Kaden,the second book in the Recherché series, surprised me quite well. I was expecting all smut but I got a little story that goes with it.
However, if you expect romance, move along. There is none in this one.

Kaden is so much more than an escort and I loved reading about his different sides. Despite the book being only a short story, you can see he's a good and loyal guy. But he's mostly a boy that needs to turn into a man.
Brit Lauren aka L.P Lovell wanted to give readers a hot and decadent series. If you are looking for some filthy action, you are at the right place.
Now I don't know which one I want first - Xavier, Cora or Maddox? You know what? I don't care, give me all of them.

The Recherché series is based on a group high end escorts in London. In this installment, we focus on Kaden. The youngest escort in the group. At age 21-years old, Kaden caters to the women who like that young, fresh look he harbors. When he gets a new older client named Melanie, she challenges him to new levels. She likes to control and Kaden is used to making women happy but her level of control takes it to another dimension. Can he give up control and to what cost to him? Or this could be the hottest client yet!
I do admit this series is hot hot hot. Fairly light on story in comparison to heavy steam factor. I tend to like a solid balance of both and I do fear the scales are going to start tipping more towards smut and less on plot. We did get to revisit all the guys in the Recherché group, most especially Thor living his happily-ever-after with Poppy. I do admit I can't wait for Cora and Maddox!
Each book can be read as a standalone.

I was intrigued by "the young one" as Kaden was referred to in Thor (Book 1). We didn't really know much about him so I was excited to learn more.
Kaden has been working for Recherché for about a year now as an escort. Unknown to his boss, he's using this job to pay for his way through medical school and is currently a junior doctor. Since he took this job, it's been pretty easy going and he's collected some steady clients. Normally he goes in and is the ultimate professional. No strings attached and he's good at his job. That is until one woman dominates her way into his world and he is now questioning himself. Will she be the one to push him to his full sexual potential?
There were certainly some good things I liked about this. There is one particular relationship that Kaden has with a client that I just absolutely adore. It shows just how big his heart actually is. When that relationship is threatened, we get to see even more of his heart and his vulnerability.
The sex scenes between Kaden and Melanie were so freaking hot. There's just something about Melanie that kept me intrigued. I wanted to know more about her and her background. I needed to know why she did the things she did. What motivated her. While I got a little bit of it, I felt like I needed more about her. I thought that her story could have been stronger than what we get.
Overall, I liked it. If you are looking for a short story with some hot scenes, then this might be the book for you. Also, I'm hoping that the next book will be about Maddox and Cora. There's just something there that must be explored!

Kaden is Book 2 of The Recherché Series, a male escort and my first book of the Author actually. I haven't read the previous book, so I don't have any expectations but that someone selling a fantasy just got me all excited!

Although this book promises fantasy, if you're looking for a HEA, then this book isn't for you. This is all about that one woman who will make a man into whom he is destined to be, a perfect dominant alpha.
Although that bit threw off guard, it didn't affect my enjoyment as its a great lesson of wanting what you desire and going for it.
This book also touches on other aspects of growing up but I hope there's more for Kaden.
If you're looking for a fantasy, then this one's for you!

WOWZA! Holy freakin shit this was one hot read. I mean WOW!!!!!!!! This is book two in a series but each can be read as a standalone. BUT..... Why the hell not read the first book Thor? You really need to because well.... Its fucking hot, and every woman needs a Thor in her life. That being said.... I now need a Kaden in mine. This went from straight up hot to fucking hot as hell by the time it ended.
Kaden is an escort. That's what the series is about. Freakin smoking ones. But Kaden is sooo living a double life. Not gonna go into details, but lets just say it makes him even more irresistible. I fell for his easy charm and sense of humor from the start. As the book progressed I fell for his heart. I mean that man is swoon worthy. There really wasn't a heroine that I was crzy about. But there was definitely one I wanted to punch! Gahhh! That woman really pissed me off. But in the end it was so worth it. I am really hoping to hear more about Kaden in another book.
This series so far is definitely one of the hottest Ive ever read. They are short action packed and full of some smoking hot men and women. Looking for instant panty killers? Look no further!!!

Kaden's story was definitely not what I expected. I did like how we got a little of his story before he was a part of Recherché. As the youngest guy, he still has a lot to learn. This is his story.
Kaden lives two lives. While it seems that the other guys lives revolve around all that Recherché is, Kaden is different and none of them know about it until it all almost comes crashing down for him. He met a new client who had an odd way of doing things, but what can he say. He's getting paid to be these women's fantasies come true. He goes along with it. Little did he know that she was teaching him, helping him grown into the man he was meant to be. It's another quick, sexy read from Brit Lauren. I'm interested to see how Xavier's story plays out next!

Well, this is a tricky review to write. On the whole I loved this book. It's the second book in the Recherché series and book 1 (Thor) was super steamy hot!
Kaden is certainly keeping up with the Recherché men in the hotness stakes and the story is a quick easy read.
I have to admit that I felt that there was a lack of chemistry throughout this book. I realised, once I'd finished why (and it certainly works) but I still found it a little flat.
However, Kaden in still a great character and I found his growth and development as the story progresses really interesting.
It's hard to say much more without giving anything away but I'll end off with a quote from the book... "...I don't f*ck for free".
A highly enjoyable read and I look forward to Xavier's story next.

This is Kaden's story in the Recherché series..he's the youngest of the escorts and he's very good at what he does but it's not his main mission in life...he's doing it to pay his way through medical school. I liked this one a lot more than Thor because it had more story behind it and a little more heart and the sex ...Jesus take the wheel because this book is not messing around in that department!! Next up is Xavier's story and I can't wait to find out what's the deal behind this mysterious man!!!

It's always quite an unique experience to read a story written by L.P.Lovell because I never know what kind of story I'm going to read. Kaden is the second short story in The Recherche Series. This is not a romance with an HEA.
Kaden is the youngest escort that will get the experience of a lifetime in order to shape him as an escort.
This is an erotic, fast paced short story that has some pretty intense steamy scenes that will likely leave the readers hot and bothered. It was quite interesting to say the least. I give this story a 4 star.
I recommend this story. Even if they are standalones, I think these books should be read in order to better see the progression of this series. Thor is the first book and available now. In this book we get to see how Kaden becomes a man. In the beginning he was more sweet and out to please his clients whichever way THEY wanted but after meeting his client Melanie things change. Melanie only deals with those she can control and break. She takes him on a journey of becoming a man who takes what he wants. She changes him into a dominant, take charge man that will please the ladies. It was interesting to see the double lives that he lives. Although he changes, there is still a sweet side to him and I loved seeing his relationship with Pen.
Beware though, if you are looking for a romance, especially where the escort find the woman to end his escorting days then move along because you won't find it here. Even saying that it was still an enjoyable book and I can't wait to read Xavier's story next!

I've been looking forward to reading this since I read Thor.... and it was so worth the wait!
I was intrigued with Kaden, the young 21 year old. I'm surprised at his life away from Recherchè and inside I'm immensely proud of him. Though I wish to have seen more from melanie, and a bit more of a storyline like Thor's, I did enjoy it. It was hot, steamy and something you have to read with the fan on.

This is the second book in the Recherché series and it's very different than Thor, there is no lovey dovey HEA ending in this one. Although Kaden did learn something priceless that will help him be a better man and lover. Kaden is 21 years old and the youngest escort at Recherché. None of his co-workers or Thor know that he's studying to be a doctor and doesn't plan on being an escort forever. He's busy doing his clinical work and working towards his PHD but he still manages to have time for sex with his clients. He gets a new client, an older woman named Melanie who is unlike any other client he's ever had. She's pushing his boundaries and making him want to try things he's never done before and he's both excited and nervous about the experience. Kaden and Melanie don't end up together at the end like Thor and Poppy but she does teach him something valuable. I'm dying to read Maddox and Cora's stories !

Wow! So different from what I expected. And so, so good! After I found the first installment of The Recherché series good but a bit tame, nothing out of the ordinary compared to other books I’ve already read in this setting, Kaden’s story absolutely blew me away.
In the beginning of the book Kaden is just a boy who took the rare opportunity that was thrown at him thanks to his good looks and boyish charm.
He now gets paid a fortune for screwing high-end customers.
Then he meets Melanie. Melanie is a woman in her prime with a very extravagant fantasy. A fantasy which will change Kaden deeply. Watch this young man transform from a charming boy to a powerful and sexy alpha who takes what he wants without asking.
That being said, I loved Kaden, inside and out! We do not have much of a heroine in this book – well, she is, to some degree – the story is almost completely told from Kaden’s point of view. And he is so much more than an escort, has more layers than he lets most people see. He is loyal to a fault and an amazingly good-hearted human being. And by the end of the book... Ohh myy… he was a fantasy coming true.
This went from swoon-worthily sexy to fiercely hot-as-hell in a heartbeat.
What a decadent little series Brit Lauren / L.P. Lovell has come up with. Filthy novellas with a heart. I cannot wait for Xavier’s story, although he will have a tough time dethroning Kaden. I think I have found my favorite of the Recherché escorts already.

I have to admit, when starting Kaden I hadn’t read the previous book in the Recherché Series - Thor (which may I add is not a requirement) but I am totally going there now!! This is what I like to call a dirty little bundle of fun and frolics!! Kaden by Brit Lauren is a smoking hot, sinfully sexy read that you are going to devour!! This is not for the fainthearted!!
If you have read Thor then you are going to have an idea of what this book is about! If not don’t despair, like me you are going to LOVE it! So, you have got a sinfully sexy male – Kaden - who is working as a male escort to get himself through medical school. But it isn’t that simple! You’re brought on his journey though his lifestyle, what it entails and what others expect of him!
This book is smoking hot, with scenes that will grab you and are so tantalizing that you will be left scorched! But don’t be fooled, it also has those FEELS that we so dearly love in a book. The lovely thing about this read, is that yes its sexy as hell and you will get you all sorts of wound up while reading, but it also has parts of it that evoke those feelings in you that you almost crave from a novel.
I love the writing in this book, flowing nicely throughout with a storyline that you will get caught up in and eventually devour!! You will be unable to put it down, turning that page until the very end!!

This book is Kaden. Kaden is hot and young and oozes sex appeal. He has no problem picking up girls on a nightly basis. He meets Thor, owner of Recherché, at a club who offered him a job as an escort. He took the job as he's training to be a doctor and wants to pay his way though university without debt. He's making money and doing what he was doing for free anyway, win win!
Kaden is still new to the business. He's quite cocky with his skills and keeps his regulars happy. Then he gets a new client Melanie. She nothing like his other client's. She's in control and he's surprised to find he likes it and hates it at the same time:-
"Melanie is just a client like every other client, but there's something about the way she dominates, her icy disposition that's just thrown me off completely, because f*** I've never experienced a woman like that in my life. I'm in love with this series already! I loved Thor it was kinda sweet in a hot naughty way. But Kaden? I loved that it's not a traditional romance. It's more of a life lesson!

You really need to because well.... Its fucking hot, and every woman needs a Thor in her life. That being said.... I now need a Kaden in mine. This went from straight up hot to fucking hot as hell by the time it ended.
Kaden is an escort. That's what the series is about. Freakin smoking ones. But Kaden is sooo living a double life. Not gonna go into details, but lets just say it makes him even more irresistible. I fell for his easy charm and sense of humor from the start. As the book progressed I fell for his heart. I mean that man is swoon worthy. There really wasn't a heroine that I was crzy about. But there was definitely one I wanted to punch! Gahhh! That woman really pissed me off. But in the end it was so worth it. I am really hoping to hear more about Kaden in another book.
This series so far is definitely one of the hottest Ive ever read. They are short action packed and full of some smoking hot men and women. Looking for instant panty killers? Look no further!!!

Kaden is the second book in The Recherché series but it can be read as a standalone and it is what I did because I haven´t read Thor.
The narrative of this book is addictive, the story is mainly told from Kaden´s POV and his character is as charming, sexy and drop dead gorgeous as you would expect from a high prized male escort. This book is not your regular romance mainly because there is no love. Kaden is lust, sex, temptation and hotness in a devilish yet sweet package. I am not usually into books that have no romance at all but Kaden was the exception mainly because the only character who may have been Kaden´s love interest wasn´t a match for him from my point of view.
Even though is an erotic book I didn´t feel like it was too much sex, it had the perfect balance between sexy times and regular life. I simply loved this book because it made me have a good time while reading it and because Kaden is one of the best developed male characters I have read in quite some time.
I really recommend this book, it is highly entertaining and Kaden is addiction as its purest form.

Ooooooh Kaden the hot sexy delicious doctor, I friggin love him and this series so far of short hot novellas. Whilst both books are connected they can each be read alone - not sure that you'd want to miss any though.
This series so far doesn't fail to disappoint, packed full of hot steamy scenes, along with a good strong storyline that unusually isn't a romance. I often find the connection can be a little lost in short novellas - however this isn't the case. Once again, I love LP's style of writing and the funny witty (british) moments she randomly pops in here and there.
If you're looking for a steamy short read, this is most definitely worth a one-click.

Eeek!! Was anyone else slightly disappointed because they wanted more from Kaden's story than just hot sexual encounters?!? I mean, don't get me wrong - this book is red, freaking hot and I loved that aspect of it. Kaden's passionate affair left my lady bits on fire. It just felt like it wasn't enough!!
Maybe my problem is that I went into this romance with high expectations - I was blown away by the first book in this series, Thor. That's my bad, not the authors.
So beyond being an escort, Kaden has so much more going on - seriously this man has a full plate and how he holds it all together is impressive. Within his book, Kaden takes quite the sexual and emotional journey and because of that, I honestly hope this isn't the last I've heard from him. I would love to see where he's at a year or five from this book.
Overall, I thought that Kaden was a entertaining and sexy read even though it wasn't what I was expecting. It's well written and left me wanting more from the series. I am definitely looking forward to getting to know this group of characters more.

It is classified as a contemporary romance, but I am adding Coming of Age, as well, because there is no love story in this book. But, don't let that turn you off. This is Kaden's story and it is a lovely story. There is also a lot of sex, even some pretty kinky sex.
Kaden is the antithesis of what he does, but he is an escort all the same. He has regular clients, including one older lady who he just hangs out with. While not working as as escort, he is also attending university and is a junior doctor. This kid is a one busy person. He gets a new client who is unlike any other client and as their relationship evolves, Kaden grows as a person and as an escort.
This is a short read, well-written with characters you can connect with. Despite the lack of a true love story, the story of Kaden "Growing up" is engaging and entertaining.
