“Vampires are real, and they’re called Ichorians!”

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚💜❤️🖤
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎🌍
Character development: 🤐🤫🫣😍😘
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Lizzie (a.k.a. Test subject 47) - She may be related to Tom from Forbidden Bonds and she is an unknowing test subject of Jonathan’s and the CRF under the project name “rebirth”. She is some sort of supernatural being but doesn’t know it. She has parents whom she thinks are her real parents but she doesn’t share any DNA with them and she may still get monthly medical treatments to stay alive.

The Hero: Jayson - an elder Hydrarian, treated as royalty among the Hydrarians. He can control metal and can alter visual perception and memory. That is why nobody can ever remember what he looks like, making him the perfect spy. He is thousands of years old and is in charge of protecting Lizzie who is in danger from Jonathan and the CRF, but can’t be extracted until they know more about her and whether she needs medication or treatments to keep her alive.

The Story: Jayson moves into Lizzie’s building in the condo above hers. All he knows about his assignment is that he has to stay close to her, keep her safe and learn more about her. The two of them are attracted to each other from the start. Lizzie has been lonely since her best guy friend recently died and her girlfriend, Stas has been hanging with her boyfriend nearly all the time. So when Jayson wants to hang out she figures she might as well.

This book was the best so far in both the romance and the side storyline. I also loved the fact that they had to explain the whole supernatural world to Lizzie and I finally really got a good idea of the different supernatural types and how everything worked. That Ichorians are like vampires and each has a gift or a power, Hydrarians are the progeny of Ichorians (though they don’t drink blood) and they get two gifts, one from each parent. Also the fact that the blood of a Hydrarian can kill an Ichorian so they are bitter enemies. New York is the home of the Ichorians so Hydrarians can’t go there, and live on the greek island of Hydria for the most part.

There are also the sentinels who are a military force of the CRF. And there are Nizari assassins whom are Ichorian and work for Osiris and they search for and execute fledglings (Hydrarians that haven’t yet died and become immortal). There is a ton of chemistry between Jayson and Lizzie and the book gets pretty steamy in parts. This was definitely the best book of the series so far.

This book was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Sara Puckett and Troy Duran. Troy is my all time favorite male narrator for romance books. He has a deep sexy voice and has a pretty good female voice as well since this is done in dual narration. Sara Puckett has a soft feminine voice which is very nice.

This is the third book in this fascinating series and have to say it's my favourite so far.
In this one, we finally get to find out more about Lizzie Watkins, best friend of Stas and unknown classified experiment,
Jayson an ancient Hydraian elder is the one tasked with babysitting duties while all else join forces to try and decipher the best way to keep Lizzie safe and protected while also trying to discover just what she actually is.
Jay's charge is off limits which only makes her more irresistible to him and while he tries his hardest to damp down his natural inclinations around her spending so much time with his Red only makes him fall deeper down that rabbit hole.
So When Lizzie's eyes are cruelly opened to the paranormal world she has been oblivious to, she naturally is devastated at the betrayal of the people she thought cared about her.
Losing all trust in those she thought had her corner.
So this one was really emotional, Lizzie has really had a number done on her in regards to her own worth and self-esteem.
It doesn't help that Jay while falling deeply for her is also on his own path of self-discovery, monogamy is new to him and while he did behave himself here his naturally flirtatious manner has been ingrained into him and its almost second nature to him now.
His manner around the ladies though harmless causing him to unintentionally damage Lizzies fragile emerging trust.
What I liked about Jay though was when he realised this he took steps to rectify the hurt he had caused by his unthinking actions.
This one was also the hottest in terms of content and I just adored Jay's take charge attitude.
I could really feel the connection between Lizzie and Jay there chemistry projected off the page.
They made a great pair.
And In terms of suprises, this one really was Jam-packed and I really am super intrigued now to see where this all is heading.
I Love this series so much it really is a great read with some fantastic imaginative world-building.
This one definitely gets the seal of approval.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Blood Heart (Immortal Curse, #3).

Book 1 in this series, Blood Laws, is one of the best first paranormal books in a series I've ever read. Book 2 was yet again an amazing read and I was so excited to read about Lizzie & Jay.

The expectations were HIGH for this one, is what I'm trying to say hihi. And let me tell you: Lexi delivered yet again!

I have a feeling this author isn't able to disappoint me in any way. She has this amazing talent of hitting me right in the feels with her words, every single time <- I'm in awe and happy to add this author to my all-time favorite authors list!

WARNING:
If you haven't read book 1 and 2 yet, there might be minor spoilers in this review, although I've kept it quite superficial. It is recommended to read these books in order. For those new to the Immortal world, there's a glossary of key terms and definitions to be found in each book so you Can read them separately then as well.

Asset File 4-7: Elizabeth Watkins
Genotype: Non-Human

That’s the only information Jayson Masters has about his newest assignment. To learn more, he’ll need to infiltrate her life in the most intimate of ways without getting too close.

Game on.

Lizzie’s new neighbor is loud, seductive, and ridiculously attractive. And he keeps flirting with her. With the recent death of a close friend hanging over her head, Lizzie tentatively agrees to a new friendship in hopes of ignoring her broken heart.

A web of lies isn’t sustainable forever.

And sometimes love isn’t enough.

An immortal war is brewing, and she’s the key…

The story-line and plot in this book is just extremely well done in my opinion. There are some really intense and impactful twists in this book, that had me teetering on the brink of sanity - the good kind you know. The kind when you start fingerling like crazy wether it's about something good or awful that's happening. This book is filled with angst, passion, suspense, action and a great presence of the most amazing characters, romances and friendships.

" You clearly don't know me at all."
There. That held a little bit more confidence.
Except he silenced that budding self-assurance with a predatory
smile- a king grinning at his chosen conquest.

"Oh, that is were you're wrong."
His gazed dropped to her mouth before sliding back up.
"Your body speaks to me on a level you don't yet understand,
but you will, and soon."

To me, this was definitely the most emotional book yet in the series, that I've read so far. And I just love it so much; how Lexi is able to have me feeling all the feels when reading her stories. I was so hooked to Jay and Lizzie's story right from the start and there was so much happening revolving them alone that made me so happy.

I love Lizzie's feistiness but her naive and innocent side as well. And Jayson! He was just the right amount of pushy and dominant as well as soft and mellow. Loved him so so much! He's definitely one of my fave characters now!

"Okay, buddy, just who do you think you are?"
"Jayson Masters," he replied without missing a beat. "And you?"

She blinked, taken aback. This... this...man acted like no other
person she'd ever met. He was rude, arrogant, and pushy,
gave her one hell of a headache...
and was smiling at her with the most charming expression she'd ever seen.

She shook her head again. "You need to go."
"Why?" he asked. "Do you have plans for the evening?"
"Well, no, but-"
"Are you expecting someone?"
"No, but that's-"
"Have you eaten?"
She frowned. "No, you interrupted me while
I was trying to find something to cook."

"Then my timing is perfect. Dinner should be here in about"- he checked the clock over the stove -"twenty minutes, give or take.
Hopefully you like San Dinos. I've heard good things, but it's my first time."

And then there was also some focus on Stas and Issac as well, the characters we got introduced to in the first book, which was so intense, interesting and emotional too. There's just so much development in this book and I couldn't get enough of it. And whenever there's a question that was answered, a new one popped to mind. These books keep me thinking and guessing and looking forward to what's to come, with every new page I'm flipping.

The other supportive characters are yet again such a pleasure to read about and I can't wait to continue reading this series and read more about them too. I came to love all of these characters so much, even the ones that have only been present as supportive characters so far. These characters are the reason I was crying, smiling, laughing out loud, cursing and swooning... They are so lovable and precious!

The romance in this one is yet again soul consuming and just the way I like it; perfect! The development is just so well written down. Lizzie & Jay have this insane chemistry right from the start and I love that insta-lust thing they had going on but that it isn't insta-love. They build quite a beautiful friendship first, which I loved.

“Knowing you has changed me on an irrevocable level.
I thought my yearning for you was a passing infatuation,
just as the others who came before you were,
but the desire grew with each day until I couldn’t deny it anymore.
And so I broke the rules, and tasted you,
but, God, Liz, it wasn’t enough.”

The love part of their romance is so beautiful to follow when the story progresses because of the fact that they've build this friendship first but also had some great chemistry going on. There was a lot of room for their characters to develop and for their romance to develop before things got really intense and Lexi's way of writing down these sexy AF romances is just phenomenal. I think she's one of the best romance authors out there at this very moment.

This was a spectacular read yet again and it may even be my favorite in the series so far! I devoured every single page and if I'd had the time for it, I would've finished it in one sitting. Everything regarding the mystery solving revolving Lizzie was so interesting and well written down and I loved reading about her and Jayson and their romance as well. Their chemistry was so intense and their romance was beautifully developed.

I love the paranormal elements in this series a lot; the world building and the politics are so interesting. And as I said before, the romance was amazing and all elements are in perfect balance with one another I think.

The writing is, as always, addictive and enthralling. I've fallen hard for Lexi's writing ever since reading her first book, Blood Laws, and I'm so happy she always delivers. She's therefore already one of my all-time favorite (paranormal) romance authors to this date. Her Immortal Curse series is already in my top five alongside series written by Nalini Singh and Gena Showalter for example.

I really can't recommend this series enough to every (paranormal) romance reader out there. Even if you aren't a PNR fan, you can get totally lost in the world she has weaved. These books have an outstanding set of characters, they're plot-driven books set in a really interesting world, intense and amazingly written romances and each and every single one of these books - that I've read so far - are ones you want to read in one sitting. Because once started, you really don't want to stop reading!

Thanks for reading!

There is something so addictive about a series that makes you ask tons of questions at the start, answers them as you go, and leaves you with so many new questions RIGHT NOW!! I'm full of questions... so many questions... and I'm loving it!!

The things I loved:
💋 Lizzie - she was absolutely adorable. Innocent and naive with a gigantic heart, she was pretty awesome. It was almost virtually impossible to find anything about her to annoy me. WIN! It was discovered that she might not be human and this book reveals her in all of her complexities. She was sweet and kind and desperate for a connection and Jay was the perfect person to insert in her life.
💋 Jayson - a Hydraian Elder, he has the power to manipulate metal and change someone's perspective of his physical impression. Alive for many millenia, he was the consummate playboy. Things can get boring when you're living forever. However, he wasn't the classic 'love em and leave em' kind of guy. He did go for repeats but he'd never had a real relationship. Lizzie was simply an assignment. She was special, needed protection, and they needed to learn more about her before they could bring her into the fold. That was Jayson's job - reconnaissance. And then it led to so much more and it was bea-you-ti-ful!
💋 Stas was still pretty annoying, throwing herself into situations she shouldn't be in with dire consequences. However, she finally saw the light!
She was no match for the assassin. He would rip her to shreds, and enjoy it.

It was too late, but with the many moving parts of this series, I believe that it will all work out in the end *fingers crossed* I just want Issac to be happy.
💋 I need more information about the Seraphim and exactly how Stas fits into all that. I'm just extremely glad that my thoughts regarding Stark (especially after the huge reveal in book two) were on point. I'm struggling to see the bigger picture and I can't wait for it all to unfold in the books to come!

Whatever, I'm off to read the next book. Elder Bonds. It looks hella fun!!

Bu serinin okuma sırası çok değişik ya... Bu kitap sonrası direkt altıncı kitaba geçebilirsiniz sanırım 🙈
Değişik...

Kitaba gelirsem.

One thing I can tell, when these players fell, they fell hard!

Jayson/Jedrick is one of the Elders of Hydarains. Three thousand years old and a carefree, powerful, loyal hero.
Elizabeth Watkins/Lizzy, a mystery and intriguing character was first introduced in book one. These two completely different persons meet and it’s magic from there onwards.

For me, star of this book was heroine Lizzy. I loved her innocence, loyalty and sweetness. I loved how Lizzy dealt with Stas and Tom’s betrayal. It was emotional and wounding. Whenever you think you know what’s going to happen next, you’re surprised by the twists. It kept me constantly guessing. There were many surprising revelations in the story and I’m so excited with the plot thickening.

One thing that irritated me so much was the mention of Jayson’s past.
Hero of the first book- Isaac was a monk compared to Jay and I thought Isaac was the biggest player. Too much unwanted information about ‘sixome’, Brazil, bets, sharing and flirting.
It’s making me hesitate to read Balthazar’s book. He is such a unashamed, unapologetic playboy.

Still the world building, writing, characters, powers, politics and plot is so worth it.

Contains Dark themes.

Recommended.

Whenever I know that this author is writing another book and especially in the the Immortal Curse series, I get super excited. I can feel my heart pumping and a wide smile brightens my face, but, I always have a fear that I’m not going to enjoy the next book in the series and that it won’t surpass the previous books brilliance.
Take Forbidden Bonds for example. That book for me was like this big beacon that shone down and said ‘now look here, here is an author that can write and write bloody well.’

Forbidden Bonds went far beyond my paltry expectations that NOTHING could surpass it. I feared for all future instalments because to me the author had set the bar too high and I feared that nothing could compete.

I’m ver damned happy to report that I was absolutely wrong and my fear was unjustified. Blood Heart blew Forbidden Bonds out of the water. (Don’t worry Tom, I’m still very much in love with you.)

Blood Heart is a killer and I mean that in the best possible way. We’re introduced to new characters, old characters are brought back and given new life. We have new plot twists and exciting turns. Previous characters personalities are the same but different, I don’t know how to explain it other than in that way.
Just when you think you know the way the authors mind is working, she shifts it so that everything is off kilter. She somehow does a U’ey and travels back and forth down Alice’s rabbit hole that you just don’t know where you are.

I was a little apprehensive when I realised that the main character in this book, Lizzie, (who is Stas best friend) was going to be introduced as a main character because I really didn’t understand where or how she was going to fit into the story, I mean in Blood Laws she’s pretty much a secondary character and I wouldn’t have necessarily thought she really fit as a main character, but she works and obviously is pivotal to the role that has been created for her. Jayson (love interest and immortal) is the perfect guy for her. He has this sweet arrogance to his personality which you can’t help be charmed by and Lizzie is very much charmed by this guy. They have a slow burning chemistry that you can feel at the beginning but that burns with intensity. It’s very compelling to watch it blossom.

As with most PNR’s, the storyline is fraught with tension, passion, action, sexiness, heat, suspense and also includes the camaraderie. Some of the one liners from the characters had me in stitches.

I truly cannot wait for the next instalment but again I now have the same fear as I stated previously in this review. ‘Will I love the next book as much as this book, Blood Heart?’
Experience has proven that’ll be a HELL YEAH!!

PNR/Action/Mystery/Suspense

Fuck! This book had it all. Book 3 in The Immortal Curse Series, and by far the most telling. I am obsessed.

This series is cleverly crafted, a web of intricate details woven in, leaving you hunting for answers! I've went back to the first book and re-read passages. I went as far as highlighting things that I thought might be easter eggs. And it's definitely helped, some. I've only figured out one twist thus far. The mystery has me by the tits. The secrets are slowing being revealed, yet I'm not even remotely ready for all to be seen. I feel like I can't leave these characters or world, like ever. Completely engrossing, engaging, addicting.

By the blurb, you'd think this book is about one couple. To a certain extent, yes. But the storyline is continuing from the first book. Like a mini-series, the behind the scenes players are becoming known, it's all so much and not enough at the same time. It's like these characters, this brotherhood is imprinting on my heart. I can't even begin to pick a favorite yet. With so many characters, the author has given each their own identity, unique qualities enabling you to feel something different with each one. It's utterly delightful to witness the dynamic and love throughout. Like I said, obsessed. Lexi C Foss is extremely talented storyteller, I'm in awe of this series. I can't praise this enough. I just want to wrap myself up in this series and never let go.

"We’re brothers and always will be, but love, true love, surpasses all the rules. Including those implied by our history.”

I love these dudes.

3.5 stars. The story really takes off in this one. The world the author has created totally comes into its own. And the story develops wonderfully. Definitely recommended.

However I found it hard work to read I tried five times before I got into, I stuck at it because I know how rich this story is and I know I want to keep following it.

I didn’t warm to Lizzie or Jayson, esp him he just didn’t do it for me. And I wasn’t too sure about why he fell for her, other than the fact that she was gorgeous.

For me the dialogue and writing lacked the sparkle of the other two books. Because I’d love the first two so much I actually went back and randomly read some passages in those books to be sure. And before some of the very compelling characters like Luc, isaac and B leapt off the page I didn’t get that this time. It just didn’t fizz, but the way the story is developing I’m def hooked. Perhaps the bar was set too high with the first two books. But I look forward to the next one.

Guys this book. Five stars. Lexi C. Foss has moved her way to my auto-buy list. It doesn't matter what genre she writes or what she writes about, it is all 5 star worthy. But if I could give more stars to this series and this book I would. Blood Heart has such amazing world building, strong relatable characters, heat, passion and action. This series reminds me of the Dark Hunter series but 5 million times better. (And I am a fan of the Dark Hunters.) I also love that each character is unique with their personalities and each book is distinct and adds to the world building. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series and author. When you read her work reach out to me so we can fangirl together.

OH WOW.....this book has shattered me piece by piece,Lexi what are you doing to me,I just have no words at the moment to describe my emotions after just finishing this book.Fantasicly brillaintly done to get me sucked back in even more where i don't even know where this is taking me.To say this book was amazing is not even close to giving it the justice it deserves. To think i was worried that this would not be as good as Blood Bonds, well i needn't of worried as this blew it out the water, seriously.

To say that i loved this story is a understatment as the Intense,Raw,Heart-Shattering emotions that Lexi put me through still has me in ewe, this has left a gapping hole where my heart used to be.This story line was intriguing and with so many twists that i never saw coming it took me on a fantasic ride, but we do get to catch up with some of the characters from the two previous books and some new characters to boost which i loved.

This starts with Lizzie meeting her noisey neighbour a Elder called Jayson from above her in the condo where she lives. He has been sent to baysit Lizzie and to find out all he can why she is being watched by the CRF,and what her involment is.Lexi draws you back into this world of Ichorians,Hydraians and Sentinals where we catch up with what has been happening since the last book.Love that we get to interact with the other characters even though this is Lizzie and Jayson's story.

Lizzie has been brought up with strict parents of whom she hates, but it hasn't made her spoilt just polite even when she would like nothing more than to scream her fustrations out.Jayson is very pushy and invades her space much to her suprise, but she is attracted to him right from the start which builds into a attraction for both of them. The chemitry between this couple builds more and more until it explodes with hot sex that shouldn't be happening between this couple as she is forbidden, but they feel a conection that they can't stop.

This book is tense with all the twists that you don't see coming that had me on the edge of my seat with how this story unfolded.I must admit this had me in tears with what happens to some characters that left me shattered for what is to come in the future.I cannot recommend this book highly enough, this is a killer of a book that will leave you fraught with all the emotions you will feel at the end of this powerful story.Five Huge Stars for this rollocoaster of a book.

Karin - per RFS
.

Vi ricordate come terminava Legami proibiti?

(Risatina melliflua… fortunatamente per noi, no!).

What a gamechanger this book was! I thought it would be just about another immortal couple but so, so much more happened.

As like the previous book, this one continues where the second one left off. The plan is for Jayson to try and get close to Lizzie so that they can figure out the serum she needs to survive and they can extract her to Hydria. Things have escalated in NY with Johnathan and the CRF and it's potential to effect Hydria is becoming ever more dangerous.

Jayson's plan was to befriend Lizzie with strict orders not to be intimate with her as Jayson has a reputation with the ladies spanning centuries. Lizzie is something. She's not Hydraian, Ichorian or even human. Quite the enigma for Jayson and he finds himself drawn to her like he'd never been drawn to a woman ever before. Lizzie is quite innocent when it comes to men and her self confidence is low but Jayson becomes everything she never knew she needed.

As the story progresses we learn Lizzie's role in the grand scheme of things and how Jonathan and Osiris have bigger, evil plans for all the immortals as well as Lizzie. Ezekiel is introduced and he has history with Jayson. However, things are not as they seem with him and we also get another glimpse of the mystery that is Stark. Issac and Astasyia play important roles in this installment as well.

This book kept me up 2 nights in a row way past my bedtime. The world building in this immortal world is so fantastic. Nothing in this story is predictable but the romance, as usual is steamy as hell. 5 stars hands down and now I'm off to read book 4

I've been a massive fan of the Immortal Curse series and Lexi C Foss is fast becoming one of my all-time favourite authors in this genre. Her writing is simply sublime so even if you aren't a PNR fan, you can get totally lost in the world she has weaved. I simply loved the first two books, Blood Laws and Forbidden Bonds so I was seriously expecting to be able to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride of this new book.....

Lizzie and Jayson were two relatively minor characters in the previous books, and because I didn't know them particularly well, it took a while for me to warm up to them especially as it was clear this was not going to be of the "settle down with a cup of tea in a comfy armchair" type of book. Not a great start for my sitting back and relaxing. I'd describe it as a bit more like turbulence. And as the story progressed there was more turbulence. In fact, there did not seem to be a single moment of calm for Lizzie and Jayson as the manic and mayhem for either of them simply did not stop.

Lexi mixed some amazing new characters (my favourite one in particular had a penchant for the rather dramatic), revelations that literally made me incensed with rage and heart-breaking dramas for familiar characters and the end result was one hell of a story, genuinely surpassing the other two books. So, as much as I was expecting to be able to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride, I couldn't. I sat on the edge of my seat, practically breathless, waiting for the seat-belt light to go on and the oxygen mask to drop.

But I should have known, as this is Lexi writing, and she doesn't do comfortable, snug, or cozy and she definitely doesn't do comfort zone. The next book cannot come quickly enough although can you warn me if I'm going to need my life-jacket?

Blood Heart is the third book in the series. Lizzie was mentioned in the previous books and we have already met Jay, so I wouldn't consider them new characters. The story had some interesting twists and I saw some of them coming, which made me understand why Blood Bonds is listed as book 5 instead of 0.5. It would ruin many surprises. The book can be read as stand-alone, but I would recommend reading the other 2 books first. What I liked the most about this book is that Isaac and Stas's relationship finally had some development since book 2 had nada. What I hated was Jay. He was in a constant state of horniness and was minutes away from teleporting somewhere to sleep with a woman or 5 when Lizzie interrupted him. He gave me the impression that he wasn't as charmed by Lizzie as the previous heroes had been with their heroines. The hero is a manwhore and the heroine is a virgin. When I finished Forbidden bonds I was so happy that we didn't have this or similar tropes and immediately after this book happened. That's why I know from this moment and on that, I won't read B's book. The sleeping around fits his character, but I am pretty sure that he is a walking STD.

To be fair to the book, this has to be the one with the most action and answers. A lot of things are going on and a lot of dynamics are shifting. I am not sure if the next two books in the series will provide much info though and I wonder if I should go for book 6 and read the other two later. The story of this book without giving us a lot of closure on some crucial stuff.

This one didn't blow me away as much as 1 and 2, but I still enjoyed it and will definitely keep reading this series.

I think I have a problem with the whole "ancient immortal guy falls for self-conscious twenty-something girl to constantly reassure her that's she so totally hot and sexy" trope. LOL.

But seriously.

If I was a three THOUSAND year old dude, I think I'd be like a little annoyed with those kind of self-esteem issues. Not that I blamed Lizzie's character for that. I actually thought she was an awesome and loving person despite all the crap she had to deal with, and her immaturity was understandable, relatable, and even lovable at times.

Maybe this is just my hang up because I find it so hard to imagine what someone would actually be like after 3 THOUSAND YEARS.

Like what did Jayson do with himself for that long besides be a manwhore? Why isn't he like, a super genius? Or an epic musician? I think I'm taking this too far...

I had a very difficult time getting through this book. I can't stand Lizzie and Jayson isn't much better. They fall desperately in lust but call it love. Lizzie is a selfish brat, I know it's partly because she's been manipulated in the lab. Her unwillingness to try to listen to Stas or Tom after she is first informed of their world after Stas put her own life in danger to stay in NYC for Lizzie infuriated me. Jayson is thousands of years old but acts like a stupid teenager who can't control his hormones around her. He mentions that he likes her good heart a couple of times but that is the only reason mentioned besides her body about why he suddenly has fallen in "love."
I'm tempted to not read the next book because it's about Lizzie and Jayson's wedding preparation. But I am very interested in the overarching plot of this world.

I received a ARC copy of this book in exchange for my review.

WOW! Lexi C. Foss has done it again! The story of Lizzie and Jayson had me on an emotional roller coaster. It was impossible to put down! I thought the plot and characters were amazing how they evolved, and in parts it was heartbreaking. I liked how Lexi C. Foss took this one a little darker in some ways than the others, and really showing that with the two main characters. I don't want to give any spoilers, so I will just say you NEED to read this story!!

*****Fantastic, absolutely loved it, gripped all the way through *****

Lexi C Foss has very quickly become one of my absolute favourite go to authors, so I've been excitedly waiting for Blood Heart, book three in her fabulous Immortal Curse pnr series. I know now what I'm going to get, a wonderfully written story with depth, detail, characters who grow and develop, twists, turns, revelations and jaw dropping heartfelt moments, tears, red hot passion and humour. This book is no exception, I loved it and devoured it from cover to cover.

Following the events from the previous book, immortal Hydraian elder Jayson Masters (Jay) has been sent to watch and learn the secret of who and what Lizzie Watkins is. She is strictly off limits to him, but he quickly finds he needs to get closer to achieve his goal. She's been brought up as the rich, seemingly spoilt society girl, but he discovers so much more than meets the eye. Her innocence, sadness and sweet nature draws him in to the web of secrets surrounding her. When a dangerous Ichorian from his past takes an interest in both Lizzie and her roommate Stas, Jay and his allies are going to have to be on top of their game to survive what threatens to rip them apart.

I love it when you can hate the bad guys as much as love the good guys (and my heart certainly beats hard for Jay and Lizzie), but here there are so many shades of grey in between the black and white, you never know what to expect next. That's a huge part of why I love Lexi's books, they are not predictable, not for me anyway! Beloved characters are in abundance alongside the despicable and some new, very intriguing ones were introduced into the mix. Questions are answered but oh wow there are a few major new ones that need answering. It's like torture having to wait, but wait I will for the next installment because I absolutely love this series and the raw emotions it draws from me.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. If you love PNR, action, humour, sexiness and a brilliant story that snags your heart and won't let go, I can totally recommend this, but start at book one (Blood Laws) as you wouldn't want to miss a thing.

4.5-star review

Blood Heart is the third book in the Immortal Curse series. This book is a Paranormal Romance novel, that is full of angsty characters who are trying to deal with life, while all this chaos is being thrown their way. The world Lexi has created is incredible! Seriously you can't help but love the characters she's developed. The world they live in has so many levels and is so well developed that the reader falls right in. I found myself, laughing with the characters, wanting Lizzie and Jayson to admit their feelings for each other, and crying my eyes out throughout this story!
A simply incredible story, leaving the reader wanting more.

This is the third instalment of the Immortal Curse series, and can I just say OUT.STANDING.

I have loved the Immortal Curse series from page 1 of Blood Laws, and to be honest, I didn’t think it could get any better. And yet, here we are. And this is interesting, because Jayson doesn’t feature highly in Blood Laws or Forbidden Bonds, and yet, he has evolved into such an incredible character. And then you have Lizzy, who, honestly, I found somewhat bland and annoying in the earlier books.

I love how a skilled author is able to completely invert your mindset. Lexi has delivered an action-packed, sexy, intelligent story. As the reader, you find yourself completely immersed in the characters—you end up loving them both, and desperately wanting the best possible outcome.

Jayson is such a great character—he is intense, fun, intelligent, loyal, capable, honest, and he doesn’t take any prisoners. The more you read him, the more you fall under his sexy spell.

Lizzy’s transformation takes her from annoying to vulnerable, kind, sexy, and strong. And what an evolution it is.

Then you have the secondary characters of Isaac—Isaac will be so unhappy to hear himself classed as a secondary character, Stas, the energetic and creative B, Luc, Jacque, Tristan, Mateo, Tom, and Amelia.

Lexi C Foss also has the ability to write particularly despicable villains. These are not villains that you love to hate. They make your skin crawl and are completely vile. I really want Jonathon to have a painful and oh so very long demise.

Then you have the unknowns—Gabriel and Ezekiel. Who are they really? What is their agenda? Are they good, bad or shades of grey...the plot thickens. I have my own ideas about them, but I leave it to you good people to determine what you think.

Lexi C Foss’s plot development takes us to a range of stunning global locations which makes this world just feel so fantastical. In addition, she evokes a maelstrom of emotions from the reader such as amusement, disbelief, wonder, anxiety and sadness. As with any great saga, as the book draws to its climax, Lexi hits you with a sting in the tail that a scorpion would be envious of.

All in all, another phenomenal book from this incredibly talented author. I cant wait to read Angel Bonds and Blood Bonds. In fact, I get very excited at the prospect of reading anything written by Lexi C Foss.

Oh, my heart…

So many feels with this one. A woman of means and of interest. An Immortal Elder sent to learn more about her. Two completely different worlds. What happens when just watching is no longer enough, those worlds collide.

Elizabeth has been raised to be the perfect, polite society daughter. Her best friend and roommate is now working for the agency who stole her childhood crush and she is alone. Alone in her grief and so much more. She wants nothing more than to be seen and understood.

Jayson is an elder and has been sent to learn more about Elizabeth. She is forbidden fruit and the more he watches, the more her innocence and warm heart draws him to her. Can he stay away while seeking answers to the secrets surrounding her? More importantly, can he keep her safe when those secrets threaten to override her?

The story visits past characters and continues the story of the Immortal Curse world. Emotions are high, the feels are real, and the story delivers on so many levels. With more questions, sneak peaks of things to come, and some secrets revealed… I can’t wait to see what happens next!

First Blood Laws, then Forbidden Bonds, now comes Blood Heart. It’s an emotional ride, thrilling, and powerful.
How can the third book in a PNR just keep getting better? Each book has secrets revealed and planted, and some how this author has them throughout the series. Which always gives me the rush of fitting puzzle pieces together that I had not even realized I was looking for. Fantastic world building continues as the stories grow with the characters.

Jayson (an elder) is doing his part to protect his wold and people. This time his job is to watch over a girl. There’s something different about her, in more ways than one. His order is not to interact, just observe, from afar. Learn and report back. Easy right? But the girl is a woman, and he’s got to get closer to do his job better. Lucky for him she’s pretty, and with a little help, maybe fun.
Now all he’s got to remember is not to mix business with pleasure.

I absolutely loved this book and can not wait for the next story!

Blood Heart is book 3 in the immortal curse series by Lexi C Foss. This is my sixth book from this author and she just continues to make ever read better than the last. Her writing style, storyline and her characters just continue to be incredible and make every one of her book compelling and captivating until the end. Lexi continues to surpass any expectation I have of what her book will be like, yet with every book and every turn within this book you just continue to get thrown into a different journey of some incredible characters, new or old.

This book is filled with suspense, action, passion, sexiness & romance. We even get little bits of witty humour and comedy from out characters with their great one-liners and banter between the two. We are given plot twists like no other, that are thrilling and leave you on the edge of your seat wondering what could happen next. You can never say for definite hat will happen when it comes to Lexi’s reads as when you finally think you know what is going to happen, Lexi always has a way to throw you off.

I love that Lizzie finally got her own story, she is mentioned only a little in book 1 but had a way of giving you enough that you want to find out more. But along with an original character, we get introduced to Jayson, who you can’t help but like yourself. Jayson & Lizzie immediately has a connection that burns strong and I love watching it blossom and develop. They have a real relationship, which makes it even better to see these two together, they are right for each other in so many ways!

Once again I cannot rate this series, and author as much as I already have! She continues to get better and better and bring us along on an incredible storyline that should not be missed!

Oh my days!! This book.....

I've just finished and I honestly don't know what to say except I loved, loved, loved it so much. I never thought another immortal from the amazing world Lexi C Foss has created would sneak into my heart the way my beloved Balthazar has....but, Jayson, you may have stolen a slice.

The whole world that Foss has created is beyond genius. Honestly, I'm in awe of her creativity and imagination. In Blood Heart, we get a proper peek behind the curtain of the foundations she lay in Blood Laws and Forbidden Bonds, and while I wanted to rip the fabric open and beg her to tell me EVERYTHING - RIGHT NOW - I've had a quiet word with myself and am now reveling in the glow of delayed gratification (down B!)

I'll end with a Game of Thrones quote (because I'm a huge fan, and this is my review, so I can lol)....
Winter isn't coming any longer....it's here!

Bring on Angel Bonds. I, for one, cannot wait.
