Taylor Lee is a Best-Selling Author of sexy, romantic suspense stories.
From steamy to sizzling to scorching, Taylor's books introduce hot gals and even hotter guys taking on the evils of the world. As the dangers rage, their passions flare!
All I can say is Wow! This book was intense on so many levels. Jorden, the oldest of the Justice Brothers, is father to Chloe and Emma, ages 16 and 10 respectively. He has a vindictive ex wife who blows into town wrecking havoc. Jorden also meets his daughters basketball coach and school psychologist, Mac (McKenna), and there is an instant attraction.
Jorden is into a little kink, and Mac discovers she is more than willing to take a walk down that path with them. As their relationship develops, they encounter and have to deal with the wreckage Jorden's ex-wife brings with her.
This book discusses more than your average teenage problems, deals with issues from an alpha male who is still recovering from his destructive marriage, has a strong intelligent woman standing with her man until she can't, and enough suspense and romance to keep you intrigued from page one.
Some people may feel that Jorden pushes the edge past alpha male to abuser. His character does take it to the edge, and as you are thinking he fell over it, you realize Mac is fully on board with what he is doing.
My only regret is that the book resolves Jorden and Mac's situation a little too quickly for me. I would think that it would require a little more conversation, but, it is what it is.
I started this book, and could not put it down until I finished it. Romantic suspense at its best. Another Taylor Lee success. I think this may be my favorite of the series so far. You also get to revisit the Justice Brothers and the Judge. I want to say so much more about it, but I will end having spoiler alerts throughout, so I will leave it at this. I definitely recommend this book if you want something sexy, suspenseful, and intense.
I voluntarily read and review the Advance Reader Copy.
I will first admit that this story hit a trigger for this woman who was a child of a broken home. I only wish that parents who must divorce not use their children against each other. This is the third story in the Justice series but you can easily read it as a stand alone. Our arrogant , self righteous hero (his words) is a single dad doing his best to bring up two beautiful well balanced girls. Unfortunately his ex wife returns to throw a huge spanner in the works. McKenna Durant is the basketball coach at a very posh school. Dealing with the parents of over privileged girls and their parents can be difficult. When one of the girls starts to go off the rails she can only hope she can help, even though the girl thinks she is the cause of her problems. A very tense and emotional story, with a sexy cast of characters that might set off triggers in some people. A very good read.
Jorden Justice is the oldest of the Justice brothers and the Assistant US Attorney and has two girls Chloe and Emma. Jorden has been divorced from his psycho wife for about seven years now. She was a beautiful woman, but was pure evil. Jorden had tried to make the marriage work for his children. But when she took the children when Chloe was nine and Emma four to a house where they were taking drugs in front of the children, and Chloe and Emma snuck away to call their father, he had a restraining order against her to see the children and divorced her. Unfortunately she is back in town and the whole Justice family is afraid of what she is going to try now.
Jorden was at his daughter’s basketball game when he noticed her coach McKenna Durant or Mac for short. She was a tall redhead and beautiful. Jorden hadn’t been this interested in a woman for years. Jorden’s brother met up with his brother Jude, Jude’s girlfriend Skylar and Mac at a restaurant after the game. He was getting to know Mac a little better when he innocently said something about Chloe’s 16 birthday party and how she was going to get a dress with her mother. Jorden exploded and left the restaurant. Mac felt bad, but Jude explained what was happening. Mac was not only the basketball coach, but also a psychologist.
This is another great book. Francine, Jorden’s ex-wife causes so much trouble it crazy. It is hard to understand how a mother could do some of the things she did to her oldest daughter. I definitely could not stand her. I felt that part of the story was left up in the air. There were some real man haters for a judge and attorney that did unthinkable things too. Joden was a alpha man all the way, but he met his match in Mac. Mac’s father was a famous basketball player and Mac played basketball in the Olympics. Mac had a bad relationship in her past that had her wary of men. Luckily the Justice family is a strong loving family who has each other’s backs. I always love hearing more about the brothers I have met in previous books. This story had a lot of sex, love story, manipulation, loyalty of family, and so many other things. I encourage you to read the book as is was very good. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
I really enjoyed this story!!! We finally get the story between Jorden and his ex-wife and get to know his daughters. This story has great characters and is well written. Mac is the new basketball coach and therapist at Jorden's older daughter's school. Thankfully she is around when Jorden's ex-wife shows up. She is a major piece of work and doesn't care at all whose life she screws up, or how bad, even her own daughters. I thought Mac was an awesome character! She has a great attitude and she's real. She makes mistakes but she owns them. I thought this was great because it made her real and believable for me, especially with the situation that they end up in. Jorden and Mac are immediately drawn to each and have a connection. Theirs is a little trickier since Jorden has 2 daughters that he takes care of. I loved the action in this story and the characters. I was drawn in from the beginning and couldn't put the book down once I started. I wanted to know that Jorden and Mac were going to be able to work everything out with all the crap that Jorden's ex-wife was causing and of course make sure that his daughters were going to be okay. The sex is explicit and hot, just like the rest of Taylor Lee's books. It fits the characters and the story perfectly. The sexual tension and the characters' sexuality play a part in the story. If you have read and enjoyed any of Taylor Lee's books than I'm sure that you will enjoy this one as well. This is the 3rd book in the series but can be read as a standalone. I can't wait to see what the Justice Brother's get up to next. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Well this is the third book in the Justice brothers series and focuses on the oldest sibling, Assistant US Attorney, Jorden, his two daughters, an estranged ex wife and the new basketball coach/psychologist, 'Mac' Durant. The plot had good potential;...evil, trollop of an ex wife casting revenge in a custody battle over two, young impressionable daughters. Prejudices in the legal system. A good father and a new relationship but.... ...Jorden, like every male character this author creates, of late, was ignorant, arrogant, unlikable and unnecessarily crass. The 'strong' female lead was anything but. I just felt the story was gappy, rushed, jumpy and missing any real depth. Crass language and animalistic sex overtook everything, (even the underage sex issues). And Jesus... how have these hot, sexy, men sluts not fathered hundreds of children??? Safe sex is none existent!! Needless to say, I was disappointed. Even reading the epilogue I felt the deeper story was unfinished. No spark or connection between the two leads. Basically, not a patch on her earlier works. But I do see the same repetitive characters again and again. I think Taylor Lee fans will be disappointed. 2.5*
This "Justice Brothers" contemporary romance was an outstanding book. I didn't expect this book would be as good as the last but it was better. There were numerous intense moments. There may be a couple of triggers in this book due to the main alpha male characters (Jorden) teenage daughter. Jorden is an alpha male just as all his brothers are. He is the oldest brother who has a 10 & 16 year old daughter with his ex-wife of several years. The oldest, Chloe, goes through numerous incidents that are challenging for parents of teens. They deal with underage drinking, sex and drug use. Jorden is an intensely sexual man and a dominant lover. His ex-wife comes into town and tries to hurt or destroy everyone in her path including their daughters. Mac is the all girl schools basketball coach and psychologist. When Mac & Jorden meet there's combustible sexual tension. Their path is anything but easy. The Justice family don't do anything easy or without flare. I received a complimentary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to the other books in this series and by Ms. Lee.
Another Justice brother finds the lady of his dreams. Mac, the impressive basketball coach who makes an impact not only his daughters but his family and more importantly him. What happens when the mother of his children returns and wishes to have joint custody! It's emotional and intense. Great read.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Jorden is the 3rd book in the Justice Brothers series, and it is by far the most emotionally charged one so far. Jorden, a single father of two young teenage girls is captivated by his daughter's stunning basketball coach, Mac Durant. When Jorden's ex-wife decides to move back to town and be a "mother" to her children, all hell breaks loose. Jorden deals with divorce, addiction, the corruption of minors, and statutory rape; all while Jorden and Mac are falling in love. Another phenomenal book by Taylor Lee!
This book had a lot of depth that I didn't expect. It is definitely an intense read with lots of drama, action, and romance to keep things exciting. The characters are enjoyable and have a relationship that you can't help but root for. There were parts of the story that were tough to read, but they made the ending that much sweeter. Excited for more in this series!
Nobody can do sexy times better than Taylor Lee. Written in dual point of view. We are able to connect with both the H and the h. Taylor's books always give us excitement. In this case it's a very evil ex-wife. It also shows the very negative side of child custody. Especially when you're dealing with a very selfish, very nasty ex. Justice is never sweeter.
