Sutton Atwood, the man who almost killed me, is back. This time, his weapon of choice is the very legal system that was supposed to protect me and mine.
He wants my son—not because he loves him, but because he hates me.
I can’t let him win. I won’t let him win. If compromise is my only option I’ll take it, even if it kills me.
Sorry Dayton, I love you, but my son must come first.
Dayton
How can I protect the woman I love if I’m part of the threat?
By any and every means possible, that’s how—except Christa’s not making my fight easy. Why would she when I still have everything to prove and she has everything to lose?
Sure, I can compromise—maybe—but fair warning, retreat is definitely not in my nature.
I’m in a league of my own, a winner, a fighter, and I absolutely will not quit until my enemies are eliminated.
Read the finale in the scintillating Irresistibly Mine series now.
Tracie Delaney writes billionaire romance where the men fall hard and the women make them work for it. Even though she has more than 35 novels published across many different series, Tracie still considers herself a reader first and foremost and loves fangirling over her favorite authors.
At night she likes to curl up on the sofa with her two furbabies, Murphy & Cooper, and binge-watch shows on Netflix. There may be wine involved.
The plot held my interest, I was very anxious to watch it unfolding. There was something missing and I wasn’t convinced of Christa and Dayton’s love. It was like going from points A to D, having missed points B and C completely. Deep feelings were not fully supported in the execution.
Enthralling adventure as Christa's Ex worms his way into her life, intent on filling it with tears and fears as he tries to use the son he never wanted to finish any happiness she has!! But her boyfriend, Dayton, is by her side, and refuses to let anything happen to the woman he loves and the boy who has become a son! A spectacular finish to this explosive duet,as you never see what's coming around the corner! You can feel the tension, laugh at the light moments, and hold your breath as Christa's ex,Sutton, uses his evil mind to do everything possible to drive her crazy. Will he get her child, a boy he only wants access to for manipulative purposes, or can Christa make everyone see Sutton exactly as he Really is? An intriguing story written by two insightful authors, taking you through the pain and wonder side by side with Christa and Dayton. I highly recommend these two books to All, if you are ready to take a wild ride through the emotions of life!!
Did I say how much I absolutely ADORE this collaboration between these two brilliant authors? If I didn’t then I really am slipping because these books, this series is absolutely awesome!
The overall plot in Tempting Christa really does come to a climactic end in Avenging Christa. I read it with so much trepidation that I think I gave myself a headache. You see there were so many frustrating moments for me and what I mean by that is ‘frustrating because I wanted to beat one of the characters with a club and not think twice about it.’ You know those characters that are just inherently evil & sadistic? That’s Sutton. And every time he came on the scene I was so bloody frustrated that I couldn’t crawl through my kindle and garrotte the barstardo! <(Not a typo, but I can’t write the real word so...)
I love how these two authors have thought about this, done their research & come up with such a tasty story. It’s really a testament when two authors can work together so seamlessly and come up with an intriguing & genuine plot.
I did notice a crossover between this book and another character who appeared briefly in one of her other series which I was totally shocked & completely giddy about because that character is MINE. I claimed him & I’m having him. If you haven’t spotted this character, read Delaney’s Brook Brothers series & you’ll see who I mean. However don’t go crazy & think you can have him. Please see above if you wish to start that argument.
I really & thoroughly enjoyed this series & collaboration. Here’s hoping for more! Highly, highly recommend!
The powerful combination of these two authors comes into its own in this sequel to Tempting Christa. While they are brilliant authors in their own right, here they create something way larger than the sum of their two parts.
This book continues the story of Christa and Dayton, as Christa's violent ex comes back on the scene, taking a wrecking ball through their burgeoning romance and happiness. But some of my favourite characters from the Brook Brothers books are also back on the scene too, popping up when least expected, lightening the load and adding a touch of humour. I loved the way they were weaved into the story as if they belonged there all along.
Every single time I thought I knew where this book was heading, another twist, another turn, another tear-jerking moment took me by surprise, right to the very end. The action simply did not stop - Explosive doesn't even come close to describing it. A fab ending to a fab series. But we definitely need to see more from these two authors writing together.
I would like to thank Tracie Delaney & M A Comley for writing a compelling finale to a terrific series.
This is another PAGE TURNING & UNPUTDOWNABLE book. Christa is dating Dayton Somers, her son Max loves him and she loves him too. BUT there is a man who is out to crush Christa and his name is Sutton Attwood. He's Max's biological dad. He's out to ruin Christa and take away Max, but Dayton & Christa will do ANYTHING to keep him away. Unfortunately, the courts have said Sutton can see his son and has visitiation rights. What happens next will either make or break Christa & Dayton's relationship. How far is Sutton prepared to go? What will it take to get Sutton out of Christa & Max's lives?
All will be revealed when you read the 2nd and final installment of An Irresistibly Mine series.
OMW what an amazing end to the Christa and Dayton suspense saga and I loved every minute of it, my only gripe is that I didn’t want it to end and was hoping that somehow these two great authors would manage to throw in a book 3. I am really, really going to miss these characters so much.
It was also lovely to see another favourite of mine, the super hot Cole (from a previous series of Miss Delaney, The Brook brothers and another series I recommend) feature as well.
I can’t recommend Tempting Christa and then Avenging Christa highly enough.
This follow on book is every bit as heart stopping as the first one. This sees Dayton and Christa taking on the manipulating Sutton Atwood and stopping him from taking baby Max. Nothing can get in the way of the love a mother has for her child. Christa is fighting tooth and nail for Max and with the love that Dayton has for both of them they eventually manage to play Sutton at his own game. The sting in the tail is Sutton's sister Rochelle who, now that her brother is no longer a threat to Christa tries to carry on from where he left off. This book will have you reeling from one page to another unable to read further but scared not to. A fabulous book which should be given more than 5 stars.
This is book two in the Irresistibly Mine collection and continues on from book one, Tempting Christa. You can feel the intensity building from the very first page as you see Christa and Dayton do everything they can to stop Sutton Atwood taking Christa's son, Max. Sutton is the villain that you love to hate. he is charismatic, evil and out for revenge that he feels is justified against Christa for going against him. once you think all of the drama and suspense is over you are thrown in again with a surprising twist at the end. A heart stopping read that makes you want to continue to the end whilst also fearing what will come next.
What a great collaboration between Tracie Delaney and M.A. Comley. I have been chomping at the bit to see how this story was going to pan out after the ending of Tempting Christa, I certainly wasn’t disappointed. You can feel the tensity coming at you from the story, my heart was pounding. The love between Dayton, Christa and her son, Max flows off the pages of this book. I have enjoyed all the characters in this story. The baddies in this book are so awful that you want to hate them - that is a sign of great writing for me. This is an amazing series and I highly recommend it. A well deserved 5 stars from me.
What a suspenseful, nerve wracking and bumpy ride. While most of the story was to be expected and kinda predictable, there were still a couple of things that surprised me. Although I felt with the characters and their tough way through this story, I liked that it was not smooth sailing but had real bite to it.
The Story: Sutton was a monster but always escaped prosecution because of his status and money. Now he was set to destroy Christa and take away what she loved the most because she tried to imprison him. Fortunately, Christa has Dayton by her side and his finances are what grant them more possibilities and security, meaning a higher chance of winning the fight against Sutton. But will it really be enough?! Who will come out in the end as the winner?! And what might get lost along the way?!
Thoughts: I liked that the book started where the first one left off. Although this story felt familiar to me as I’ve read many similar ones, I was captured by the suspense of it and couldn’t put it down until I knew how the war between the characters ended.
Of course, all the worry and fear of what might happen if Sutton won took a toll on Christa and Dayton as individuals as well as their relationship. I liked how they found strength in one another and didn’t relent to the tireless pressure that was inflicted on them.
The story had a great pace, was well written and hard to put down. I also loved that a certain favorite character of mine came to help Dayton and Christa, someone whom we met in previous books by Tracie Delaney.
All in all, I really enjoyed this conclusion, which I also liked a little bit better than the first book because the story was steadier and had a more defined line on where it was headed. At least that’s how it felt for me.
This book picks up on Christa and Dayton’s story after the shock news that the despicable Sutton has been released from prison, and is seeking his revenge. Will Christa, Dayton and Max’s love for one another be enough, or will Sutton manage to break Christa and everything she holds dear?
The writing collaboration from these two authors is spot on. The characters come to life, the story sucks you in, and the tension over what Sutton is going to do next really had me on edge at times. That man is pure evil and, whilst completely unlikeable, a real testament to how good the writing is that he is so life-like.
Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better, we also get a cameo from two of my favourite characters from the Brook Brothers series as well, Cole and Draven. That was a nice little touch from Tracie Delaney.
An excellent end to this two-book series, which is well worth a read.
I completely loved it. The second part of the series delivers in spades: we get to see just how vile Sutton is – nothing like a character you love to hate; how ‘damaged’ his sister is – ditto; the sheer volume of rubbish that Dayton has on his plate – the man deserves a medal; Draven – no comment necessary.
I love the versatility of Tracie Delaney, whether she is writing a sports romance, a series of family novels or women’s fiction books, she has a unique style that absorbs the reader from the opening scene.
Her writing style and pacing are excellent; you don’t get bored. The books are well structured, tethered in all the right places and there isn’t any waffle. Each scene has a purpose and moves the plot forward. Those are the makings of a talented writer.
Absolutely brilliant so thrilling and heart racing! When Christa is forced by the courts to give access to her child to the evil ex who tried to kill her she is forced to sit and watch on tenterhooks just praying her baby comes home happy and safe it’s a mother’s worst nightmare and really shows how broken the family courts are! No spoilers here you will have to read it to find out what happens but don’t worry as expected from Tracie this story has an incredible racey underlying sex story. Christa and Dayton are meant for each other but will the stress of the family courts and the evil Sutton Atwood get in the way of what deserves to be an incredible relationship?
Simply a terrific read. Romantic thrillers written in two parts are not my jam tbh. But I did enjoy this.
I found the villainous characters fascinating, and even the difficult streak that Dayton displayed was intriguing. The undertones of why the characters were like that was so subtle and well done.
Tracie Delaney is getting better and better. And what a great collaboration this was with MA Comley.
Thank you to the authors for an ARC, however this is my own honest opinion.
Part 2 of the fabulous story of Christa and Dayton with their battle with Sutton Atwood.
Christa will do anything for Max and to ensure she wins this battle against Sutton even if that means breaking her heart and loosing Dayton - but realises he's the strength she needs to fight him.
Dayton will do anything he can so their family isnt destroyed possible but will it be enough? Can they fine any dirt to stop Sutton in his tracks winning and taking the 'heart' of their family away?
A fantastic page turning read ..... which definitely makes you want more.
Avenging Christa continues on from where book 1 left off. Packed full of twists and turns, romance, revenge, love, emotions, drama and family this books sends you on an emotional rollercoaster. You never quite know what is going to happen next. All I am going to say is they really do go through the wringer but even though they go to hell and back they come back fighting and stronger for it. I loved this book and all of the characters good and bad.
Continuation of the Dayton and Christa saga. Sutton storms back into their lives causing havoc. Are there previous victims of Sutton or will he become an active part of their lives and become Max's real dada? It was great to have Cole Brooks and Draven make an appearance in this book. Mel and Tracie has produced another racy novel, that was quick and easy to read.
When two amazing authors get together you expect brilliant but this book is just amazing. A story that takes your breath away on each and every page , if this is the first in the series I am waiting with bated breath for the next book
I loved this duet so much and also lovely to meet characters from previous books, was so good to have Cole and Draven turn up. Really wish I could give it more than five stars.
This one wasn’t bad but the first one was amazing. Christa coming face-to-face with Sutton and Rochelle. It’s amazing how money can make all issues go away.
Loved the pull and push of these two books alpha male scared lady and awful time she had but he helped and the twist and turns took close to the edge of uneasy and doubts
When two awesome authors come together to write a story like this you know it just doesn't get any better that this.Sometimes a follow up book can be good, average or simply the best damn book ever, and this second book fit into this last category by far, just superb.
This start exactly where book one finished with Christa pushing Dayton away because when it comes to choosing between your lover or your child there is no contest, this is what her ex Sutton wants to happen, but he does not know the strength and determinations that is Dayton and he will do anything to protect what is his and that is Christa and Max.
WOW the twists to this story is mind-blowing you just never know where this story is going from one moment to the next, which keeps you on your toes throughout, the action was explosive with how this was all unfolding before my eyes, and the icing on the cake for me was that we got to see some of our favourite characters from Tracie's earlier books which for me personally was great,i mean come on what is not to like about Cole Brooke making a few appearances along with Draven.
A sensational ending to a explosive book was just what i wanted to read,if this is how these two authors are together i want more much more of this please.
I thought that this was a really good follow up book and I thoroughly enjoyed the story. The characters are very well developed and I loved getting to know them even more as the book progressed.
I do think you would need to read them in order to be able to fully get in to the story as the themes in this book do run on directly from the first book, Tempting Christa.
I thought that the detail in the book was very good and it kept an excellent pace throughout. It is 4 stars from me for this one, I really enjoyed it and it is a very good read, I am genuinely pleased that my daughter introduced me to this series and these lovely authors!
