Shock widened his eyes, starbursts of anger for what I'd done.
That moment should have been the last of us; our beginning and end.

5 Dark Melodic Stars ⭐️

Amelia royally screwed up. With her situation being dire she targeted the wrong person. And with a hand wrapped around her throat she truly regretted her actions.

Lennon Carter is an accomplished musician and completely arrogant. When returning back to his hometown he didn’t expect to be pick pocketed. After chasing his would-be attacker, he is furious to learn that the punk he has in hand is in fact a young girl.

When fate throws them both a curveball, Amelia soon learns that the one person judging her piano auditions is Lennon. He had every intention of despising Amelia and ridding her from his classes regardless of her beauty to difficult to resist. However one sound of her music, and Lennon was ensnared. There was no letting go...

“Music, to me, wasn’t just a series of notes, it was poetry without words, a story without pages, life beyond the confines of a stark reality.”

Sin & Discipline is a dark tale of two lonely souls that recognised and spoke to one another. Their chemistry could not be denied but it came at a disciplinary price. The push and pull sucked me in and their struggles spoke to me on a deep level. Be warned this book is gritty. I was gutted and then slowly elated. It also introduced me to a new world of writing that is Lily White.

description I honestly don't think Lily White can write a book I don't love. She truly is one of the most versatile and unique authors in the industry. From dark to sweet, to sexy and depraved. She has something for every reader's tastes. So it is no surprise that this was yet another hit with me.

description
This book ticked all my boxes for a great taboo(ish) romance. It was well written. It was well paced. The plot was engaging. However, there were a few things I wish had been fleshed out a bit more. It was lightly taboo (teacher/student). It was sweet. It was heartbreaking. It was smokin' hot (light BDSM). It was slightly angsty. There was no OM drama. There was a smidge of OW drama. There was a tiny cast of secondary characters, but each of them gave added depth to the story. Lennon (28) was a sexy as f-ck alphahole who loved dominance. He didn't appear to be a manwhore (limited mentions of his past sex life). I truly loved Lennon's character but there were times I wanted to throat punch him. (lol) Amelia (18) was a great heroine. She was a virgin (her age made that fact bearably at least). (lol) She was feisty. She was sweet. She was a brat. I found her to be a genuinely likable heroine. Last, it was all wrapped up in a good HAPPY FOR NOW. As I reader I always prefer if a book has an epilogue that shows the main couple some years in the future. Although I was satisfied with the ending we got, I would have loved to have seen them

So yea, another great read by one of my favorite authors. I loved it. I recommend it, and everyone should buy it as soon as it becomes available!

Lily White is a completely new author for me and got to say I am seriously impressed folks.
She seriously smashed it out the park with "Sin & Discipline and I absolutely adored this Taboo Teacher/student romance, like tongue hanging out panting and all that Jazz.
This book just worked for me on every single level and I devoured every page avidly.
But first, though let me address the Taboo aspect of this story just in case this is a cause of concern for you.
So this is not in any way icky, the Taboo relationship here between teacher and student is not in any way a high school one.
Amelia is an adult (18) and Lennon (28) is a famous successful musician who for the summer is acting as a mentor in his hometown to a bunch of talented musicians and whittling them down to one along with another teacher to compete for a coveted scholarship at a prestigious music school.
So yeh both consenting adults and all that.
So the heat here was seriously turned up sizzling in fact.
Loved the overall dynamic portrayed here so much it just pulled at my heartstrings and felt very believable and authentic.
That balance with Lennon and Amelia was very much one of dominance and submission but not really in a bdsm sense more in a sense of control and deep need, there was no calling anyone sir or scenes it's just Lennon and Amelia and there own unique connection.
This control is basically Lennon's Jam but he also wants Amelia to retain her fire, sass and attitude to life.
The intense connection between Amelia and Lennon jumped off the page, the ebb and flow of the bond these two musical individuals had made there shared encounters so majestically lyrical.
The things this yummy man can do with a pair of suspenders and a piano, Oh be still my beating heart!!

giphy

So, Lennon, I really adored his quirky intense and eccentric vibe, his thrown together dress style with penguins motifs and those aforementioned skull suspenders all wrapped up in a gorgeous dominant package, need I say more.
Then we have Amelia with her spine of pure steel and sparky resilience, I really liked both of them very much.
There were also other things at play here running in the background.
A back story concerning Lennon's own personal heartbreak and the effects this still has on him in the present day.
This really did have a depth to it that I wasn't initially expecting but certainly did appreciate.
This was sexy and sultry a real stand out page turner and I am ever so excited to have discovered myself a new author to devour.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Sin & Discipline.

For years Lennon Carter avoided the town he grew up in. Now that he’s back, ghosts from the past were the least of his problem. As an accomplished pianist, his goal was to mold the next generation virtuoso. But Amelia Dillon’s talent was not the only thing that hit his right key.

He was a dark melody that was in perfect harmony with mine. Each note intended to sing together. Each chord a matched beat in our pulse.

Lennon definitely stood out right from the beginning with his quirky fashion sense alone. Personality wise, I love the intensity he carried and how he protected and cared for those important to him.

In music, we were the same. In life, we couldn’t be further apart. In this class, we were forbidden from touching each other in the ways I was desperate to touch her now.

I admired Amelia’s tenacity. She worked hard to get to where she wanted to be. While she might be young, innocent and made unwise decisions, she could stand on her own against Lennon.

I enjoyed the story overall and I liked the chemistry between both characters. They came from a different background but shared the same passion for the craft. The story was quite straight forward but I’m glad there’s a part of the revelation that was unexpected. Also, I absolutely loved how they first met.

Sin and Discipline is a story of two broken souls bound by their personal tragedies. It would appeal to readers who enjoy a forbidden romance with a pinch of kink.

This book is addictive and interesting. When I started reading this book I was immediately absorbed in it. The way Amelia and Lennon met was interesting. I liked Lennon, he is protective, caring and a complete alpha male.

Amelia was struggling, she is ambitious but naive and poor. Both Lennon and Amelia struggled, Lennon found his way out and Amelia still needs time. She is young, trapped in poverty. I loved how Lennon took care of her. Amelia needed him and he was there for her in every way. The twist at the end was shocking but that made his story even more captivating. Overall, it's a good book.

Wow! I never imagined I could adore a hero as controlling as Lennon but holy heck, he was freaking amazing!

Carrying a wealth of guilt and grief, Lennon returns to his hometown to mentor and help select Hastings’ next scholarship student. When, after having only been there for a few hours, he is mugged, he is once again reminded of what life in this town was like growing up. But when he captures the thief he is surprised as well as outraged at what he finds.

description

Amelia and her family are barely surviving day to day. With too much pain, anger and frustration at home, her and her brother do what they can to make it to the next day. One bad decision and she finds herself with an injury that could take away her only chance of making something of her life. If that weren’t bad enough, she enters the classroom that holds all her hopes and dreams, only to find gorgeous blue eyes and a sexy smirk.

Lennon surprised me in so many ways. In the beginning I didn’t think I was going to like him, at all. He’s controlling and antagonistic, and kind of mean. He doesn’t sugar coat anything. What you see is what you get...sort of. Because below the surface is a man who harbors dirty, dark secrets about what he wants from a woman.

”The face I show the world is of a talented musician who dominates the keys. But the face hidden behind shadows is a man who likes to destroy pretty little things. Who likes to grasp a heart of innocence, break it down, strip it bare and demand it spreads its legs.”

description

Initially, he fights the desire to pull Amelia into his web but the more they interact the stronger the urge grows. Yet, even as he’s controlling her in subtle and not so subtle ways, at the heart of it and without his full understanding, he wants to insure her safety. And that is when I fell hard for him. He was so protective, possessive and jealous that he was checking my boxes all along the way.

”The only conversations I had with her were antagonistic and short. What I did know is that I wanted to rip the eyes out of every man who looked at her like a piece of meat, while also joining those same men in appreciating her curves in a dress that was no more than a tiny scrap of cloth.”

“I own you from this moment on. Every day. Every second.” My grip tightened on her jaw. “Every f@cking thought. Every action is mine. Can you live with that?”

Amelia was fearful of Lennon when she realizes he’s her teacher. He has the power to destroy everything she’s worked so hard for. So when he gives her instructions, that have nothing to do with playing the piano, she obeys. When another bad decision lands her literally in his lap, he gains the control, not out of fear, but out of desire.

”Will you?”
Two words. Simple. Yet loaded with a million possibilities.
“Will I what?”
“Ruin me?”
Exhaling slowly, I closed my eyes, my hands fisting tighter. Would I? Despite it all, I thought I might.”

description

I loved that despite the fact she followed Lennon’s orders, she wasn’t spineless. He recognized there was a fire beneath the surface and never wanted to squash it. Watching her grow from uncertainty into confidence was beautiful and the fact that that confidence wasn’t wrapped in Lennon was even more so.

This couple absolutely sizzled, even long before they got together. The sexual chemistry between them could be felt in every scene. The sex is rough and dirty laced with some bondage in creative ways that has me side-eyeing this author. Even if that isn’t your thing, there’s no denying the temperature is going to escalate while reading this.

description

It’s impossible for me to express how beautifully written this story is. There are so many spectacular comparisons of these characters and music that I was left breathless several times as I just let the words soak in.

He was my heart.
He owned my soul.
He was a dark melody that was in perfect harmony with mine. Each note intended to sing together. Each chord a matched beat in our pulse.
Lennon was the music that whispered within the chaos of my thoughts, a melody that shone as the brightest of lights, directing me and welcoming me home.

And when Amelia or Lennon played, holy heck! I could feel the music flowing through me although I was doing nothing more than reading the words on the page.

There is a great twist in this story that was quite shocking. You may or may not pick up on it before its revealed, but you won’t know it all. Even though I liked where this couple were, I would’ve liked an epilogue that carried out further into their future. Overall, I absolutely loved this story with the richness of this author’s writing style and the evolution of both the hero’s and heroine’s characters, there is just so much more here than what’s on the surface.

TW for abuse and sexual assault

If you're a fan of Dark Notes by Pam Godwin, you're going to lvoe this one. This is a piano teacher/student romance it was so good. I really loved how they met and how their relationship developed. I do think the ending was a bit rushed and I wanted to see more things play out instead of just being given a summary, but the angst and tension between the characters was so good! These characters had a lot going on individually, which I appreciate; there was more to the plot than just the romance and that was affecting their ability to be together. I loved how certain things were slowly revealed and how they really had to fight to be together. This is definitely a forbidden romance I ended really enjoying!

Sin & Discipline is my first book I’ve read from Lily White and it won’t be my last. It was a fabulous erotic romance with the forbidden teacher/student as its topic and it was executed brilliantly. Lennon is a gifted musician. He especially knows how to work the piano. In the bedroom department he’s a dominant who likes it his way. Amelia is eighteen and has a gift as well. She excels playing the piano like no one else. They immediately share a mutual attraction and connection thanks to their love of music and their troubled pasts.

As rough as Lennon seems to appear thanks to his sexual needs he’s a man who has a passion for music and for satisfying his needs. Amelia meets those needs. She needs an escape from her life and Lennon is the perfect kind. She can breathe and let go of her troubles around him as can he cause he’s fighting his own.
Amelia starts off as a very inexperienced eighteen year old but Lennon slowly strips those layers off of her and shows/teaches her what pleasure can feel like. No matter how rough it gets there’s pleasure. Their chemistry is sizzling. They both learn and discover a lot about themselves while being in this sexual relationship and while Lennon is her teacher at school.

Under each chapter there’s a few sentences and they have relevance to the story. I was very intrigued how it all fitted together. It was a terrific thing to add and the revelation was surprise and heartbreak. Well done on that twist. The epilogue was spot on leaving me content and very excited to read more from this new to me author thanks to this cracking story.

Amelia Dillon’s life appeared idyllic until her mother passed away and her father fell ill. Relying on limited resources, Amelia continues to seek a career as a symphony pianist, but she must first win a scholarship to a prestigious music academy before pursuing her dream. All seems possible until she meets her instructor.

“I wasn’t a girl to be pushed around or controlled. Yet, in his presence, I stilled in place, unable to find the willpower to fight or move away.”

Lennon Carter is a musical virtuoso, famous for his classical mastery in performance and composition. Growing up, Lennon’s family nurtured his sister’s musical career until his family crumbled after a tragedy. Consequently, Lennon persevered using his own methods yet the scar he bears is still painful.

“Sometimes you don’t need to know the cause of what decimates another person to understand, to taste, to experience and recognize that the same destruction exists within yourself.”

With an unlikely introduction to each other, Amelia and Lennon share an immediate push/pull tension that adds to the intensity of their attraction. Though Amelia is young, she is fearless at times until Lennon asserts certain ground rules of her lessons. Adapting to Lennon’s need for discipline, Amelia is a quick study and tests his limits of restraint.

“I felt owned in that moment. Used. But damn if I didn’t enjoy the feeling, the lust, the filthy violence that leaked out of him with every demanding thrust.”

As the plot develops, the ties between Lennon and Amelia deepen and the past resurfaces in an unexpected way. Although, the direction was predictable to a degree, the predicament of these characters is effectively conveyed. I especially liked the message of feeling emotions through music and how Lennon and Amelia shared such a passion.

Sin & Discipline is a steamy taboo romance that may encourage some to stay after class for some tutoring with teacher. This book will appeal to those looking for a dirty hero and a compliant heroine.

A standalone Student/Teacher Forbidden Romance!
🔥🔥🔥🔥

Lily White delivers forbidden in her own twisted way. I gobbled this up. I definitely wasn't expecting such an emotional reaction to the story, it wouldn't be a Lily White book without the sudden punch to the gut. Lennon and Amelia's story evokes a myriad of emotions. A thunderstorm of dirty and forbidden, a beautiful rainbow to watch with wonder! Hot and cold. The invisible line between the two will have your stomach in knots. The selflessness will have you weak in the knees.

"How was it even possible that two people who’d never known each other could have family secrets and painful shames that were so inextricably linked.

Lily White writes with purpose, even in it's dirtiest form, the words were strung together in a breath-taking manner. Erotic escapism, vividly written with all your fantasies in mind. The hand was definitely in the cookie jar and I loved every taboo bit. Lennon could teach me anything he wants, I'm an eager student. 🤷‍♀️
This story will have to breathless, a pink tinge on your cheeks, and an intense feeling in your chest! You will not want to put this down.

If taboo is your jam, this one is lathered with forbidden. I highly recommend!

“If this happens, nobody can know. It will ruin you. I will ruin you. Do you know that?”

This was the lightest Lily I’ve ever read, and I really liked it. I love forbidden romances, and I also love Lily White, so I was super excited to read this one. She can weave a plot like no other, and the payoff is amazing. I always become invested in the relationship between the MCs in every one of her books, and that’s because the way she writes is so effortless that you can’t help but feel the connection. She doesn’t have to convince you of it; she shows you how they’re perfect for each other, even when they’re trying to fight it. Her characters are complex but confident, fractured but not broken. Sin & Discipline is no different; despite the roadblocks in their way, Amelia and Lennon couldn’t help falling in love with each other. It felt like it wasn’t even a choice.

On the surface, Lennon Carter seemed like your ordinary successful and driven man, but there was something else lingering just beneath his skin, something that drew me in and terrified me at the same time.

The way Lennon and Amelia meet is interesting, and also a little cliché. I didn’t mind it, but the whole thing didn’t really stand out as anything special. That started to change when Lennon peeled back Amelia’s layers. He himself is a great character: a prodigious, eccentric, accomplished pianist, a true rags-to-riches story. I’m nothing close to a musician, or really creative at all, but I understood how he believes music should be felt more than heard. It made sense how he latched onto Amelia, too; she has a story to tell, and it’s through music that she’s able to let it all out. They’ve both led hard lives, but Amelia is still trapped inside of it while Lennon has found his way out. From the beginning, I loved how possessive and protective he is of her. Without that side of him, the power imbalance might’ve bothered me, because there is no doubt she needed him more than he needed her. But he truly helps her- with more than just her music- and that kept their involvement from being cheap and reckless.

In music, we were the same. In life, we couldn’t be further apart. In this class, we were forbidden from touching each other in the ways I was desperate to touch her now.

The sex in this story is as hot as you’d expect from the author, but it definitely was not over-the-top kinky. A few ropes here and there, a spanking or two, but nothing hardcore. The plot drives the story, the emotions of two people trying to leave the past behind and make a future together. Amelia is young- eighteen- but while it shows at times, she’s also strong enough to handle Lennon and his moods and intensity. She’s been through a lot, so I didn’t side-eye her maturity. It worked. We all know it’s the experience in your years that forms us, not the number of years themselves. At times this story broke my heart, but by the end it had sewn it back together. The road that brought them together was dark and winding, but worth it. I truly believed in these two, even when they did something I disagreed with. I recommend this one to anyone that likes a forbidden love story strong enough to beat all the odds and overcome every obstacle, even ones beyond their control.

Amelia knew destruction, her soul screaming, and I was the whisper that welcomed her home.

YES PLEASE! I shouted when Lily asked me if i was interested in an ARC of Sin & Discipline. I feel só lucky, really i do. Because,i mean Lily White. Do i really need to say more? Every story she’s written is só unique,só deliciously dark.....she has me hooked from page one,and lost to the world until the very last page.

This story isn’t just about Amelia and Lennon. It isn’t just about her talent on the piano. It isn’t just about how he teaches her,and other students,to feel the music they play. Their first meeting is violent, when she tries to steal from him. Their second at the school where he’s the guest teacher. Working with a group of young musicians, selecting the one worthy of a scholarship at Hastings. He wants her, body and soul. She needs what he gives her,and what he takes. But there is a dark past that connects them.

And that is why you need to read this beauty. Because Lily makes you cry,she makes you hurt, she breaks your heart and pieces it back together. And she makes you love it.

Its a Scintillating story, forbidden and scrumptious. Dangling like a forbidden Apple in front of Adam & Eve of Sheldon, Lily takes a Tabboo genre and adds a dark flavour of kink to it. The end result is both sizzling and spicy in flavour. What happens when two Doppleganger souls meet amongst the ruined town of Sheldon, who belong together like black & white piano keys, working in sync to produce passionate, melodious music only they can hear.

description

"He was my heart. He owned my soul.
He was a dark melody that was in perfect harmony with mine. Each note intended to sing together. Each chord a matched beat in our pulse.
Lennon was the music that whispered within the chaos of my thoughts, a melody that shone as the brightest of lights, directing me and welcoming me home."

They have to keep their symphony clandestine, hidden behind prestgious relationship of a teacher-student. In public they have to keep their eyes averted, amorous feelings in check but when they meet in private their violent lovemaking gets unbridled and savage.

Amelia Dillon is a protégè, a single minded, focused student of Music. In lands Lennon Carter, who's a prodigal son returning reluctantly  to the town seeped in painful memories for him
Both meet like fire & oil, exploding fires and engulfing flames.
“You’ll let me do anything I want, won’t you? Even if it hurts you. Even if you’re scared. I’m not sure what that says about you, Amelia.”
"I would give him anything he wanted. I would take his pain. I would become the comfort he needed to move past the monsters inside him."

It's a supernova of passions spinning fast and sucking readers interest. This is mildest I've ever read Lily and I must say it suits her.
Very engrossing, holy hotness of a story
Don't go by her dark reputation, pick this up for a sexy and sultry journey.
Lily even on her unicorn ride, throwing glitter, is still a force to reckon with. The surprising twist towards the end confirms the age old adage-Leopard can't change it's spots.

Lily has such a way with words!!!

This story is erotic, heartbreaking, Prince Charming, fierce female, poetic, with a some great one liners all wrapped into one. Oh lets not forget the part that you didn't see coming. Every single time, Lily!!!!

This isn't your typical teacher/student romance, but of course its Lily. Lily doesnt do typical, thank God for that.

Lennon oh I love him. Although I loved him from the cover. He is everything you'd want in a teacher. Supportive, nurturing, sexy, and amazing in the sack or shower or the top of a piano, oh wait don't forget the alley!!!! Lennon is a must.

Amelia is strong, a great student, willing to take directive, and loves to practice practice practice. She's an excellent pupil. Always trying to please her teacher.

The story is faced passed will keep your attention and its really an enjoyable read!!!

I mean I know its erotic I know it's written with entertainment in mind, however, Lily made me feel again in this one. Certains areas hit me close to home. So kudos to Lily for an erotic story with an emotional twist.

Genre:  Contemporary Romance
Type:  Standalone
POV:  First Person - Dual

❝ She was trouble in every possible way, the defiance in her bleeding away in the moment she was cornered by a predator.

sin & discipline by lily white

Lennon Carter was a famous piano player with no time for relationship.  His heart was elsewhere in the matters of love.  He was still healing after so many years from his sister's death.  Living with so much anger and sadness he spent most of his time writing deep melodies.

❝ Music has never been kind to me, yet it hasn't been cruel.  It simply stays with me as a whispering passenger, keeping me company in the moments I needed it most.

Amelia Harmony Dillon didn't have it easy; she hustle hard to get where she was at and she was bound to do anything to land a scholarship to the best music school there was to reach her goals.  She was talented and beautiful and immediately caught Lennon's attention.   She was smart but yet naive and I kind of liked her.  There was some better choices she could have made but she was young still.

❝ Her body was built for sin despite the way she played the piano like a damn angel.

When Lennon meets Amelia; he finds her intriguing and couldn't stop thinking about her and I absolutely love the way they met.  This story gave me so many butterflies feels and I couldn't get enough.  I felt I've read similar student teacher stories before but that didn't stopped me from enjoying it.  Lennon was definitely a bit different; his personality didn't match his outfits and his style but I liked how he handle himself.

❝ My body reacted to the way she'd trembled, every part of me coming alive with the need for discipline.

Overall; I liked this story a lot.  Sin and Discipline is a beautiful story about two broken people trying to heal each other and learning from their tragedies.  The story was super steamy and sexy with a combination of feels.  Readers who enjoy forbidden romance will find this book appealing.

I am a huge Lily White fan and could not jump on Sin & Discipline fast enough. I love her dark stories but when I heard she was writing a taboo/age difference/submission story I dropped everything. Lennon and Amelia were super sexy. I loved their banter and the connection between them!

When Lennon Carter returns to his hometown to find the next piano playing virtuoso he never expected to cross paths with Amelia Dillon and feel the tangible heat between them. She is his student but the lull between them can not be denied. He craves her submission just as much as the beautiful notes she plays on the piano. But when secrets from the past come out and a painful link ties them together, Lennon and Amelia must traverse a painful road filled with secrets and lies.

I loved this story so so much. While this is a story about control and submission, it is not a BDSM story. Amelia had sass for days. Her strength and determination was a main reason Lennon became enthralled and obsessed with her. He wanted full control in the bedroom, but was fantastic in supporting her and protecting her. I loved that she, as his student, was able to show him, her teacher, what was in front of his very own eyes. He just needed to realize it. Overall, this was fantastic. The twist was amazing and classic Lily White. I am obsessed and can't wait for her antihero series!! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

I am not even sure where to start with my review of the fantastic, sexy, smart, tantalizing deliciousness of Sin and Discipline. This student-teacher romance with a hell of a sexy twist kept me at rapt attention until I read every word.

I loved the instant attraction and connection between Lennon and Amelia. From the very start, there was this pull, this bit of magic that woke something in Lennon. A passion, a fire that he’d been missing—denying for years.

And Amelia. My goodness. She’d been living for everyone else but herself—and putting herself at risk. Until Lennon. Until Lennon and his unrelenting need to protect her, even from herself. And I loved how she gave in to her own deep desires—her feelings for Lennon. Her need for him and his discipline. **fans self**

Holy Toledo!!! Forbidden…Student/Teacher story that will have you willing to learn to play the piano by none other than Lennon, the quirky dressing, dark, sexy as all get out alpha man. Not only could he teach me to play the piano, I’m all willing to let him teach me a few things in the bedroom! My Sham-WoW undies sure did get put through the wringer while reading this book!

Amelia lives in the run down section of town. Her home life is less than desirable for anyone. The one thing in her life that she has going in the right direction is her ability to play the piano beautifully. Not only play the notes, but is able to express with each press of the key the feelings that come from an exceptional pianist.

It’s a story that keeps you engaged from beginning until the end. Very well written with not only the student/teacher story as well as a background story there too.

This is only my second book by Lily White, and if the first one totally gave me the chills, Sin & Discipline brought out completely different emotions.

This taboo romance (teacher /student) was amazingly handled. The dynamics between Lennon and his protege Amelia are electric from the beginning, rapidly evolving into something deeper and complex.

"All they knew was that I was a stern disciplinarian behind a piano. They didn’t need to know that the discipline didn’t stop when I took a woman to my bed.

When family ties and secrets collide with art and music, I can only enjoy the storyline. I absolutely loved the steamy scenes around the piano. Talk about sensuality! The visual was incredibly sexy.

"In my opinion, we feel the music first, see it second and hear it last."

Engaging characters with strong personalities, a heart-breaking story, a breathtaking tension, don't wait any longer....Enjoy, ladies!

"Nothing mattered. Nothing hurt. Nothing could touch me while the notes wrapped around me in a thick, soft blanket of sound that blocked the rest of the world from view.

I VOLUNTARILY REVIEWED AN ARC COPY OF THIS BOOK. THANK YOU!!!

If I didn't get his POV I would've given this a solid 1 star, because NO. Hell NO.
But he really has NO idea what to do with her or HIMSELF and the effect she has on him.
And, because he's a self-important, grown-ass alpha who's being bested by a slip of an 18 year old spitfire, of course he's a bastard about it all.
He's also a giving and loyal man and cares DEEPLY.
PLUS, he has buggerall time for any other women. He doesn't allow jealous cows with raging hormones to get the better of him like so many other reads where the other women are given so much power.

She's a beauty. I like her vulnerability and strength.
I don't connect with her at all but I love who she is to him and I admire her.
Resilient and SO determined to make something of herself with the pitiful scraps life throws at her. She's also submissive and baffled by his attention and cruelty even as she's drawn to him, even as she surrenders to his will.

1 star less because so much happens off-page that it feels like an abridged version of a fuller book. Its like scenes are deleted and only referred to later on so that the plot can move forward. I felt their story comes across as lacking or "lesser than" because of these "missing scenes".
I like show and not tell.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

The author’s previous books I read left me spellbound and set the bar pretty high for this book I guess. I couldn’t enjoy this as much as I did the others. Not even close! But then I’m not that into BDMS either so that can be it. I don’t know.

I just didn’t feel any emotional connection happening between the main characters. They also weren’t very likable. And the reason for Amelia to mug people and let her brother use her to get money from them weren’t good enough for me. It felt like two poor little rich kids that didn’t want to get off their lazy a$$ to get real jobs and work hard so they could help their sick father.

But I will continue reading this author. I’m still obsessed with her.

LOVED IT!

This was taboo in the best of ways, erotic to the point of blushing, delicious and had this melody that carried these two souls throughout the book.

Amelia is not in a great place but she has a gift that can make her dreams come true. If she can keep herself out of trouble, that is. Which might seem like an easy feat for some, but not so much for her. Amelia is a strong character who has been dealt a hand of injustices but has one chance to make it out. But a little attempted pickpocketing is about to turn her life upside down.

Lennon Carter is a musical god. His talents have taken him all over and provided him with everything he could desire, except closure. A contest brings him back to the one place he would rather not be, home. Lennon is eccentric and interesting. He demands discipline from his students and for them to excel in their music. He doesn't expect to be teaching someone something other than the piano.

While Lennon and Amelia don't make sense, they make perfect harmony together. Twisted in with secrets and demons their tale weaves this sinful story that I couldn't get enough of. I read this in just about one sitting, gobbled up the words like I was starving, and didn't want to put it down. I loved the naughtiness of it and how the story unfolded. Lily White is one of my go-to authors and this one was a great addition to her collection.

“The face I show the world is of a talented musician who dominates the keys. But the face hidden behind shadows is a man who likes to destroy pretty little things. Who likes to grasp a heart of innocence, break it down, strip it bear and demand it spreads its legs.“

Lennon and Amelia’s story is another example of how very creative and talented Lily White is!!!! I really enjoyed this edgy, musical romance that was so unlike anything else I’ve ever read.

If this had been my first book by White, I might not have noticed, but having read everything she’s published, I know what Ms. White is capable of.... Most of this book is extraordinarily well written. For example, the character development is unbelievable; I could easily, clearly envision the characters, their clothing, their expressions, etc.. Alternatively, there were areas of the storyline where there were major gaps. For example, we do not get any inner dialogue from the main character after she l What White typed out is fantastic, but there were quite a few holes I wish had been filled.

Sin & Discipline was a really enjoyable read by a new to me author. I love an age gap book and I love when the h is a virgin. Amelia is 18 and dreams of playing the piano in a Symphony she is taking part in a competition to get a scholarship to a prestigious musical school. Unfortunately she carries a large financial burden and her family is barely getting by which leads her and her brother to criminal behavior. This activity will land Amelia under her future teacher and lover. I loved how Amelia and Lennon first meet, there's nothing better than making a lasting impression lol. Lennon 28 is a rich and famous musician who comes back to his home town where he left painful memories as soon as he could. He would never have imagined that the woman who would consume his thoughts is the young woman who is now his student. I loved this read, it's so deliciously erotic and Lennon was a dominate jerk that had my blood boiling. I don't like BDSM but it was light and I enjoyed every interaction between the Lennon and Amelia.

Sin & Discipline is another amazing standalone book from Lil White and she doesn't let her readers down at all.

Lennon Carter is musician dedicated to his craft and is well-known for the music he creates. He's returned to his old stomping grounds as a teacher for a music program that will aware a scholarship to an exemplary and prestigious music school.

Amelia is one of the 100 students who will be auditioning for the scholarship and is placed under Lennon's teachings. However, their initial meeting was not quite what she anticipated.

Lily White does a great job of taking a delicate story line and not blowing it completely out of proportion and overdramatizing. I love how things come to fruition, blend and work out. There is no unnecessary drama and she holds true to the characters' maturity.

While there is a mild taboo, it's nothing outrageous and I think many readers won't be appalled by it. There is quite a few blazing hot scenes with a smide touch of BDSM/Erotica - I would describe it as a good peak at what could be. I love that some scenes Lily plays out while other scenes, she leaves it your imagination and I find that sometimes even hotter.

Overall, I was truly engaged in this story from start to finish. I enjoyed the underlying suspense that blended well with the taboo and sexy scenes. While the ending felt slightly rushed and a bit abrupt, sometimes it's just better to leave as is and allow the reader to imagine what they want for the couples future.

Lily White never ceases to amaze me with her words. This little nugget of a super hot, scorchingly so, taboo story about a teacher/ student. My temperature level skyrocketed while reading all the naughty things that Lennon Carter could do. My imagination going into overdrive with pictures of the sexual acts being performed. A piano and suspenders will never look the same again.
Amelia Dillon is strong, resilient and the perfect submissive when the time called for it. I really liked her. She wasn’t some young girl going all gaga over her super hot teacher, or doing stupid things but a woman who stood strong, did what was needed to be done when it came to her family.m

I really felt the connection between Lennon and Amelia. The dynamic between the two was spot on, the story flowed and with the past being mixed with the present added so much more insight into what made them tick and what drove them forward.

Lily White I give you a standing ovation for Sin and Discipline.
