Dissension: A Deliverance Novel By: Kristy Centeno 5 out of 5 stars
The story Dissension: A Deliverance Novel by Kristy Centeno is a paranormal/fantasy/romance book. It is the second book in the Deliverance series and I loved it just as much as the first one. I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the final page. I would suggest reading this series in order as the first book introduces many of the characters that appear in this story and gives information on their background. You also are introduced to why the characters are in danger. It makes for a smoother reading experience. The story picks up about a year after the first. We find Hayden trying to adapt to the world around him. With help from the one that he has fallen in love with he has made a lot of progress and he wants to believe that he can live as normal a life as possible. His world is then turned upside down and he finds himself having to protect those he cares about as danger is coming at him and them from many different sides. There are those that have an agenda that is evil and would do anything in order for the plans they have to succeed. Will Hayden be able to thwart their plans and keep those he loves and cares about safe? I love the character of Hayden. He is a hybrid who with help escaped the Institute where he was a prisoner. His story is one of discovery, as he had never lived in the world outside the Institute. He is a protector of the one he has fallen in love with and would do anything to keep her safe. He is a character that others rally around and they give him his trust. This is a story with immortal creatures, plenty of action, as well as danger. I also enjoyed reading about many of the other of the characters in this book. Most of them are helpful to Hayden, however, there are those who are responsible for the danger he is facing and work against him. Will Hayden discover who is working against him before their plans are implemented? Can they be stopped? This is a book that had me on the edge of my seat and wondering what was going to happen next. Hayden is finding out revelations about himself. He has decisions to make that affect not only him but those around him as well. Come and read about Hayden’s continuing journey. This is an author that has written a wonderful book and series with amazing characters. I can’t wait to read what she writes next.
Dissension is the Deliverance series by Kristy Centeno. It is a fantastic paranormal story- with action, drama, thrills, excitement, edge of your seat suspense, gripping danger, supernatural elements, romance, and much more. There is so much packed in-between the covers of this book- the story pulled me in and kept me hooked right till the end. The story picks up a few months after the events in Deliverance (Book #1) and we are thrown right into the action. I have to say that it is every bit as good as the first book and I was so engrossed in it that I read it in one sitting. Although this could be read as a standalone if you wanted to, I really recommend reading the first book to get all the backstory, character information and other relevant details that will enhance your reading experience of this book. It has been 6 months since the Institute was destroyed and all the captives were liberated. Hayden has spent the time adjusting to the world outside, building a life with Kristina. He is a very quick learner, but the transition hasn’t been easy. But now they discover that Gerald Radcliff’s business associates are determined to recreate what Gerald had achieved and pick up where he had left off. They have been scouring the countryside looking for all the hybrids, recapturing them for more experimentation. His life just became even more dangerous and will set off a new chain of events that will trust them ll into a new battle. There is a lot at stake, and Hayden will discover more about his past in the process. Ms. Centeno has written such a powerful, detailed and vibrant story- she had me on the edge of my seat, following along to see what would happen. The story had twists and surprises that I didn’t see coming-all I could do was hold onto my seat and enjoy the ride. The author has done an amazing job with her character development, as I was completely under their spell from beginning to end. The characters were fully realised, with their own unique traits and personalities. There was a lot of love, skill and attention to detail put into their conception and actualization. This is a superb second instalment to the series and I look forward to more from Ms. Centeno!
This is the second book in the Deliverance Series by Kristy Centeno. I would HIGHLY recommend that you read book one, Deliverance, book #1 before you read this book. It will make a lot more sense. I read both books in order and fairly close together, but I struggled to pick right up off where book one leaves off and know exactly what was going on. This is mostly my reason for the four-star rating on this one as opposed to a five. I found it harder to follow. As if the story just had too much description and added side characters. However, once I got into the story I found myself progressing faster than I had thought I would and gripped pretty well. There is a cliffhanger so be forewarned of that. I only forewarn because I typically don’t enjoy the briefness of cliffhangers unless the series is amazing. This does however, strategically, have me hooked and waiting for the next book in the series to come and answers several questions I was left with at the end. This book continues the adventures and tribulations of Hayden/ Tiger and Kristina. We also see several of the characters that I loved from the first book, like Grandma Rose and Castile. Just when Kristina thought that her and Hayden were going to have a chance to figure out how this new life they have was going to work between them they are thrust into another life or death scenario. All in the darkness of the night lurks the monsters that are out to settle a new score with Hayden. When Kristina is taken from him he will stop at nothing to find her and fight for her. There is much of the same amazing detail of a world that is supernatural and unreal, yet so feels so real as you are reading it. I was transported by each and every word into this dark world that has demons and adventures hidden around every corner.
Dissension: A Deliverance Novel by Kristy Centeno is the second book in her Deliverance series. I highly suggest reading the first book before this one as this one picks up almost right after the previous one ends. This is an enjoyable paranormal story that is fast reading and easy flowing. I enjoy this author's writing skills as they pulled me in right from the beginning. Her characters are creative and vary from hybrids to humans to immortals. They took me on a journey of twists and turns that left me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what was going to happen next. Hayden has not had the easiest of life as he finds his way in living outside institutes He is a hybrids and has been trying to live his life as normal as can be despite the curve balls life throws at him. Now his life could be in danger. Then his life gets turned upside down and his family may not be safe. There are those looking to destroy the hybrid who are threatening to destroy their way of life as they know it. Will he become the monster he has tried so hard not become? I enjoyed all the characters in this story. The story is told by a couple of different characters perception but the story flows. Sometimes stories can get confusing when an author does this but this author has done this conversion very well. I felt some compassion for Hayden because he is trying to hard to find his place and to make things work with his girlfriend. We get to see him struggle but we also get to see him grow throughout the story. I also enjoyed how we get to see a couple of characters from the previous book. I highly recommend this book. Find out what happens next with Hayden as he struggles to make decisions that effect everyone.
Dissension is the second book in the Deliverance series by author Kristy Centeno. I would not recommend reading this without reading the first book as Dissension begins a year after Deliverance ends. Hayden is trying to assimilate with Kristina and Rose, doing his best to calm the beast within. That works until he is asked to help round up the rest of the hybrids that were released when the Radcliffe program and its leader, Gerard, came to an end. Things are never so cut and dry though and soon Hayden and Kristina are facing impossible odds once again, throw in vampires, werewolves and humans that are out to destroy the abomination and you have another race against time. It’s never a guarantee that a second book in a series is going to be a good one, to say that I enjoyed this book more than the first would be an understatement. I can’t believe what a terrific read this was! The author did an extremely good job of ramping up the action. I liked the way the story was told and that you got to hear from Hayden, Kristina and Castiel. The separate voices made the story that much more rich and exciting. I was on the edge of my seat for 80% of this book and could not wait to see what was going to happen next. It was so good that I can even forgive the fact that Dissension ends in a cliffhanger. I just hope that this author writes quickly because I don’t know how long I can wait for the next installment.
Dissension is the second book in the Deliverance series. This book happens a year after the events in the first book, but in order to fully understand the story, I suggest reading the first book. Plus, the first book is superb, so why wouldn’t you want to read it!
Tiger/Hayden has been free from his previous oppressor for a year. He’s been learning how to be more human and has an even deeper connection to Kristina; still, he’s always known the peace wouldn’t last. When a series of events fall into place, he realizes that no matter what he does, he will not be able to protect the ones he loves…but he’s going to go down trying if he has to.
In the process of unraveling motivations of those who are after him, Tiger/Hayden also starts to learn things about his past. Unexpected allies come to aid him, but he doesn’t know whether they are going to prove trustworthy. Just when he thinks he has gotten to the bottom of everything, he realizes that he made a mistake that may end the one thing he now lives for.
One of the things I enjoyed about this book is that you start to get more background on some of the supporting characters. It gives you an understanding of the reason they chose to do the things they have done. I particularly liked the deeper aspects of the Gabriel and Castiel characters.
This is the second book in A Deliverance Novel. I can honestly say I was not disappointed with this book as it picks up right where the first book ended. I would highly recommend you read the first book to fully understand the storyline in this one. There is a so much action and movement in this book. It gets a little confusing sometimes as the characters were moving back and forth between camps. Who is right and who is wrong? Who will help and who will hinder?
Hayden has a world of hurt coming his way. Since he is half vampire and half werewolf and a little human all species are looking to eliminate him. Does he care? Not at all his only concern is Kristina and getting her through all of this unharmed.
Kristina did a wondrous job on helping Tiger/Hayden have more human traits. She thought the tough times were temporarily over but now a new problem has arisen. Kristina is a tough girl. She does not hesitate to do whatever it takes to protect Tiger/Hayden even from himself.
I was entranced by the storyline in which these characters were told. There is still so much to find out about considering the way this story ended I'm hoping there is another book to follow. Don't take my word for this go and grab your self a copy and see for your self, Like I said if you haven't read the first book I highly recommend it first. Happy Reading
Dissension (A Deliverance novel, #2) by Kristy Centeno was fast pace, action packed and had me just as engrossed and emotional invested as the first.
Hayden, man it's been a while since I fallen hard for a MC. I don't know what it is about him, but from the moment I read about him in the first book, I got super attached. What ever magic the author has woven into him, worked, cause I am invested. Sure the other characters are great too.. but Hayden is the star of this series.
This is the second book, so I'm going to keep my comments on the plot and over all story to myself because I don't want to spoil the first book. But I will say that right out of the gate we are tossed into a hostile world. The flow matches that danger, and the pace is near perfect.
This book, this series is truly one of a kind and deserves to be read and talked about. As I said, I am emotionally invested in this story. The writing is smooth, easy to follow, it has this urgent rhythm that keeps you on edge. You are dragged into this hell on earth and you become apart of Hayden team. You're there, not just with him, but everyone.
Take my high recommendation that you will become just as or more invested in this story as I am. This is a unique read that will have you wondering why you it took you so long to find it.
Dissension : A Deliverance Novel, Book 2 By Kristy Centeno 5/5 Stars
Oh how I’ve been waiting to read this book!! I enjoyed the first book, Deliverance so much!! I’ve Just been patiently waiting to read the second book , waiting to see what’s going to happen next! Now, my only issue is… I read the first book, Deliverance ...well over a year ago. It was a bit tough to remember exactly what had happened. But once I started reading, it all started to come back to me. This story continues where the first book left off. Many enemies, of a variety of species, are out to hurt Hayden...All because he’s a mixed breed. But all he cares about Kristina. Will he be able to keep her safe? They are each strong and independent characters. But together , they are a force to be reckoned with! Kristina helps Hayden/Tiger discover powers he didn’t know he had and help him come to terms with the powers as well! Their love and admiration for one another is endearing. I enjoyed to see how they developed as a couple and and an individual as well! Krista did a wonderful job, with this story! It’s full of action, drama and suspense! Once you start reading, you will not be able to put it down!! Great job , once again! I can’t wait to see what’s next!!
Wow! I am really liking the way Kristy Centeno can not just bring you into the story but wrap you in it. I felt Kristina’s frustration, Hayden’s worry and the fear from everyone, humans and other beings as well.
This story is second to Deliverance, which is book one and it almost answers all of the questions. You must read Deliverance first, in order to have all the questions you need to ask. I am still wondering what Grandma Rose is hiding. Gabriel is more than a secondary character in this story but I also wonder about him. Hayden, just wants to live as normal of a life as he can. And after reading this story I am now wondering about Kristina herself!
This paranormal adventure keeps you guessing as to who is the ultimate bad guy. There’s some violence of the paranormal type. There is a lot of mystery. Of course there is still love between Kristina and Hayden.
I can’t really say that this story ends in a happy ending because I would be lying. It does, however, end with a twist. A surprise if you will. But be warned, not all surprises are good! I can’t wait to read more by Centeno and can definitely recommend this series!
Dissension by Kristy Centeno is the second book in the Deliverance series. This story picks up a year after the first book leaves off so I would highly suggest reading this series in order to get the most out of them.
Hayden, the man formerly known only as Tiger, has had a year of peace. One year was all he and Kristina had where they could simply be together and not worry about fighting for their live. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. When he is asked to help track down the remaining hybrids that were released it should have been simple. With enemies on all sides looking to destroy him and his beast looking to come out it will be anything but.
This book was absolutely amazing. The action was intense and well written. The romance between Kristina and Hayden was very well thought out and getting to watch these two grow was one of my favorite parts of this series. I really liked that there were some new characters introduced that will help to keep the story fresh and interesting moving forward. Another five star read from an excellent author and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
Dissension (A Deliverance Novel} By Kristy Centeno
I really can’t pick a favourite between Deliverance and Dissension, they are both as great as each other and another awesome cover. Dissension picks up from Deliverance with Kristy waking up in bed alone and she had no idea where Hayden has gone. She only knows he is missing as the barking of Cujo has woken her up. However, her gut instinct has told her that not all is right at this moment. Since its now gone quiet with Cujo’s barking stopped she decides to go looking for Hayden, nearing the stairs she sees a shadow but doesn’t have time to react before she has a knife at her throat by someone demanding to know where Hayden has gone. She can’t stop thinking where has Hayden gone, and is he safe? Grandma Rose then comes out of her bedroom with a gun aimed at the stranger who is still endangering the life of her grand daughter and tells this stranger move away from Kristy before she fires the gun at him, he laughs thinking she won’t. But then he doesn’t know just what grandma Rose is capable of. Does grandma Rose pull that trigger? Also, will Kristy escape the clutches of this dangerous stranger?
Dissension was a great 5 star read. This is the second book in the Deliverance series.
You get pulled in right from the beginning when there is a home invasion in search of Hayden (Tiger). Jovian is looking for Hayden’s help. It seems that Gerards partners are searching for the hybrids. Will Hayden help Jovian? Or will he fall into a trap?
There is more action, mystery, suspense, and lots of paranormal characters. I was all over the place on who the enemies were, just when I thought someone was the good guy there was a twist and nope wrong again. I really liked the edge of your seat moments through the whole book. Kristy once again pulled me right in and I couldn’t put it down until I was done.
Hayden and Kristina continue to have a great connection. I love how attentive and protective Hayden is of Kristina. Kristina is a very strong and protective of her man. The secondary characters added a great element to the story, I loved grandma. I feel like there is still so much more to learn from this series and of course we end in a heck of a cliff hanger. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Dissension: A Deliverance Novel is a paranormal/fantasy story. This is the second in the series. I would recommend reading Deliverance first so that you can easily follow along the storyline. Ms. Kristy Centeno has a way of grabbing you from the first word to the last word. She does an amazing job of storytelling. She has fully developed characters and scenery which makes your imagination easy to picture in your mind’s eye.
This story has Hayden/Tiger and Kristina right where Deliverance left them. Hayden tries to keep Kristina out of harm’s way. Hayden wants to have a normal life. Somehow this is a problem for him as he cannot have a normal life. Everyone who is with him is not safe as well as being without him. Kristina was taken away by two vampires and he is trying to track them. This is all done in the cloak of darkness as the light of the real world is for the humans and not the paranormal characters. I do not want to give too much away but I personally cheering for Hayden and Kristina.
Dissension by Kristy Centeno is the second book in the Deliverance series and I couldn't wait to read it after reading the first in the series. I would definitely say you will not get the full background of the world and how far these characters have come without reading the first book in the series. Going in to this book I was fully attached to the main characters and was happy the story picks up where the last finishes off. I did find the beginning hard at times as it was heavily descriptive of the world but it creates a feeling of realism, that even though a world where humans and monsters exist, it feels as though you are in this world. Hayden is still desperately trying to find his place in the world and figure out how to make it work with Kristina. Kristina thought that things were going better, she doesn't realise that there are still others out there that aren't happy with Hayden's new life and seek to destroy it. Hayden will do anything for Kristina and the book shows that. There is a lot questions unanswered which I hope we will find out in the next book!
Dissension by Kristy Centeno is a must read! This is the second book in her Deliverance series, this series is one of a kind, it’s honestly unlike any paranormal books I’ve ever read. This book is intense, twisted, dark, unexpected, riveting and a true page turner. I would strongly suggest reading this series in order as it’s not intended to be read as standalones. Deliverance, book 1, should be read first in order to fully appreciate this book as it starts off directly where the first book left off.
Kristy Centeno is a phenomenally talented author who’s writing always manages to captivate me, I was even hooked right from the prologue! This is the type of story that completely pulls me in making me forget about the outside world, the type of story that has me wanting to read it one sitting but also wanting to take my time as I just don’t want it to end. This is a book and series I will always recommend! I absolutely can’t wait to continue with this all-consuming series once book 3 is released!
Dissension by Kristy Centeno is the second book in her Deliverance series. This book follows immediately on from the first one so it is recommended that you read them in order. We are taken back to Hayden and see how he has adapted his life and is living it just how he wants. That is until a new threat becomes apparent, putting everything he has worked for in jeopardy. Even though it is a risk Hayden must once again stand up for himself and to protect those he cares about unless he wants his world to fall apart.
I thought this was a brilliant follow up to book one. I felt that we really got to see Hayden’s character develop throughout this story, even more so than we did in the first book. This storyline was just as gripping as the first and had me hook led from start to finish. It was well written and left me wanting to read more. I cannot wait to see what else this author produces.
Dissension by Kristy Centeno is the second book in the Deliverance series. I highly recommending reading the first book before the second. This book picks up where the first left off so that is cool and allows the story to continue without big gaps. There is a lot going on in the story and it kept me reading until the end. I hated to put it down, but work called :). Hayden is growing as a character and has lots of important choices he must make. There are other characters that were in the first book also and it was cool to see their stories progressing. There is an ease to the storytelling that kept me involved and great characters. There is some supernatural, immortal, human but all play a part in the story. I look forward to more from the author.
The storyline was great with this book and it really keeps the reader turning each page. The author does an amazing job with just about everything from the theme and plot of the story to the characters. There were a few places in the book where so much was going on at once it kind of got a little confusing. However, once I made myself slow down and try to sort everything out I was able to. It is probably best to read the first book in the series or I feel as though many things will be overlooked or not understood in this story. I really like how the author has developed her characters and she writes in a way that you can visualize each one. You will not want to put the book down until the end because it keeps you guessing and you just want answers.
Dissension ( A Deliverance Novel Book 2) by Kristy Centeno. This is the second book in this series and also the second book by this author for me. You should read the first book prior to starting this one, just to get a better understanding of the characters and storyline. We are back with Hayden and him trying to find his place in this world outside of the Institution. He is trying to not turn into the monster that everyone expected him to become. This book is a complete turnaround from my usual genre. I truly enjoyed it, along with the the first book. I look forward to reading more books from this author.
Dissension is the second novel in the Deliverance series by Kristy Centero. This is my first novel by this author.
Continuing where the last book left off, a year has gone by Hayden is still trying to get use to things. Hayden and Kristina think they have time to figure things out involving their new life but soon things because life or death.
When Kristina is taken, Hayden will stop at nothing to find her.
While it had a slow start and took a while to really get into it, once I did, I was hooked.
For someone who paranormal, I highly recommend this but I would suggest reading the first book before reading this.
I would highly recommend reading the first book of this series before reading dissension as the story pretty much starts where the other ends. Well what can i say i was hooked right from the start kristy done it again had my eyes glued to the pages was sucked into the novels world was amazing. Paranormal reads aren't usually my cup of tea but i have enjoyed this series so far which if I'm honest shocked me i didn't think i would be able to enjoy it well i was absolutley wrong brilliant story!
If anyone is thinking of trying this author's work I would have to say to go read deliverance first as this book picks up from where deliverance left us. The story immediately draws you as did the first book. This was an amazing follow up the first book and the author definitely delivered to us for this series. Amazing storyline with inventive but relatable characters. I don't usually read this genre but this series is like a breath of fresh air. Very well written and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Dissension by Keisty Centeno is the second book in the Deliverance series. As this book directly follows Deliverance I would recommend you read it first. I truly feel like you would be lost without the critical information in book 1. I love paranormal books and this one is great! Kristy Centeno did a great job setting a good pace in this novel. I loved this sequel!
This is the second book of the Deliverance series, and I highly recommend reading the first in order to get a full immersion in this paranormal adventure! Engaging from the start, the descriptions of this fantasy world are so vivid you feel like you are right there with Kristina and Hayden on their journey! Love the mix of supernatural characters & humans in this series! Kristina continues to be an amazing heroine, and Hayden is a complex well written character as well. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
Dissension (A Deliverance novel #2) By Kristy Centeno Rated 5 stars
This book picks up just about after the last book, Deliverance. I was a bit confused at first because it’s been over a year since the last story. However once I got into the book It didn’t seem to be much of a problem. There is a TON of action and movement in this book. There was so much that sometimes it was confusing as the characters were moving back and forth between camps. Who is right and who is wrong? Who will help and who will hinder?
Hayden has a world of hurt coming his way. Since he is half vampire and half werwolf and a little human all species are looking to eliminate him. Does he care? No his only concern is Kristina and getting her through this unharmed. I throughly enjoyed getting to know Tiger/Hayden in Deliverance. As time passes it nice to see him grow and check out his new abilities. Kristina did a wondrous job on helping Tiger/Hayden have more human traits. She thought the tough times were temporarily over but now a new problem has arisen. Kristina is a tough girl. She does not hesitate to do whatever it takes to protect Tiger/Hayden even from himself. The secondary characters are numerous! There are many we knew from Deliverance along with new characters introduced. I have a few favorites and Drake is one. Even as a wearwolf he is not afraid of Hayden and does much to help him out. Gabriel is my most favorite. Even though he’s a vampire he has such compassion. He is portrayed so well in the book i can picture him in my noggin while reading. He is super smart and very helpful. The Vampire twins Castiel and Nyall are great! Nyall is super annoying to Castiel (hello...brothers!) and their bickering adds an element of humor to the story. Jovian...not a fan of him. Her epitomizes a vampire..cold, sneaky and has his own agenda. This story drew me in again. I was entranced by the plight of the characters. There is still so much unknown and I see there will be another book as this kinda ends on a cliffhanger. Don’t worry you get a lot of action and adventure in this one. So you won’t be disappointed. I can not image what will happen next.
I'm so glad I got a chance to read the 2nd book in the series. The 1st book was awesome and I'm glad the characters fall over into this book. The 1st thing I want to say is the main character can't catch a break in life. Everyone is after the poor guy. There's a lot of action and it keeps the story flowing. I like that the main character has a lot of help from the girl in the book. I don't want to give anything away because that would spoil it for you. It would definitely help to read the 1st book and I would definitely read them all.
