Logan Moreau had everything. He was a 37 year old billionaire with a successful company. He had a family that adored him and he could have any woman in Manhattan whenever he wanted her. The only thing he didn’t have was the one thing that could keep him from losing all of that, legal citizenship in the United States. Logan’s visa was about to permanently run out and he had to think of a way to stay in the country or be forced to be separated from his family and leave everything he’d worked so hard for behind. When his PA suggests he gets married, he thinks she’s lost her mind. When she hires an intern from the Midwest specifically for that purpose, he laughs it off. But the closer it gets to having to leave the more he begins to panic and think that getting married wasn’t the worst idea after all. Especially since the intern Chloe happens to be hot and smart and everything else he’d ever think of looking for in a woman.
Chloe Dupree is a fresh out of college girl from a farm in Minnesota. She’s in New York for the first time in her life, alone and in a world she’ll have to struggle to understand. She knows she’s out of place at the big Manhattan firm she landed an internship at, but she’s confident in her ability to do the job and that’s all she’s here for. At least that’s what she thought until she laid eyes on Logan Moreau. He’s the hottest thing she’s ever seen and on top of that he’s kind and generous and for reasons she can’t understand, interested in her. Chloe struggles with being suspicious of his motives while at the same time falling more deeply in love with him by the day.
But will her love for him be strong enough to survive her finding out the secrets that he’s been hiding?

First, I found the writing a bit flat. It wasn't as richly descriptive as some others I've read.
Second, I had a number of issues with the plot. I'll take each in turn. I didn't find the set up that he needed to marry to stay in the U.S. credible. I know that this plot has been used before, but there were some problems in this particular execution. I'm pretty sure that there's a category of visa for anyone who employs enough Americans to be able to legally become a resident and then a citizen. So a billionaire would clearly qualify. Also, he's from Canada, which has a rather different set of visas for temporary workers. A different country would have helped in my mind.
Chloe was naive to a point of almost being dumb. She was a flat character, there was no clear development in my mind. Really, you're going to do this after just a few weeks? Sharp financial analyst makes very un calculated decision. Didn't sit right with me.
I only read the first two books (there are "bonus" books! who knew?). I tried to read the third but could not get into it. I didn't like any of the characters, there were too MANY characters. How many books in a row can you really read about a sex-crazed boy-man who suddenly decides he MUST be with this one girl and change his ways??? And even while he's decided he must be with that one girl he is still sex-crazed, only now it's all directed at her. Oh, and the fifty orgasms every time they have sex? Come on. I realize this is fiction but I can't suspend my disbelief THAT much. Also: the first book's main female is named Chloe. Second book is also Chloe, but not the same Chloe. Second book also has a minor character named Cindy. Third book has a Cindy but not the same Cindy. Please can there be more diversity in character names? For real...
Honestly, I can't really say I haven't fuckin tried to give my full attention to this story and to its characters...I fuckin tried...
But when you dislike the main male character from the start, it' s really hard to continue the charade...
So why did I? You might wonder... Fuck, I wonder that myself, I have wondered that same thing many times before...and i have no answer appliable other than an obvious case of masochistic tendency bordering with an OCD compultion which makes me obsessively finish any project I start...
So there...the secret is out...lol
Anyway, the story of a billionaire that misses out on a due date to report and revise his immigration status as his visa has expired...he forms a plan to marry his new young and naive intern after he charms her into seduction.
Nontheless, he falls for her in the process and when if all comes out in the end, hearts are broken and betrayed...but nothing matches the true power of love, and a whole lot of groveling.
Unfortunately nothing seemed credible to me so therefore i cant give a higher rating.😒
Boring heroine. Boring Billionaire. Potential 'marriage of convenience' that fell flat. HARDLY A LICK OF CHRISTMAS ANYWHERE!
I like those MOC tropes that has either the H/h needing to get married ( though the plot for this felt silly ) but what ruined this for me was the dastardly planning between the idiot billionaire with his secretary to dupe the naive heroine. Sure, there was a plot twist with the secretary, but it was kinda a shitty thing for the billionaire to do and I didn't like it.
Plus, he wasn't any kind of billionaire that I like.
And did I mention there was hardly any Christmas! What is it with authors who shove Christmas in their title and yet don't offer up a plethora of tinsel and ho ho ho'ing!
Lots of surprises and twists and turns in this one! Chloe just moved to New York from Minnesota. She has a devious, opinionated and really pushy room-mate who makes fun of Chloe's clothes. Logan is the CEO of her company. He is young, sexy and rich. But he's about to be deported back to Canada and he really needs to get married in order to remain in the states. Logan should come clean about his problems before his enemies reveal everything and Chloe walks out of his life!
Yes... This book is just as silly as the title sounds. :) Chloe was so naive she was hard not to perceive as stupid. Mel though, she might be the bad guy (or rather the bad girl) but she was way cool.
Logan is a Canadian but resided in US. To avoid being deported in two weeks' time (if not mistaken), he has to find a solution. His most trusted assistant suggested to him the only one, fastest way to avoid being deported is to marry a US citizen. His assistant did a great job in finding a girl, made her as an intern in the company. His task? He needed to woo Chloe, make her believing that he loves her and get married and voila! SOLUTION.
Pet peeves: 1) Insta-love 2) Romantic relationship between boss and staff
I did enjoy the story but it also frustrated me. Firstly, the premise that a Canadian billionaire had toasty or he he would be deported from the US is a bit ludicrous. I am not American, but even I realise there must be other options. Secondly, I didn’t like the age gap. It became a bit of a power play — 37 yo billionaire vs 24yo naive farm girl. And the sex was exhausting — sometimes you just need it as a quiet expression of your feelings. The book could also do with an editor. I did like Logan’s interaction with his family. It was very down-to-earth and loving. Chloe did the right thing when using that to judge him as a good man, especially when he had done the wrong thing by her to begin with.
Logan and Chloe capture your heart in this holiday tale. Logan need a wife fast or he will be shipping back to the Great White North. Enter Chloe, sweet farm girl fresh in NYC and excited to make a splash at her new internship. Little does she know that she was choose for position for a step up the social ladder not the corporate. Logan may think he is a jaded playboy who can just marry for a greencard but really the marshmallow falls hard for the farmers daughter with a heart of gold. Throw in steam nights and a lot of backstabbing and betrayal and we got ourselves a tale. Very nice start to a new series. Plus who doesn't love a holiday themed book!
This is a story about a Billionaire having to leave the USA if he can't stay as his Visa is running out so Marriage is a way of staying
While this is a nice story i would have thought that the USA would be kicking out a Billionaire wouldn't happen & he a Canadian
His PA comes up with the marriage idea he not that sold on it but he goes along with Mel so she comes up with Chole who he has to get to fall in love with him
You don't take to Mel or Chole's flatmate Lilyanne but most of the people are nice & it is a nice story
Chloe is fresh faced and fresh out of school, hired as an intern by Logan's company. He needs to marry an American to get his citizenship, otherwise he has to return to Canada.
With his assistant egging him on to make Chloe fall in love with him, he tries to get to know her. But, she's more than what he bargained for, and Logan finds himself more and more interested.
Chloe falls in love with Logan, thinking he feels the same. In fact, he does, but doesn't realize it until it's too late and he's lied to her about the immigration issue. It takes some resolving, leads to a logical happy conclusion.
I like both characters, but Logan less so, because his guilt doesn't make him turn around fast enough to make things right. I didn't like Mel or Lily much, they weren't good for either Chloe or Logan. Their families are both full of good characters, from 10 year old Kimber on up. Really like Josiah.
This is a good story about Josh and Kylie who have been best friends since college. They decide to take a trip and while they are gone Kylie's ex-boyfriend decides that he doesn't want anyone else to have her and is watching her very closely. What will happen to Kylie? Will Josh and Kylie take their friendship further than just best friends? If you are looking for a good holiday book, start here. Enjoy.
Billionaire Christmas: A Standalone Novel by Claire Adams
Chloe and Logan's story was very entertaining and I couldn't put my Kindle until I finished reading it. I also got caught up in all the added bonus stories which were really good. This was a great buy that I recommend to anyone.
I loved Logan and Chloe's story. It had some unsuspected twist and turns with the plot. It was well written and well developed. My only concern is that I was 19% into the book and the story I purchased was ending. That was disappointing to say the very least. It included several other bonus books. That
Festive books need to be warm, and heart tingling and full to the brim of every conceivable notion you can think of that says Christmas. We want the mush and the overt seasonal sentiment. You can't just place 'Christmas' in the title and that's it.
I didn't enjoy the plot or the characters. The billionaire was a dickhead.
Logan & Chloe Started off under false pretenses, but Logan, who meant for Chloe to be a means to an end, winds up falling for her. Logan is facing leaving to go back to Canada when his assistant comes up with a plan to secure his citizenship. Enter innocent Chloe, who is excited to move away from home to the big city to start a dream job. Then she and Logan have sparks flying, and they are caught up in a tangle of a mess of the lies Logan Started with, and with meddling from Logan's assistant, his ex-wife and Chloe's abrasive roommate, they face uncertainty , but eventually everything works out!
Logan needed a wife, Chloe fit the criteria. What happens when a Billionaire convinces a farm girl to be with him? Find out in this Christmas novel with family coming together and new friendships and relationships form.
Very enjoyable story. Ultimately this is a wonderful happily ever after. This story covers betrayal, honesty, trust, love and explicit Hot sex. Off to read the next book in the series.
This was a quick easy read for my #HoHoHoRAT challenge. While the premise of the story was very compelling I had a difficult time liking Logan and I felt like Chloe was a little sanctimonious. Still I enjoyed their families and the cottage by the sea. And I really loved the ending. Good if you're in the mood for a Christmas redemption story.
This was a fantastic book loved how it took a Minnesota girl and brought her to New York and how she turned her life to a hard working women. Not to mention working for a billionaire! Even if it was all Set up!!
I loved this novel and all the other mini novels in it loved the book from beginning to end Major Hot these books and I wasn’t putting them down until I finished Thanks Claire Great Novels!!!!
This is a beautiful love story with a little mystery, some ups and downs, and some steamy sexy scenes. The characters click with some awesome chemistry and some added humor.
I absolutely loved this book!!! The characters, the story line, the pace at which everything evolved it was just great... The perfect read to set the Christmas mood!
