AYLA

Six years ago, he showed me the best night of my life.

But I never found out his name.

Our night of passion was quick and explosive. I relive it in my daydreams, constantly.

It was out of character for me to have a one-night stand, but there hasn’t been a second that I’ve regretted it. My desire is borderline obsession. No other man will ever do for me.

Somehow, I can live on that one night forever.

Life since that fateful night has been anything but a fairy tale, unfortunately. I work two jobs so I can raise my son, Preston.

My baby is worth every bit of lost sleep, but I still can’t stop thinking about his father and what might have been...

MICK

She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.

I’m Mick Merryweather, former secret agent for MI6, clandestine mercenary, and now the bodyguard of the most powerful man in Las Vegas.

Six years ago I met the woman of my dreams; an angel in a city full of sin. Our moment together was all too brief, and despite my talent to track information down, I never was able to find out her name.

Yet there isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t think about her. My obsession with her is what drives me on my darkest days.

I can live on that one night forever.

I had just begun to accept that I’d never see her again. What were the chances that she even lived in Las Vegas? Or that she’d remember me?

Until one day… it happens. And nothing will ever be the same.

Because the woman of my dreams has a secret of her own.

WARNING: This is an over-the-top love story of epic proportions. (And a lot of Insta-Love) So much is at stake with these lovers and yet their stars have crossed for a reason. If you love scorching hot, passionate moments and secret babies, then this story might just be for you. (Guaranteed HEA included, naturally)

Almost seven years ago, Ayla had it all, straight A student, recently graduated high school, bright future, supportive parents, as long as Ayla didn't color out of the lines they set for her, and then she lost all of it upon confessing she was pregnant, from a one-night stand, by a man whose name she didn't even know. Her parents disowned her due to "their shame at Ayla's predicament," her life became all about providing for her baby, which meant constantly working and relying on the help of others as needed, but...she got Preston out of it, and she wouldn't trade him for anything. Her confession? She can't stop thinking about the man, Preston's dad, and wondering "what if?".

Mick, former British Royal Air Force and member of MI6, knows loss, having buried both his brother and dad, as well as loneliness. His work is not conducive to any kind of stability, and that includes relationships. But now, nearing forty, the injuries to his body are more prevalent, migraines have since joined his ailments, and he has no real ties to show for any of it. However, his thoughts constantly return to her...the beautiful girl from the nightclub that he saved from drinking a drugged drink while he was there protecting his client. A kiss that started as a way to avoid detection, even though he'd been attracted to her upon first sight, led to so much more than he could've ever imagined. For a long time, he looked for her, hoping to see her again, but, unfortunately, he never did.

Life has inevitably continued for Mick and Ayla, though neither have never forgotten the night they shared, however, both are beginning to resign themselves to the fact that that's all it was, losing hoping they'd ever find each other again. But fate, thankfully, has other plans.

Ayla and her roommate, Desiree, are flipping through the channels one night when Ayla sees a familiar face on the news. They're discussing a casino's expansion, and behind the owner, Winston Watterson, is Preston's dad. Now if only Ayla could find out some information on him. Two days later, Desiree, working for a smaller casino, is able to provide a name. Ayla, while visiting her sister, Amy, in LA, is able to connect some dots through Amy and is hopeful she'll finally have a chance to see Mick again, and introduce their son to his father. However, nothing comes of it and Ayla and Preston begin their journey home. Things have a funny way of working out though...

Will Mick and Ayla reconnect? How will Mick react upon learning he has a son? Will the connection between Mick and Ayla still be there? Will the three of them become a family? Is there a HEA in their future?

One-click now and follow along as two people reunite after almost seven years, though neither have ever forgotten the night they shared.

On a purely personal note, though it is implied, I wish it would've actually been stated that Mick hadn't been with anyone since Ayla. To clarify the implication, we learn he's basically been obsessed with thoughts of her since that night, even using a visual of her to "take care of himself," and we learn, during a conversation with his boss who advises Mick on the vast availability of women in Vegas, that Mick has never been into that scene. Therefore, at least in my head and please don't ruin that for me, Mick has been celibate the whole time he and Ayla were apart. But again, as I said, I really wish it would've been actually said, letting the reader know for sure that's the case.

OMG, I can't believe that I almost didn't read this! Sylvia Fox is a new author to me and suggested by Amazon because I read similar books to hers. I read this in one sitting! It's not quite as long as a regular novel but not a novella either. It's somewhere in the middle, but short enough to read in a few hours!

Most, if not all of this author's books are about older men and younger women. Quite a few of the synopsis' that I read were about a younger girl(of legal age though) and her dad's best friend. Gross. Or her best friend's dad. Even grosser. BUT, while Obsession is a story that was about an older man and younger woman, there's a 14 year age gap, there was no "dads" involved.

Mick and Ayla meet at a bar she and her friends snuck into when she 18. He rescues her from nearly being date-rape-drugged and then they have the most mind blowing one night stand, that neither of them can forget about the other for the next 7 years. Unfortunately, they didn't get the other's name or phone numbers. What Ayla did get was preggers! Seven years apart, hoping to find each other again, and then randomly meeting at a gas station. It's all hearts, flowers and rainbows from there!

Thankfully, this is a romance novel where the man is perfect, the sex is always mind blowing, and there's ALWAYS a happy ending! (Seriously, Ms. Fox wrote a fantastic hero and even though there was a 14 year age difference, it totally worked, and I applaud her!)

This books is listed as erotica but there's much more story than sex in this book. I wouldn't put it in the erotica genre.

When Alya's one night of fun at a club in Vegas leaves her without knowing the name of the man who stalks her dreams and has left her a constant reminder she deals with the aftermath as best as she can, still obsessing over him almos7 years later.
Mick, a Former Secret Agent, turned bodyguard wishes he knew more about that girl from the nightclub, stunned to know she was only 18- she was something different than any other women- 7 years go by he still thinks about her, regrets how they parted.Wonders what she is like now.
Fate has a way of stepping in when you least expect it

Fate has a way of playing with people's life and the story of this book is the proof that no matter how long it takes if things are meant to be then it is just a matter of time before all pieces of life come into its own place. I confess, this book had my emotions all over the place. A girl who gets pregnant after a one night of intense passion with an older man, is really a big event in someone's life. In this case both characters have held onto this wonderful memory and both have banned any new relationship from their lives. Under curious circumstances they meet again and they both realize that fate has given them a second chance. Sylvia surprises me more more because this is not her typical story but I can confirm that she hasn't deluded my expectations. Passion and steamy scenes are here intensified but they are the right dose to make this book a unique read.

Sylvia Fox never disappoints and this book was no exception.

This book pulled me in with the first chapter and kept me turning pages to see if and when these star crossed lovers would meet again and if they would find the other felt the same as they did after a one night stand that had some amazing results.

This book has a steamy beginning with a definite HEA for more than the couple involved.

I actually ugly cried during the last chapter, it had such an amazing ending. And the Epilogue was outstanding. So many broken hearts were healed.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary ARC of this book and look forward to the next in this series.

Getting pregnant at 18 was not what Ayla wanted to happen, but it was even worse when she did not know her baby daddy's name. After 6 long years of struggling to make ends meet and working two jobs, Ayla finally sees him on TV, but it's the chance encounter at a convenience store that brings this family together. This was a great read, with strong characters and an interesting plot. This was more than just a book sex filled book. This is Sylvia Fox's best work to date.

Obsession

A beautiful story about two people who met, were attracted to each other, but unfortunately their lives took them in different directions. But even a chance encounter can leave a lasting love, which is how Mick and Ayla always felt over the years, by accident they found each other again. Read on, to see their story unfold, what a beautiful story it is❤️. Loved it.

When I first started reading Obsession, it took me a little bit to really get into it. After a few chapters, the story really started unfolding and I couldn't wait for them to finally find one another. I had some confusion when a chapter would go back and forth between point of views but that really is the only complaint that I have. I definitely recommend giving Obsession a read!

This was such a fun read!! Ayla and Mick have a hot encounter in Vegas one night but end up separated before even finding out each other's names. Six years later and neither of them has forgotten the other.
Very sweet, romantic and fun read with some hot and steamy scenes! I couldn't put it down; I absolutely recommend this book!!

I volunteered to read an ARC in order to provide an honest review. I freaking loved this story! And the thing is, I am willing to bet that stuff like this happens all the time, just not always with this kind of ending. Mick and Preston totally grabbed my heart.

I loved this book and What a great Love Story!

The characters were destined to find each other from the start and withstood obstacles that most would fail. I highly recommended this book to all the romantics in the world.

Good read

This was an interesting story while it is a case of instant love, it takes 7 years for the HEA after the initial hook up. Uniquely done and quite entertaining.

Such a great story! Two people with amazing chemistry meet and have an explosive time together and then part ways. Ayla has worked her butt off providing for her 6 yr. old son without the help of his father or her family. Mick has known heartbreak in his life and he did things in the military and for MI6 that left mental and physical scars! The time he spent with Ayla has stayed with him through the years and he's obsessed about her a lot. Ayla has obsessed about Mick as well but she figures that she'll never see him again so she's living day to day, working and raising her son! Years later they bump into each other and the spark is still there! Things between them moves rather quickly after that! Looking forward to the next book!!

**I received this ARC in exchange for an honest voluntary review** This is my first read from Sylvia Fox & I wasn't completely disappointed. Sweet story w/ a bit of a taboo older man/ younger woman one night stand, insta-love, secret baby relationship. Nothing really exciting about this storyline & didn't really even feel the "obsession" between Mick & Ayla. Overall, not a bad story but not a super fantastic story either.

Obsession was a good story but I think this kind of plot would suit better to a full-length novel because, from the main characters' reunion, the story felt rushed.
