Some omegas go to clubs to pick up alphas. Isaac Evans cruises his poetry readings. It’s not the most professional choice, but what’s a horny omega to do?
He doesn’t mean to have sex with Rhett Donovan of the Donovan Poetry Fellowship—the prestigious grant he dreamed of receiving before he slept with the alpha who awards it. And when Rhett gives him a unique career opportunity, Isaac doesn’t mean to fall in love. If anyone found out about his relationship with Rhett, it could mean a career-ending scandal for them both.
He doesn’t mean to get pregnant either. His life is full of accidents.
After Isaac’s made every possible mistake, he has nothing but his poetry to keep him afloat. But in the game of love, poetry might be enough.
The Accidental Everything is a 24,000-word, nonshifter Omegaverse story featuring Mpreg, knotting, and adorable dads. It is an M/M romance intended for an 18+ audience.
This was incredible! There is something about this author's writing style that just speaks to me. It had me highlighting section after section of the text. So many poignant passages and so many tears. She truly makes me feel everything the MCs are feeling like I was living it myself! The MCs are beautifully crafted, so complex yet accessible. They were impossible not to fall in love with. The story itself was breathtaking at times. This is one of the best Mpreg books I have read! Just marvelous!
Considering how short this book/audio is I’m quite pleasantly surprised by how well-written the story is. ❤️ Again, despite what the blurb’s saying, this isn’t just a sexy erotica between an Omega and an Alpha. This is a fascinating love story full of drama and twists. 😌
Issac Evans has given up everything for his love of poetry. After being kicked out at a very young age by his father, he has adapted to become tough and uncaring for most things. Now he only lives for his poetry with the occasional thrill-seeking of sleeping with random Alphas at poetry readings. When he met an irresistible Alpha at a poetry reading he was supposed to perform, Issac gave into his desires for this sexy Alpha one more time. But why does this feel like it’s more than a hot one night stand? Rhett is unlike anyone he’s ever met. He’s caring, loving and genuinely interested in Issac’s poetry. When he found out Rhett is actually the Rhett Donovan of Donovan poetry fellowship, one of the most prestigious grants a poet could ever dream for, Issac has to question his willingness to cross boundaries between professional and personal lives. What’s more important? His dream career of the man he’s become to love and cherish with all his heart?
That was a one good listen. Rhett and Issac are two equally lonely and somewhat broken men because of their pasts and I’m glad they found the solace in each other’s arms. And the drama! OMG! 😱😳 I wanted to smash that another omegas photographer who was hell bent on destroying Issac and Rhett’s lives. 🤬 I’m glad he got what he deserved in the end. I loved the side characters in this story too, interesting and realistic. Considering Barney Parkwynne is new to the genre, he did an excellent job narrating the story. 👏 I really enjoyed his narration. I can’t wait to listen more books in this series. 🥰
4 You, me, family, love and happiness stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Meh. I don't really have too many feelings about this one either way.
I truly picked it up because the title of book 2 caught my attention.
I don't know if I feel like Rhett read very Alpha to me. The first couple scenes I thought so for sure but then it was like he was someone totally different.
Eh, this was all right. I know this is quick, but it makes things happen super fast. It shouldn't have been as short as it was. It didn't establish Rhett and Isaac's connection very well, the sex scenes were lackluster, there was drama put in only to have Isaac change his mind in a flash, then oh yeah he's pregnant, then it skips ahead until he has the baby, then voila HEA. It wasn't very engaging, although it was entertaining at first, hence the two stars. I didn't hate this, it just wasn't very good. Not a good story, not that great of writing...overall it . just didn't work for me.
I meet and fell in love , Isaac and Rhett , the heroes , when I read the ebook version of this short story. Their journey to HEA is sweet , original and entertaining.
Amy Bellows librarian background shines through when she sagely intertwines her heroes lives and raison d'être with one of the most important collections of American poetry.
Barney Parkwynne is a new , to me , narrator. His narration style is more reading than acting the parts .
The Accidental Everything is book 1 in the Nerds Who Knots series .
I received an audio code 🎧from the author for my listening pleasure and am leaving my unbiased and voluntary review.
So I read book 2 The Bookmobile Baby before this one, but reading out of order didn't affect anything here. I didn't enjoy this one as much. I liked the characters, the MCs were sweet and perfect for each other, but everything about the story just felt rushed.
This was a surprisingly complete book for only being 94 pages. And it was hot hot hot right from the beginning. As with most single POV books, I do wish we got more of Rhett's perspective. But if you're looking for some light, fluffy, steamy mpreg in the omegaverse, this is definitely for you!
I started this book after seeing a review and well I am truly disappointed, or maybe my standards for "ALPHAS" is a bit to high!
This alpha was a total miss for me, I get it that he has a soft and kind ❤ but, was it really necessary to almost be pathetic. Not to be harsh but it seems like the omega called all the shots and it just DID NOT work for me.
3.5 stars. This was a rather unique book about an omega youtuber who writes poetry about his ass. I would've LOVED it if there were some actual ass-focused poetry included in this book, but alas no. I also feel like there was untapped drama potential what with the motives of a certain film director and wealthy, snobbish family. But this was still a fun, light hearted omegaverse with HEA. I don't think I'm going to progress with the series though.
I had to stop listening to the audiobook as I really disliked the narrator. So, I switched over to the book and really enjoyed it. This is a relatively low angst, sweet quick read. Rhett is the alpha, who at times really didn’t act like one, and Isaac is the sweet omega who had to drop out of school because his father was a tool and kicked him to the curb. Issac writes poems and reads them on his YouTube channel. He goes to a reading at the start of the book to earn the Donovan Poetry Fellowship. What he doesn’t know is the alpha he picks up is none other then Rhett Donovan. What we have is a serious of unfortunate accidents that lead us to our HEA.

I stopped reading this about halfway through because it was causing me anxiety about what was happening to Isaac. I didn't think I was going to pick it back up again but I am glad that I did especially since I finished book 2 as well and I enjoyed that on too.
I definitely wouldn't have minded a longer more in depth book but it was was still fine as it. Isaac was a great character and Rhett was a sweetheart.
I shouldn't have liked this book. It's short and very insta-love, both things I dislike, however it's really well written. As with all of Amy's books, the characters are interesting and engaging. I liked the poetry aspect and how Isaac is focusing on spoken poetry only as I love performance poetry.
This would have easily been 5* if there was just more of it. Especially more of their early relationship so we can actually see them fall in love instead of just being told there's feelings.
This is Amy’s first story. This is a mm mpreg novella, featuring Rhett and Isaac. Told from omega Isaacs POV. Great setting of the poetry community. I’ll read more from this author.
This was too quick! I enjoyed the non-shifter omegaverse element, along with the instalove, it just went by too quickly to fully start enjoying the leads or see much of their chemistry. Sure, there's instalove, a mating bond, and mpreg, but I would have liked to see more interactions between the MCs other than knotting or the poetry plot.
As for the audiobook, the pacing on this was a bit off for me, I haven't read anything by Barney Parkwynne before and am not sure if it's a one time issue or if that's a regular type of narration that happens. We shall see!
Just to establish where I'm coming from, I've enjoyed a bunch of a/b/o fanfiction, but I don't read much of it in pro-fic. So for this I wasn't sure what to expect, but overall I enjoyed it! I enjoyed the writing style, and both the MCs are super nerdy about poetry, which I loved. I love books where people are passionate about something and it comes through in the text. The first sex scene is super hot, and I liked the set up of the book.
However, it is very short, and the second half suffered from that. Once conflict starts happening there's not much breathing room for the story, and the last 25% or so (with the accidental pregnancy - given it's listed as mpreg I'm not counting that as a spoiler) were really rushed, both in creating the conflict and resolving it.
So if you like a/b/o mpreg and just want to read a short story on that premise - this does that! But I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who's not into those tropes already.
I enjoyed this quite a lot! (more than I expected)
I do wish it had been longer (and I was very pleased that the version I read included some extras)
I really loved the omegaverse the author crafted in this series (and was expecially intrigued by the heat pregnancy idea - a new idea to me despite how many omegaverse books/series I've read).
Overall it was just a smoking hot and lovely read.
