Camille is now the Fae Queen of Dusk and Twilight. She has assembled her Keraastar Knights except for the last one. With destiny I forefront, Camille finds that she needs to travel to the Otherworld to find her last Knight, but the way is not easy. There are traps and guardians to stop them but with all three worlds in the crosshairs of the demon lord, Shadow Wing, Camille will do whatever it takes to get her knights in order and get ready for the final battle with Shadow Wing that is looming.
I adore Ms. Galenorn’s books, especially the Otherworld series. This was the first books I read by this author and fell in love with her writing style. KNIGHT’S MAGIC is the bridge between book 19, Moon Shimmers, and the next full-length novel, Harvest Song, that is coming out later in 2018. This short but action-packed story that will charm the reader but wet the appetite for the next book in the series. I love how this author continues to keep the characters grow with each story. This is an author who knows how to create a world that draws her readers in and doesn’t let them go.
I am not sure how much to reveal as this is a short story that won’t give away the plot twists and other major information in it. The story picks up a few months after Moon Shimmers ended and continues Camille’s story in a way that picks up the action of the book and answers some questions readers had after finishing Moon Shimmers. I love the characters of the Otherworld. They are diverse and unique. They range the gamut of paranormal creatures, from dragons to witches to spirits and more. Ms. Galenorn has a gift of creating some amazing characters that the reader can’t help but fall in love with. They are multidimensional and quite enjoyable. I can’t wait to see where the author goes in the final books of the spirit seal arc.
KNIGHT MAGIC is a perfect bridge between Moon Shimmers and Harvest Song. But I really recommend reading the series in order as each book capitalizes on the last one. Ms. Galenorn is a master storyteller who delivers stellar books for the reader to enjoy. Now all I can do is bite my nails as the final battle looms and hope my favorite characters continue to happiness.
This short story finishes Camille's task of gathering her Kerastar Knights. She needs a knight for each of the spirit seals the sisters have collected over about 20 Otherworld novels in order to finally battle Shadow Wing & defend Earth from demon invasion.
Cute short story that fills in some blanks & furthers the story before the final 2 Otherworld books are published & the series ends.
This story takes place between Moon Shimmers and Harvest Song.
Camille has been told that it's time for her to gather the Kerrastar Knights into the whole that will help defeat Shadow Wing yet she is still missing the last night but the scrolls have finally been translated and state that the final Knight will be revealed during the ritual that binds them altogether. To complete this ritual, Camille, her Knights, Myrddin, and some family and guards must travel to Otherworld but of course, it can't be that simply. Myrddin tells Camille that there is a Fae Lord in hibernation near the site where the ritual must be performed, put there in order to stop it from happening centuries ago. To have any chance of completing the ritual, they must find him before they start and take him out.
I'm glad this was a short story as it definitely is part of the tale that needs to be told to wrap it all up but didn't fit well into Camille's last book. While I'm happy that we are getting to the conclusion of this story arc, I'll definitely be sad when it's done and can only hope that there will continue to be at least short stories letting us know what is going on in the lives of the sisters afterward.
I cannot believe that the Otherworld series is coming to a close. "Moonshiners" (the most recent book in her Otherworld series) is the first in the trilogy that will complete Ms. Galenorn's saga that has captivated her readers for years. "Knight Magic" is a novella completing just one facet of the jewel she has created. She is tying up loose ends leading to the climax. If you have been following the tale of Camile, Delilah and Mennoly, you will enjoy following the literary threads to the end of their journey. I am excited to finish this series (two more books to go!) and at the same time, I'm sad that it is ending. Still, I have enjoyed every minute of the ride.
This book makes me happy and sad. The book itself is great. I love seeing Camille with her knights and the shock of who the new one is! OMG! Plus lets not get started on that ending. It makes me sad because I know its leading to the end! I picked Witchling up and have been hooked ever since! Anyways, back to this story in particular. You get to see how Camille is coping with being a member of the Triple Threat (hehehhehe) and how she feels about the day to day court proceedings. The plans for the Knights becomes a bit more clear with the addition of the newest Knight. (OMG I WAS SURPRISED) and that ending. Yasmine you are a wonderful tease
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Book synopsis: Camille journeys to Otherworld on a quest to find the last member of the Keraastar Knights. There, she must face one of the ancient Fae Lords who stands between her and the key to fulfilling her destiny. And there, she also discovers that her past has come full circle to meet her future.
Yasmine has her "Other World" going so well I hate to see it end. But as the saying goes " All Good Things Must End " i can't wait to read the last bit of the sisters journey. It been tears at times, bitter, sweet, sexy, joyous, one. I have read all of them over each to a new one came out. Yasmine has made it so seat , & ❤ grabbing, I feel like part of the family.
Anytime I can get my hands on an Otherworld book, I am thrilled! I love the characters and the evolution of their story! This is about Camille and the Keraastar Knights. This is a novella but definitely worth the price! The rich world building is as ever present with Ms. Galenorn's style of writing! Can't wait for the next Otherworld book but also sad because it's that much closer to the end!
This was a great short story, I loved how we got to see into Camille’s life as a queen. The Queen of Dusk and Twilight has to venture into Otherword to do a ritual and find her last knight. The only problem is there is someone who doesn't want her to succeed. This was a fast read, but so worth it. Wished it was longer.
I love Yasmine's Other world series. I'm sad to see it coming to an end, but all good things must come to an end they say. But "Knight Magic" is a great novella to bridge the gap between books to this amazing series. Although the Other world series will be ending, Yasmine has gained a reader for life so long as she continues to write.
Love Ms.Galenorns books as always. This was the perfect book for in between, I think it gives a sense if what's going to take place next. It was short, sweet and to the point.
Again Yasmine Galenorn has left me wanting more. In this story you have laughter and reflection. You also have completion but still the beginning of what is to come. Old friends show up and also a few surprises. Definitely a must read.
This one seriously had me questioning a trusted character! And then!!!! To leave me hanging on that note? Are you kidding me!? Man Ms Galenorn has way out done herself with this short but amazing novella! Well done madam. 5 stars without a doubt
Another fantastic read! I know this was a novela, but as usual I didn't want it to end. I love the ending and cannot wait to read the next book to see if my prediction is correct.
All the Knights come together in this book and I didn't expect the last one. Camille has grown very strong since the series started. What is Delilah's secret?! Hopefully we find that out in the next book ^.^
What a wonderful story! I just love this world. It makes you want to lose yourself in it. This story is an amazing bridge to the next book in the series. I can never wait until the next installment of the series.
A tease for the great fight. Wish it was a novel(want more story). I loved it, well written flows well I💝this series and will be sorry when it ends. It is a must read if you are reading this series.
As always, Yasmine delights and keeps you engaged in the Otherworld series. This was a real nail biter and I finished in one reading. Can't wait for more
Always an entertaining series, this made a good little addition, illuminating a corner of the saga. It would have been a five if it was a fleshed out full book instead of a novella.
