Books in the Clean Billionaire Fake Marriage Romance
Melody Archer writes clean heart-pounding romance, with scarred heroes and feisty heroines.
She loves to create enchantment by stringing words together, but she's also been known to drink way too much chai tea.
When not escaping to another world via reading or writing a book, she's usually doing her best to coax her hubby and four children to watch yet another classic romance movie.
Melody is blessed to have the support of her family and wonderful friends on this roller coaster writing journey along with the nonstop cluster of characters who live in her imagination♥
Oh God, I didn't like the FMC, AT ALL. Elle never tried, all she did was complain and blame him for things, she irritated me so much. He shows he likes her through his actions and his physical attention, and what does she think? Nothing good. His mother told her the story where the nickname Cowgirl came from, and says that he loved that independent and headstrong horse despite the horse never liking him, how even when he got older, he still visited the horse and paid her attention and how when the horse died, he was sad and grieving for a long time; what she heard was that the horse was stubborn and difficult, how he got friends and ignored the horse (he was teenage boy but wtv) and how he replaced the horse for other horses. Like, how the Hell does she distorced the words in such a big way? He never, not once, gave her motives to doubt him, he wanted her and liked her from the beggining and all he got back was a bunch of nothing. The only time she acted decent was at the end. And don't get me started on her stepmother and stepsister, there was no closure, they got away with everything they did to her and that was that. Elle got angry at Adam more than once for things that didn't make sense but the people that truly deserved her wrath got nothing. She defended them and never got angry at them, it pissed me off, because meanwhile, here's Adam, trying to make her happy and all she does is get mad at him for NOTHING. God, this book had so much potential but it didn't deliver. I hated her, I was screaming in frustation throughout the whole book and I had to stop reading several times just so I didn't throw my kindle at the wall. Adam deserved so much better, Elle didn't deserve him, AT ALL. I just don't give this book a 2 because of him, nothing else
First, let me mention that there are many punctuation and other errors in this story. I’m not sure who the proofreaders were, but they did a lousy job! There were at least four sentences in which words such as pronoun references were omitted. Commas were incorrectly placed within sentences as well. As far as the story itself, it wasn’t bad. It had some really sweet and touching moments in it. The two main characters were realistic in many ways, but the Cinderella rags to riches was a bit over the top at times. Of course, if you are mega wealthy, then London trips and just buying your barely new wife a racehorse is just another day for you. What I found hard to follow with this was that Elle was not born into wealth and just accepted Adam’s extravagant spending on her. With the Cinderella thought came the evil stepmother and stepsister! And this duo went above and beyond. But that’s another story. Will Elle win with Justice at the big race? I hope to find out.
Story started with hero trying to decide on how to find a woman to marry in 30 days, so he can inherit an old farm/racetrack from his great-grandfather. His main problem is not wanting to become emotionally involved & marrying a woman who only wants him for his money. The heroine is a woman from many years ago who blames him for her father's death. She could use the money he offers to save her horse therapy programs she runs on her father's ranch. Overall the story goes back & forth with the hero & heroine trying to keep the pact they agreed to for the marriage. I did think some of it was very repetitive about their feelings & thoughts for each other. A couple errors when Elle was getting ready to go somewhere, first she had her hair in a French twist & 2 sentences later it was hanging loose. When she returned home from tea with mother-in-law, she was still dressed up fancy, while arguing then goes out in a rainstorm & suddenly has pants on to ride a horse. Needs better editing.
Adam thinks that everyone he loves is doomed to die, so he won't allow himself to fall in love. But he needs a wife - soon - or he'll lose the ranch he hoped to inherit from his great-grandfather. Elle's family is about to lose their ranch. Since her father's death, her stepmother has treated her like Cinderella. She's known Adam for years, and blames him for her father's death. They enter in to a fake marriage agreement - he'll get to inherit the ranch, and she'll have the money to save hers. This was such a nice story to read. Adam and Elle are both stubborn, giving and not as used to receiving, but they're so sweet together. His brothers are supportive, but his mother is so wonderful. I'm glad they found their happy ending. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I enjoyed reading this clean, romantic story. Adam has a big heart, so giving and has a very supportive family. Elle seems to be the exact same in most ways except for her family support is completely opposite however she still has so much love waiting to pour into others. Their bargain marriage is a challenging ride for them both as they battle their stubbornness and overwhelming emotions. I didn't agree with all of Elle's actions toward Adam, but I do relate to the type of giving person she portrays, she gives without expectation and its a struggle for her to receive because she's only used to giving. They are at times frustrating but the story is touching with some realistic elements. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Adam is a tech billionaire in his own rights, but to receive his great-grandfather's homestead, which he really loves, he needs to marry within one month. The only woman he wants to be married to - even if it were fake - is is former neighbor Elle, who blames him for her father's death. Elle has her own trouble, and agrees to marry him in name only, but old feelings rise and she realises that Adam may not be the reason for her father's death. It takes both a long time during their marriage to find the courage to admit to their feelings towards each other, as both have abandonment issues. A lovely story, Hallmark worthy. This was a Cinderella remake with the wicked selfish stepmother and stepsister who kept using Elle and putting her down. She loved horses both the kind for racing and also for her therapy program. Elle married Adam to save her family's ranch and so he could gain his inheritance from his grandfather. Like Elle I would have trouble dressing and acting like the wife of a wealthy businessman and I would have had doubts about my ability to fit in that world too. I didn't like Adam's opinion about dogs how they should stay outside regardless of the weather, but then for me they have always been pets and not for working. Both characters could be overly emotional at times in this book. This was a clean marriage of convenience romance.
Cute, fast, clean read. What could possibly go wrong marrying someone as a business deal? Especially when you are very attracted to that person? I WISH people actually talked like this but I found it a bit distracting thinking NO ONE actually talks this formally to each other! Especially when they are “fighting”! It was kind of funny. Also a lot of the story seemed very familiar.... very much a Cinderella vibe. That said- I really liked this book! I like that they are doing such good things with their money- like fighting human trafficking! I am very passionate about this myself and donate monthly to a few organizations. ALSO- I have started the 2nd book already and am REALLY liking it... but I do feel like you need to have read the first book!
The modern day Cinderella story, told without all the gratuitous sex. Besides the numerous spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors, there was an inconsistent or barely existing time line. Yes, your rich, but no one can fly from London to Seattle and not suffer from jet lag. They even attended a formal charity dinner the same night. Then the female lead goes out to formal tea with the mother in law, wearing a blue dress, goes home and gets into an argument with hubby, and races out into the rain to go to the barn. By the time she gets to the barn her jacket and pants are soaked, but she never changed clothes. At another point it states that she put her hair up in a french twist, and in almost the next sentence, she was wearing it down around her waist.
Now that I have found this new (to me) genre of “Cozy” fiction that leaves out the gratuitous sex, foul language and violence, I am hooked. This book was recommended by one of my new favorite authors, and what good taste she has. Despite being familiar with the premise of marriages of convenience, this book had so much more.
Thoughtful development of personable characters who resonated with me. Well written although could use a little more editing. Not as predictable as expected because these are complex characters. Highly recommend.
I enjoyed the overall story, but the proofreaders and editors did not do any favors for this author. If the author eliminated the many redundancies, the word count would likely be 20% lower. Additionally, there were a significant number of instances where the author re-wrote sentences and left behind words that she should have removed. Typos, grammatical errors, and poor word choices were so common that it was difficult to maintain my interest in the story itself. It leaves me to wonder if the author took the time to read the finished product before publication.
The characters' reasons for not getting together were somewhat believable, so I'll let it keep 3 stars. But nothing was outstanding, and there were a lot of annoying editing goofs. I'm not talking about simple typos, which I understand and don't usually comment on, but commas in the wrong place (not "you shouldn't use a comma here," but "um, it belongs two words over instead of in the middle of the phrase") and sentences where the author obviously rewrote it to sound better but didn't get all of the old words deleted.
Adam has to get married before he is twenty-seven to get the inheritance from his grandfather. And he only has a month left. Where can he find a woman he could trust? Elle needs money asap to save her dad’s ranch from foreclosure. Where can she get a lot of money asap? The story is very good. Both characters are likeable, honest and caring, but the insecurities they have prevent them from being honest about their feelings for each other. This is a modern day tale of Cinderella and arrange marriages. Elle lost her mom when she was little and her dad remarried to a very cruel woman. Her stepmom got worse when Elle's Dad passed away. Adam is going to get his grandfathers ranch, but he must marry and it has to be for one year. This is hard for him as he won't let anyone in. This is their story about how things start out as an arrangement and move onto so much more.
The Billionaire's Marriage Bargain is the first book in the Clean Billionaire Fake Marriage Romance Series and is a great start to this new series.
The characters are well developed and likable and the storyline is well written and flows nicely. Can Adam and Elle get beyond the past and turn their marriage of convenience into a marriage of love?
Well, I’ve read this series completely out of order: 4, 2, 3, then this first one. It worked, but I have to say that I highly recommend reading them in order as the characters continue to feature in the future books. These books have amazing characters and storylines. This was a marriage of convenience with hints of Cinderella and second chances from childhood. I really enjoyed it.

Adam has only thirty days to get married or else he loses his great grandfather 's ranch. Elle is an unappreciated modern day Cinderella since her mother died when Elle was five. Her dad remarried a woman who turned bitter after he died and treats Elle horribly.
Jack offers a fake one year marriage to Elle. She accepts and before long they both actually begin truly falling in love.
Melody Archers characters have some resemblance to Cinderella's story. The difference is that Adam and Elle have known each other for many years. A miss understanding about Elles fathers death separated them for many years. Meeting after Adams Great Grandfathers death they meet again and Adam peoples a brain that will benefit them both. The characters are rich and easily relatable to. Story has laughter, love, heartache and freedom from their pasts.
I loved Elle and Adam! They seemed so perfect for each other because of their love of horses, plus the fact that they were friends first made it even better. When Adam suggested marriage to help both of them, Elle was hesitant but knew she needed his help. She would lose her father's ranch without the money for the mortgage and Adam needed to marry in thirty days to inherit his great grandfather's ranch. It seemed to be a win-win for both, until feelings got involved.
Billionaire Adam is a software security and app designer who must marry within 30 days in order to inherit the ranch his great grandfather left him. He wants this property to rebuild a horse racing track. Elle is trying to raise funds to keep her father's property where she's started an equine therapy for children. Adam chose Elle for his bride for one year with a payout of one million if she stayed one year.
Together. Adam and Elle share an abiding love for horses and what they can do, not only as transportation and sport but also as business connection builders and especially as therapy for those injured in body or soul. Romance is only part of the story. Recommended for all readers of clean fake marriage stories.
I like fairy tale type romances. I didn't see anything that said that, however, it had a remake of beauty and the beast. I love that. I had some issued, not bad cause I listened to this book on kindle. However, there were some errors, such as repeats and things grammatically that didn't work. I still enjoyed the story.
I like that he rescued her Dad's place from the harpy! Sort of like the Cinderella story in parts. Nice that they both invest in assisting traumatized people to heal. Horses are a great way to facilitate the healing process. All of that was good. Just didn't engage with the main characters much. A good story though.
Two broken people move through life to the beginning of healing. She broke after her father's death & lost her value. She wanted to keep her father's ranch and her horse therapy program. Finding Bree added extra heart & purpose to the story. A well-written, clean story.
Elle lost her mom when she was just a girl to cancer and she and her dad were ok, then he married the step mom from.... Adam was the great grandson of the neighbors and they became friends, but it fell apart when dad died. Now he is back & has 30 days to find a wife. Can they do it.
This is a good book, with characters that you can fall in love with. The fun and games that the couple get up to while trying to resist each other. My only problem is that the ending felt very rushed and like they hadn't actually sorted out their problems that it was just over and everything was great.
The premise of this story is really cute, but it needed a bit more editing and polishing. I kept getting pulled from the story by random commas nowhere near where they needed to be, details changing within a few paragraphs (hair up and then down), and mispelled/misused words. Some of the characters also came across as majorly stereotypical and cardboard.
Billionaire. Cinderella story. Sex trafficking. Dad’s dream of the horse therapy program for disadvantaged children. Evil stepmother. Fake marriage. On the silly side. So many subplots it falls short of the real story. It's about money can buy you anything kind of 'romance'.
Adam Stevenson and his brother's have created a software company. He needs a wife in 30 days since his Great Grandfather's Will has this condition in it. He goes to Paradise Lake to to think. He sees Elle Jennings who he hasn't seen since her Dad's funeral. Elle was 12 and a crush on Adam. After her Dad died she blamed Adam for not saving him. Elle is behind on her mortgage payments and Bank will foreclosure in a few weeks. Can Adam and Elle be able to help each other? Well written story with strong and believable characters. Can't wait to read more of this series.
