Keeping up with the Kellers is no easy feat, but each family member must play their part. So when her brother Jason trades his Stanford scholarship for a job as a measly ranch hand, Payton Keller must do what’s best for her high-profile Hollywood family. Just before leaving The Golden State, Payton receives undeniable evidence that her also famous fiancé is cheating, leaving her with two messes to clean up. Distraught, Payton forces her failing love to the back burner and takes the flight to Montana. There, she insists that the ranch owner—some too-handsome-for-his-own-good cowboy who doesn’t even have the decency to get fully clothed before answering a door—fire her brother. The stubborn brute tells Payton to butt out and mind her own business. Something she has no intention of doing.
Luke Branson is glad he hired Jason Keller despite his reservations. The kid is a hard worker, and nothing like the spoiled, entitled teen the tabloids make him out to be. But when Jason’s glamor-girl sister shows up one night making demands, regret finally surfaces. Beauty might get Payton far in her walk of fame, but it would do her no good here. Still, Luke doesn’t have the heart to send her packing in the dead of night, so he allows her to stay hoping she and her brother can make amends. What Luke doesn’t expect is the magnetic connection he feels toward her.
After officially breaking things off with her cheating fiancé, Payton gives into a weak moment and explores the chemistry she feels with Luke. She’s shocked to find the connection is better than anything she’s known. The country lifestyle, free of Hollywood demands, is too. But has Payton’s journey to save her brother led her to a life she’s meant to live, or merely given her a taste of something she’ll never have?
USA Today Bestselling author Kimberly Krey is known as the Queen of Steamy Clean Romance. She's a fervent lover of God, family, and cheese platters, as well as the ultimate hater of laundry. Her readers count on faith-filled romance novels that stay clean without losing the steam.
Sparks are flying from the very beginning to the very end of this book. Who can resist a handsome cowboy? Not Peyton! There's lots of yummy kissing and even baby chicks! This was a fun, romantic diversion today.
Super cute, clean romance. In this story, opposites attract as the rich Hollywood business woman flies out to try to convince her brother to leave the ranch where he’s been working in order to save face for her family’s reputation. But her brother is happy doing the work he’s been doing and being away from the smothering demands of his high-profile family. Payton soon realizes that the country has its charms, including a certain cowboy rancher and she’s starting to find excuses to extend her stay. Will family, work, and a certain cheating fiancé draw her back to Hollywood, or will Payton decide “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em?” This was a fun, light read and totally enjoyable. I recommend it.
Maintaining the family's image and keeping them together has always been Payton's top priority, so when her brother goes awol on a farm for the summer, she goes after him to make sure he comes back in time for the fall semester. The only problem is Jason Keller is perfectly content where he is and has no desire to follow in his fathers footsteps. This is Payton's journey of being betrayed and finding out what truly makes her happy in life. I loved the story! It moved at a good pace and the characters were enjoyable. I loved the chemistry and family dynamics - definitely going back to read the first two books in the series!
This is a good clean romance. There was chemistry between Payton and Luke from the first meeting. Payton's family left scars on her and Luke's early love did also. They were able to heal and go forward for their HEA. This is my first Kimberly Krey read but will not be my last. Must read all the Unlikely Cowgirl series.
Brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed this book. Oh for the love of a cowboy😍😍 Found it hard to put down, just wanted to keep going until the end, then I wanted more😍😍😍
Two people from totally different world's clash the moment they met but there was also sparks flying between them. Can it really be true that opposites attract?
👍👍👍👍 thank you for a great series i enjoy the book. It usually takes me a t least a month to finish a book. Just wondering what happened to Jason and Tayory???? I would love 💘too read about both of them. Did they fine love? Thanks again I.
So sometimes, as authors, our personal experiences get fused into the pages of our fiction. And in a way, I saw that happening with This Cowboy's a Keeper. Payton Keller feels like she's the only glue keeping her family structure together, and the weight of those crumbling pieces becomes too much to bear. But in letting go, Payton discovers something both shocking and refreshing: she was never in control in the first place. (Hallelujah!) And this is when she's really set free. Free enough to dive into the romance waters with the seriously handsome Luke Branson. I love the way Payton is able to discover life in a different setting. Not just the difference between busy Hollywood and laid-back Montana living, but also the contrast of expectations, support, and unconditional love. I really hope you'll enjoy this fun romance, the final (at least for now) in my Unlikely Cowgirl Series.
Cute fast read. Very clean romance. At first the heroine got on my nerves as I felt she was to old to think she had to fix everything. However, I liked that she was open to change and we did see growth.
This is the romance between high society Peyton & cowboy Lucas. At first I thought Peyton was really snobbish & only considered about statics. You soon come to realize that's not who she really is. Opposite's really do attract each other in this book. The romance in this story was sweet & clean.
Another great book in the series on wealthy women and their idea of how to live their lives and find excitement without people knowing that they have wealth. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
I loved the surprise of changing a life into something that was a dream, but didn’t seem able to become a reality. Strength, determination, and love can make the impossible become possible. A good cozy read by hurricane lamps and my kindle during a tropical storm... this is the life 🥰
Payton has always tried to make it keep things perfect and her brother took at summer to work at a ranch in Montana and wasn't planning on coming back & following their parents demands. Luke is running his ranch liked having Jason working for him. But the two turn things around.
This was a little different story but I really enjoyed how the author brought to completely two different life style people together and make it funny in many ways. Great story.
A good ranch story that shows how a girl learned to let other adults make decisions for themselves. It also shows how a guy healed from a friend's attempted suicide.
