New Years is the time for new beginnings. I thought I’d gotten that when I visited Texas over Thanksgiving. Then again, very little has changed. I’m still a librarian living in the same house. My daughters are growing up fast. Sure, I’ve acquired a new best friend, who’s convinced me it’s time to give dating fair shot. Which isn’t exactly easy when I’m pregnant with an As*hole’s baby. Does that complicate matters? Sorta. But there’s nothing left for me to do except move on. The jagged edges of my shattered heart have been polished, questions answered, and blank holes from my past plugged. Now I’m ready to take the plunge into uncharted waters to build a happier life… until a bomb comes along and tests my strength like never before. Nobody fu*ks with my family and gets away with it. Not even you.

Update: 10/13/17-- The book is finished!!!! Whoop Whoop! Ended slightly over 96k! Which is my 3rd longest book to date. Just slightly behind Vol 3 and BHW. I am super excited about it! I'm editing it now which is time consuming. But I've gotten 9 chapters finished editing out of the 33 total.
RELEASE DAY is November 8th!

The book is coming along. Half a chapter left to finish. I know this has been a long time coming book. But I've been busting my ass the past two months trying to get it ready for y'all.
Right now it's sitting pretty at 94k.
Aiming for an Early November release as long as I can get all my ducks in a row and this badboy finished this week.

DISCLAIMER TO MY FELLOW GOODREADER
This review is my personal opinion and may contain: spoilers, quotes, rants and swearing.

28 year old Katrina "Kat" Remington was lured to a small town in Texas seeking answers regarding the death of her father. She was hoping for closure. The man claiming he could fill in the missing pieces is part of a world she knows nothing about - the President of the Sacred Sinners MC. The truths that were discovered shattered everything she thought she knew. Now she faces navigating not one but two ghosts from her past while trying to protect her daughters from possible blowback.

“I’m a selfish prick. But when it comes to her, I can’t see anythin’ else. She’s the sun in my universe. Nothing worse compares.”

“When they say God only gives you what you can handle, well, he must think I can carry mountains on my back. And I’ll be damned if I prove him wrong. I’m Katrina Remington, and I’m a motherfucking survivor.”

It took me longer than anticipated to circle back to this trilogy, but now all books are out so my plan is simple... binge all of them! Book #2 wanted me wanting to kick the asshole off and on. I am waiting for him to fully win me over. Kat is as fierce as ever given the circumstances. The ending left me screeching.

Cliffhanger - yes (book #2 in series)
POV - Kat, Ryker & Rosie

Initial thoughts: Just re-read book #1. And I will say it again. Gimme.

Oh I need the asshole's book. If better be his...

"Hot diggity damn. I need a Ryker reprieve."

Those are Katrina's thoughts, not mine. I'll take all the Ryker I can get, in spite of his many flaws. That's something I've learned about Bink's writing. Her characters are very real, she doesn't make them perfect, but she makes us love them anyway. She gives her readers some hairy situations to get riled up about and her characters some thick skin to take the abuse coming their way. I get a mental workout every time as I struggle with the journey she takes me on, imagining how I would handle the same choices the characters face. Regardless, whether I agree with them or not, by the time I turn the last page I love them unconditionally and accept them as part of my ever-growing book family.

Katrina is badass and funny as hell. Her ongoing internal dialogue kept me cracking up throughout the story, especially when she spoke directly to me. Her ability to find humor in the midst of heartache made me one of her biggest fans. Her deep love for her family, especially her children, earned my respect and admiration. Her dry wit, sarcasm, and lack of a filter had me dealing with a serious girl-crush. She is amazing. ♥

And don't get me started on her new biker best friend. He's just a crazy as she is and I love him too. The two of them together are hilarious. He's the best combination of sweet, sexy, serious, silly and smart with a side of psycho. He's just what she deserves, someone in her corner, fighting for her to the death if necessary. If only he weren't fictional, right?

And then there's 'Asshole'. That's what Kat calls him. And yes, he's earned that title and then some. I was right there with her, hating him and loving him, and then hating him and loving him again... I kept hoping he would redeem himself and prove that his heart was in the right place, regardless of his actions. But how much is too much for Kat to accept before there's nothing left for him to break?

When danger comes calling, Kat learns that sometimes even the superhuman strength of a ferocious mama bear is not enough. Sometimes you have to accept some help when it comes to keeping your family safe. With her hormones out of control and her heart overflowing she must face the battle of her life, keeping her love and lust from making her decisions.

I'm so very excited to get my hands on the final book in this amazing trilogy, but at the same time, I'm reluctant for the story to end. I'm enjoying it so much I don't want it to be over. But I know that the author has an endless imagination and I need not fear that she will have something equally as entertaining for her readers next. The line forms here...

One of the most anticipated books of the year for me!! Let me just say that it did not disappoint!! Oh my gravy! Bink Cummings is more than just a creative, talented, badass author. She has this knack about her that grabs you by the heart and wrecks you! In every way possible! This continuing story of Kat and Ryker takes you on a ride that you’ll never expect. Kat is still the fierce, strong willed woman full of fight that we met in Hopelessly Shattered. A true mama tiger who stands up time and time again against all odds. Ryker…oh my my, Ryker. He’s still the same bad-boy @$$hole you will either love or continue to hate. Personally, I’m all about #TeamRyker!! He tries! But he’s a guy, so of course he’s going to mess things up. I can see his heart in is the right place, his execution is just off. The chemistry, the funny, sexy, sweetness and heart wrenching emotion you will feel when you read this book will leave you in one hell of a book hangover. Believe when I say that you won’t know what hit you!

Hopeful Whispers was the second book in Bink Cummings’ Sacred Sinners MC trilogy. It cannot be read as a stand-alone but must be read in order.

The storyline picked up a little over a month from where the first one, Hopelessly Shattered, left off. It was the continuation of Katrina “Kat” Remington’s story. And to tell Kat’s story, Ryker Knox’s story had to begin. It was written from a single POV, Kat’s, for the first several chapters, then we began getting Ryker’s POV as well. His POV explained quite a bit in a short amount space then continued to enlighten us as the storyline progressed.

I’ve always loved Kat, she was beautiful, snarky, strong, independent, and resilient. She would always pave her own way, regardless of the circumstances beyond her control. As to Ryker, it depended on the moment. I loved the alpha moments, but hated the other parts of him. However, once we began getting his POV, at some point I began to understand him better and started to love his as well. Admittedly, it took awhile.

I knew going into this book that it was only the second part of a trilogy, so my expectations were that it wouldn’t align with my desire for an HEA yet and that I would probably hate the circumstances. I was right, but I was able to enjoy it as the next chapters of a bigger book and I fully expect to get what I want at the end of the trilogy. That’s still up in the air at the time of this review, but until then, I enjoyed the suspenseful plot within Hopeful Whispers. It was well written and well developed with substance. I also enjoyed getting to know all of the characters better. They were multi-dimensional, complex, fun, strong, and a good bit crazy - they have to be to survive in the world they’ve been given.

As expected, it ended in a cliff hanger; however, I waited until the last book was released so I’m on to immediately start Hopelessly Devoted. And fair warning, I accepted the storyline in Hopeful Whispers as a bridge to Hopelessly Devoted. I have high expectations for the conclusion and it can only end one way for me to be happy.....

5 - 🍆💦- stars!

This book has spunk!
Kat is one sassy, bossy, bad-ass mom, and I loved every minute I was in her head. #epicness

And Ryker. I wanna cuddle him so hard, but at the same time I wanna push him off a cliff. I still haven’t decided on which one. That is one VERY frustrating handsome man!

And Kade! Sweet pumpkin latte, can I please have one? No? Not fair!
Kade is hilarious, warm, totally psycho and SO loveable! #BFFgoalsRIGHTthere

Kat gets kidnapped by the bad guys (they SUCK) then she and her kids are moved from Indiana to be protected because the bad guys ( they STILL suck) are after her and her biker family gotta protect her. And by family I mean the Sacred Sinners! You heard me BIG IS BACK! 😍 *swoon*
Then drama, heartbreak, whiny bitches, and sexy ass bikers are everywhere. *deep sigh of happiness*

This book was phenomenal. It was everything I look for in a book(which all of Binks books are). It was hilarious. Not a chuckle I’m talking about snorting funny. Kat and Kade are the sexy as hell laurel and hardy(lol). Ok now talk about emotional drama. Yes the drama that tears your heart out cause you just want to fix the hurt and pain. Bada** heroines. I mean the heroines that you just shoot your fist in the air and shout Yes. A little hot sex and a whole lot of sexual tension. Then yes there was ugly crying. All in all read this book. You will not be disappointed believe me!!!! Great job Bink!

I don't even know where to begin my review of this story. I feel like any review would lead to spoilers. This is the second story following Hopelessly Shattered. It picks up in Kat and Ryker's life and takes you for a ride like no other. Since I first found Bink (don't ask me how I don't know) I have loved her work. Her writing style is so unique and I find that nobody compares to her. This story while you could read without reading the first, you will be lost. So, I recommend you read Hopelessly Shattered first.
Kat is probably one of my favorite heroines in a story. She has strength, tenacity, and a heart so big with love for people even if they don't deserve that love. I found very early on I was a #teamkat fan. All she endures and still has this outlook on life makes you love her even more. As always Bink makes the inner dialogue phenomenal. You feel like you are living in Kat's mind and along for the whole gut wrenching, heartbreaking, and beautiful ride.
Ryker, Ryker, Ryker... what can I say... I wanna kick his ass. The road is paved with good intentions but DAMN, that man has a lot of pot holes he's made. I really want to be on his side, but I just keep wanting to strangle him to DEATH. The positives of Ryker are that he is devoted to his family. While he made wrong choices, he is genuinely trying to make it right. I give him props for fighting to make his HEA happen. I do feel like he was put in a bad spot and I really want to say more about that but can't. It would spoil too much. Negatives on this man, I wish he could tell SOMEONE what's going on. Nobody knows, not even Rosie and just someone on his side would make it better IMO. I will say the moments with Roxie, yeah, that tugged at your heart like no other.
Kade is the BFF everyone wants to have. We see two very different sides of him, but he is by far my favorite supporting male character. I love his personality and all that he means to Kat. Bink made him into the friend any girl would want to have.
Rosie... well... I'm gonna need her story like yesterday. She by far took the drive for best secondary character in any series. You gave me so many questions with her and I need answers... NOW. J/K I'll wait patiently since greatness takes time. Truthfully she was a wild card that I didn't expect and couldn't imagine this story without her.
If you've read Bink's stories before then you know Big. I have to say, I didn't want to throttle him in this story like I did in the others.
Vanessa, well I would LOVE to go all Xena on her ass. When Bink writes a character you hate, you certainly hate them down to the core. She is one evil and vile chick that I just kept rooting to disappear (I promise not to ask how).
I could not put this story down. I am anxiously awaiting book three to see how this all plays out. Phenomenal book and series by this author! Must read!

OMG! WTF! NO, I seriously cannot believe this book ended like that. Hopeful Whispers needs a massive ass cliffhanger warning!

If you haven't yet read Hopelessly Shattered...drop everything your doing and get to reading. This is not a standalone but a continuation from that novel. because of this I'm not going to dive into the story itself because of spoilers and such.

Unlike Hopelessly Shattered, Hopeful Whispers is told in several point of views. mainly we have Katrina's p.o.v. but we also have Ryker's pov. I loved getting a glimpse into Ryker's thoughts. especially with all of the issues the characters are going through floating around in this novel. without Rykers pov he would have been an easily hated character instead of one of my favorites.

Katrina's internal monologue isn't all over the place in this novel like in hopelessly shattered. in this novel she is portrayed as a stronger character. I loved her and Kades friendship. Their back and forth banter was hilarious. As for her and Ryker's relationship. .. it honestly broke my heart but no matter the outcome, I will always root for these two.

Overall, I am enjoying the hell out of this series! I am literally dying inside with that ending. I need to know what happens!!!

THIS BOOK❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kat still faces each day with her daughters as her anchor. When she is kidnapped, she really believes this is her end. They want her dad but she will never give in. When Ryker and the MC comes to the rescue, he makes he decision to move them to Texas. Why can’t he just leave them alone? How much more of this heartache does she have to endure? Between Ryker and Vanessa, Kade is her saving grace. This book is delicious. EXCELLENT writing with a storyline that will blow your mind.
I can’t wait to see what this Author has in store for us concerning Kade ❤️❤️

Bink Cummings has done it yet again, ladies & gents!!! She has blown my mind YET.AGAIN! And I loved every freaken second of it!!! I devoured this read and man was it amaze!! Kat is one bad ass female and she hella strong and independent which I love! As for Ryker...well the love/hate continues. Although my hate is dissolving so very quickly. He’s winning me over...but only a little (yeah, I’m lying. It’s more than just a little). There’s a scene at about the 58% mark that he had me in tears! You’ll see what I mean when you get there! The man is beyond swoon-worthy so if you were like me where at the end of Book one you wanted to rip into him, trust me that’s not gonna hold. Then we have Kade!!! Man I love this guy! He’s just all around amazing. As for everyone else that’s a supporting character... love, love, love!!! One character aside. We won’t say her name...but let’s just say it rhymes with Dumbessa.

Anyway... this read is one hell of a rollercoaster ride that will have you going all kinds of crazy with all the different emotions that it makes you feel which you will be sure to love! I know I did!!

Looking forward to book 3!!! Like seriously!!!!

Bink is my new guilty pleasure author. I normally hate cliffhangers ( I deducted a star for this one).

I love Big Dick. He is my second favorite douchebag (Duece is hard to top).
Kade needs his own book. Dickcheese is just to awesome for a Novella.
Rosie is a kickass character also. I'm hoping we find out her story also.

Ryker is a moron, Kat really needed to move on, or at least get some strange. I'm not a fan of the h only being with H when the same cannot be said about them.

I'm hooked though and can't wait to find out who the real baby daddy of Vanessa's son is. Not for one minute do I believe Ryker is. Is it possible for a man who only has daughters to produce a son, yes, yes it is. But in this case, she was a shady as fuck person and I don't think the baby is his.

Please, for the love of all that is holy, DO NOT make us wait a full year for the ending.

What a Web....

This is just a step up from the first book. Here Ryker is still juggling two women he impregnated at the same time. He claimed he loves the h, but married the other woman. The fact that he abandoned her and their two daughters for about 8 years is unforgivable. There was one incident which turned my stomach. His having sex with Kat in a clubhouse open kitchen, and his wife walked in on them and he didn’t stop until they both came was mind boggling. Then the fact that he turned to his pregnant legal wife, and sweet talked her was nauseous. He left the stupid h to fend for herself after. What a douche and what a doormat of a heroine. There were other things that went on which I won’t mention here. My sensibility is highly offended. Maybe love makes you do stupid stuff. I don’t know. There is a limit to what a heart should take. That’s all am saying. It is a good thing I borrowed this through Kindle Unlimited, otherwise I would have returned it.

Ughhhh! S**t, F***k, d**n..... OK now that I got it out of my system.

Let me start this book was five stars all the way. I should’ve known when I got to 90% that there was going to be yet a third book. This is why I hate to read series before they are completely published.
This book is by far one of the best that I’ve read this year. But then again Bink never fails to disappoint. I only wish there were 100 more books of hers that I’ve yet to read. I so thoroughly enjoyed this book that I’m sure I will read the first two before the third is published for a refresh. I would love a book with BInk, Kat, Ryker, and Big Dick. Wouldn’t that be the bomb? I absolutely cannot wait for the third installment.

I went to Book #3 and read a spoiler to find out who she ends up with... Nope not interested.
"Love" isn't enough to justify someone treating you and your daughters like you are worth anything but the entire world. Fuck Boys shouldn't be winners and selfish bastards don't get the girl in the end in my world... so I'm out.
(the author wrote the story beautifully but I'm just not interested in her story)

Hopeful

***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review***

It was so good to finally delve into the circumstances surrounding what happened after the first part and I have to say the Bink draws you in with no hope of escape. If you thought the first book rocked your world then be prepared for the next installment and trust me you will need to be because this book was phenomenally written and there's nothing I can say to bring it justice. Kat is a woman that we all strive to be, most women might be all closed off to love but there's always that one person who can penetrate our walls and for her that's Brent (Ryker, baby daddy extraordinaire). This pairs chemistry is inexplicable and its no denying that they are made for each other. What will become of pair you definitely need to check it out and believe me when I say you must start with Hopelessly Shattered this is a series you will fall head over heels for I know I did and can't wait for
more.

If you have never read this author, you are so missing out! She has this way of telling a story, it is like the heroine is sitting down and telling you a story. Her books always suck me in.

This book follows right where Hopelessly Shattered leaves off, so make sure you read that one first. It felt like I waited forever for this book to finally come out. And yes, this book does also end in a cliffhanger, a pretty big one too. The author says that there won't be as much time in before the next book comes out.

Hopeful Whispers is such a well written, all consuming book. I absolutely loved it, even though it has the hated cliffhanger. There is just no way this story could be told in one book. This book has everything you could ever look for; passion, violence, love, hate, laughter and tears. Oh it is so good!!!

Oh man alive it's another cliffhanger! But..boy what a terrific story so I forgive the author.

Katrina is pregnant with Ryker's third child but living by herself and her two daughters. Ryker has made a screw up of his life but when Katrina gets involved in a retaliation situation, he is the knight on Harley armour!

I enjoyed everything about this book; its quirkiness, great sense of humour, dramatic action packed scenes, romance and familial bonding.

It's a quick, easy book to read with the pace trotting along at a fast clip.

The characters are all believable and you can't help but like them as you become more in tune with each one.

Bring on book 3 please.

Fantastic

I'm surprised at how much I love Ryker and his Tiger. Especially, considering that he is technically married. However, he admits his faults and it is apparent how remorseful he is.

The snark, humor, bantering, and storyline is superb. I have laughed out loud sever times. I'm enjoying getting a more inside look at what Ryker is feeling this to around too.

OMG

Ryker is such a sh!$ I swear! Kat is a serious baddie tho and she deserves to have the world laid at her feet for everything she's gone through. Honestly getting to know Ryker better has made me like him a little more even if he keeps yanking Kats chain. Seeing him get to know his girls is special. And I'll throw in how much I still love Kade and his bond he's making with Scarlett. All I could scream at the end was NOOOOOO! Please Bink do t do this to us, but I guess I'll impatiently wait for part 3. Ryker and Kat are made to be together and I hope part 3 will give us the ending we want

Holy. F*cking. Shit!!!

I’ve waited what feels like ages for the continuation of Katrina’s story and the wait was SO damn worth it! I was glued to every page from start to finish and left on the edge of my seat once more. While the previous book didn’t involve much MC involvement, this part of their story not only have me more of the emotional turmoil and heartache Katrina has battled with since her trip to Texas, but now there’s drama that’s appeared in her life that totally uproots her life.

This was jam packed with emotion, laughs, love, suspense and action. This book was a complete recipe for a story that kept me engaged with its characters and their lives. Bink Cummings has been one of my favorite writers since reading her first release. Her writing style is my absolute fave. I can’t wait for the conclusion, because I don’t know if my heart can handle more heartbreak. I need that HEA that Katrina so deeply deserves.

The MC just gets worse, man. Jesus. So now we discover more about how he knocked up the FMC this most recent time. He had knocked up Vanessa already, and they were getting married in a week. He flew out to see the FMC. KNOWING he had no intention of reconciliation with the FMC, he sold her lie after lie, made her think that they were getting back together, she was breaking it off with her boyfriend, and he'd be back at her house in the morning when their daughters woke up. Instead, he hopped on a flight back home, and married Vanessa. HE KNOWINGLY lied to her, fed her this crap.

Bonus: He never even got a DNA test on Vanessa. Even though Vanessa has apparently tapped a LOTTA his club.

Any of you have kids? Cause you're gonna loooove this.

MC donated sperm for 3 kids. That's it. No interactions. But after the club's drama gets the FMC kidnapped, and beaten, and touched, and her face sliced up, MC decides he's going to run her life. He brings the 2 daughters he has never met to him. He makes them breakfast, makes nice to them, introduces himself (though not as their father). Then he sends those 2 girls away, out of state, with a man they have never met before... to live... permanently. He quits the FMC's job. He unenrolls the girls from school. He cuts the utlities to the house.

ALL WITHOUT SPEAKING TO THE FMC. Now, picture someone, anyone, whether you love them or hate them, shipping your girls off with a stranger out of state, without your knowledge or consent. Think about your reaction on that.

Cause our FMC? She responds by ranting for a sec with childish threats ("I'm comin' for you, you best sleep with one eye open". But not in like, a scary, actual threat way. The tone and context was just hormonal pregnant chick rant. He smiles during it. He gets hard over it. She does zero emotional damage to him. None. Instead, she flirts with him, and agrees that he was right.

She's disgustingly weak, and sooooo out of touch with reality.

Cummings, what have you done? What are you doing? This... this is a train wreck. I don't even mind the MC at all for being an abominable human. Why wouldn't he be? The FMC doesn't just allow his behavior... she encourages it. Who wouldn't walk on her, if they have an open invitation?

Umm...Bink you are such a tease. But I can't help myself.

Title: Hopeful Whispers
Author: Bink Cummings
Genre: Contemporary Adult Romance and MC Romance.
Release Date: 11/9/17

Hold the phone, lock the door, put the kids to sleep because like all of Bink Cummings books steam is a given.

Okay, so this is book 2 in Sacred Sinners Texas. It was supposed to be a duet but will end up being a trilogy. In these books we meet Katrina. A librarian who originally thought her father was dead. She met a man, fell in love, had a child, man left, came back, got her pregnant again, left, Kat goes to Texas to meet someone regarding her dad only he isn't dead and baby daddy is married and wifey is also pregnant just like Kat. Kat is preggo with kid #3. All this is book 1.

Now, Hopeful Whispers: Baby Daddy Ryker wants to be around and Kat's dad has made her a target from some bad guys. Major spoiler: it ends on a serious cliffhanger that makes you want to strangle someone.

The author has weaved a tale of heartache, passion, love, betrayal, and hope so well you find yourself cheering on characters. Begging characters to behave certain ways. It is abundantly clear this author is a talented writer. She is able to convey the heart and soul she used to write this part of a very emotional story.

In parting, Bink if you read this, I so want a book with Roasie as the lead. I love her. Take a bow Bink Cummings, you are an awesome author.

Hopeful Whispers by Bink Cummings is the second book in the Sacred Sinners MC - Texas Series. This is not a standalone, you must read book one, Hopelessly Shattered, first.

Hopeful Whispers picks up where the story in Hopelessly Shattered ends up. Katrina McIntyre, sexy librarian, is a single mom of two daughters and pregnant with her third child.
The childrens father, Brent- Ryker, a rough biker, left them all years ago and moved on, so it seems. He´s married and lives his life. Katrina is lonely. Then she becomes the target of a rival MC and now the story picks up.

I started reading and was hooked from page one. Hopeful Whispers is a extremely well written book that kept me at the edge of my seat. The story is great and I love the words and the characters, not only the main characters- the sidekicks are great too. I´d love to read more about Kade and the eggplant.
I connected with the characters, I loved and I hated them. I cried and I laughed. And at some point I was so angry at them. And now I´m sitting here with an book hangover and really, really can´t wait ´til the next book in the series releases.
I recommend Hopeful Whispers and give 5 stars. Thank you, Bink Cummings!

I'm trying to like this series, but it's hard. It's so OTT, and the H and h are hard for me to like. The h moans and gasps all the time. Everything is orgasmic. She's horny on every page. It seriously gets tiring. I know she's hot for her ex, but it's too much. Everything could be solved if people just communicated with one another. It would solve a lot of shit and unwanted injuries. Oh, and of course at the end it looks like the H's wife Vanessa is going to croak conveniently moving her right out of the picture. I see where this is going probably. h is going to raise ow's baby. Oh man do I dislike that troupe. Rosie is a character introduced in this book who is the h's bodyguard, but she's so badass that it's hard to believe. I have combat training and this was so unbelievable. I mean she's tiny and beating Kade's ass and throwing ninja stars like a damn pro. Kade is the H's younger brother. And he's supposed to be badass. I mean I know this is fiction, but for me, especially during fight scenes, it has to be a little believable. I don't know. It's just my preference. I do like Kade though. Without him I'd probably drop this series. Sorry for the negative review. I seem to be unlucky as of late with the MC genre.
