He was the only one for me. When I close my eyes I still see the way he looked at me all those years ago. The way it felt to have someone so amazing in my life especially after my parents abandoned me. The bond that only a childhood friend could understand. He was my balance and never let me fall But I lied to him… She was my better half. I remember the fear she hid under her smile when I met her. There were so many adventures that we lived a hundred lifetimes in our minds. She was the reason I got up in the morning. She was my gravity and kept me grounded. But then she lied… He kept my heart when I broke his. I was never going to see him again. He would always hate me, even if he knew the truth. It would be better this way. If only he hadn’t kept my heart. She threw my heart away when I wanted her to have it the most. She ruined every memory that we made with a simple sentence. My life would be better without her. If only she hadn’t kept my heart. At forty thousand feet the Earth shifted, and planets aligned. My world came into focus and for once I was no longer unsteady and ready to fall. As the wings of the plane drifted over the icy cold ocean my heart warmed when I saw him. Once I saw his eyes and the way he was looking at me I knew… He was the balance I always needed ...And she was mine. **There is adult content, language, and violence in the book.
Best-selling and award-winning author Elizabeth York has been writing for so long she has forgotten how old she is. Accustomed to southern climate she likes drinking her sweet tea on the porch with her laptop in hand.
In 2015, she was named Author of the Year and was accepted into the Romance Writers of America. By 2018, she had won a Literary Titan for her book entitled "Unsteady" and was branching out into multiple genres.
Married to the military and a mother to three this woman knows how to multitask. She can handle anything you throw at her but enjoys a quiet night with her family or an open book in her hands. Join her journey and see where she will take you next.
I found this to be a heartbreaking story for the most part, I think I had a lump in my throat for at least 3 1/4 of it. It is highly emotional but it is also deep and has several twists and turns, the plot is far more complex than you think at the beginning. Not all the characters are who they appear to be either as becomes more clear as you move through the book, in fact I almost got whiplash at how fast some of them seemed to change. Logan, I could have throttled a few times with his lack of any trust, despite proof of his misunderstandings, I felt he should have learnt from that lesson. London on the other hand had suffered so much for most of her life trying to protect all those she loved, with very little support or love back, she never once doubted Logan and her love for him had stayed true. Anything she did choices wise was ultimately for him and to keep him safe. The whole book tugged at my heartstrings, I often found I had crossed my fingers and even prayed at least once. I feel the saying "Love Is A Battleground" is more than fitting for the story, it was a fight from start to finish for love to win. Though this is a love story there is far more to the plot than romance, there is betrayal, violence and undercover secrets as well as blackmail to keep you focussed and enjoying the read. So much more than you can imagine when you pick this up and start the first chapter, so if you decide to buy this book and read it, buckle up for it is one hell of a ride and worthy of more than five stars. Fantastic.
5 Apples! Review by Lisa Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog
Unsteady by Elizabeth York is one of those books that has everything. From growing up to becoming adults; love; family; mafia touches to the influence of a political figure; even a little bit of mystery. There is just so much about this book to love. All the little aspects that all bloom and/or explode at different points during the story. To the dual point of views that just completes this story.
Even though this story is a little over 300 pages, it feels more like 10 pages and its over. The story moves so smoothly that it just keeps you hooked. I don't want to give anything away, but I just am amazed how there is just so much in this story and how well Ms. York put it all together. The parts when your heart just breaks for them to the swoon worthy moments to the life lesson given. Just amazing.
Oh did I mention you get to revist old favorites, Brooklyn and Kate!!
People come and go out of our lives, but when Logan and London meet at a young age, they have this immediate connection together. Like gravity is pulling them towards each other. But when London lies to Logan and disappears, life can get complicated when your so unsteady.
But on a chance flight, gravity still has a way pulling them together. Can they survive the storm brewing in what we call life? Can secrets be forgiven? Can they gain their balance? You just really have to read this book.
Lying gets you nowhere and nothing but a broken heart and a torn apart soul. Logan always knew that London was going to be his. London was always scared to trust.
Fast forward years later. One city, two people and a world of distance until one day, the past comes back to haunt them both.
There's a mystery brewing and you don't quite know what it is until the last few chapters of this book. Some characters I loved. Some I wanted to throttle. Most importantly I couldn't stop caring about the love story between Logan and London.
Personally, I think this is some of Elizabeth's best work to date. The story line was intriguing and always made me go "what next! What next!" You'll want to read this cover to cover just like I have. Some of your favorite Elizabeth York characters return and its always fun to catch up with old friends ;) Some new friends are made as well as new enemies. This was another awesome read that I want to re-read over and over again. Make sure to eat your apples when reading ;)
I've been reading so many books this year that it's almost impossible to keep up but I try so hard and I can't give up. There are days that I say I'm gonna slow down but who am I kidding? I don't really want to. I've only read one book from this author but let me tell you that it was enough to make me a greedy girl. Elizabeth York's writing is that intense and addicting. Her words can wake up feelings and turn you into a mess. Give her a chance and find out for yourself. Unsteady is her latest release and tells the stories of Logan and London. These two found each other when no-one was around. When you don't have a family it's normal to seek love and comfort in true friends and these two are it for each other until one lie tear everything apart. Years had passed and now they are near each other again but will it be the same? Can they pick up where they left off? Will it be the same? Let me just say that I'm a mess, but don't see it as a bad thing because it's not. The plot is beautiful, super engaging and intense, full of emotions. It's was amazing the way the story progressed because you didn't know what would happen next. The secrets were killing me and that was super addictive. This story presented us with love, second chances, mystery as well as lies, deceive and so much more. The chemistry between these two were hot as hell. Dayum... Let's talk about some stubborn people... Overall I loved it so much and I can't wait for what will come next. Because there will be more right Elizabeth? Gosh I hope so. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Apples to Oranges had nothing on the two main characters who couldn't be more perfect for each other. London and Logan were both young and abandoned when they met. Both yearning for a family they didn't have until they found each other. In their friendship, they found family.
In this book, I felt anger, sadness, hate, but I also felt love, compassion, happiness, and even my own yearning to want to help them. I have to admit that it has been a while since a book both had me in love and in tears, but this one did it. I was crying tears into apple buckets.
Ada is still the most amazing secondary character. I want to meet her in real life just to hang out. Seeing Brooklyn and Kate all grown up and outside their books was fun as they matured and settled into their lives. Mark is as always delicious, but he has nothing on Logan. Sister Katherine, however, always made me wonder if she put trackers into them as kids cause they were always gone. I loved seeing the Montgomery family finally get some closure from all parties. And then the sex; SOMEONE BRING ME A FAN and put it under my desk because this book had a couple of scenes that made me blush.
This author has never failed to surprise me with her writing. This book is unlike any of her others, and to be honest I don't really like books that flash from past to present because they are confusing, but this one wasn't. I was right there with the characters every step of the way and loved every minute.
Elizabeth York has brought book after book of romantic stories to make you swoon, that captivate you with suspense, that keep you locked into the story, and this one is no different. I have to admit I went in with doubts and came out a fangirl. For me, this book is five stars because it is the action-packed swoon-worthy romantic story of the year.
4 emotional stars!! This book was exactly what I needed. I was an emotional mess when I finished.
This is a book of second chances, first loves, and past regrets.
“...Together you two are stable and invincible. Apart you are both unsteady and feeble.”
Wow! First of all, I loved these characters. I think London and Logan are just perfect with their flaws and all. I love all the extra characters as well. My only issue may be that I didn’t know some like I wanted and when they entered story I was confused as not sure if maybe I missed something. The secondary characters are just as interesting as the main ones. I will say I LOVE Sister Katherine and Brooklyn!!!
I don’t want to run down the story for you because the story has so many twists and turns and I think it’s best to go in blind. I didn’t even re-read blurb before I read and I am so glad I didn’t. It twisted me all up and took me on this crazy journey. I enjoyed the authors writing style and literally could not put the book down. Also, I just want to say this cover is so pretty!!!
I think my only issues were that of confusion. Some things kind of dropped out of nowhere and then I had to back peddle a little. But this book was so good otherwise that I can definitely get right past that. Once you got through all that you made some definite connections. I wish this was a series and we could touch base with all these characters.
This was a great story of love, second chances, past regrets, secrets, lies, truths, mystery, fear, fight, sexual tension and so much more....
**I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**
Filled with angst and lots of Back story. I really wanted to love this book but I struggled to read it. I wasn’t overly fond of the heroine, I understand her need to protect others and the constant lies ... but my god it was so hard. I can honestly say I didn’t like the lead male either, I understand he was emotionally cold due to the pain of his initial heart break ( caused by the heroin ) but there were a number of times I found him most disagreeable. The hurtful things he said out of supposed pain ( just felt spiteful and point scoring ) did not help and the fact that after one no show from the ‘love of his life’ made him turn to his neighbour in a sexual manner... UH HUH.. BIG NO NO.
Now I love a long book, but this book felt really long and drawn out. I found the story meandering with the multiple situations and I also found myself eyerolling at those situations in disbelief.

Unsteady by Elizabeth York is a wonderful second chances/contemporary romance. It is well written, with depth to the storyline, and lots of emotion. I could feel and ‘see’ the heart and soul that Ms. York has infused into this story, which made the experience all the more memorable. The characters are complex, but beautifully developed ‘people’ who took me on a journey that I didn’t want to leave. There were times that they frustrated me, and I really wanted to shake some sense into them in those moments- but that’s only because I had emotionally connected to them and their story. London and Logan have a history, with shared experiences and memories, but they also contain painful reminders of broken hearts. What happens when lies and trust issues get in the way of finding happiness? How could they have gone from being so close, to years later having lived apart for so long. What happened to break them apart? What happens when they meet again after all that time? Can they overcome the secrets and lies? What does the future hold for them? Trying to condense this story into a short and concise review really can’t convey how great this story really is. If you love second chances, romance, emotion, endearing characters, and a story that will tear your heart out and then stitch it back together again- then this is definitely the book for you. I wonder what Ms. York has in store for us next?
UNSTEADY is a book that is told in dual POV in present time with flashbacks to the past. Because both main characters have a name that starts with L, it took me a few pages to settle in.
This book really has it all. Mystery, suspense, sex and romance. It's first love on steroids.
The female protagonist is the sister from the "Brooklyn Series". There are references to that series but I don't think it is enough to make anything confusing. There is a character named "Sister Katherine" who I would love to know a little more about. Her analogy of love using apples and a bucket was amazing.
At times the book dragged a little because there was just so much going on, but it was absolutely worth pushing through.
I really enjoyed this book. This was my first book by Elizabeth York and I cannot wait to read more. There was a mystery I couldn't quite put my finger on till the last few chapters. I loved the love story Logan and London. There was a few characters that I loved and a few I wanted to punch. I could not put this book down, I had to know what was going t0 happen next. I stayed up way past bed time to finish this. Everyone will want to read this book. This is a must read!!!!
Liz can still rip your feelings even after you think there are no more to rip. Elizabeth York has a talent for creating characters that grasp you and never let go. She has once again scored with Unsteady. Finding two characters that have been through so much at a young age who lose each other and in many ways their selves only to slowly find their way back. I love a great second chance story and York has created just that. While Unsteady is a standalone book you will be happy to find many of the characters you loved from her Brooklyn series (if you haven't read that series this will make you want to know them more). I always get excited to see what dark and light places York's mind can go. She has yet to let this blogger/reviewer down.
York has done such an impressive job on telling a story that will hit all of your emotions. She has London, a woman who is living a lie. A woman who is trying so hard to suppress everything she really wants and Logan a man who is hotter than hot and has shut himself down to anyone who might make him feel. Their time together, in the past, was ripped away from them. Will they be able to find and hold on to their future? This review was originally posted on My Blissful Books
“Why would you want to marry me? I asked as he breathlessly walked over to me?
“We’re just kids. You can’t possibly think I’m the girl you will wind up with. How can you think that?” He placed his hands on either side of my neck and kissed me again. I liked his kisses, not only did I feel like a grown –up, but my heart fluttered, and my lips felt him even after he let me go. This time I kissed him back until he pulled away and stared into my eyes with a seriousness I hadn’t seen before.
“Because Londi, from the moment I saw you I always knew you were mine.”
This was my first time reading anything by Elizabeth York. I must say it was a great book for me to start out with from her. I had a few moments here and there where I was ‘unsteady’ about my feelings on her writing style. As I finished the novel however, it made sense where she was trying to build the drama to the culminating end. I just felt as if it could have been done a little more quickly, so to speak. That is the only reason I have gone with four stars. I overall did enjoy the storyline and the way it unfolded eventually.
This was the difficult and long journey love story of Logan and London (Londi). These two have the connection you see amongst most of the greats love story couples, and the ability to be each other’s everything from the first moment they meet. This is complicated by many things, mostly London related. London as a character drove me bananas for the most part. I kind of wanted to shout “Wake UP!” several times at her. I was so happy that she eventually came to a few realizations by the end of the book and as a character had developed tremendously. Ultimately these two face the difficulties of secrets and lies. It destroys the love they had at the beginning, will it be destroyed more when the details are unfolded? Is it possible for them to ever have that happily ever after they so desire?
“I will always have you in my heart as my first love, but I can’t give you anything else. Love doesn’t fight for us, it’s just a feeling but we fight like hell for those we want to share it with. I lost my fight six years ago when you walked away. And I don’t want it back. I don’t want to be hurt, and I am not doing to do anything that would cause you pain either, Take care of yourself Londi.”
Just like that he was gone from my life once again. Nothing I said, nothing I felt, and nothing I did mattered anymore. I always thought an apology would make a difference, but it didn’t. I always thought the truth would make it better, but instead I would go to my grave with the real story why I left.
“Then he said the words I thought I’d never hear. “I love you London, but I don’t think this is going to work between us.”
I feel as if I can’t give away too much more than this without ruining the book. I know I will be looking for more reads by Elizabeth York.
Be prepared for a fast paced, action packed story! This is my first book by Elizabeth York, but it certainly won't be my last! This story had me caught up in a whirlwind of emotions and I couldn't put it down! The characters are true to life and I found that one moment I would hate someone, but the next I would love them! There is so much happening in this story! Suspense, mystery, love, romance, lying, secrets and more are packed into this novel. I really enjoyed the way that the book would go back and forth between Logan and London's childhood and present. It gives a glimpse of what happened when they met and tells the story of the twelve years they grew up together. It jumps to 6 years later when they meet again in present times. When London walked out of Logan's life right after her 18th birthday, it devastated him! He made a one eighty and was not the same person he was. He had trust issues and tried to runaway from the devastation London had caused. London kept the reason she left a secret and it almost killed her in the process. Although they were no longer together, they both fulfilled their childhood dreams with their careers. Logan always wanted to fly and travel. He became a pilot and that is where he is truly happy. It was the only place he was able to escape his broken heart and truly be free. London became a CIA agent. She always wanted to be a linguist and save the world from bad people. She was too trusting, but felt like she was doing good by helping take down bad guys. The family element in this story is just another layer that adds to this book. Both London and Logan grew up in London at a Catholic boarding school. Their families put them there when they were right while they stayed in the states. Their families thought that this would be the best for their children. Both of their fathers felt that their children would have the best opportunity to become who they needed to be by sending them off. London's family felt that she was kind and naive and wouldn't survive in the mafia house she was in. Logan's dad was devastated after the death of his wife and mother of Logan, he thought taking him to the boarding school would give him the love and support that he couldn't get at home anymore. The first day Logan and London met, they were instant best friends. Growing up, they would sneak out and spend every available moment together. They resented their families and relied on each other.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good story with many layers. The secrets, betrayal, mystery, romance, suspense, and love make this story unique and well written. Be prepared to loose yourself while reading this book. You won't be able to put it down! These characters will stay with the reader long after the story is read.
Young love is meant to be and sometimes it was meant to be just that; however, when you have two soul mates that make a half a whole it is hard to keep it whole when it was left broken into two while trying to hold onto the memories. Fate brought them together and then fate threw them together in the air at a time when they need to be no longer Unsteady and to release all the secrets and sadness that made up their story. This is an emotional story, full of misunderstandings and you see how complex these characters are and see that not everything in your life including people are who they were. Loved the Nun! That is all I will say on this character. London and Logan were each other’s support system in boarding school, but they were also soul mates that the world decided they have other plans for these two. You will see one is the protector and the other needs a lesson in life. Logan while you love him you also want to smack him and airline girl. Just saying she needed to be thrown from a plane. The mystery surrounding these two was heartbreaking and you must find out for yourself if the secrets, betrayal and Unsteadiness will make you balanced or if you need to go back for more V8 juice to stand up straight. Brooklyn and Kate appearances if you have read the other books by this author was a bonus for us who missed these awesome characters. You start seeing the similarities between Brooklyn and London and continue to see that no matter your background and story family is family and that you should stop at nothing to protect them. This story will hook you from beginning to end and I hope to see more on this set of characters in future reads by this author.
How is this the first book I have read by this author!?! This book has all the feels. Anger, love, heartache, hope, laughter, mystery, intrigue.
Logan and London are the very best of friends while growing up in a boarding school as children. Both were abandoned by their families or so they thought. This is where the mystery comes in. There is evil at work in this story which adds to the twisting plot of this story. When Logan and London are adults, fate brings them together, but does it even matter anymore? Sister Katherine, from the boarding school is a mystery herself. She is the biggest mystery to me! Her relationship with London’s father, the mob boss, is still a mystery. They must have a story that I missed.
Logan and London let fear and anger guide them for many years. Being young and unsure of herself causes many problems for London. Having what seems to be an uncaring father further causes London problems and causes her to fiercely protect the ones she loves.
I really enjoyed this story. I love when an author writes a flashback where the reader can actually tell it’s a flashback. This story leaves me with questions about London’s sister, Brooklyn and Logan’s neighbor friend Lisa. I loved the main characters, the secondary characters and even the evil ones! Recommended for the over 18 reader.
Unsteady is a second chance romance set in the same world Elizabeth York created with the Water Wishes and the Brooklyn books; London, the female lead in this book is actually Brooklyn's sister.
London, a CIA agent and Logan, an airline pilot, knew each other as children and into their teens when they were both sent away to boarding school in London. Events led to them being separated and not seeing each other again until six years later when London happens to be on the flight Logan is piloting. He's still mad at her for their separation, she doesn't know why she is on the flight in the first place, but they both know the feelings are still there. Will Logan forgive London for the way they parted as teenagers? Will London ever tell him the real reason she left? Will the pair of them even have a chance at love again when a CIA enemy sets his sights on London and everyone she loves?
I really enjoyed this book. It was nice to see the old Brooklyn series gang, and London fits into the group perfectly. Lots of drama, some action, lots of secrets being revealed and some sexy times thrown in too. Elizabeth York has once again written a very enjoyable read and I give Unsteady 4.5 stars.
This book is absolute perfection. This book is bae. I completely one hundred percent loved this book. The only thing negative I have to say is that sometimes Elizabeth York would use big words when needing to repeat the same idea in a sentence. I would need to look them up and that bothered me.
Logan and London are meant to be together. I know they are fictional but they are just perfect. So perfect that if they were real, I'd probably puke from how perfect they are.
This second chance romance is just filled with passion. Elizabeth York did a fantastic job of really conveying the emotions of these characters. There were a few times that I actually teared up. I just wanted these two to work out so badly. I wanted to reach inside the book and take these characters in my hands like they were Barbie dolls and make them kiss. "Now, kiss!"
Man, oh man, I just loved this book. Definitely one of my favorites for the year and at some point it will grace my shelf with all my other favorites.
Unsteady by Elizabeth York is one emotional story that was heartbreaking and one comlex storyline that keeps you on your toes. There are so many twists and turns throughout this journey of a love that is fated but does not always goes smoothly. There is just so much to love about this story, faith and love, heartache and loss, lies and secrets and that is only the beginning. This story is told in dual points of view, which I love because you get to understand so much more and Elizabeth did a great job. This book is a little different to what she normally writes but she did a wonderful job of setting the scene. There is so much depth to the characters and their stories felt real and believable, some more raw than others and some I sometimes wanted to smack and other times I wanted to either wrap my arms around or laugh along with. Unsteady is a second chance romance story that will break you down and build you back up. This is a must read and I look forward to see what Elizabeth comes up with next.
Unsteady by Elizabeth York is a contemporary romance novel and one that I just couldn’t put down. Following the story of Logan and London, who parted ways years ago because of anger and betrayal, or so they thought. Logan needed to understand why London left, why she left she couldn’t come to him, why leaving seemed like the only option. When he finds that she is coming back to town, Logan is willing to do whatever it takes to get the answers he wants, no needs to finally move on. Coming together again, the feeling of hurt is still there but underneath that, a romance that couldn’t die if it wanted to. These two, once they found each other again, couldn’t get enough of each other. Seeing these two characters have to work through their past in order to get to a better future, was beautiful. This was definitely an emotional read that spans several years and shows what a real relationship is like. This read is an emotional rollercoaster, but York makes this relationship one that is easy to fall into. York is a newer to me author, but I am so happy that I picked this one up. York has a way of showing characters and storyline the best light and pulling her readers into the stories that she weaves in the best possible way. If you are looking for an amazing story.
“You’ll always be my apple even if it’s not my basket you’re in.”
Unsteady by Elizabeth York is an emotional romance read from start to finish. Logan and London’s relationship is so unique, I’ve never read anything like it. From the very beginning I knew I was in for an emotional roller coaster ride, I ended up feeling all kinds of emotions, from sadness, shock, anger, confusion and happiness. Not surprising I even shed quite a few tears. This storyline is action-packed, dark and twisted, there were so many twist and turns that I never saw coming which certainly made it entertaining. I loved how well Elizabeth was able to write about the love between Logan and London, it felt so real!
I will admit that there were a few times where I was a bit confused, it felt like I was missing information in order to piece it all together, however, this didn’t take away from my reading experience. This was my first book by Elizabeth York, but it certainly won’t be my last, I look forward to reading Brooklyn’s story next. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next romance read!
Elizabeth York's Unsteady is contemporary romantic suspense. I really enjoyed the way the author laid out the story giving pieces of history as the story progresses. This story was an emotional back and forth, push and shove story that will absolutely pull at every emotional tie while leaving a suspenseful dynamic in the process. Logan and London were so well written within this novel and I felt their struggles, their strengths, their indecisiveness, and their triumphs as I read them. The characters were brilliantly done without leaving out any needed details - it truly was a great combination provided within this story. By the time I finished the story, I applauded the author as this story couldn't have come together any better! Amazing and a must read!!
”You’ll always be my apple even if it’s not my basket you’re in.”
A fast paced, contemporary, second chances, romance read mixed with a little bit of suspense that kept me turning the pages.
I really enjoyed reading Logan and London’s story. I felt the plot flowed, the concept of switching between past and present, told through dual POV is one I like. Mixed with a little suspense added to the plot. I thought the characters were well developed, likeable and you could relate to them.
Elizabeth York is a new author to me and Unsteady is my first book by her but certainly won’t be my last.
I would recommend to readers who enjoy second chance romances.

I loved everything about this book.. London and Logan met when they were both left by there family's at a school in London.. They were young and grew up together in this school and learned to fall in love with each other till one day when something drastic happens and it rips there world apart, leaving one full of hate and the other full of regrets. Fast Forward 6-7 yrs.. London works for the CIA and Logan is a Airline Pilot.. when they meet again 30K feet in the air..
I loved that we got to see Brooklyn and Mark, along with Kate and Eddie.. I loved Sister Katherine and little Ada.. This book had it all.. it will tear your heart out but put it right back together.. I have read quite a few of this authors books and I cant wait to read more and I especially cant wait to meet her next year at #KIKC19!!
Unsteady by Elizabeth York is a great story of understanding and second chances. Two best friends, each giving the other exactly what they need. Two best friends who become so much more. They are each other’s world. Until suddenly she left, leaving behind a broken heart and the only person she ever could rely on. When years later they meet again, that first single meeting is enough to confirm they need to be together. But can then overcome everything from their past? Or are the odds just insurmountable?
Overall I really enjoyed this book. Even if I did fluctuate between wanting to shout and scream at Logan to thinking he was perfect for London. The emotions were so strong all the way through this book. I felt my heart break for London so many times, I felt like we were really taken on her journey. I haven’t read anything by this author before so I loved how her writing style grabs your attention. If you like best friend romances then this is definitely a book for you.
So much pain and betrayal in this story. London is definitely a better person than most. I can’t believe all she put up with and all the lies. This story will have you angry and sad at the same time. Logan is a playboy hiding a broken heart. The history of this couple is super sweet but turn sour and painful. There is so many regrets and loses in this story. Sister Katherine was a low key freak she let them get away with a lot and her relationship with London’s father is questionable. The author had me captivated from beginning to end. I really didn’t want to put it down. The raw emotions the author wrote had me feeling like it was happening to me. I felt in the moment and ready to partake.
Unsteady by Elizabeth York was a highly addictive read. I thought the book was so long as I was reading it but now looking back, there was so much that happened in the book so it needed to be long. The characters were all pretty lovable. This book describes how London and Logan were both sent away to boarding school at young ages. They quickly became best friends and fell for eachother. They would sneak out and go on adventures all the time. Sister Catherine was able to tell from the beginning that Logan and London belong together. Then London lies to him and leaves the boarding school thinkingbshe is making he right choice.
London and Logan haven’t seen, heard or spoken to each other in many years. Then one day, somehow London ends up on one of Logan’s flights with no memory how she got there.
People arent all like they make themselves out to be. Sometimes, someone you trust the most can be the most dangerous person you know.
This book is loaded with romance, heartache, danger and everything in between. This is definitely a book you do not want to miss.
This book has broken me. I have cried so much my eyes are just slits in my face right now. Elizabeth York is a new to me author and I wish I'd found her earlier. Unsteady is so well written and emotional; I am wrung out.
Logan and London's story is epic! They meet at the age of seven and eight in a boarding school run by nuns; they are instantly drawn and so am I. Every word I felt deep in my soul. Their families are unusual and complicated; they are woven into the story and make it even more wonderful.
The story grips you and very often rips your heart out and then fixes it, before doing it again. It's fast paced, exciting, nail biting, complex and heart melting all wrapped up in tears and tissues. Prepare to be taken on a fantastic journey.
Unsteady by Elizabeth York was a good love at first sight/second chance romances and it was very sweet and heart breaking.
London was amazing. To love someone the way she loved Logan and to sacrifice so much because of that love, it made me respect her a lot.
Logan is a true book boyfriend, there may be guys out there like that but I've never met one.
There were parts of the book that kept me so engrossed I didn't realize how much time had passed while reading it. London's sister Brooklyn was great! I wish all sisters were that close. Ms. York is a new to me authors bit I will look for her again in the future.
