Lily Taylor is launching her career as a jazz singer through a celebrity auction at a gala event. The problem is, no one is bidding except Diego Sanchez, the sexy Argentinian she had a one-night stand with one month ago.
She’s been raising her twin brothers for the past nine years after their parents were tragically killed. Now that they’re adults, Lily’s determined to be independent and carve out a new life for herself. The last thing she wants is to settle down.
Diego Sanchez has successfully launched a brand of hip wine bars across Melbourne. With his career goals met, he’s looking for a woman who shares his values on family, home, and culture. Not only is Lily not interested, but she doesn’t meet his preconceived notions of a “perfect wife”.
A burning attraction between them, Lily and Diego agree on an affair but the clincher is, it has an end-date. But when love complicates their fling, are they willing to make changes or will they each hold steadfast to their entrenched beliefs and goals?

BIDDING ON LOVE is a very quick read, just over one hundred pages but my goodness, it sure does pack a punch as well as being extremely hot. It was the perfect way to start my day today. Lily Taylor is just starting to get her life back. When she was nineteen, her parents died tragically and it was up to her to step up and raise her twin brothers. Now they are adults and it's time for Lily to start living her dreams. That is until she meets Diego once again.
One month ago, Lily had a wild and sex filled night with Diego. When she wakes in the morning, she looks at herself in the bathroom mirror and runs far away from him. She can't believe the things she has done with him. Now, here he is bidding on her in a celebrity auction and she is ready to run again. He convinces her that he only wants her to sing at a family event and then she is free to go. There is an instant attraction between them once again but Lily agrees with his plan. Well, we all know how plans go. Never the way we want or expect. BIDDING ON LOVE is going to bring all kinds of feelings and emotions to a head between Diego and Lily. Will they act on them or deny them? Falling in love isn't part of the deal at all and both try to deny that this is what is happening.
BIDDING ON LOVE is all about Lily making her dreams come true. Her life has been on hold for nine years while she raised her siblings and just when she starts to think her dreams can come true, in walks Diego. Will she throw her dreams away for him? Diego is ready for a family, ready to settle down, and falling in love isn't in his plan. Lily knows this but wants to fall in love with the right man and knowing how Diego feels, she also knows he isn't the one. Someone is in for a rude awakening and I'm not telling you who it is. My only complaint about BIDDING ON LOVE is that is was over way before I wanted it to be. Joanne Dannon is a new author to me but I'm so glad I gave her wonderful story a chance. I can't wait to read more by Ms. Dannon.

"Bidding on Love" by Joanne Dannon
My Thoughts....
"Bidding on Love" was a sweet cute read that will keep your attention all the way till the end. I liked the way the story focused on Lily Taylor who after her parents had died and she had raised her brother was not looking forward to having some fun of her own.Lily was a jazz single and wanted to pursue a musical career. In what way will meeting Diego again after a one night fling be something that will catch her interest? With Diego trying to heal his old wounds from a horrible relationship will he be willing to want to finally want to settle down and become a family man? I loved both of these main characters because they both seemed so very real. It was a very interesting well written read seeing how this all came out and they both found their HEA.
Lily Taylor has had to put her life on hold, to bring up her twin brothers. After their parents died. Now with the boys being college age Lily can finally do what she wants. All she wants to do is sing and travel the world. Lily's first step to the new her is agree to put herself up for auction. That's when she is bid on by the gorgeous Diego Sanchez, a man she hasn't seen since there one night stand. Talk about opposites attract, the only thing they can agree on is that the sex is good. Lily wants to be free to travel and have fun, eventually finding love. While Diego wants to settle down but doesn't believe in love. They agree on a fling with the end date being when Lily leaves for the USA. The chemistry is strong between these two, Its pretty obvious that Diego cares, will he realise it in time? Can Lily realise that she can have it all? Pick up a copy and find out.
I've always found it sweet when a male gets over-protective of a female even if its only to save her a bit of embarrassment. I also hate when people refuse to see that they are in love. This book has both of these. Don't get me wrong the story is so sweet and boarders on steamy, but denying your feelings is just wrong and people need to learn to accept them easier. Still a great read. There was a bit about the book I didn't like and that's why only 4 stars. To me it seemed as if at times it was a bit stiff and didn't flow smoothly in the dialogue.
Lily and Diego share a one night love affair but when fate steps in in the form of an auction one night has to be more.
A fantastic story which means so much more when read in conjunction with the authors introduction. I really enjoyed the fast paced story which had me turning the pages quickly.
A great book for those in the world heading into winter.
Bidding on Love by Joanne Dannon is a sassy story about Lily Taylor finally going after what she wants. When Lily was nineteen years old, her parents tragically passes away leaving her to raise her 9 year old twin brothers. Lily put her life and dreams on hold to care for her brothers but now they are adults and Lily is free to follow her dreams and take control of her life.
She decides to launch her Jazz singing career by offering herself up for an auction her employer is arranging. Fortunately for her, Diego Sanchez offers the winning bid! A month ago Lily and Diego had an unforgettably passionate night together but Lily ran out on him the next morning. Now Diego is determined to continue where they left off. Diego wants to settle down and get married where Lily is adamant that she does not want to get trapped into marriage when she has just found freedom.
The story and characters were entertaining, witty and fun! The book was a joy to read and I recommend it to any romance lover.
Lily Taylor has spent all the years since she was 19 taking care of her twin brothers when she lost her parents. She never regretted doing it but now that they are off to college it is her turn to pursue her dreams. Enter Diego who's career is all set owning a chain of wine bars. He is not looking for love just doing what is supposed to happen in life so he thinks. He figures he will meet someone get married have kids and hopefully eventually love will grow. His idea is so different from Lily but unfortunately when they meet plans go out the window for both. Diego and Lili have one explosive night, is it just one night? Should she give up her dreams and give in to the love? Ms. Dannon has written a superb love story that makes you realize somethings are not in our control as much as we would like them to be. A truly wonderful romance and two characters so different from each other but in reality they are not as both are looking for one thing but find each other. Fantastic story.
This is a thoroughly enjoyable story that kept me turning the pages and smiling it ticks all the boxes for what a romance story should have, it is a quick read with characters that are real and so very engaging the dialogue is wonderful and another fabulous story from MS Dannon.
Lily is a wonderful jazz singer and after years of bringing up her twin brothers after the deaths of their parents it is now time for Lily to get out and do some travelling and enjoy life. And after she is won in a bidding contest for charity Lily is now in the company of handsome wine bar owner Diego Sanchez who she has enjoyed one very passion filled night with already where will this lead them.
Lily and Diego have different ideas about their futures because of their pasts but when there is a spark well there is one and one that cannot be denied for long, I highly recommend this one sit back and enjoy this passionate journey to a beautiful HEA loved the setting and the characters wonderful story.

BIDDING ON LOVE is a swoon-worthy romance. Author Joanne Dannon brought this sensational tale full of shimmering sensuality. Readers would stay hooked to the story till the last page and would love to read how Lily brings Diego to his knees literally.
Bidding on Love by Joanne Dannon Lily Taylor is launching her career as a jazz singer at a gala even for a celebrity auction. The bids just were not coming in for her and one guy finally bid $1.00. How insulting! The bids went up to under $14.00 and Lily wanted to hop off the stage. There was interest when a slender girl in a bikini was on stage but nothing major for Lily. Diego Sanchez, a sexy Argentinian that was there with a female however he had to have Lily again. They had been together for one night and he had laid awake nights wanting her back again and now he found her and he made a Thirty thousand dollar bid. The room became 100% silent. Hoping that is enough to tempt you to settle in with the book and find out what really is going on. What will happen when Lily discovers who made that high bid? Enjoy it I sure did!!
Now if you're looking for a story with plenty drama and sizzling chemistry then I suggest you pick up Bidding On Love by Joanne Dannon. I enjoyed reading Lily and Diego's journey towards their happy ever after. The author seamlessly weaves in backstory to give us a glimpse of the reasons why the characters are who they are on the page. Their paths toward their current position hasn't been smooth. I especially cheered for Lily because she had had a tough past and seeing her finally moving on and taking that leap of faith with Diego shows how much she has grown. Meanwhile, Diego has charm and charisma in this story. He is a man who stands with what he believes in and he is the man to make Lily a better woman, faults and all. Overall, an absorbing story that keeps you turning the pages until the end.
Looking for a romance book with a happy ending? Look no further Bidding on Love is a must read.
In this story we get to meet Diego and Lily, a couple that will show you a different way to fall in love. This two have different perspective on love and they will teach you that not everything is lost when you hand your heart over to your true love.
Reading this book brought a smile to my face, it was a refreshing story. I recommend for you to read it. Refreshing and light is the best to described this romance book. Diego is one hunk you will want to get to know and Lily, well she will be your favorite character from the beginning. Honestly don't wait too long to read it.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
When love gets all in the midst of a fling! Wow!! Needless to say I was blown away! This is the perfect romance story. I love this plot and the characters. Author does an excellent job spinning this one. Diego isn't looking for love, he just wants to marry someone of his ethnicity, have kids & love will come eventually....that's his mentality--the cad :). Lily is just a great person, she has done well to raise her twin brothers and now that they are soon off to college, she wants to travel the world so she agrees to a temporary fling only with Diego. She's soon in over her head though & that's unacceptable for him of course but the cad is in for a rude awakening, lol. Great read, absolutely LOVED it!!!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily writing an honest review. Lily and Diego shared a one night stand a month ago with no expectations of seeing each other again. And they don't...until the night of a charity auction when Diego bids on and wins a date with Lily. With Lily preparing to start following her dreams of becoming a jazz singer and Diego not believing in love, they agree to a night of her singing for his family. However, those plans fall by the way side when they fall back into bed. Will Lily give up following her dreams to stay with Diego? Will Diego follow his heart? An entertaining story of love, loss, and following dreams!
"Bidding on Love" by Joanne Dannon is a hot, romantic love story between Lily Taylor and Diego Sanchez. When Lily was 19 she tragically lost both of her parents. She stepped in to take care of her twin brothers, but now they are off to college, and she is able to live her life. Diego comes into her life and offers her a one night affair. Sometimes life, and love find a way to sneak into their lives. Absolutely loved this story.
I really liked this story. Lily is a character who faced several things to take care of her twin brothers when their parents died, having to give up her dreams. She believes in love, but don't want any commitment at this time. Diego is a rich man who does not believe in love, but want to settle down and start a family. The two agree to casual encounters, but things are not as simple as they imagined... I received a copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.
This is an amazing love story I loved the main characters Diago and lily, how there are ment to be together but it takes them longer to realise that they do love each other when they kept telling each other that's it's just a fling. This is a first book by this author that I have read and I wasn't disappointed I had it free from joanne and she is very talented I will definitely have a look for more of her books.
Without a doubt Joanne Dannon has outdone herself and written a fantastic book!! All her books are wonderful, but this one is in a league of its own. You will enjoy it right from the start until the very last page. The only bad thing is that it had to end and you won't want it to...this truly is a wonderful book by a wonderful author!!!
Bidding on Love is such an adorable story. I thought the pace was perfect! Even though I felt connected to both Lily and Diego, I absolutely loved Diego as a character. His mannerisms and personality were written so well! I also loved watching Lily mature throughout the book, she definitely deserved her HEA!
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this book! I read it in one sitting (didn't get to sleep till after 2am!) as I had to find out what happened. I have read all of Joanne Dannon's books and so far this is my favourite!! Joanne's attention to detail is fabulous and the characters had a wonderful chemistry. I can't wait for her next book to be released!
Jazz Singer Lily Taylor is being auctioned at a gala dinner and no one is bidding on her, except her one night fling with Diego Sanchez, the sexy Argentinian. She has been raising her twin brothers for the last nine years since her parents died now she wants time for herself she does not want to settle down. What happens when they agree on an affair but they want more?
I don't read many so called romance books, but this one was a lot better than I though it would be. I really enjoyed all the nuances in the writing, and the story was one that is totally believable. I didn't have trouble staying interested in the story, so I finished it fairly quickly. I would love to read more books by this author.
A wonderful, fun, sexy and romantic read. From the opening of this book I was totally hooked.
The energy and passion between Diego and Lily kept me engaged. Two gorgeous and well written characters. A captivating romance that was hard to put down.
I adored Falling for Mr Wrong and now having read Bidding on Love I'm most definitely a fan of Joanne Dannon's work.
I received a copy of this ebook for an honest review. I really liked this book. This story shows Lily coming into her own person and following her dreams. Diego is trying to heal from old wounds and settle down into a family man. Did their paths cross at the right time or are the doomed to be just a one night stand??
It was a sweet, fun story. To have such tragedy and life knocks and then meet someone like him. Awesome how life goes sometimes. Full of surprises. I couldn't put it down. It made me laugh, cry and be in suspense. I recommend it. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Lily tries to launch her jazz career through a celebrity auction, but who's bidding, the man she had a one night fling. They're attracted, but can it last. Romance and easy reading to the great ending
She raised her two younger brothers when her parents passed. Her big dream is to sing Jazz. He owns a chain of successful wine bars. The meet at a dance show of his sisters and they hit it off. She wants to travel, he wants to settle down. Fate has a different story.
Sweet story about realizing your dreams are right in front of your eyes. Love how the characters rely on each other more than want. Great to curl up with before dreaming~
