Or so I thought.
Then a truck runs a red light and I come face-to-face with her. I’m drawn to Quinn in a way I’ve never felt before and for the first time in my life, I’m beginning to think I could have more. Until a chance encounter reveals deeply buried secrets and challenges everything I thought I knew.

A.M. Myers lives in Cody, Wyoming – a little town about an hour away from Yellowstone National Park – with her husband and their two boys. She has been writing for most of her life and even had a poem nationally published in the sixth grade but the idea of writing an entire book always seemed so daunting until a certain story got stuck in her head and wouldn’t leave her alone until she started typing. Now, she can’t imagine a time when she won’t be letting all of the stories in her head spill out onto paper. A.M. Myers writes emotional, gripping romantic suspense novels that will leave you swooning and hanging off the edge of your seat from start until finish. When she is not writing, you can usually find her up in the mountains with her boys, camping, fishing and taking photos of the beautiful landscape she is lucky enough to call home.
Holy cow! This book had me on an emotional rollercoaster ride I never wanted to end. Totally didn't see that twist coming and it takes quite a bit to surprise me! Just wonderful characters you completely become invested in and I love seeing all the series characters again and again. This one is a bit of a slow burn, but given the FMC's history it completely makes sense. Just super sweet!
Two people who have gone through hell but deserve happiness has to wonder if love enough? When all secrets are out in the open is love enough?? When all the truths are out is love enough?
All the family that Quinn has left is her sister and her daughter. She got the business that her grandma started and is making it even better. Too scared to go out and meet anyone... she is content with her life.
Lucas or Smith as known by his club brothers only has his one blood brother and his club brothers left. He spends half of his time chasing down his brother, Clay, the drug addict, to have much of a social life.
Lucas and Quinn meet when she gets hit by a hit and run driver right in front of him. He helps her stay calm until the ambulance gets there and ends up going with her to the hospital. They both bring each other peace.
Everything is going good until they are together when she sees the one person who turned her world up side down. Bad thing is Lucas is chummy with this person. She won't tell him what because she doesn't want him to have to choose. Instead she leaves.
Again is love enough?
Good book but left a few important questions like how did he know the little girl was his??
It Ends Tonight is the fourth book in the Bayou Devils MC Series by A.M Myers. I Really don’t know how she does it, but this series just seems to get better and better with each new instalment- it really shouldn’t surprise me, because Ms. Myers never does anything by halves, and always manages to exceed my expectations. But I really wasn’t prepared to love this story as much as I did. Quinn and Lucas (Smith) were so easy to love and become emotionally invested in- I found myself cheering them on right from the beginning. From the moment they ‘meet’ to the very last word, this story had me in its hold, while also playing with my emotions. I really loved this book. It definitely has all the qualities needed to make it a truly compelling read. You will laugh, and you will cry… and you will love every minute. There were so many elements to this story, which were cleverly crafted by Ms. Myers, into this captivating story, which I’m sure you will love just as much as I do!
OMG, this series has been off the charts and I can't get enough of them. Each book is perfect in every way and I must read them all. A.M. Myers is the bomb. Her writing is raw and wild, intense and emotional with a touch of darkness. Get ready for the journey guys... It Ends Tonight is the fourth book from the Bayou Devils MC and explores the lives of Smith and Quinn. But I must tell you something. You must read the first 3 books in order. Despite the fact that all are standalone, things happen that will make you understand this book better. Trust me. You'll love it. Lucas Smith is one of the brothers from the Bayou Devils MC. One thing that they all have in common is that they will protect each other till the end. Nineteen years ago, his life came crashing down and he was left all alone to fend for himself and for his brother. They are the only family they have left, and he will protect his little brother with everything he can. His brother is doing some bad choices but he needs to be there for him, no matter what. When he witnesses an accident... Quinn has suffered tremendously when her parents died as well as her grandmother. Now she only has her daughter and sister to protect. When an accident puts Lucas in her path... OMG... This book... My heart... My soul... I freaking love it. Amazing plot, well written, super engaging, and intense. Each chapter was so perfect, so amazing, so breathtaking that I can't describe. These characters were perfect for each other and you can feel the love they shared, their complicity. How can a huge pain transform into a great love? How can a traumatic situation be overcome? There were parts of this book that it hurt so much to read because the scenes were so well described that you could feel it. The emotions that this book evoked in me was so high, so intense. I'm overwhelmed with this series. Great book A.M. Myers. Freaking awesome. Can't wait to start the next book.
Lucas and Quinn both know how deeply loss can impact their lives, and will continue to do so to their future. It shapes you, shapes the person you'll become.
In Lucas's case, he instantly became a man and guardian to his little brother, Clay. Knowing they were all the other had left, Lucas never regretted stepping up, but it also didn't leave him time to have a life separate from his role as big brother.
Quinn lost her parents at a young age and was then raised by her grandmother. Unfortunately, she too passed a year prior and now all Quinn has left is her sister and daughter.
When a truck blows through a red light, Lucas and Quinn's paths cross, and both feel the connection, the just knowing something special just happened, but it also brings back memories of the past, of tragic times that the heart never quite heals from.
As Lucas and Quinn spend time together, it seems the present has it's own dangers for them and they're caught in the middle. While Lucas and Quinn navigate the threat coming for them, and trying to make peace with their respective pasts, they must do everything to protect those closest to them and ensure they have a future...together.
Can Lucas and Quinn move forward and embrace the chance they've been given? Do they want to? What danger is haunting their steps, determined to take away the future they're starting to so desperately want? Is a HEA possible?
One-click now and follow along as two people, both with their own emotional baggage and demons, must choose whether they're strong enough to face what's to come and what they could become. I like that Lucas and Quinn are able to understand what the other has gone through, both suffering from their losses, and therefore, will be able to help the other heal. It was nice seeing them both grow, realize they could have more than they thought possible, and choose to fight for it. - By Elizabeth
It End’s Tonight by A.M. Myers a five-star read that will end your heart. This is the forth book in the Bayou Devils MC series and each book tells the story of a different MC member and each builds on he last giving you a more complete story, building into a more compelling and deep story that will suck you up and spit you out an emotional wreck the other side. Quinn and Smith have a sublime meet cute and their story just gets stronger and stronger, Quinn can come across as a woman possessed at times, but in the best way possible, she has fought for what she has and she will keep fighting no matter the consequences. Smith is a little boy lost who has his brothers behind him showing him the path to true happiness. This book will make you cry and it will make you laugh and fall in love with a big biker named Lucas. Thank you for being a true writing talent.
When Lucas doesn't leave Quinn's side after an accident it shows how connected these two are and when he claims Quinn without hardly knowing her but knowing she is his blew me away. The story between them just grows and explodes into something that was unexpected. The twists and turns in this story just left me breathless. I highly recommend this story and I hope there is more from this author in the future. What an amazing story!!! Heartfelt characters that broke my heart.
I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. This story is fast paced and easy flowing. The characters are both lovable and relatable. They took me on an emotional roller coaster ride that just kept going. Fate puts Lucas and Quinn in each others path when a truck runs a red light. The problem is, their meeting opens up old memories that could turn lives upside down. Will they survive what life is throwing at them? I highly recommend reading this book to find out.
Holy emotions! Quinn and Smith click instantly. I loved the secondary characters also. We met Little Miss and Quinn's sister Alice, they are both key players in this book. Quinn is a survivor, her past is not one you would wish on anyone.
We finally learn a bit about Smith's past and his issues involving his brother. Will he find the time to just be him instead of his brother's keeper? You'll have to read it to find out :D
This is the 4th book in this phenomenal series and is Quinn and Lucas' story. This is beautifully written flawless story which is an emotional roller coaster throughout. I was completely captivated throughout this addictive page turner and I cannot wait to read more in this fascinating series which I highly recommend for all.
This series is hard for sure but who said love was easy. If you love stories about pain, redemption, and happy endings you'll love this series as much as I do.
It Ends Tonight (Bayou Devils MC Book 4) By: A.M. Myers 5 out of 5 stars
The story It Ends Tonight (Bayou Devils MC Book 4) by A.M. Myers is a romantic suspense book. It is the next story in a series that I have loved since I read the first book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and that I didn’t want to put down until I had finished the last page. I loved reading about the characters of Lucas Smith and Quinn Dawson. Lucas is in the Bayou Devils MC club. They are like family to him. Lucas also has a brother and sometimes his actions are harder to figure out than the others. Lucas is very caring almost to a fault. He believes that he can protect the bond he and his brother have. Quinn is a woman who is beautiful, strong, and independent. Little does she realize how deep her feelings for him will run. A truck brings these two together and they soon find themselves attracted to each other. They can’t stop thinking of one another and Lucas is determined that he will look out for Quinn. While these two both have a past and secrets they also have never felt the way they do for each other. Little by little Quinn is losing pieces of her heart of Lucas. What will happen to them when and or if an unexpected revelation is made? Will they lose each other or will the love that they feel pull them together? Will they get their chance at an HEA? Read this book to find out. Both Quinn and Lucas are characters that I grew to love more and more with each chapter that I read. You know that they are meant to be together and I had my fingers and toes crossed that their relationship would last. I enjoyed the bantering back and forth between Quinn and Lucas as well as their interactions with the other characters in the story. Some of these characters are brought forward from other books in the series and I enjoyed reading about what they are doing now. This is an amazing story that has wonderful characters and had me at times turning pages. Highly recommended reading.
Ahh man what can I say about Lucas (aka Smith) He is in all the books of this series and you must read them in order to understand who everyone is. Trigger warning in this book where it covers rape, drug addiction, murder and suicide so be warned. Lucas was always the funny guy who messed with his MC brothers about their love lives and was the life and soul. However in this book we learn the jokester persona is really hiding a loving man who will do anything for the ones he loves but has had so much tragedy in his life. His Mom died in tragic circumstances and his brother has been a drug addict for years and Lucas has tried so many times to find him and get him clean to no avail. Lucas meets Quinn when he is waiting at lights in traffic and someone runs a red light and hits her car, he goes to offer help and both Quinn and her daughter Brooklyn seemed charmed by him. Quinn had a traumatic experience which means she doesn’t trust men but has felt differently about Lucas from the moment he held her hand in the crash. Brooklyn & Lucas are too adorable and every time she squeals Dada I smiled so much as Quinn & Brooklyn are exactly what Lucas needs even when he doesn’t realise it. I love seeing all the gang still throughout this series and even though I cried a little with Clay I know Lucas is getting the HEA he needs. I also loved Alice & Iris they were good characters and hopefully we see them again throughout these books Let’s see what the next book brings.. oh and I think the 2 nasty men from the end of book 3 may have something to do with Laney, just a guess as they have been a no show since they schemed so I think they did it.
I don't even know where to start with this one!? We first met Smith in the 1st book of the series and really got to know him a little better in the 3rd book (Kodiak & Tate's book). He was the funny, goofy brother of the MC. What we didn't know was that behind the jokes and the crazy antics was a man who, because of his traumatic childhood, was förcëd to grow up so quickly. He had to endure so much sadness and so much hurt alongside his baby brother that he felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders. All that slowly started to change when he is witness to a hit and run car accident. He meets Quinn and her precious 13 month old daughter and is instantly smitten by them. Quinn is a single mom, trying to over come a traumatic past alongside her baby and her younger sister. She is reluctant to give Lucas a chance at first but she quickly sees that he's a good man and decides to let him in. Everything is going well between them when he brings her and her baby Brooklyn to the clubhouse for Ali and Storm's babyshower. She sees someone from her past and leaves, not knowing how Lucas would take her reaction to this person. So much happens between them, but it's hard to go into more detail without giving too much away! Just know that this is a beautiful story and they get they well deserved HEA! I can't wait to see what happens next with the rest of the brothers. I definitely enjoyed this story and recommend it and the rest of the series as well.
My review: My Ratibg: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Spice: 🌶🌶🌶 Pages: 413 Genre: Romance Tropes: romantic suspense
Lucas is the comedian of the MC but it hides a man who had to grow up at a very young age and take care of his younger brother. His life has been hard. His younger brother Clay is now a drug addict and refuses all help to get clean. Lucas’s life changes when a truck hits a car right in front of him and Lucas rushes to the aid of the cars victims.
Quinn survived a traumatic event It left her with emotional scars but also pregnant. She keeps the baby and lives her life on her own terms and deeply loves her adorable daughter. Then they are the victims in a terrible hit and run crash. But a man she instantly trusts is right there by her side through it all.
Lucas and Quinn’s story is a beautiful love story until the past rears its ugly head and threatens to tear them apart in the worst way possible.
I won’t give spoilers but this book will rip your heart out and put you back together again. I consider this book and series to be must reads.
Lucas Smith had to step up to the plate and look after his little brother when he watched his family’s life come tumbling down. Years later he joined the Bayou Devils MC and found a new family. Unfortunately, Clay turned in a different direction but Lucas never gave up on him, being there for him at every turn, even when Clay had other ideas. When Lucas sets out to find Clay he watches a truck run a red light. Inside the car is Quinn and her daughter and Lucas feels a connection to them like never before. Quinn has a secret and keeps her circle small to protect herself and her daughter but slowly lets Lucas in until the hidden truth comes out and shatters both of their lives. Can they get through this and be the family they so desperately want to be? This book started off really slow for me. I nearly gave up on it, but as soon as that accident happened, the book, changed gears and the story started. A beautiful romance blossomed between Quinn and Lucas. Yet you always had the feeling, you were waiting for the other shoe to drop and boy when it dropped, it dropped. This story had so much raw emotions and you felt everything the characters were going through. The plot twist was game-changing and really worked well. The characters are likable and you want them to have their HEA Overall a really great story, just push through the first part as it was a bit slow.
The story had potential and I enjoyed bits and pieces of it which is the only reason I even gave it 3 stars. This book could have been cut down a hundred pages and it probably still would have been a bit repetitive. I swear there had to be at least 100 times butterflies in the tummy was mentioned 1000 head nods and head shakes and I don't know how anyone could possibly sigh that much. People stood up after they already stood up and sighed after they sighed and on and on it went. Then there's the fact that the H supposedly fell head over heals pretty much the moment he meets the h but when he finds out who rapes her he just takes off for days and doesn't talk to her and acts like dude isn't a monster after stating that if he ever finds out who did it he would kill them. Sorry bud but you can't just let that slide because of who it is. After days he comes back and acts like he loves her and is on her side again only to do the same thing again after the dude dies. And the h isn't much better with the self sacrificing BS but then hopelessly sits around waiting for him to come back every time. Ugh whatever! Like I said it has potential but needs work. I did not read any of the other books in series and have absolutely no desire to do so.
I was pulled into this book right from the get go, that is where I stayed until I had read every single word that had been written. All the while I had my little mini movie playing out in my head. Twists, Turns and surprises await you within the pages of this book, some of the surprises you may see coming while others you won't, I did find myself trying to guess as to what was going to happen, or trying to work out how something would work out, but I never got one correct, which is usual for me, some of the surprises are large and some are small, but each and every one are equally important and helps to make the book the awesome read that it is. Emotions are rife throughout, I found myself going through them at the same time the characters did, but I think i actually cried more. I did find myself getting frustrated a time or two, but the characters I got frustrated with redeemed themselves quickly. This book is available on audible
Book 4 is just as amazing as the rest of this series! This book is a intense and emotional ride for Lucas (Smith) & Quinn. Lucas has been trying to save and protect his drug addicted brother since they were kids. He’s never given up on him but his brother Clay has never done anything to improve himself and it guts Lucas daily. Quinn’s life is her sister, her daughter, and her work! She will do anything to protect her daughter and her heart. She never expected Lucas to enter her world and spin it on its axis. He is someone she could see forever with but their pasts could cost them any shot at the future.
Their journey has a lot of ups and downs. The reality of addiction is addressed and so are some of the consequences of those troubles. You will be taking back by their strength and commitment to each other. You will love Lucas, Quinn, & Brooklyn. Happy Reading!!!
What a Powerful story this turned out to be . My goodness what a heartbreaking choice to be made. Smith and his brother Clay had a shocking home life Until Iris found them living in a boxcar and became their guardian. Clay suffered the most with the demons from his past and Smith being the big brother did everything he could to protect him but it just wasn't enough . Meeting Quinn changed everything for Smith from the moment that they met he knew he found his one . Only little did they both know a turn of events from Quinns past will impact them all so greatly that that their lives will be forever changed. This is my favourite book so far in this series the angst and heartbreaking life threatening choices that are made will break even the toughest of hearts .
(Lucas & Quinn): THIS was probably my favorite book of the first four. TRIGGERS: Rape, murder, kidnapping, stalking. This book broke my heart in so many different ways. Lucas spends his time with his club and trying to keep his brother, who's an addict, on track. Quinn is a party planner, single mom who lives with her baby sister. Both the main characters have very little in terms of family and have both had a hard upbringing in different ways. This made them perfect for each other. The story goes from heartfelt to extremely 🔥 HOT and just when you start feeling comfortable and like everything is tricky with the world…. PLOT TWIST and this one is Freaking doozie. This whole series is good but this last book…💔👏🏾👏🏾. I need more of Lucas & Quinn.
I liked how it started and developed. I liked how Lucas was just the sweetest and most patient. I liked him with Brooklyn. But Quinn, she began to grate on me. Little things that just made me dislike her. And in the end when she waited for Lucas to come to her and pretty much gave up on him, Quinn just pissed me off. She doesn’t deserve Lucas. Get off your ass and go to him. Fight for him. Doesn’t he deserve that too?
I didn’t like that it ends up being Clay. The thought crossed my mind but I pushed it out because I thought that’d be too “telenovela” and dramatic. 🙄 my mistake because of course it was Clay. And then the suicide. Not a good ending, it made it too easy for Quinn. Again.
This is the first book in this series that I have read. I am in love with these characters. Lucas is a man with a heavy weight on his shoulders and he has found his soul mate. Quinn has lived through trauma that has changed her forever that she still deals with. The story of these two actually took my breath away and I definitely teared up a few times. This is a beautifully written story that deals with rape and it's aftermath in a very tasteful way. Thank you for this story, it hit all the right feels.
I don't know what to say except this series of strong alpha men and the women who capture their heart just continue to get better. Their stories are heartfelt filled with suspense, action, family, friends, pain, humor, good guys, bad guy's and all the in between but most of all finding and falling in love. I can't wait for more in the lives of the Bayou Devils MC !!!!
This book is so full of ups and downs. Touching on some- sensitive to some subjects, but in a way that makes this story relatable. Smith and Quinn's story has been my favorite of the series so far. I love the progression of their "love". Nothing about it was rushed. The spark was immediate, but A.M. Made this more of a slow burn. It's a story that warms you from the inside out. I just say exceptionally done.
It Ends Tonight - Book 4 of the Bayou Devils MC series by A.M Myers
5/5 ⭐️ 5/5 🌶️
TW: SA
Quinn and Lucas (Smith) have a powerful connection and honestly when you figure out how their stories intertwine you will immediately lose yourself.
This book really tore me to pieces a little bit and honestly made me realize that some things truly take a lot out of a person and it’s heart wrenching and inconceivable.
These two were probably my favorites out of this series so far.
This book is pretty average but it has an explicit SA scene in it that was completely and utterly unnecessary. It was wildly explicit and detailed for absolutely no reason. They spend an entire chapter as a flashback, describing her SA that happened 2 years previous to the book. There was no purpose in that chapter. Then during the epilogue the MC states that she forgives the rapist and is grateful for what happened. If I could give it a 0 star I would it's absolutely disgusting.
