The next thrilling installment in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams’s REBEL series.

I’ve waited for him for over a decade.
Loyalties kept us apart. A death set us free.

Watching me.
Studying me.
Waiting for me to be too consumed with hurt to notice he was there.
Someone who knows me.

I’m Einstein . . . like the genius, only smarter and with better hair.

Molly grew up in California but now lives with her husband and daughter in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach . . . which roughly translates to being a homebody and dishing out movie quotes with her hubby. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and loves curling up in a fluffy blanket during a thunderstorm . . . or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.

OMG!!! WOW!!! What a rush! What a read! Days later and I’m still reeling from this roller coaster of a romantic suspense. Molly McAdams is responsible for my almost heart attack while reading Lock. Oh, my beating heart! Lock, the latest riveting Rebel series read, is PURE HEART-POUNDING PLEASURE! I ached for this adrenaline-filled adventure. I was ON EDGE from this exhilaration in words. This romantic suspense rocked my world! I LOVED EVERYTHING about Lock—a smart, suspenseful, and soulful love story!

”I look at you, and God, I see you.”

Once I began, I couldn’t put this book down. I was POSSESSED! A prisoner of Lock’s world. I was so intrigued by this puzzle of a story and longed to put together its pieces. I had to unlock Lock and steal every one of its secrets.

”I was suffocating. Drowning.”

Lock is the story of a beautiful genius and the hot and big-hearted mobster who has longed to make her his. After first meeting Einstein in Firefly and the Borello books that followed, I HAD to have her story. This beautiful and bold beauty, this genius, this rebel . . . I liked and admired Einstein. Maverick made me melt, this hero has the patience of a saint and I fell for him so hard. This hero and heroine were perfection together in their whirlwind of a romance.

”I don’t know how to live in a world where she doesn’t love me.”

Dark, gripping, heartrending, and terrifyingly smart, Lock rendered me breathless as it grabbed me from the first page and never let go. This adventure in words penetrates like a knife, cutting deeply, twisting and turning around the heart, where I plummeted through the dark. OH DID I LOVE THAT FALL! This story shook my soul as it bled into my heart. I cried so much for the hero and heroine as I felt their pain as my own. This book broke me in the best way!

”Death won’t be the end of us.”

Molly McAdams seamlessly weaves light with dark, heart with heat, and suspense with soul in a romantic series that slays all the way! Sexy. Spine-tingling. Sweet. Smart. Soulful. Lock is a tale that is as tender as it is thrilling! It’s not only a romantic suspense but a movie that played in my head while reading that hijacked my heart and challenged my mind. I LOVED every minute of this smart, suspenseful, and soulful love story! I’ll never stop wanting more of these Borello books.

”My heart will never stop beating on time with yours. Don’t you get that?”

Breathless. Blown away. Dumb freaking struck.
This book! God, my mind is still reeling and my heart is still hammering inside my chest from the intensity of everything I’ve just read. Lock was such an emotionally poignant and vastly captivating romantic suspense that consumed me every single second I was immersed in the world of the Borellos. Only Molly McAdams can rob me of my breath, make my heart squeeze and skip a thousand beats, and drown me in a heap of emotions like this. She’ll make you feel like you’re watching a film the entire time, seeing every scene play out in your mind’s eye, and have you on the edge of your seat, clutching anything you could just to hold on. And she’ll definitely push you to the brink of insanity, wanting to flip the pages as fast as you could, just to be able to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Here I thought Lyric was phenomenal, but this... this was beyond what I could’ve ever imagined for Einstein and Maverick’s story.

Our first kiss had shattered all the walls around my heart. That first spoken I love you freed my soul.

Einstein is this quirky, mad computer genius who’s so easy to love. Her jovial spirits and buoyancy were so infectious, you won’t be able to help but smile and laugh at her antics. But Lock will also show you a different side to this girl that even you’ll be left to beg for her to catch a break already. After all, there’s only so much a person can take before they fall to pieces. The things she’s gone through? They’re so heartbreaking, you’ll need to stop so many times in the duration of this book just to take deep breaths, regather the shattered pieces of your heart and will it to calm back down.

“I don’t know how to live in a world where she doesn’t love me.”

Maverick, on the other hand, might be a tough, menacing mobster who could kill you with one shot, but this man has one of the biggest and most tender of hearts too. He has the patience of all the saints put together—waiting on the sidelines, loving his woman quietly for over a decade, and never giving up on her on the most trying of times, even when she did everything she could to push him away. But that’s only scratching the surface on why it’s inevitable to fall so deep and hard for this man. These two will only continue to surprise you at every turn and won’t stop until the dust has settled.

“When you look at what we’ve gone through just to get here, it isn’t important. Being able to actually have a life with you is.”

Maverick and Einstein together were nothing less than compelling and magnetizing. Their connection ran deeper than a bottomless ocean. Their bond has been tried and tested through the roughest and most turbulent of waters. Their relationship has braved and weathered almost anything you can ever imagine. And they might’ve even been on the brink of breaking at one point, but if you have the kind of love and chemistry that these two have? It’ll ultimately take so much more than that to rip them apart. They’re just that meant to be together.

“My heart will never stop beating in time with yours. Don’t you get that?”

Explosive. Addictive. And downright intoxicating. This book had so much heart and soul and grit so potent and raw, you’ll feel vulnerable and flayed wide open even after you’ve reached the end. Lock was absolutely nothing short of a gripping, mind-numbing, soul-shattering and heart-crushing whirlwind of a story that will leave you obsessed and engrossed with every chapter you pass. You’ll get so completely lost in Maverick and Einstein’s world, there’s no chance you’ll want to put the book down once you crack it open. There’s no question that after this, I’m certainly more than looking forward to the next book in the series.

Oh my freaking goodness! Molly McAdams is the QUEEN of romantic suspense and I can't even begin to express to you all how excited I was to FINALLY get my hands on Einstein's book because it feels like I have been waiting FOREVER for it! Although Dare and Lily (from Firefly) are still my favorite couple, I think that Einstein and Maverick might be a close second. Their story was absolutely INCREDIBLE and I was BLOWN AWAY by the author's beautifully captivating writing style. This author just never seizes to amaze me when it comes to her one of a kind writing and don't even get me started on her character development.

Lock takes readers on an emotional journey into the past through flashbacks and keeps readers on the edge of their seats from beginning to end. If readers weren't in love with Einstein before, then they are about to fall head over heels in love with her. Oh and have I mentioned that I found myself breathless too many times to count. There is just something about these characters that take my breath away every time and makes it almost impossible to put a story down, which is exactly what happened when I dove in. I soon discovered that this is the kind of story that needs to be devoured in one sitting. Trust me...you are going to adore Einstein and Maverick's story!

Maverick and Einstein's story is here, it's addictive compelling and heartbreak all at the same time it was a story i can honestly say i wasn't expecting it.

Who knew Einstein was hiding so much in plain sight? Intense doesn't even begin to describe my feelings. There is a particular passage that took my breath from me everything around me just stopped and I was there in that moment. Maverick is not a side character far from it and i loved getting to know how they met. His pain will become your pain you will become consumed by him. The twists and turns the author takes the reader on are so unexpected and kept me reading.

Get ready because you have no idea what your about to read.

This book!
This book hurts. It screams, berates, and it fights. Lock does everything it possibly can to make you run away. Are you strong enough to continue reading or will you crumble?

I'm not even sure where to start other than to say...it hurts. I cried. I sobbed. I ugly cried. Molly McAdams hit low and hard with this one. Lock hits vital organs with uncanny precision. Every feeling you will ever have: anger, rage, devastation, love, hope, remorse, loss, joy, and excitement. All those and more will flit through you quicker than you can turn a page.

Lock is everything!!!!!! Familiar faces, old enemies, New allies, all a part of life. Cameos from Rachel Van Dykens Eagle Elite doesn't hurt this fangirl's heart either!!!

I can't tell you how intense it was. You wouldn't understand or believe me. One day soon, you will..

Holy Hell, Lock is one hell of a crazy ride!

Einstein and Maverick - how cool are those two names?! And, the fact that their cool factor describes the kind of people they are as well only adds to how intriguing this hero and heroine are.

I haven’t met a heroine like Einstein in quite some time; her intelligence, her perseverance, her courage cannot be matched, and my heart felt her anguish and her suffering when nothing seemed to go as planned. I truly don’t know how someone is supposed to carry the load that she had to and the fact that she didn’t break until she did, speaks to exactly the type of person she is. Einstein’s personality is complex and what I loved most about her was that, just when a character or even me as a reader felt like we had her all figured out, Einstein would expose another layer and we’d need to analyze what that one said about her and her life, which was not an easy challenge.

It’s expected that if the heroine is multifaceted than her hero would be as well, and that is so the case with Maverick. Outwardly, his mobster persona reigns and he owns that part of who he is masterfully, but Maverick is so much more than a kingpin, and much of what he is, is illustrated through his love and devotion to Einstein - the woman he has loved from afar for so long…the same one who tried everything she could to push him away, but still, he persisted and broke down her walls. The complexity of Maverick’s character is what will allow readers to see beyond his powerful and deadly position, and his love for Einstein and what he does for her will endear him to readers regardless of how they feel about his other activities.

There is so much to unravel in Lock, but the key to all of that information is not in the readers’ hand, which means that keeper of the key, Molly McAdams herself, is in total control of what pertinent insights she’ll reveal and when, and while I should be used to that process, for some reason, it drove me beyond nuts and put me on the brink a time or two. My mind is one that requires inferences; it just the way my brain is wired, so the fact that I felt in the dark for much of the first half of the story line and

I couldn’t get enough of Einstein and Maverick; I couldn’t get enough of Molly McAdams’ storytelling and character development; I couldn’t get enough of the romance, the suspense, the desire, and the love that resonates from the pages, and the fact that McAdams didn’t make anything easy or simple for her main characters speaks to how strong Einstein and Maverick are and how much faith the author had that her hero and heroine could endure…could overcome…could be victorious with the cards that they were dealt and what they were up against from the very beginning.

This is what romantic suspense is supposed to be - I was literally on the edge of my seat as I dove deeper into the story line; it gripped me in such a way that I wanted to read faster, but I knew if I tried to push forward too quickly that I wouldn’t savor when the secrets were revealed or when the darkness was no longer so overpowering. I needed to be patient and absorb all of the words and sentences that tell a story unlike one I’ve read in a long time.

Lock is a story and Einstein and Maverick are characters that will stay with me for some time - that’s how addictive and consuming it was!

Lock by Molly McAdams is one intense, yet beautiful ride. I absolutely loved this book. So much suspense, emotion, and flat out one of the best love stories I've read. It will keep you hooked from beginning to end.

Einstein's character is one to remember. She endures so much pain throughout this book, but she still stays strong and tries to live her life without anyone knowing everything she had to go through. That is until she lays eyes on Maverick. It's an instant attraction, one they have to silently have for a long time. Then when they can finally love each other, it's magnificent. Maverick is a kind, lovable, yet fierce man who makes Einstein experience what true love really is. I loved these two together and I loved how he protected her and knew when she was ready for him to love her wholly. It was such a mesmerizing, entertaining, exquisite story full of so much love.

So if you enjoy a book with plenty of fun banters between a tight family, lots of love, and so many feelings you don't know what to do with them, then you are going to love this amazing book. I sure did.

I give Lock by Molly McAdams 5 out of 5 FALLEN STARS!

Addictive, sexy, explosive. From page one, Lock grabs you by throat and doesn't let go until the end. So much tension, so much unknown, so much love and heartbreak. I was on pins and needles, needing to find out what happened next, scared to flip to the next page.
In this book we get Einstein and Maverick. While I couldn't wait to jump into their story, I was also scared. You see, I love Einstein. She's been a favorite since we were first introduced to her and I was nervous. I shouldn't have bothered worrying though. I mean, this is Molly McAdams we're talking about and she creates magic. And Maverick and Einstein were magic. I loved the glimpses we got in their past but more than that I loved being in Maverick's head, seeing the depth of his love and his hurt. It was all too realistic but also beautiful.
"I love you. I love you.”
Then he was kissing me again, slowly, passionately. Stealing another piece of my heart.

Terrible. The entire book is based on one character's ridiculous, over the top, overly dramatic behavior. She had zero redeeming qualities.

This was my first Molly McAdams ARC! I already have some of her earlier paperbacks, and a couple of her e-books in my iPad.

To be honest, I wasn't able to read it's predecessors. I had to check the blurbs of some of the books to have an idea who the characters were so I'd understand better.

Overall, you can read this book as a standalone.... but trust me, it'd be much better to read the previous books so you'll have a smoother integration into the next book... Some of them were already in my TBR list—a TBR list that probably consisted of 500 books long... I only bump the ARC's up since they have a due date... I think most of us, bookworms, have that same problem, lol... Anyway...

I have mixed feelings about this one, and I'm probably the only one... I don't know...

I know emotional rollercoasters are the author's trademark, but man... this one felt like the longest rollercoaster ever. I felt beat, tired, angry, anxious, gutted and wrangled—and this is neither good nor bad, its just (sigh) I don't know....

My heart still hurts. My chest feels heavy. Is that even normal? Am I the only one who feels this way?? I didn't ugly cry at all but I was very sad, drained and very frustrated... both main characters frustrated the h3ll outta me, especially the female lead.smh...

All the freaking time I kept yelling at her in my head, "Just tell him! Just tell him!" because for me, the secret wasn't worth all the anguish... it wasn't worth draining the life out of her and him. I know it was explained in story why she did what she did, but for an acclaimed genius, it wasn't a very intelligent move. He loves her so much. He'd take a bullet for her, but why won't she do this for him? For the both them? and this goes on and on... smh.

After all this time, after all they went through... to finally be together, just to be separated again; not because of other people, but because of an accident neither of them want to happen.... Accident's happen all the time. They both work for the mafia for crying out loud! She should've just told him... what she did drained him, drained her and in turn, it also drained me.

Yeah sure we all have our reasons, but come on! At least she did acknowledge she was a coward... and she may be annoying but at least she wasn't a hypocrite... A lot of characters frustrate me, but Einstein (Avery) is one of those at the top... I cant relate to her much. I think I can relate more to Maverick (Andrew) than her... He was just so patient and loving and practically a saint to be the way he was with her. Nobody exerts that much effort or sacrifice anymore these days. He was the martyr and she was the emotional aggressor.

The relief of the heaviness in this story is Diggs (Evan). He was what the story needed to balance the load full of feelings it squeezes out of you... He made me smile and he lightens every situation he's in. He is the epitome of what brother should me. And when push comes to shove, he's got his brother's back 100%.

This is a "heavy" read... a romantic suspense, action and drama.

It is gripping but it's very angsty, and definitely not one of those rainbows and unicorns, lovey-dovey sh!t most romantic saps eat up.

This took me forever to get through, because the book is all over the place. The timeline is all over the place and it incessantly goes back and forth in time. Also - this book is about Einstein - the weirdo from the last book , who was jealous of last book's heroine when she got together with the love of her life... The mean, nerdy girl who was full of spiteful and bitter comments. The sarcastic twit who couldn't have a normal conversation with anyone... The weirdo who would jump into bed with her best friend, and was upset when the best friend got a boyfriend and she couldn't randomly get into bed with her anymore. ?! This is from the last book. So now we get a WHOLE book about HER. YAY! I was hoping she would redeem herself. Nope.

Things i disliked:
1) Einstein's toxic relationship with her (now) dead boyfriend. She had absolutely NO reason to be with him and to suffer his abuse. Ok - sure, let's say that abuse victims are often unable to break away from the toxicity of these relationships, but this girl took it even further. She kept crying over him even when he died, claiming that she couldn't help him / couldn't save him. He beat and raped her repeatedly and she blamed herself for not being able to help him and save him?! She kept saying it was her fault and that she failed him. Wow ok.

2) This series itself seems to be a continuation of the previous series, so if you haven't read the previous series, you are a little lost, because the characters aren't re-introduced, they are just dumped on you and it is assumed that you know the who and what. No backstory is given.

3) Einstein's relation with Maverick infuriated me, because SHE DID NOT DESERVE HIM! She was continuously unavailable to him, both emotionally and physically. He waited for her for 10 years, while she was with the abusive guy, claiming she loved Maverick, and even when they finally got together, she was still cold and unreachable... She gave herself to an abuser, but couldn't make herself trust a nice guy, who was also her closest friend and confidant?!

4) The ridiculous miscarriage was handled pretty poorly too. Einstein kept repeating how she NEVER EVER wants to have kids. She ridiculed her best friend for having a baby. She kept saying kids were the worst thing that can happen to her in her dangerous world, etc... Yet, she accidentally gets pregnant (never heard of protection?!). The moment she realized that she was pregnant, she started shutting Maverick out. Didn't tell him anything. Kept it a secret. Than at 6-8 weeks she finds out that she's carrying twins, but she subsequently has a miscarriage. She doesn't tell Maverick. She tells another girl (who is not even introduced in this book, so i'm not really sure who she is...i'm supposed to know from a different series?). She buries the babies under a tree (how are they even babies at 6 weeks, how did she manage to find "them" in the pool of blood, tissue and goo, as she was miscarrying, is beyond me...). She refuses to speak to Maverick again. She shuts him out and claims her heart is forever broken. Ok, this screams bullsh*t and is insulting to women who are truly trying to have kids and women who suffer through miscarriages . This stupid girl claimed she never wanted a kid, said kids are the stupidest idea EVER, yet after knowing she was pregnant for 2 weeks (btw some people don't even know they are pregnant this early), she is so devastated for a baby she never wanted, that she shuts out the love of her life and REFUSES TO SPEAK TO HIM EVER AGAIN! She even blames him in a way, because she knows he didn't want kids either. So she keeps thinking "he wouldn't care, he never wanted them anyway!" - you didn't either!! How about you tell him and see how he reacts?! Nope...

5) Overall, Einstein was an awful , selfish person, who only thought of herself. Except when she was being selfless with her rapist ex, whom she allowed to rape and beat for 10 years, she was selfish with everyone else. She was selfish with all the people who cared about her. She was mean and jealous of the best friend when she got married, when she got kids... She was careless towards Maverick who wasted 10 years of his life waiting for her ... Generally she was an awful person!

She ruined the book . There was good action towards the end of the book, but by that point - i didn't care. Had i cared about Einstein to begin with - i would have loved the ending...

[I received a digital ARC for an honest review]

Lock by Molly McAdams is an intense and emotionally packed novel. It was dark and depressing and beautiful.

Einstein is a computer genius, who's been in a relationship that went downhill not long after it started. It's emotionally and physically abusive but things would only be worse if she walked away. When she is finally free she is scarred but now I can finally be with a man she really loves. Maverick fell for Einstein the moment she walked into his life and his waited patiently by the sidelines. Now that he can have her he doesn't want to hold back but takes things slow and at the pace that Einstein needs it to be. Just as everything seems to be going good for them, a life-changing event that Einstein keeps to herself tears them apart. She pushes him away in every way she knows how and it's gut-wrenching to watch both of them being such emotional pain.

The only thing I disliked about Lock was the fact that each chapter jump to a different point in time. At points It felt like Whiplash, just as I got comfortable with where the story was going we would get move to a different point in time. Eventually I got use to it, but I felt like it broke up the fluidity of the story line.

Lock is a story about an all-consuming love that won't let you give up on it no matter what. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series and hoping it's about Diggs 😍

I’m a big fan of the Redemption series and was so excited about the Rebel spinoff. I fell in love with these characters and got lost in each of their stories. Therefore it pains me to say this, but I struggled with Lock. Even though I’ve read Lyric, I felt as though I should have read it again in order to know what was going on. It was like I was forgetting some important fact(s) that I sensed I should have known. I’m not a big fan of the switch in each chapter from past to present, but I caught on easy enough and it worked.

My main issue with the book was Einstein. I adore Maverick. The man is so sweet and protective, and he loves with everything he is. He’s also one of the most patient and caring characters I’ve ever seen. I get that we were suppose to feel sympathy for Einstein and hurt for the pain she endured. Sadly, the only emotions I felt were anger and annoyance. Prior to this book she was a great character. This story made her appear selfish and hateful. Instead of understanding her pain, I resented her secrets and the choices she made. Maverick wasn’t the only one she treated badly, and the offers she made to several characters were disrespectful to all involved.

As readers, we don’t always love every book we read and that was the case here. I will continue to read this author’s works and look forward to more from her in the future. Limit is the next book in the series which is Conner’s story. I hope we also get Diggs’ story too.

With each book in this series the suspense level rises a little higher. The unconditional love that Ms McAdams brings to her characters is souls touching. The two together and you have yourself a book you just can't put down.

Einstein was a big part of book one and you truly fall in love with her character then. But as we flashback to the past her trying to heal Johnny, and falling in love with Maverick even from a distance. But as we watch her lose her heart and push everyone away, it is painstaking.

Maverick has nothing but his brother. He slowly accepts this new family the longer they work together. He quickly falls for the one woman he can't have, but he is willing to stand by her and wait as long as it takes. When life feels like it has finally turned for the better it is short lived. But he never gives up on them, for every push she deals out he pulls to bring her back.

Can there be a happily ever after for Einstein and Maverick.

Excited to see where the series takes us next.

I must start by saying I LOVE this author!! She has been a one-click author for me for years now. I’ve read about fifteen of her books and over half of those have been 5 star reads for me. I have to say this one is my least favorite. I’m not really sure why I couldn’t connect with it. I feel like something is off with me because all the other reviews are amazing.

I feel like the book was jumping around to two weeks, two days ago to now in two point of views. I’ve found in the past that sometimes makes me lose the connection. I also feel like the story was dragged out and that something so little was made to be a huge problem through out the book. Not one character grabbed ahold of me like Molly’s characters’ usually do. I really wanted to love this book but something was missing for me.

I couldn't wait for Einstein and Maverick's story. And McAdam's didn't let me down. She had me on the edge of my seat. Flipping the pages. And then she GUTTED me! Molly McAdam's style.

This book gives us flashbacks from the past. From when Einstein and Mav first met. And takes us through their relationship over the years. It was sweet at times and extremely painful at others. But the love and passion between the characters is powerful. And will have you catching your breath at times. It was emotional filled with lots of angst!!!!!

I found myself wanting to reach through my tablet so I could wrap my arms around the characters to give them comfort. LOL!! I can't get enough of this series or characters.

Ohhhh my goodness!!! I think my heart is finally beating normal again! Because it definitely hasn’t been since I started this book! The minute I started it I was sucked right in and HAD to know what happened!! I couldn’t flip the pages on my kindle fast enough. Einstein and Maverick stop my heart right along with the rest of their family. Add in the suspense of this story and needing to know what happened and just dang!! I work long hours during the week anymore and I don’t have time to read. I MADE time to read. I HAD to know what happened! And I needed to know if there was going to be a happily ever after. Being on he edge of my seat for the last two days was totally worth it and then some!

Einstein is dealing with something and Maverick has no idea what or why she is pushing him away. The thing is, in their lives, danger is around every corner.

A little disappointed with this book. Loved Einstein in every book and was excited for her story but really didn’t like her here!

HOLY CRAP!!

I loved Einstein, but really didn’t know much about her other than she is the genius of the group.
I fell in love with Maverick! In the previous books, we knew of him as the twins with his brother.

“I wanted to tell him that all he did was love me.”

Einstein has been in love with Maverick basically from the day she save him and his brother. And Maverick has had to hide his feelings for her as well. Until that was no longer an issue for either of them.

“Jesus, Avery. Don’t you get it? I love you. I would go to hell and back for you. This is nothing in comparison.”
I breathed a sigh and pushed from the floor. When I got to the bed, I sat with a foot between us. It felt like how it used to be.
Twisting to face her, I said, “But none of that matters if you don’t want to do this with me.”

It’s not easy for Einstein to act of her physical feelings with Maverick. After what she went through with Johnny, it was understandable as to why she was so hesitant. But when these two beautiful souls came together, it was like watching fireworks go off. 10 years of built up lingering stares, sneaky touches, stolen moments...led up to the big moment. The moment that in turn, changed everything for Einstein.

It’s not easy to keep a secret as big as the one that she had when she’s so close to her family. As they all know, anything extra is a target on their backs with former enemies. It wasn’t easy as a reader to watch her slowly kill herself in her grief. Watching her push Maverick without him knowing why once again shredded my heart. But knowing why she was pushing him away, still didn’t make it any easier.

“Being in the middle of the ocean without a way to get to shore or save myself didn’t come close to explaining it. I’d had help. I’d been holding on to my lifeline...and I’d let go.”

For a year, since everything changed without him knowing, Maverick is slowing falling apart and also trying to fix what went wrong with Einstein. When the truth is revealed to Maverick I just wanted to climb into this story and give him a hug and cry along with him. No one likes finding out news the way that he did.

“I don’t know how to live in a world where she doesn’t love me.”

Their story shredded me. In Einstein’s heist to push away from everyone, she manages to land herself in even bigger trouble. It forces her to make confessions to herself over and over again, once again shredding my heart, when all I wanted to do was lock away the emotions.

There was so much happening and so many emotions

In the beginning, I was a little confused with the back and forth in tenses, but as I read it made sense for the characters and the story. Einstein and Maverick were going to happen regardless of the years that they couldnt be together. When the timing was finally right, they had past and present drama to deal with at the time. I wish they were able to realize that they could have dealt with stuff together sooner, but I'm sure going through everything has made them closer after the book has ended. I hope them together are in the next book. I have read and loved Rachel Van Dykens Eagle Elite story, but somehow had no idea that Phoenix, Andrei, and Vic made cameos in this book. I need to go re-read Envy now apparently. I'm glad it said at the end of this book that their crossover over concluded there? I'm also glad that I waited to read this book until the whole series was out so I am able to jump to the next one too.

First off, trigger warning! This novel deals with . I don't normally have trigger issues but I think some situations in this book could really affect someone who's had traumatic experiences related to those topics hence the quick warning from my part.

Beside all that, this novel was great! I truly enjoyed it more then Lyric, it had more of a storyline that felt less rushed and more impactful. I loved Einstein's character and could truly relate to her pain. I also loved how Maverick was such a softy for her when in reality he is this hard mafia man.

This novel is extremely suspenseful and has you flipping through pages rushing to get to the end so you can find out what happens!

I can admit that I'm a little sad knowing that this next book will be my last glance at the Borello clan!

So many feelings!!!!

I’ve loved Einstein for such a long time but I don’t think I was ready for her book at all. There’s so much pain and struggle for years and years in her and Mavericks story. Their story is heartbreaking and beautiful and so freaking painful.

Every time something painful happens and you think that must be it, something even worse follows. My heart hurt so much for how much Maverick loves her. He silently loved her for years and never once thought about giving up.

Once they’re finally able to be together, you just want to be happy for them but the world comes back to crush them some more. I felt so much pain as I watched Einstein attempt to self destroy. It was hard to read at times, hard to stay with her as she made these decisions. Hard to watch Maverick get crushed a little bit more each time.

These books always keep me on the edge of my seat and I cannot wait for the next one!!!

OMG! I loved Einstein and Maverick. I'm so happy this one did not disappoint. I was dying to know what was up with Einstein in Lyric and oh boy did the author do a wonderful job on her book. Lock is about Einstein and Maverick and I really loved what the author did with this book. It is told in the past from both of their pov as we see into Einstein's relationship with Johnny, how she met Maverick, and their relationship during the events of Lock. Its also told in present tense. This back and forth was great as we understand why she was acting so weird and how she was utterly broken. The love between her and Maverick was beautiful. I was addicted. We also get more suspense which was really fun and seeing Einstein in action was pretty cool as well. I love a hacker girl. Lock was everything I was hoping it would be and more.

Disclaimer ** this is the FIRST book I’ve read by this author and wow!!!!

Dude.. this book was sooo good. SERIOUSLY! Suspenseful, heartbreaking, and downright emotional! I wanted to cry.. I wanted to throw my kindle.. and then I found out the truth and I cried all over again. It was angsty but honest.. Geez you can’t help but to empathize with these characters. The things they’ve been through and seen and endured. Whew! It’s a doozy and yes you should read it. *Evil Laugh* ENJOY!!!!!!

I finally made it to Einstein and Maverick’s story: the rebel gang’s genius female hacker and one half of the deadly mysterious twin duo!!

This story is another example of love that has to wait patiently for life to get out of the way. Maverick and Einstein pine for each other for a decade before they can be together for more than just stolen moments. Even after they are together they don’t have an easy path.

I love that all the books in this series are interconnected. In the previous book I saw Einstein mysteriously pulling away from all her friends from their perspective. It was neat to see it from their side and then be able to fill in the blanks from her own point of view.

I would consider this a slow burn but the pay off is worth it. I love this series and I am immediately starting the next book in the series: Limit!

Brilliant

There isn't enough stars to rate this!
Absolutely loved this, I was gripped from the start.
Highly recommend this series, I've enjoyed all these characters but the story of Einstein & maverick has to be my favourite.
Thank you Molly once again I've been on an emotional journey that only you seem able to take me on.
Only downside we now have to wait until you release your next captivating story, I just can't get enough of your work.
