Ainsley Daniels wasn't the first girl to crawl out of my bed, she's just the first one I was dying to drag back in.
As lead singer of the most notorious rock band in the world, people kiss the ground I walk on. I could have anyone I want. Any time. Any place. But I want her. And I'm going to have her.
It's been over a year since I first laid eyes on her; one long year this storm has been brewing. A twist of fate finally hands me the chance I've been waiting for. I'm about to remind Ainsley just who Kade Black is, and this time ... I won't let her walk away.
Jane Anthony is a USA Today best-selling author of contemporary/new adult romance & women’s fiction. A reader proclaimed “queen of angst”, she approaches tough subjects with a gritty voice that tugs on your heart and leaves you breathless.
Jane gives a bit of herself and her quirky knowledge in each novel by incorporating her love of music through a book-specific playlist and adding things uniquely Jane to the plot, like her crazy family or '80s trivia. When she’s not busy being mom or Mrs. A, you'll find her at a concert, lost in a book, or watching horror movies with her husband.
I anticipated to read a story based an Kade but instead everything was all about Ainsley, a frustrating, wearing, draining and discouraging character.
The love development was too rushed, almost nonexistent. How could Ainsley realise that Kade was her other half in less than a month ... And if she really believed it, her behaviour that followed, towards Kade, showed the exact opposite. The storyline dragged with back and forth, I couldn’t wait to reach the last page... I am too worn out...
This was the first book, I have read by this author. Sadly, will also be the last. For me, have a hard time reading first person. Seems so self centered. I get caught up with all the “I’s”. Even getting past that, the book did not hold my interest for many reasons.
By chapter 3 it was predictable for me. Same ole story. Bad boy falls in love with a goody two shoes girl. He is damaged but has fallen for her. She on the other hand is a basket head case. Too self absorbed to see past his image. Low self image, confidence, damsel in distress,
The book is called Kade. Unfortunately, the reader doesn't learn more about him until Chapter 17. I, for one, wanted to know more about him and not the sniveling, weak, self absorbed Ainsley. I thought he was the main character but from reading the book, didn't seem to be. Wanted to know more about the band. Was very lacking in this department.
As for Ainsley, personally I came to dislike her. Many times wishing for the chance to either shake her or smack her. Her personality was to back and forth. Self conscious about her appearance but wearing skin tight leather pants or bright bikini. A few times left wondering how Kade got her out of her clothing, did they magically disappear. She drew him in only to push him away. Playing with his feelings and using him. Ainsley is a weak, self absorbed, whinny, woman
All in all was a disappointing read. The book should have been called Ainsley. Was about her. Kade was a secondary character.
I haven’t read a rocker romance in awhile because I was burnt out. But Jane Anthony did a rocker romance sooooo amazing and it didn’t feel like it was just another rocker romance, it felt real and raw and when Kade loves, he loves hard! The immediate connection and chemistry was undeniable and sparks flew! I LOVED Kade and wanted to shake Ainsley to make her open her eyes and take a chance again on love. But Kade Black is a force to be reckoned with and his love is what every girl wants! This is the best rocker romance I’ve read in awhile and I am SO glad I took a chance on a rocker romance and I’m not disappointed at all! The ending makes you love Kade even more!

MY THOUGHTS: This is the first time I have read anything by this author and I look forward to reading further releases from her. This is a stand-alone and I am not sure if it is going to be a series or not, but I sure would love to see more about the members of Black Diamond. I love books about musicians and I love second chance romance, so this book gave me two of my favorite things!
For Ainsley, Kade Black is every woman’s dream, also her biggest crush. He always has been. Tall, dark, handsome and the body of a god. His voice is sexy as sin and his cocky swagger drives her crazy. Ainsley has joined her best friend on the tour of Black Diamond for 6 weeks. Her best friend owns her own PR company and is working with Black Diamond on promotions. She brings Ainsley along as her assistant hoping that Ainsley will be able to forget about her lying, cheating ex-husband that’s on a family vacation with their daughter and the cheating Nanny.
When Kade Black sees Ainsley, he immediately wants her. Her sexy curves and her beauty blow him away. He wants Ainsley and he always gets what he wants. They agree to one night of no strings attached passion after a night of drunken confessions by Ainsley about her cheating, controlling ex-husband.
Kade is a passionate, loving man and Ainsley ends up having a passionate 3-week affair with Kade. The chemistry between these two is off the charts! There is a lot that happens in this 3 weeks! Then she realizes that this isn’t her life, even though Kade wants her to stay on the tour with him. Ainsley’s friend has decided to stay on the tour as she has fallen for the drummer and wants to see where it goes. So after her last night with Kade, she sneaks off the tour bus after a tearful goodbye with her friend and out of Kade’s life. He tracks her down and begs her to continue the tour or even agree to a long distance relationship, but Ainsley refuses. She has to think of her daughter. She can’t leave her home and move to LA to be with Kade. She is heartbroken and so is Kade.
Fast forward one year and her best friend is getting married to the drummer of Black Diamond. Their wedding will be in Ainsley’s hometown and she is the maid of honor. Kade Black is the best man. Kade has been waiting patiently for another chance with Ainsley. A chance to convince her that he loves her and will do anything to have her. Even leave Black Diamond.
This is where I am going to leave it. There is a lot I left out and there is a lot more to the story, but you are going to have to read it and find out what happens. It is a beautiful and heartbreaking love story and I loved every minute of it.
If you like books about second chance romance give this book a try. Plus, there is a bonus! It also includes rock stars!

Kade was a stand-alone by Jane Anthony. It was my first book by the author.
I’ve taken a break from formal reviews for a while, but a couple quick thoughts: I fell in love with Kade. He was complex, alpha and a wounded soul finding his way in the world. I liked Ainsley - most of the time. I loved her strength and snarkiness the most. But I struggled with her floundering. I understood that her daughter was first but I didn’t always agree with her logic. I also enjoyed the storyline - as much as I hated the antagonist. I would have done a couple things differently with him, but in the end, it all worked out. So all in all, it was well written, enjoyable and a worthy read.

I love me a good second chance romance and this one was absoltuley great!!! Some of my favorite elements come to play in this book.. From the get we have amazing chemistry between the characters, Hot rockers and a story I just fell in love with!!!
This book has a bit of everything and I just really enjoyed the story
This author is a newer author to me and I cant wait to read more from her!!!
I am a sucker for second chance romances and rock stars put them together and we have KADE! This story had me laughing, heart pounding and in tears. Ainsley has come such a long way and is learning to take back her life and be happy. I didn’t know I could loathe a man as much as I did Bob, that man deserved everything that he was handed. I couldn’t put this book down nor did I want to, this is a page turner and a must read. Black Diamond have themselves a new groupie.
Made was an outstanding second chance romance. These characters totally rocked my world! I cried and screamed and both Ansiley and Kade. I wanted them together but then I wanted them to stay away from each other. This book possessed everything a second chance romance needs! Drama, heat, heart and love!
I received this book from this amazing author and I would highly recommend you read it ASAP on add to you TBR list. The book has masses of hot sex scenes, a love that is just an impossibility for a quiet single mother and a smoking hot rock star. This is my honest review.
Ainsley's husband Bob cheated on her with their daughter Shay's Nanny Cami. After her divorce her best friend Jenny owns her own public relations firm and has many famous people she represents one of the being Black Diamond. Kade Black is the lead singer and is a hot as sin hothead and she has had a massive crush on him since college. Ainsley's daughter is going away for a month with her dad and Jenny wants her to go with her on the band tour as her assistant. From. The second their eyes meet there's an instant connection. A drunken night leads to Kade offering a one night of pleasure. Ainsley is insecure because of her ex and having sex with the sex God of the music world is a little hard for her to dream is possible. But that isn't enough for either of them they've fallen for each other. Kade wants her to move to California with him but she has to put Shay first. One year later Jenny's getting married, Ainsley has to face Kade again, she's moved on got a new man in her life but he will never satisfy her the way Kade did.
The day Kade set eyes on her it changed him from a play boy into someone who would move heaven and earth for the woman that rocked his world Ainsley Daniels. She is it for him but she threw his love back at him, he's determined he will get her back when she's ready. A year later his best friend is getting married to Ainsley's best friend and it’s time to face her. Kade can't live without Ainsley but what's more surprising to him is he also wants little Shay in his life. The more Ainsley pushes him away the harder he fights to get her back in his life.
The book also shows you a glimpse into the future so you can find out if love can conquer all. Some of my favourite quotes:
"He fucks like a beast but loves like a puppy. The ideal mix hard and soft, reading my mind and giving me everything I need."
"The unparalleled harmony of her screams and whispers as she shudders in my arms is like an orchestra. The sweet fluid gushing between her thighs is an ovation. It's a private concert only for me. I'm the conductor and the audience."
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review ~ Sass and Class Book Reviews
I had quite the push and pull relationship with this book, just like the two main characters did with each other. This was my first second chance rock star romance and I really enjoyed it. Kade was incredibly hot. My absolute favorite line in this book is how the writer described him, "He fucks like a beast but loves like a puppy." LOVED that line. Kade is a Rock star who has been liven the dream, but deep down he's tired of being alone and feeling unloved. The women he sleeps with want the rock star fantasy and no matter how many women throw themselves at him he hasn't found one that makes him feel complete. Until he meets Ainsley-a jersey housewife crushed by her vindictive ex-husband who's picking up the pieces of her life after finding out her husband had an affair.
The romance between Kade and Ainsley is a whirlwind. I couldn't read fast enough to keep up with them. But all fun must come to an end and Ainsley has to go back home to reality and her responsibilities. Kade is crushed and comes after her, but will Kade fit into Ainsley's complicated life? Will love withstand obstacles and distance? You have to read to find out.
Ainsley's character did frustrate me. The woman's back and forth emotions were an emotional rollercoaster for me as the reader; however, it shows the writer's skills, that she was able to take my emotions right along with the characters'. When the two characters, Kade and Ainsley are together it's shooting stars and blazing fire, but when they are apart its heartbreaking. Their chemistry is great and the sex scenes are hot.
WOW. This book was amazing. The first 1/3 of this book it told only from Ainsley point of view. She is grieving her marriage and feels like she has failed her daughter. The book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and you want to fight right alongside Ainsley as she pulls her life together and finds her inner strength. Kade is a fierce and foul mouth Rockstar but when Ainsley Daniels comes into his life you see the teddy bear that is hidden underneath. When Kade falls, he falls hard and it will take never giving up to capture Ainsley’s heart forever. This book is not just about Kade and Ainsley love story but also about love yourself, creating your own family, and never giving up.
I didn't buy the two of them together for the first half of the book. They were all about each other but not for any reason that I could tell. They barely talked about anything. There was a lot of telling in this book but little showing. Lots of good lines, there was a good one about the heroine thinking the hero was a tortured soul but I have no idea why she thought that. We weren't given any info or shown anything to make us think that was true. The book has a good basis and could be really amazing if there was more depth, more feeling, and more showing us why they were falling in love, and we could see them getting to know each other. Oh, and the h was pretty awful to the guy. I literally spoke out loud at one point and said "you're an idiot!"
My first rating was going to be 3 stars, but around 90% mark it all went downhill.
You know, I get it. I get that a woman is vulnerable after a divorce, after finding out that her husband was cheating on her for years, after being a doormat and a housewife. I get that that woman is afraid of a new guy and a possibility of a new relationship. I understand that kids come first. I even understood the first time Ainsley ended things with Kade - she just wasn't ready for that big step and was fair enough to not force things.
But after she gave him a second chance, and than pushed him away again, and than done it again two more times I was just plain pissed. Are you freaking kidding me? You want him, you get him, you throw him away and than repeat the process, and each time you somehow blame it on him, with bullshit lines like: ''He walked away''. Hmmm, bi**h, no, you literally pushed him out the door, screamed like a lunatic and said you never want to see him again. And I've had it. I was ready to punch this woman in the throat and wishing her to be alone forever. She was so exhausting. I honestly did not like her one bit.
As far as the book as a whole, it was a maybe OK, more on the mah side. I found a lot of scenes to be lacking, wanted to know more about a certain thing or person or story, but there just wasn't anything. The only thing that I liked was the scenes between Kade and Shay. Other things ware just...mah.
Soooo I have to say.... i am surprised that I was able to finish this book. When Kade and Ainsley first got together I liked it. Then when she left it just started to go downhill from there for me. I really disliked her, she ran and pushed kade away at every turn. Any little thing that spooked her she broke up with him. I get that her ex left her wary but this guy kept chasing her down and begging for her love and affection! And it seems like every problem just fixed itself automatically after she bolts, custody battle, photos? It’s mentioned and then nothing comes of it. Just felt like unnecessary filler to me. Kade, I just wanted to hug him, this big bad rockstar brought to his knees by this chick and she gives him the runaround over and over. Just not a book I could get into. 🤷🏾♀️
One Hot Rockstar, One Sexy Housewife lots of passion too scorching to describe.
This book could never be called a sweet read. It’s too hot for that word.
I love Jane Anthony’s Kade: A Second Chance Rockstar Romance because it made me laugh, cry, become frustrated and I ended up loving her characters.
Ms. Anthony is a talented author who created a wonderful romance story of a Rockstar and a housewife. About life on the road, touring the East Coast; about overwhelming feelings which become confusing and passion so hot it could combust.
Jane Anthony had me hooked from the first page and I couldn’t put it down until the end.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance book.
Kade honestly was a totally unexpected rockstar GOD for me. He is the sweetest, kindest, frigging lovable hero who loves to cuddle (yah)
The chemistry between Kade and Ainsley was explosive from the start, and like Ainsley, it took me a while to really see Kade as the man he is than the misconceptive persona all rockstars have. I was on pins and needles to finally see them together and was really glad when they finally did. And I loved Shay, specially her interaction with Kade (wanted more of that honestly).
Ainsley's apprehension about being with Kade, at times really made me mad, but I could get her not wanting to bring a child into a situation where here honestly wasn't much stability (him going on tours and such)
But in the end everything worked out and I really throughly enjoyed this book and hopefully everyone will enjoy it too!
Kade by Jane Anthony is a second chance rockstar romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lee Daniels and Gregory Salinas.
This is the first book of Jane's that I have read, and it won't be my last. The relationship between Ainsley and Kade is messy, but you can't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views.
Lee and Gregory did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like rockstar romances, second chance romances, or contemporary romances.
Ainsley's three week trek with the rock band Black Diamond puts her in close quarters with Kade, the rock god she's fantasized about since her teens. Will real life Kade hold a candle to dream Kade? Read Jane Anthony's Kade to find out what life on the road with the band holds for Ainsley, Jenny, Banger, and Kade! Hot sex scenes, foul language, and some violence.
I really loved this book. I love how she is a strong female lead and he is equally strong. They do have their obstacles to over come but its a good fit. I loved the secondary characters as well. Fell for all the band and want more.
I received an ARC of this book and in return I would give an honest review.
It's my first book by this author. And I liked it. It's well written, the chemistry between the characters are amazing. I had a bit difficult keeping up with their push and pull. I felt it was a bit of an rush in the beginning of the book, when Ainsley and Kade meet. But I guess it's why the I call it a hurricane/whirlwind romance!

Just like most rock stars in romance novels, this guy is hot. This however is not like most romance novels with rockstars. Kade might be able to smile the pants off any girl but hes the one who gets starry eyed over a girl in black leather pants. Only when the leather is gone do they really start to open their eyes. Yet one of them doesn’t like feeling bare. And there’s more than one way to see someone. What starts off as a hot deal to explore each during the time aloud, ends up in heartbreak. Misunderstandings become a bridge. Kade is a man who knows what he wants, goes for it, and will fight for it. He fights the best way he knows how. But who’s he fighting. He learns using his fists might break the rocking bridge not strengthen it. Ainsley returns back to her life, her child, she’s unsure of who she is. Just starting to figure it out kills her in a way she hadn’t expected. It’s more than herself she just began to learn about. But nothing and no one will come between her and her child. She is used to this and won’t change it. Even if it’s her happiness or someone else’s that gets drowned in the wreckage. Don’t worry romance readers this is a HEA and Kade is a hot, swoon worthy and fantastic! In all ways (wink). Love this book! Loved Kade! And the emotional journey the Author takes us on.
So I loved this! Kade and Ainsley were so great and there relationship is mostly beautiful.... Except for her kicking him to the curb so many times like come on she was so drastic about everything! Worried about her daughter getting attached but still pushing him out so quickly after they had gotten close. And I get it was a running joke but saying no to his proposal for 15 years? Come on girl! I get being damaged and all this was just a little much for me on the break up front poor Kade. But I'm glad they got their happily ever after and he got a family

I was captivated through this whole story, the highs and lows had me wanting more the whole way through. And all the characters (except bob) hold a little place in my heart. 5 stars!!
