I loved the cover of this book!
The story? Jessa is a nineteen year-old college student who's had a crush on her father's friend for a while. Her deepest fantasy sparks to life when her father has to go out of town for a couple of nights and Jessa is home alone with Rye.
This story was your typical smutty read: a pinch of depth, a faint hint of characterization, a few erotic scenes, and all is well at the end.

Smokin' hot cover on this one. Great representation of the hero. OK composition (the authors name is awkardly placed IMO) and interesting title work.
I enjoyed this one but it wasn't one of my favorites of the series. It was SUPER short and SMOKIN' HOT for sure, but I also found it repetitive. No OW/OM drama. Very insta. Virgin heroine (19). An older hero (39ish?) who hadn't had sex in awhile. All wrapped up in two fairly decent epilogues.

And then their mutual desire became hard to resist. As I said, this was short. It had non-existent character development and very little in the way of plot. It was smut, plain and simple and it gives you just what you expect. I happened to enjoy it and will continue to look forward to whatever Jenika Snow thinks up next!

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I've been a fan of Jenika Snow's work and especially Real Man series since the beginning of last year. They're a fantastic series featuring short novellas filled with bad ass heroes and heroines that you can definitely relate to.
Animal was definitely following the same formula as Jenika's other works. Rye is a typical gruff and territorial man that wants one girl and only one girl who just so happens to be off limits. Jessa is a young and innocent girl who knows Rye because of her father and his illegal dealings that include armory that could probably send everyone to jail. They fight their urges to tackle each other and have their way with each other through every page.
The reason why this story wasn't a perfect 5/5 read was because it took a little too long for Rye to jump her bones. I know. I'm being unfair. One minute, I want a slow burn. The other, I want the temperature to start at 100 degrees on the first page. I'm being unfair but really, Rye and Jessa are so hot for each other that I just wanted to see them smash. LOL

This is the fifteenth book in the A Real Man series by Jenika Snow. Rye Jaxon is her dad's business partner and best friend and he's also the muscle of the operation. She's 19 and well aware that her dad and Rye's business is illegal and she still wants to climb him like a tree. This was a quick but oh so hot story about an experienced older man and innocent younger woman. * He wasn't a whore he actually hadn't had sex in years before her.

The real men series im try to read them all lol this one is a younger woman/older man who works with her father in the gun business.. they try to stay away from eachother knowing they shouldn't be together but that's over and done with once Rye and Jessa both know what they want.. i wish these series were abit longer.. :( its hard to connect to them.. and i wanted the dad to be alittle more angry before being cool with his business partner dating his daughter..

ANIMAL is about Rye, a mob leader who fell in love with his business partner's young daughter, Jessa. The chemistry between them had a bit of an excited tension at first, and quickly became explosive when her dad left her alone in the house with him. This was a sexy quick read with an older man alpha-male hero and a satisfying HEA. Rye is a perfect addition to Jenika Snow 's collection of real men. I have read and loved all the books in this series so far, including this novella, and I am excited for more to come!
