Beauty, brains, and money. Alexa has it all, and luck is her middle name. She’s the first to defend her family and friends and never needs help in return. Men fall at her feet—except the abrasive police officer Kent, who seems to despise her. But a series of strange events punctures her protective bubble, exposing her to fear and self-doubt. She doesn’t know who she should be more afraid of, her unknown pursuer or the sudden protective, softer side of the officer.

Kent has watched the women he loves the most in his life suffer unbearably, unable to save them himself, and now he refuses to get close to anybody. To most people, he’s a heartless, angry cop without a soft interior. Until one stormy day, fate teases him with a warm ray of Alexa’s sunshine, melting a piece of his icy heart. Kent believes he hates her, but when her brightness dims, his hate turns into something else. Something he refuses to let another person take away from him, especially the stranger lurking in the shadows.

All of the books in the Collide series have been fantastic, but this book blew my mind. Stunning and dramatic, with a shocking twist at the end! What an amazing way to end a series that I truly wish would never end. The only part that wasn’t shocking is the beautiful meeting of two souls, but belonging to two people who, at first glance, should never be together. Kent and Alexa are complete opposites, and everything except their souls clash the first few times they meet. She's friendly, bubbly, charmed and positive and he's . . . not. As a police officer and in his personal life, Kent has seen way too much of the dark, angry parts of life in this world, and his protective wall is layers deep. Not only does Alexa wage an assault on that wall just by being the beautiful soul she is, but she stands up to Kent and calls him on his bull. As much as he'd like to hate her, there's something about Alexa that Kent can’t resist.

It’s always a joy for me to read an early copy of a book from an author whose work I’ve come to know and trust, but this book deserves more effusive praise than I can possibly put into words. It captivated my mind from the first page and captured my heart immediately, making me fully invested in these characters and beyond eager to learn their story. Between the witty and biting banter and the action packed drama, there was never a dull moment and the rest of my world disappeared as I devoured this book.

One of the things this author does exceptionally well is cementing the emotion and deep connection of the two main characters while using external conflict as the drama and challenge to the relationship, rather than resorting to internal conflict for the main crisis of the book. For me, it’s always more rewarding and uplifting when the two characters grow closer and stronger as they fight challenges not of their own making together. And I love the picture it creates for the reader, that challenges and struggles in life can draw people closer together when they have a deep, abiding love and commitment to each other.

I also need to point out the way this author handles an insidious, horrible illness. The same thing that took Kent's mother has also stricken his sister Abby. While the author sheds light on the specifics of fighting the illness, she gives us Abby, a phenomenal, touching example of the indomitable, resilient human spirit. Abby’s journey is one of grace, beauty and courage, poignantly and compassionately told with an underpinning of hope and optimism, and it will forever alter your view of those fighting this disease and its survivors.

The books in this series all stand alone, so you can start with this book without feeling like you’re missing anything. It’s a wonderful holiday read and brings all the characters from the previous two books together, so it’s a great way to meet the other characters. Kent and Alexa may be my favorite couple, with their initial meetings being extremely entertaining and laugh-out-loud funny, but I’ll say one thing for Kent. He didn’t fight himself for long and, once he was in, he was all in. It was a reward in its own right to see the surly, broody hero learn to smile, laugh and love. This book really does have it all -- humor, drama, suspense, poignant emotion and tons of heart, and it’s sure to delight every reader!

Alexa is one strong, feisty, powerful and independant woman. Beside beauty, she also has brains. After several unsuccessfull dates, she decides she is better at being single.
But one day, she literlly runs into a broody and moody cop Kent. The sparks fly, but they are annoyed at each other. He is a total ass to her. They meet a few times after that. Their attraction is over the top, but they hate each other.
Kent didn`t have a perfect life. After his mom died, his sister is diagnosed with the same disease and he became really unhappy which is shown in his behavior.
When his sister Abby and Alexa meet, they became instant friends. Which means Kent has toospend a lot of time with Alexa. He fights his feeling toward her and one day, he finally admits it. But is it too late?
Alexa has a stalker who makes her life a living hell. Once Kent finds out about her stalker, he does everything in his powers to protect her. And in the meantime, they fall in love.

"My chest tingles as I take a deep breath, inhaling what feels like a beam of sunlight exuding from her."

Let me start my review with this: I love being part of an author's journey and through her series I've seen Kristina Beck grow as an author. Souls Collide is her best work so far and I'm curious where her journey will lead her in the future.

In the amazing standalone-series "Collide", this third book is a fantastic, suspenseful read I totally enjoyed reading!

"That was the most amazing, blood-bubbling, ovary-squealing tongue tango I've ever experienced."

Souls Collide is different than the other books in this series and at the same time it isn't. With it's well developed suspense it clearly stands out. Alexa's and Kent's story is captivating and full of twists and turns that you won't see coming. This and the fact that Alexa and Kent are great characters with funny banter will keep your eyes clued to the pages.

"If I'm Superman, then she's my kryptonite."

Each time Alexa and Kent meet I could clearly see the same ray of sunshine and blinding light that Kent saw. At their first encounter their souls collided so beautifully that my heart ached for more. And it got so much more. Both main characters are beautiful souls and a perfect match clearly made in heaven. Their hearts waited for each other and therefore this book is full of deep connections and emotions that will make you swoon.

"Sunshine is exactly what she is. She exudes warm, soothing energy that lifts my thick layer of anger and replaces it with peace."

However, be prepared to be confronted with an illness that gets to you. It will stir every possible emotion in you. The author treated this very carefully and found a sensitive way to weave it into this story.

And I love the fact that we see so much of the characters we already got to know in the first two books. But also the new "side" characters will have no chance but simply fall for. Abby is awesome and I truly wish to get at least her story as a novella. If you read this book, you'll know what I'm talking about.

"She will forever be my sunshine, even when life gets cloudy."

Souls Collide is a beautiful, touching book about two souls which are each others missing puzzle piece. With their opposite characters they complement each other perfectly. This book is spiced with the perfect amount of suspense, humor, love, drama and emotion. All a romance reader's heart longs for.

Wow! This was a great read! I thought the story was well written - plenty of romance with a hint of suspense. I didn't want to put the book down! I LOVE Alexa! Her feisty, positive personality draws you in. I love how fun she is! When she literally runs into Kent and their bodies react the way they do, you know their story is going to epic. Even though Kent is a big jerk their first few encounters, you knew it wouldn't last. 😊 And then you have Abby! Her strength and positive attitude in the face of cancer add so much to their story. All the characters are awesome! I have not read the other two books in this series and loved how I didn't feel like I was missing parts of everyone's relationships. I am, however, reading the other two immediately!

This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew me away. I love a good romance with suspense but she exceeded all my expectations. A few times this story gave me chill up my spine. This is the third book from the Collide series. They don’t need to read in order but prior characters will be in this book. I read this book first and I didn’t have any trouble following the story. I now will be starting from the beginning to meet the other characters. I could not put this book down. I fell in love with these characters right from the beginning. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing story.

Alexa is a beautiful and smart young woman that has it all. She has men at her feet at all times. Alexa love her family and friends. She runs into a very handsome cop that doesn’t give her the time of day. Alexa is determined to find out why this man hates her. She has friends in common with him and she just wants to find a middle ground. Alexa then starts getting some crazy phone calls that starts to spook her out. She is shocked when Kent steps up to protect her. They quickly realize that their souls belong together. Will Alexa and Kent find their happily ever after or is someone waiting to destroy them both?

I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, mystery, and suspense. You can’t help but to fall in love with all of these characters. Alexa is a beautiful woman that has a good head on her shoulder. She sometimes takes things for granted which can get her into trouble. Kent has had a hard life. He lost his mom when he was younger and now he needs to protect his sister. Kent has walls up due to his past so he doesn’t get hurt again. This author brings up some delicate subjects but it is in a beautiful manner. I’m now going to start this series from the beginning. I will be reading this talented author from now on.

Omg I can’t believe this series is over. It is one that I have read from the beginning and oh my am I glad I did. Each story brings you from broken to whole and this book is no exception. In Souls Collide, we finally get Alexa’s story and I feel like this author saved the best for last.

Alexa is a highly independent woman who is successful in her career but one thing she is not successful in is her love life. After another failed date, she has decided to take a break from men for a while. And of course this is when she ran into the brooding hunk of a cop.

Kent is so unhappy in life, he doesn’t understand how one family can deal with so much tragedy. But he gets up and fights every day for his sister Abby. When he runs into Alexa (literally) he is lost as to why things are brighter when she is around.

They are just learning to tolerate each other when Alexa has trouble at her door. All of Kent’s protective instincts kick in, they must decide to fight for each other or against everything they are feeling. Can they stay safe long enough to figure it out?

Two souls; one dark , one bright, are thrown together by a series of unexplained happenings. He is angry, disillusioned and closed minded and she is glowing, happy and full of life. Can love bring them together or will danger keep them apart?

Alexa brings joy to every room she enters and to each person she meets. She is smart, funny and hardworking and is tired of guys thinking she is a dumb blonde. She has a busy life, loving friends and family, and she doesn’t need a man to make her life complete. Until she crosses paths with a hot cop with a bad attitude.

Kent is a brave and dedicated police officer who is proud to serve his community and keep them safe. He has experienced much heartbreak in his life, he doesn’t trust easily and keeps his feelings close to his heart. He doesn’t have time for romance until he kept running into a beautiful woman who he couldn’t stop thinking about. Was this a sign that his life was about to change?

Can Alexa and Kent put aside their misconceptions about each other long enough to let love in?

I love all of the books in the Collide series and I think that “Souls Collide” is absolutely wonderful!! The characters and their emotions pull you into their lives as if you were there with them, experiencing all of their ups and downs. I was thrilled that the characters from the first two books played an important part in Alexa and Kent’s story. I am sad to see the series come to an end and I can’t wait to see what Kristina has in store for us next.

Souls Collide is the third book in the Collide Series by Kristina Beck. I didn’t realise going into this book that it was the third in the series- having said that though, it can be read as a standalone- but there are characters who appear in this book who have obviously had their own book previously- and they are quite intriguing and likeable also, so I have decided to go back and read the first two books and get up to date with this wonderful cast of characters and their stories. This is also my first read by Ms. Beck, and colour me impressed! I love her witty, fun and flirty writing style- she pulled me into the story right from the first page and easily held my attention the whole way through. I am an insta-fan and will absolutely be stalking her 😊, I mean following her work closely from now on!
Kent Hayes is a prickly, bitter and angry man. He carries his pain like an anvil around his shoulders, and pushes all, except the few closest to him, away. He hasn’t had a relationship in ages- as he wrote women off a long time ago. But his bad attitude and beastly manner are about to get a battering from a perky, bubbly little ray of sunshine who is able to inject some light back into his grey world. He’d really love to hate her, and really does try to do so, but finds that he just can’t fight her charm. He can’t help but be impressed that she doesn’t take his rubbish, instead she gives it right back. He may just have met his match!
Alexa Kramer has a great life- a successful job she loves, close family and good friends. She may be blonde and beautiful, but she’s far more than just a pretty face. She’s the whole package- smart, confident, independent, loyal, and generous- even if she tends to swear like a sailor. But her world is shaken when she literally collides with an incredibly HOT police officer. She’s immediately attracted, but he is so rude she’s left thinking he’s incredibly obnoxious. But still, there is something behind the prickly facade, and she really wants to be the one who gets close enough to figure it out. She also secretly loves the challenge he represents, as he’s the first man who doesn’t immediately fall at her feet. As they begin to cross paths fairly regularly, the frost between them begins to slowly thaw. But soon there are concerning developments when it appears that she has attracted a stalker. Will Kent’s protective nature kick in and keep her safe?
The story is a fantastic read- it’s sweet, sassy, suspenseful, humorous, dramatic, touching, romantic, emotive, fun, and unpredictable. It is really well written, with wonderful attention to detail and descriptive scene setting. Ms. Beck built the tension and suspense really well, and had my mind reeling with possible scenarios, trying to predict where the storyline was headed.
I can’t wait to go back and read the first two books now- and I look forward to seeing what Ms. Beck does next.

Thank you, Ms. Beck!

Souls Collide (Collide Series #3)
By Kristina Beck
Rated 5 stars

This is my first book by this author and I am not sure how I have skipped over this wonderful writer. Her writing enchanted me. I loved meeting each of her characters. Then when they all came together....BAM! Pure Poetry in Motion! She gives them life...they are not just flat characters. I care about each of them for their own reasons...well except for a few naughty ones. But they help make the story so I guess I like them for what their purpose is.

I read this fairly quickly as it enchanted me from the beginning. After about the half way mark I kinda started losing interest. I kept plugging along and it was worth it. There are some amazing characters in here who struggle with real life problems. I learned a few things I didn’t know before. Alexa-I love the whole nickname thing and the idea behind it. Kent...you made me want to hug you. But you would not like that at least at first. Abby- Dayum girl! You are inspiring!

Overall this story was right up my alley. I enjoyed reading it and will keep this author in mind when looking for a fun, sexy romance.

Ps. LOVE the cover!

There is so much to say about this fairly new author, Kristina Beck. Lives Collide, her first book was good, James & Lisa's story, serendipity! Second, Dreams Collide, was better, Gerry & Tina's story, coincidence! Have been waiting to see what happens in Souls Collide. Krissy has out done herself by adding a little suspense to Alexa's story, which is fitting to Alexa's character. The story flowed easily, nothing forced, and you can picture in your minds eye everything that happens. There is humor, respect, love, deceit, and turmoil all wrapped up in a pretty Christmas bow. Fell in love with Abby Hayes, and thrilled Krissy gave is an update on her character, saved me and her harassment and begging for Abby's story. Absolutely scored this series especially Alexa's kickass ending! Highly recommend taking a risk on this author.💋

Great romance book with a splash of suspense added. It was very vivid to have the omens appear before Alexa right before Halloween. Kent was very closed off ,and dealing with the hardships life can throw at a person. Alexa is the ray of sunshine that Kent needs to help move away the storm clouds. My favorite thing about the book is the authors way of capturing a scene and comparing to something similar so you can imagine the scene in your mind.

Souls Collide by Kristina Beck a four-star read that will strike you. This is the third novel in the Collide series and they can be read as stand alone as I started this one and was a few chapters in before I realised it was a series, I think each one focuses on a different set of characters and Alexa and Kent are sublime characters, I will eventually go back to read the first two and I have added them to my TBR pile as I like the style of writing, the way the story unfolded was natural and honest, it wasn’t rushed, if I had maybe read the series in order I would have given five stars and when I go back and re-read I will have to adjust. Kent was great, he was one thing at first but the more you read the more you know and understand him and the better and know what a true hero he was.

It is always a pleasure to fall in love with a new author’s work, especially one with the skills of Kristinia Beck. I was swallowed whole with this novel and I loved every moment of it. Souls Collide is the third book in the Collide Series, but I had no issues reading this as a standalone. I just now get the pleasure of going back and reading the other two books in the series. Especially since this is the final book in the series as well.

Alexa Kramer is living her life to the fullest. She has it all; the job, the best friends, a loving and supportive family, and she has the beauty and brains to boot. Kent Hayes, not so much. He lives his life day to day doing what is necessary and hiding his emotional pain. It is because of this that he is mean and off putting. Both of their worlds are about to change when they literally ‘collide’ with one another.

I could not get enough of this story. The emotions I felt were all over the place. One moment I could be on the verge of tears and the next I could be giggling. Beck really has a talent for balancing the emotions so that it doesn't get to be too overwhelming. There is some topics of disease that gets brought in and this is dealt with in such a way. I thought it was a perfect handle of the situation. It made it that raw emotion without getting to be too much. The only negative I could come up for this book would be that it ended. So now I am off to grab the other two in the series. Thank you for the fantastic read Ms. Beck.

I've read all the books in the Collide series, and each one just gets better and better! In Souls Collide, the author has brought the story to life with well-developed characters who each have their own weaknesses and strengths, who battle on despite the odds, and who work their way into your heart.

We meet characters from the other books again, but this time the story focuses on Kent and Alexa. He's a surly cop who has had to deal with more tragedy in his life than most, she's a feisty, strong-willed woman who is determined to reach inside his soul.

The author also touches on the topic of cancer, but she does it in such a sensitive way that makes you appreciate the courage and strength of the families hit by this terrible disease. Abby is a wonderful character, whose optimism and bravery shine out of the pages of the book, and you follow her journey while feeling like you've made a new friend.

These books always have a gritty story line, and this one keeps you turning the pages to the end. A great read that I highly recommend.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book. Alexa is a strong independent woman. Alexa while out with her friends one night runs into this guy, they kiss not expecting anything else to happen like a dare kiss me deal. Alexa comes to find out later this man is a police officer and his name is Kent. Kent has had family issues and swears off all woman. He thinks if he gets close that something bad will happen to them. I totally enjoyed this story. When Alexa started getting threats and bad things happening, she thinks its one of her past run-ins with male's she has some funky names for. I was very shocked in the end to find out who was behind all the threats and bad things. I loved that this story had a happy ending. I know I probably should of read the first two books first, but I will get to them. Thank you Kristina for a romantic, suspense, heart-wrenching, funny, amazing, and heart touching book. It is reality that happens in real life and it felt like you were there with all of them.

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed her style of writing and characters. This story is easy flowing and engaging. This is a story about Alexa and Kent. Alexa is a woman who seems to have it all together until some events happen that make her second guess herself and even make her fearful. Kent is an angry cop until the day he meets her. Will she be able to melt his heart or will the shadows win out? Great, strong characters with great chemistry! I highly recommend this book.

I loved this book! What a great way to end the series. This book has everything I love all rolled up into one read. A grumpy hot cop that falls for the girl he thinks he hates while saving her from a stalker. Alexa and Kent are opposites that don't seem to be meant for each other but as you read, you want them to give in to their attraction so bad even if he is a bit of jerk to her at first. I loved loved the depth of each character and well written the story was. A great read that everyone should have on their TBR list.

Kristina Beck has come into her own with the third installment of the Collide Series. It’s the story of a disillusioned cop and independent, vibrant woman. In series’ style, Alexa and Kent have several chance encounters before falling for one another before it’s revealed that someone is out to get Alexa. The suspense storyline keeps the pages turning to find out who Alexa’s stalker is.

I have had the pleasure of reading all of Kristina’s books. This one really blew me away. She has a way of pulling you in so you feel like you are right there with the characters. You experience their love, passion and heartache. The suspense will have you in the edge of your seat. You won’t stop until you have finished the book. This can be read as a stand alone but you will want the full experience with this series. So start at the beginning with Lives Collide. You won’t regret it. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

I did enjoy this book. I found the characters have depth and their story was so sweet. Alexa is the beautiful bombshell and Kent is the grumpy police officer with a rough past. I also loved Abby who is Kent's sister. They mystery that this book had was fun to try and figure out. The only thing about this book was how fast the romance is. Going from literally despising each other to suddenly thinking the world of each other was a bit unrealistic, but I did appreciate the way they came together and I am glad Kent literally got the stick out of his ass. lol. I have never read anything by Kristina Beck, but now I want to see what the rest of her are all about! <3

Souls Collide: Collide Series Book 3 by Kristina Beck is a fantastic and touching story that
will hold you captivated and enthralled. It captivated both my heart and soul right from the
moment two beautiful souls met and boy did they certainly collide. I was fully invested in
these wonderful characters and their stories and loved, loved, loved their witty banter. There is a lot of emotions in this story and I for one felt every one of them right along with them from overwhelming joy to moments of sorrow and horror. There is never a dull moment and there is plenty, plenty of drama.
Alexa is strong, sassy and full of charm and loves those close to her passionately. Kent angry and has built solid walls of protection due to loss and a disease that has changed his life. Somehow the charming and beautiful soul, Alexa calls to him and maybe, just maybe she will be the one who can heal him.
This story has it all. Passion and drama, humor and suspense, darkness and light, compassion and healing and is a must read!

Another great book in the intertwining Souls Collide series. Kristina Beck has proven that she has a talent for leading the reader into a suspenseful story filled with humor, drama, angst, compassion and of course, love.

This book features Alexa, the quirky, successful and thoughtful sister that picked James off the ground in book 1. She has a personality that shines brightly and draws people towards her light. That might be why she leaves in her wake a trail of broken hearts of all the many guys that didn't make it to the second date with her. She gives them silly names so her friends can keep track, pretty funny.

So now she meets a gorgeous, sexy guy, a bartender, she thinks, who they share common friends with but he's an arrogant ass, so why is she attracted to him anyway?

Kent meets perhaps the perkiest woman he's ever met while moonlighting from his real profession, police officer. Why is she so happy? Annoying is what she is, but gives back his every rude taunt with a zinger of her own. Why does he find that so appealing when he can't stand being around her!

They keep crossing paths..at the hospital where his sister is fighting the battle against breast cancer, where Alexa is a pharmaceutical rep, their mutual acquaintances and at the coffee house they both go to. Fate is trying to tell them something but will they overcome their supposed dislike for each other when it seems that there is an attraction going on that might be something more?

This book handles Kent's sister Abby's breast cancer in such a beautiful, powerfully poignantl way and it showcases just how wrong Alexa was about Kent. He adores his sister and would do anything to see her well again. The dark cloud hanging over him is just a side effect of what it's like for him to feel so helpless because under that dark veil is a true sweetheart with a loving heart that needs someone or something to set it free again.

Will light and dark complete the circle in this twisty, mysteriously suspenseful, slow burn of a story of hope, love and destiny. The humor and laughs are off the charts, the tender moments are heartfelt and sweet. The lead up to the steamy ones are sexy and make you want more. Read this wonderful story, get all the feels and wait for the rollercoaster twists at the end!

Souls Collide by Kristina Beck is the third book in her Collide Series and this one just keeps getting better and better. This suspenseful romance follows the story of Alexa and Kent, that just pulls you in from the first page and you won’t be able to get enough of these two. Alexa is a caring, compassionate woman who is fiercely independent, and yet these is something that draws her to her neighbor Kent. He doesn’t seem to show any emotion or even seem to notice that she is a woman by any means and yet she just can’t stay away. Never one to mince her words, Alexa keeps being her indelibly honest personality until she gets under his skin. Kent has spent his life being a police officer, at the expense of every woman in his life, he can’t give up his love of defending the law and so he stays away from romantic entanglements to spare them from his livelihood. As a man who is barely existing, he comes off as unsympathetic and even churlish at times. Then Alexa walks in the room. The sparks that fly between these two from that first meeting will singe the pages. Conflict is how Kent attempts to keep Alexa at bay, and yet the more time they spend together the more that he finds himself wanting to protect her and keep her all to himself. Can these two find a way to put down their swords and give into the passion that everyone else can see between them? Or will the hurt of their pasts keep them from having the romance of a lifetime? Beck is anew to me author, and I am so happy that I picked up this book. Once I realized that it was part of a series, I did gobble up the other two books in this series. I highly recommend that you read this series in order, even though each book can stand on its own merits. If you are looking to get swept away by great characters and an author who will capture your heart than this is one that you need to get today! I hope that Beck keeps writing because I can’t wait to see what she brings to her readers next.

Souls Collide: Collide Series Book 3
By: Kristina Beck
5 out of 5 stars

The story Souls Collide: Collide Series Book 3 by Kristina Beck is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It has the right amount of romance and suspense that makes it a story that I had a hard time putting down until I finished it. It had me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next and also falling in love with the characters of Alexa and Kent. Alexa is a woman who is beautiful, intelligent, and independent. She is also caring and compassionate. I love that she doesn’t shy away from saying what she thinks. One person who she doesn’t mince words with or about is Kent. Kent is a police officer that doesn’t show his emotions. He comes off as unsympathetic at times and even his friends tell him his attitude is poor. Then he meets Alexa. When these two first meet the sparks fly. Those sparks at first show conflict between them. Then something begins to change. Kent becomes protective of Alexa. Even more so when a stranger begins lurking around her. When they kiss there is a passion that is undeniable. What does the future hold for Kent and Alexa? Will these two find themselves in a relationship or will their differing views keep them apart? Will Alexa’s unknown pursuer be caught? Read this book to find out. I loved reading about Alexa and Kent. There is a push and pull going on between them and there are times when their conversations had me with a smile on my face. They are characters that I wanted to find happiness. There are also other additional characters who I enjoyed reading about. Both the part that they play in the story and also their interactions with Kent and Alexa. If you love romance with some mystery and suspense this is the book for you. I would highly recommend reading it.
