But it isn't her time, at least not in Kal's eyes. Questioning her survival, Charlie learns that the godly ruler brought her back from death. Charlie refuses to believe it, until she witnesses it for herself.
Although Charlie isn't ready to face the truth behind Kal's actions, they continue their dangerous and secretive affair. Their relationship grows deeper, triggering more than just new feelings. All signs are pointing toward change, but Charlie focuses on what happened to Starr, her only surviving crewmember. To her horror, Starr has been taken by the other surviving group of Earthlings, who are on Serrato, and will be auctioned off into slavery. Charlie hastens to put together a team in hopes of rescuing Starr from a prison on one of Serrato's moons.
But can Charlie make it in time before Starr is sold and lost forever? And will she be prepared for what changes will come to Kal, herself, and even the future of Kander?
Come to My Door is a 69,000-word, third-person, sci-fi F/F romance Omegaverse novel. It is the second book in The Alpha God series. It contains g!p material* as well as intimate scenes suitable for mature readers. This book does have a cliffhanger and plot twists that carry throughout the series. G!P content. No rape. No cheating. No shifters. No fempreg. But plenty of plot.
*See the author's blog for more details about g!p, fempreg, and other related terms.
Lexa Luthor is an avid writer and reader of the Omegaverse trope especially including F/F pairing. In her books, each main character(s) is a strong-willed female, who navigates difficult situations but always ends up finding love with their mate. Every tale has a twist and is gripping, sexy, and even a bit adventurous.
When not writing, Lexa enjoys binge watching television shows like Game of Thrones, Gentleman Jack, or The L Word. Her other favorite hobbies are playing cornhole, rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, and laying around the pool in the summer. At times, Lexa finds time to read romances (both dark and fluffy) and great sci-fi books but nothing else can beat a steamy, downright erotic F/F romance with biting, knotting, and slightly possessive love.

4.50 Stars. This was better than the first book. I love when a sequel is better than the original because it gives me hope that the whole series is going to be really good. And considering that this was Luthor’s debut series, well that just makes it even more impressive. While this is a great mix of action, sci-fi, and steamy romance, I do have to put a warning on this series. It contains content that won’t be for everyone and I wouldn’t want someone upset not realizing what they were getting. This series is f/f Omegaverse and contains G!p content. I hate this term but what it actually means is “girl penis”. If you are not familiar with these terms and need more info in deciding if this series is for you, Luthor has a great write-up on her site: https://lexaluthor.com/2020/01/20/so-...
While this was not really the festive book for me to start reading Christmas night, I decided that I’m on a new reading plan for the next week or so. I’m taking a mini break away from ARC’s and I’m going to read some books that were published this year that I either missed or didn’t have time for. This is my little catch-up and I’m only going to be reading books that are super high on my to read list. Luthor was near the top of my list since she really caught my attention with this series. I love that she’s writing something different. While these books are not going to be for everyone, I love seeing more variety in WLW fiction. I want us to have as many choices as mainstream readers do, and having books that are different -and may even be a bit controversial- is all part of having that equality I hope for. And just to make clear, I don’t just like this series because it’s different, I like it because Luthor is a damn good writer.
This book picks up right where the first ended. Luthor loves to drive us nuts with cliffhangers and the cliffy at the end of book 1 was a doozy. It practically kept playing in my mind for the last 6 months yelling and me to read book 2. This book also ended on a cliffy -it’s a theme for this series- but luckily it’s not a hair pulling cliffy. It’s more of the kind that makes you excited to read the next story. I feel lucky as still a moderately new fan to Luthor since there are four books in this series -with book 5 to come out very soon- and two short/novellas, so I still have plenty left to read before I get all caught up.
I haven’t been talking about any specifics since I don’t want to ruin anything for new readers because of the cliffhangers and built in suspense. But I do want to mention some of the broad themes. While these books include some of the steamiest sex scenes I have read this year, this series is much more than that. It is really interesting sci-fi in a well-built world. The sci-fi reads very nicely and not too techie, so even readers who are not big sci-fi fans could still enjoy this. There is a great mix of action, that forces us readers to keep turning the pages, and the characters are easy to root for. This series has the perfect amount of sex and plot, so that the whole story flows really well. I’m a big fan of steamy-romances and this has easily been one of the best of 2020.
This is an easy book to recommend to fans of steamy romances and action/sci-fi books. As long as you feel comfortable reading G!P content, this is a series you won’t want to miss. Because this is a continuing series with cliffhangers you most certainly should start at book 1, Dancing in the Darkness, first. After just two books, I’m completely hooked on this series and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
What the hell, I'm going to do it: this one gets my first five-star review of 2020. I'm not very generous in giving out five-star ratings. But this book gets it for being a new genre for me and surprising me in the best possible way. I devoured this book in a day!
I'll repeat what I said in my review of book one (Dancing in the Darkness): this book is not for everybody as it contains G!P content. But I for one really enjoy that content (considering myself open-minded in many ways).
Book two in The Alpha God series continues with a short flashback from Charlie and then gets right back to the cliff hanger. Let me not spoil the book for you, but as Charlie is also the main character in this book you can do the math ;)
This book focusses on the recovery of Charlie, the retrieval of Starr and the deepening of the relationship between Kal and Charlie. Charlie is so focussed on getting Starr back - who is taken to the planet Serrato - that she misses all the signs from Kal that things are changing between them. Charlie herself just seems to be blocking out feelings she has, running away is much easier after all. Where I would not have called the sex-scenes in book one lovemaking, I will call them that in this book. Their interaction in the bedroom has changed and evolved to a different level. And also their connection outside of the bedroom has developed to connecting when they are not even in the same solar system.
I enjoyed the way Charlie seems to be insusceptible for Alpha behaviour of the high commander and fights it and at the same time can be very submissive about it. Great dynamics and well described. Because the developing feelings in this book I did enjoy the sex-scenes even more than in the first book. Written very explicit and primal, but never rank. Great job there!
In her quest to retrieve Starr from the humans in the business of trafficking different races throughout the galaxy she connects with old and new friends to help her out. The plotline develops and I think I can see what future books will be about and can't wait to read them. Maybe an intergalactic war is coming... And damn me, but I never expected to want to read about it. Luthor has me hooked on the plotline and the characters, all of them, not only the MC's.
Because I never have been interested in sci-fi, I did scratch my head why I wasn't able to put this book away and wanted to keep reading. After some thought, I think it's because this book just happens to be located in outer space, and although it does give the extra experience of space travel and different races, the sci-fi theme doesn't feel overdone and it was never in the forefront of my mind. But the plotline itself, the world she described and the characters make it a great read!
4.5 stars. This series just gets better. The book continues immediately after the cliffhanger of book 1 and since you’re now already familiar with the characters and the world/galaxy the story really starts to build as well as the romance between Kal and Charlie. These books need to be read in order, so if you’ve read book 1 you already know this is an omegaverse book with g!p content (otherwise check Luthor’s blog for explanations).
The book starts with the recovery of Charlie followed by a rescue mission to retrieve Starr, Charlie’s crewmember. As soon as they find out who kidnapped Starr, they start to see that the kidnapping of the omega in book 1 and now of Starr in book 2 is part of a bigger conspiracy. They also realize that rescuing Starr will likely come with some pretty big ramifications. I’m being a bit vague here but I don’t want to give spoilers, but again there is plenty of action and a good storyline.
I also loved the romance between Charlie and Kal in this book. In book one, the beginning of a romance was made, but in this book, it is taken beyond attraction and very steamy sex. As the Alpha-Omega culture generally displays clear dominant/submissive behavior I found the interaction between Kal, who is clearly supremely dominant (although also surprisingly gentle), and Charlie, who is also quite dominant, very interesting. Charlie refuses to easily give into submissive behavior, resulting in an excellent tension between the two (in and outside the bedroom).
In this book some new characters are introduced and there is more worldbuilding. You also get new insights in the god Kalatas and the power of this god, which I found very interesting. Another thing I found interesting is that there is a lot of tech and space travel which gives this sci-fi feeling, but on the other hand, Kalmar is generally low tech and has more of an earth vibe. The book ends again with a cliffhanger, so be prepared to continue with book 3……
Another excellent book!!! This story is so addictive. The plot, the romance, the complexity of it all. I LOVE IT! And omg Charlie triggered Kal’s rut 😅 Book 3 is gonna be very interesting 😏
I love this book. I love Kal and I love Charlie. I’m totally addicted to this series and these characters. I really loved the dynamics between Charlie and her sister Raine. I was great to see them reconnecting.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
First, let me say that anything sci-fi is completely outside my norm or comfort zone. I have never been interested in sci-fi because it was very high-tech and a lot of brain power intellectual moments. I'm not saying that I'm not intelligent but to read a story about anything techy even if it's light years in the future with uber advanced technology just didn't wet my appetite... until now.
I found the first book in this series 'Dancing in the Darkness' by accident while hunting for a new read. I was craving something different from the norm in lesfic and man did I ever get what I wished for. We need more lesfic writers to write exotic-like characters.
The first book ended on a high adrenaline, heart-stopping cliffhanger leaving readers in suspense. Picking up right where we left off, the author had us breathing a little easier in the second story. The relationship between Alpha Kal and space junkie Charlie was fierce, intense, and passionate in the first story. Their relationship seemed to have softened a bit in the second but the passion was still there... psst, I think they may have been falling in love, but that's just me. I won't say much more because, you know, spoilers. I will say that I am very much looking forward to picking up where we left off in the third installment of this amazing, kick-ass, erotic story.
P.S. kudos to Lexa for all the high-tech lingo in this book. I, as an author, can't even begin to think of where or how to get started on anything to do with sci-fi.
The second was as good or better than the first in the series.
The author does a great job of showing character growth and further development of the relationship between the MCs. That can be one of the biggest challenges when writing series with the same romance developing over the course of many books. Keeping it fresh, real, sexy and unpredictable.
I'm continuing to really enjoy this series and looking forward to seeing how Charlie and Kal navigate their growing emotions and relationships.
The side characters are well-done, too, with decent backstory and their own unique personalities which help build the story.
I'm looking forward to reviewing the third book, which I haven't finished reading yet.
I wanted to read book 2 first before I reviewed this one. I am not a sci-fi lover and I skipped the pages in both books about the space fights. Not because they weren’t good, but because I love(!!!) The scenes between Charlie and Kal. I can not describe my feelings about these books...it was so different but so good!! The sexscenes are not for Evrybody (read the description before you start this serie and the explanation of the author on her site) but I love kink so this really worked for me 🔥🔥🔥. I can’t wait to read book 3 when it comes out and find out what happens between Kal and Charlie after the cliffhanger in book 2. More than 5 stars.
Come to My Door is the second instalment in the Alpha God series and it was just as great as the first.
Once again, sci-fi isn't usually my thing, but I find that these books by Lexa Luthor really intriguing. I have to admit I'm fascinated by the creativity it takes to create such worlds, and characters.
Come to my Door builds on the relationship between Charlie and Kal and mixes in some heroics and daring rescues. I'm thankful this is a series coz I am not ready to say goodbye to these guys just yet.
The second book in The Alpha God series does not disappoint. I love how Kal and Charlie have grown and grown closer in this book. The writing is amazing and the world is so well crafted. Love this book
I really enjoyed this installment in the Alpha God series and am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. I love how Kal and Charlie have moved further into being together. The world building in this series is awesome and I find myself imagining it. It’s fast paced and a really great read. I also like how Charlie is finding time to get to know her old friends and trust them to help her save Starr. There is a cliffhanger and you’ll want to read the next book right then. I don’t really have any cons about this story it really is well written. I would definitely recommend this to others
I received an ARC of this book from the author for an honest review and I honestly enjoyed reading it.
I grabbed a copy of the first of this series without looking too deeply into the content. I wanted a space fic, and a space fic I got. The universe Ms Luthor has created is so much fun and part of an on-going mystery I can't help but devour. From the mysterious destruction of earth by the Sworne, to the fragile relations on Kandor, and to an actual living God, I love it all so much. I raced through this second novel and have pre ordered the third. Highly recommend to the adventurous reader who is open minded to the racier elements of the story.
I hate a cliffhanger Reads BUT i dive head first for this series Cliffhangers and All.... I love their not said love story it's so popcorn worthy cuz Im reading and can so vividly picture it in Movie Mode. This amazing Author is so good in descriptively bringing out the clear picture... The only bad thing about it is the wait for the next book which i can't wait!!
Another exemplary omegaverse story from the author. Solid writing, a good plot and deeper subplots running around. The world building in all levels excellent. The MCs have good dialogues and great chemistry. They are a bit softer around the edges than in the first book but stil hot hot hot. Looking forward to finding time to get my hands on the next because the author is also good with cliffhangers...
Fantastic! Full of action, I literally cried with the first scenes about Charlie’s past and the meaning of the leather jacket and what she looks for before the Pacifica goes literally to hell. Great characters’ development, this story has one of the most interesting hot-as-hell relationship where the romance is perfectly build and the pacing is perfect. Keep. Them. Coming. Please.
I'm going to get right into the next of this awesome series, but I have to say that there could've been so many positibilities to explore some of these other characters and their own stories. Like Andren and Starr. They could be a good couple and they weren't even explored. Same with Raine, she deserves some happiness of her own.
I have started reading Lexa Luthor's works for a while now. This series is beyond amazing and addicting it is hard to put it down once you start. Would definitely recommend if your into the Omegaverse type of genre.
yep I'm hooked. Only my second Omegaverse read and I absolutely loved it. The world building is impressive. And the characters truly unique. You must read this.

Lexa Luthor begins Come To My Door (Luthor Publishing, 978734042610, 2020) by sucking us into an emotional whirlwind and locking us in there. Charlie’s history is brought to the fore (damn...spoiler!). Well the synopsis tells you that she survived the crash so I am not really giving that much away (laugh).
Luthor then takes us from intense emotion to fight mode and every emotion from then out. I loved it! Charlie’s complexity and past is explained in this book and how it is affecting Kal. As always some of the best scenes are between Charlie and Kal (wink).
Luthor brings us action, tears, and emotional intimacy...oh yeah and death threats from the present and the past. So look out in the next one because it looks like Kal and Charlie might have a battle coming at them from all sides. I love it!!! See you on Kandar.
I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
