This is a lift the flap book and a pop-up book. That is all my nephew really needs. He likes to play with these by himself and lift the flap over and over.

Very little story, it is the art of the book itself that is amazing. Pop-ups fascinate me. I see them more as art than story. This was fun for Easter.

Enjoy.

Love Bugs Mini Edition (Hardcover)

A Perfect Gift for an Easter Basket!

I've purchased almost every title in this series and have yet to be disappointed by any of them. My 8-year old son requests to read them again and again and again, and now that he's reading on his own - likes to read them to himself.

Now that he's older, he is also very careful not to tear the pop-ups, but I've got to admit that there are a few titles we've bought more than once. He probably got his first pop-up book at the age of two - and although the pop-ups are quite sturdy and made for little hands to enjoy - he did manage to tear a few of them. I think this is inevitable if you want to introduce your child to pop-up books at an early age, and since the pop-up books in this series are reasonably priced - I've been more than happy to replace the ones he was a little "too hands-on" with!

What do we like about the pop-ups? Each one is a work of art - you are never disappointed when you turn the page. The pop-ups are cute, colorful, creative, and most of all - FUN. The accompanying text on each page is also good - funny rhymes, silly sayings, and sometimes even a sing-a-long song.

Of all the pop-up books we own (and we probably have fifty or more - some dating back to the thirties and forties) these are the ones we enjoy the most. We've also bought several to give as gifts to my son's friends.

Our other favorites are those by Robert Sabuda & Matthew Reinhart and there are also some excellent Harry Potter & Star Wars pop-up books if you're a fan of either of those series.

I know these pop-up bug books are very popular, but this was the first one we read in our house. It is a HUGE hit. These fun, mostly made-up bugs (the Easter worm) have Micah giggling every night and me re-reading it 3 or 4 times every night. ;-)

I thought this was seriously cool - and so did EA - but probably better for an older child who can respect the fragile pop ups. Very tough to explain to her not to touch, but then there were a few touch-and-feel pages in there, so a bit confusing.

One of the weirdest children's books I've read in a while. The author couldn't decide whether he wanted it to rhyme or not, so only some of the pages do, the illustrations were not that cute, and what the heck do bugs have to do with Easter?

This fun pop-up book explores different "Easter Bugs" that are hidden behind Easter eggs. The eggs flap down to display the imaginary bugs.

A favorite of Lu's - especially with the well-done pop up basket at the end.

This is such a favorite of my nephews’ right now! Each page has a different colorful egg that open to reveal pop up bugs! My boys have so much fun seeing what’s behind each flap! And then when we get to the end and the Easter basket of bugs they love shouting out their favorites! These pop up books are so fun!

My family has enjoyed this book for many years, and after going through four children, I am amazed it has held up so well! It’s a cute little pop-up/open the flaps book for children—colorful and fun!

I look forward to giving this as a gift. No real story, but interactive and fun for children, especially those who don't usually like to read.
