The follow-up to the Wall Street Journal bestseller Outrage.
Those who hunt monsters must be careful not to become monsters themselves.
In another life, before human traffickers murdered her husband and stole her children, Faith McMann was a wife, mother, and teacher. Now she has become Furious, a merciless avenger on a deadly mission to retrieve her young son and daughter, no matter the cost.
Aided by unlikely but steadfast allies, the giant Beast and fragile Rage, Faith plunges ever deeper into a sickening underworld of sexual exploitation and slavery with steel-forged determination and righteous anger.
In this powerful, suspenseful conclusion to the Faith McMann trilogy, Faith is haunted by questions: Even if her children are recovered, will they be broken beyond repair? What terrible sacrifices will their rescue require? What are the limits of loyalty and love in a world that preys on innocents? And after her brutal awakening to the darkest aspects of human nature, what will remain of her own self?
Sad fact that many human traffickers lives among us. This book about two kidnapped children and their families and family friends. Emotional and heart pounding story. But first two books ends with cliffhanger, and made me very upset. Author is very good but all three books could be edited to one book and it would have been a five star book.
This is the 3rd and final book featuring Faith McMann. To quickly summarize what this series is about... Faith's husband is murdered in their home, she is left for dead, and her two young children are taken by a human trafficking ring.
Faith survives, but then she gets angry. She wants her children back and will do anything and everything to get them back. And she wants the men responsible.
The quest for her kids take her into the very bowels of not only human trafficking, but sex trafficking as well. She meets some people along the way who join in her search. Beast and Rage have their own story, but they jump wholeheartedly into this search and to putting an end to all those who participate ... even if it points to the higher echelon of government.
I don't want there to be any spoilers, so I will only say this is a terrific series. The three books need to be read in order to fully understand and grasp what this particular mother goes through.
This is an excellent series ... I really hate to see it end.
5 Stars for the Series. 5 Stars for the book.
Many thanks to the author / Thomas & Mercer / Netgalley for the digital copy of WRATH. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

4.5 stars. Excellent conclusion to this trilogy, which wrapped everything up nicely. Good mix of suspense and emotions. I enjoyed it more than Outrage, book 2 in the series. Solid audiobook narration.
This is the third book in the Faith McMann Trilogy and I am a big fan of this author. The series focuses on human trafficking and child slavery which just makes me shudder, but it is an unfortunate reality. A very well told series with some fantastic characters. It really does shed a very stark light on a terrible, bleak subject. Highly recommended series and author.
This book wraps up a thrilling and extremely readable series. Faith McMann's husband has been killed, her children abducted by child traffickers and she was left for dead. However Faith has been fighting back. She wants the human scum running these rackets to pay, and she wants her children back.
Through luck and chance she is reunited with her son Hudson who finally managed to run away from his captors and kept himself and a fellow escapee alive in the wilderness through common sense and some of his grandfather's survival teachings. Meanwhile Faith is still trying to find her daughter, Lara.
They get a lead and Faith mobilises her army of helpers. Its a race to the finish. If she can't pull this off, Lara will be lost to her forever. Phew, this was full-on, high tension stuff. It is a really great series which shines a light on one of the most heinous practices of the modern era where everything can be bought online, even children. The characters in this series are just awesome, they are really brought to life. The books must be read in order though. I'm now going to read T.R. Reagan's Lizzy Gardner series because I'm really enjoying her writing.
ahh such a good trilogy! I wish there was another book!
Wrath was such a good ending for this series. It made me so happy to see this family reunited again. It sucks that Hudson and Lara still had hope that their dad was alive and everything.. but to see that their mom - brought joy to my wittle heart!
Even though I got my happy ending, it did take a while to get there. The adventure of seeing how everyone reacted with Hudson being back was interesting. Then with everyone trying to struggle with not finding Faith's other kid, Lara was definitely stressful.
Overall, I loved getting to see everyone in this book. Rage is probably still my favorite out of them all - but I love them all dearly. The adventure that this book took me through was definitely an eye opener and I have no idea how I will act once I have kids or ya know.. get married. I'll probably be white girl crazy so people don't think twice about messing with me.
Having become addicted to T.R. Ragan's Lizzy Gardner series and when it ended, I quickly latched on to this trilogy. On one hand, I am sorry to see it end because I truly came to love Faith McMann and her friends and family. On the other hand, it is a relief to see it end in a satisfying way because these books with their dark subject matter are tough at times to read. They deal with the human trafficking of children and with a seemingly ordinary woman--Faith, McMann school teacher who ends up taking on the traffickers that killed her husband, left her for the dead and took her children. I say *seemingly ordinary* because Faith becomes a bad ass, tapping resources within herself and others, furious and ready to do anything to bring her children home.
This is the third and final book and I don't want to say much detail about it due to spoilers. Read the series--the books are great and definitely read them in order. The characters will work their way into your heart and you root for them. I wasn't exactly sure how Ragan would end this one (I am still getting over how the Lizzy Gardner series ended) but I ended up happy with how things turned out--not perfect for everyone--life isn't, but exciting, touching, and ultimately satisfying and hopeful. I had tears several times throughout the book and had to fight myself not to go to the end and check if it was going to be OK--always a good sign.
I would give this 4.5 stars overall--I really enjoyed it, despite the high blood pressure and excess emotions it wrought. I look forward to seeing what the author's next book will hold.
Note: I was given a free e-book ARC from the publisher via NetGalley but I was not compensated for my review and my thoughts and opinions are my own.
Finally, the conclusion of this trilogy! Faith McMann has been battling the human trafficking ring in Sacramento searching for her kids. She finally got her son, Hudson, back at the end of book 2, but her daughter, Lara, is still missing. Ironically, the head of the ring doesn't know where Lara is either, so everyone is trying to find her. Faith was given some important evidence in book 2 and has made key alliances to help her start to take apart the ring piece by piece. Her family is constantly in danger of retaliation but it doesn't stop them from pursuing their search for Lara using whatever means necessary.
I liked that Faith's character was once just a regular mom, a schoolteacher who was blissfully unaware of the dark world of human trafficking. Yet, she turned into a vigilante determined to find her kids. The revenge on the people responsible was just a bonus. She made meaningful friendships along her journey and suffered loss (so it wasn't all sunshine and daisies). Some of the questionable things she and her friends did to further their cause were a tiny bit unbelievable (mostly because I'm sure they would end up in jail themselves at the end). Still, this was a dynamic story and action-packed. I liked it!
If you are not angry about human trafficking, then maybe you don't know what is going on. Who the victims are and what they are going thru.
Faith McMann's life turned upside down and inside out when her family was brutally attacked and her two children were taken into human trafficking. She became furious. which lead to outrage, and now the perps will experience her wrath. Each of these emotions are the titles of the Faith McMann Trilogy but the author's intend is to shine a light, spark a fire, and hopefully make people more aware of the victims so that many will be saved.
Wrath starts with Faith's son making it home and the search for her daughter intensified. With a strong support of her family and new found friends, Faith begins to zero in on finding her daughter and stopping at nothing to find her safe. Faith is the character that is consumed with action and without any effort starts an army of her own.
A Special Thank you to Thomas & Mercer and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
Wrath is the third and final part of TR Ragan's trilogy surrounding Faith McMann's fight to be reunited with her children.
During each of these three books I've asked myself numerous times why the heck I'm reading such an unrealistic, far-fetched load of rubbish however I felt compelled to find out how it (eventually) ended and also to see whether my favourite character, Beast, would find solace.
If you like lots of action and aren't the sort of person to pick holes in stories that aren't anywhere near the realms of realism then this series is for you.
Thanks to Thomas & Mercer for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
“Faith McMann-mother, schoolteacher, and, according to some, a vigilante.”
I enjoyed this trilogy and Faith McMann was a great character, one in a cast of many. I do think the story could have been wrapped up in two books and this one dragged a bit for me/felt repetitive, but it was a satisfying ending.
The End! Wow, what a series. Faith got her children back but, as she said, none of them would ever be the same. What they all went through was just amazing.
It was a totally unbelievable story, a group of regular citizens taking on a bunch of bad guys in a warehouse, looking for Faith’s daughter Lara, and Faith shooting Aster Williams 3 times to try to get him to talk, and so many other bad guys dead and wounded from her friends and family. AND no one goes to jail? Yeah, that’s not going to happen, BUT in a book anything is possible.
This was an excellent set of books and they were all a free read and free listen so it won’t cost you anything to give them a try. There was NO sex but the F-bomb was used 40 times.
As to the narration: Kate Rudd did an excellent job in all three books. Her voices are always great, as is her emotions. She’s one of my top 5 narrators.
Wrath is the final book in the Faith McMann trilogy written by author T. R. Ragan. Excellent storyline and characters. I highly recommend this series. Thanks to NetGalley and Thomas and Mercer for the advance copy.
What an amazing, suspenseful and enlightening series on the growing threat of human trafficking. I want to read more on this topic and more by this author. I recommend this book.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an impartial review.
I'll admit it; I've been tough on Ragan's Faith McCann series. The children are way too brave and observant, and they speak like they are adults. Yet, even with this criticism, I keep coming back to this series.
Wrath is the third volume in this series concerning murder, child sex-trafficking, and, ironically, the power of love. It picks up right after the second book without any break so it is essential to have read the other two books, Furious and Outrage. In many ways I think the editor could have done some major cutting and turned these three books into one. In this book, only Lara is still a captive but her brother, Hudson, so recently rescued, has more opportunities to prove his courage.
Faith's determination to find her children, against some rather incredible odds, establishes her relationship with a wide variety of characters. The characters from the previous books like Beast and Rage have some damage to their psyches but they literally put their lives on the line to help Faith. Wrath, however, has some new characters join the fight, and they are truly amazing. They don't have a personal stake in this nightmare, but they do care about children and the world around them. Their bravery might be unrealistic but their presence made an incredible difference to the outcome. They also provide strength in numbers and demonstrate the importance of thoughtful reporting when you just know something is wrong.
Ragan's series could easily be dismissed as just a trite mystery but the topic of child sex-trafficking needs to be addressed via many methods in order to bring it into the consciousness of ordinary citizens. Read this series not for its literary quality but for its eyeopening approach to an ugly truth.
T. R. Ragan has done it again! What an outstanding thriller and great ending to this trilogy. I was pulled in immediately from the first chapter of the first book, Furious, and the second, Outrage, kept me wrapped up in the story so that for several months now I've been anxiously awaiting this final installment. I can't just write a review about this book as the whole trilogy is all wrapped up together in my mind.
The intensity of the story line with such a deep topic as human trafficking was heartbreaking and yet angering at the same time. How can people be so cruel as to kidnap children to sell them off? Faith's determination to find her children over the course of these three books was nothing short of amazing all while trying not to think of the fact that her husband was murdered right in front of her. Throughout these novels we see a simple wife, mother and teacher turn into this fierce woman with only one goal...to find her children and bring them home. She will stop at nothing to accomplish this goal. She meets some great people along the way that help her and as with anything in life there are good times and bad. We see the sadness and pain these other characters bring to the story with their own stories that are shared. For such a thriller it was a pleasant ending to find myself in tears.
Thank you NetGalley, Thomas & Mercer and of course T.R. Ragan for this opportunity. This review and others can be found at https://mcdawnreviews.wordpress.com/2...
This is the third and final book in the trilogy by McNamee and it delivered! In this book we continue to follow the story of the missing girl named Lara who was taken by sex traffickers. Previously we read how they came into her home, killed her father, attempted to kill her mother and took her brother along with her. After her mother fought night and day looking for them she got the help of family, friends, and in this book the help from the community. Faith struggles with still looking for her daughter and spending time with her son Hudson, who was found in book two in the forest by his grandfather and uncle. My favorite characters are Rage, Beast and Faith. Faith shows how crazy a mama bear will go if anyone messes with her children. I kept hoping however that with that money she found they would some how find a way to save Rage. Although they did find the best way to incorporate her death in the storyline. I am sad that this trilogy is complete and was hoping there would be more. With that said, it was nice to see the whole family back together. Lara found and confiding in her brother. Colton’s wife and kids home and working on things. Grandparents living with Jana while their house is being built with her new kitchen, and the new addition Landon.
EXCELLENT STORY EXCELLENT NARRATION by Kate Rudd (audible review) WOW what a great story. Sad it is over. I will be checking out more from this author for sure.
If you haven't read this trilogy you should! it is so good and well written!
Some fantastic writing, dialogue and story telling in all three books! You must read them all in order as the first two are cliffhangers, but since they are all available there is no waiting.
As for the narration it is amazing. Kate Rudd does a superb job. The men sound like men and everyone get's their own distinct voice. She reads with emotion and has a great reading voice.
This was a free read and 1.99 audible whispersync. The previous two books were both free read free listens. Amazing deal!
Well I have abandoned this series before I started this book (thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited). I don't have anything against T. R. Ragan's writing style or anything like that. It's just that the subject matter of this series is very difficult to deal with and I kept putting off and putting off reading this book until I realized I wasn't gonna read it. So there you are. For those of you who can stomach this kind of subject matter, you'll probably enjoy the series. And good luck to you.
I devoured this series, reading it in 4 days. Ragan is a great author. I loved the characters, their bonds and relationships. I felt their anger, their fear and their relief. It opened my eyes to human trafficking, and the power of communities who gather for a cause. Will definitely read more from this author.
Fantastic ending to the Faith McMann trilogy. Wrath was nail-biting suspense from start to finish. I couldn't put this book down. So much emotion when reading this book. Mostly tears, but it was so worth it!
What a wonderful, well written, delicate story of how the mob controls human trafficking. I was never really sure if Faith would find her daughter & son. Thank you for the way it ended. I knew what the odds were. Very well done!!!
Giving the whole series a 4.75 stars. The ending was both heart breaking and heart warming. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters in the books and was super invested in the story line. Despite the heavy themes this was a very readable and enjoyable thriller series
