace, and free love. It all rests on a card game in a place that doesn’t exist, and if Steven isn’t careful, he could take out all of reality with him.

But like Joe Whipp always said, it’s only worth playing if you’ve got skin in the game.

From the Aaron Crash, bestselling author of the LitRPG epic fantasy,  War God's Mantle , comes the FINAL installment in the American Dragons Saga!

Constructive criticism

Now that a read every book of this tale I feel I can comment truely. If you're action junked this book is fine but for those looking for a hero tale the story l lack abit. We got a guy that start a while revolution based on the fact his parents was killed parents that he never knew about. When I read about the hero I want to root for the guy get behind him feel what he feel and when I read about Steven I found myself asking why out loud when he did something. Steven to me wasn't believe he could be white knight one moment the next a wannabe badass. Some of the political undertone in the tale did cause some eye rolling Tessa and the whole free the female Dragon movement even though the female are warrior class and seem badass enough to hold their own. Anyway you can enjoy the tale in full just shutoff your brain abit. To the author I would say don't be rush to make OP character because of you make 10 days and the third book the ND is OK there no tension or suspense for the last seven books.

Needed or not, it was still a good read

This book started slowly and by half way through I was wondering why the author even bothered to write an additional book in the series. The second half started and the story started to take shape and definition. The last part of the book was an emotional experience of love and forgiveness that made me smile with tears in my eyes that really delivered on the proper ending of the tale (unless you want to read the authors Patreon short stories). In reality there are options to start the story up again with a couple of potential enemies still in existence, and with the longevity of the characters, it could happen at any time. A a really good read with a slow start.

Surprisingly Good

After the big threat which was always being menyioned i thought that was us for ages and then we have this one. Yes everyone gets on amazingly well after all that they have went through, but it has been the usual high quality and even after this i can see something simliar to star trek where any threat can come from anywhere due to the vast possibilities and old history that Steven still has to delve into. Great change of pace and direction
