Therian Agents #3

Taming Kiera

Rate this book
Kiera is the daughter of the notorious Richard Boyd, the man responsible for the death of hundreds of shifters. She’s also the most recent victim of her father’s experiments. Once human, Kiera was genetically altered with metamorph DNA. She barely survived the transformation, and now must learn how to control the animal within.

Alpha werelion, Jacob Oliver has always prided himself on being reliable, loyal, and practical. He’s the youngest ever, Director of Therian Affairs. When the first survivor of spontaneous morphing ends up in his care, Jacob finds himself struggling to maintain his composure.

There’s always been something wild and untamed within Kiera, but if she’s ever going to be able to rejoin society, she’ll need someone to teach her how to control her new animal nature. Jacob Oliver is just the man for the job, or at least he thinks he is.

What happens when you add fire to ice? Steam! Will Jacob extinguish the flame within her, or will Kiera finally melt Jacob’s icy exterior?

Welcome Back.......

As was read in the previous 2 books experiments were being conducted on humans that turned them to Metamorphs permanently, in other words they are unable to shift back to humans by the very evil Richard Boyd whom was thought dead. Problem is one of his daughters was injected with the serum by a supposed colleague in hopes the evil Dr would come up with an antidote sooner rather than later.

Kiera Boyd is the first of the victims to shift back to human no thanks to the Dr, but her brother in law, only problem with that is she has to learn how to control her lion and Kiera doesn't ever want to see it again. Plus she is feeling a very strong attraftion to the man that has taken it upon himself to be by her side teach her.

Leader of the Therian Agency lion shifter Jacob Oliver is a very reserved and hard man, but the frailty and beauty of his new charge and she is definitely his responsibility, makes him feel things he doesn't want, but fate doesn't care if you want it, or not it's there to stay, deal with it! What secrets does Jacob have that prevent him from grabbing what every shifter dreams of, a mate, especially when she is down for getting down and dirty?

Poor Kiera, not only is she the daughter of the vile man who was responsible for the deaths of many shifters, she has become one of his laboratory guinea pigs, too. A victim of a madman’s quest, hard to imagine they share the same blood. Kiera has been genetically altered and is faced with learning to control the hidden beast within. And you thought YOU had a dysfunctional family?

The Director of Therian Affairs is an Alpha with a heart, always willing to step up to care for others, but when he finds himself becoming Kiera’s mentor and protector, he makes a discovery that rocks his world. And, as they say, the plot thickens…and Jacob, the confident Alpha is about to meet his match, and then some in Kiera. Can Jacob teach Kiera to control her beast, to learn to shift only when she wants, or is he discovering that keeping his own beast under control when she is around may require a miracle? For Jacob, Kiera has become a frustrating four letter word, M-A-T-E and his werelion is not about to let him forget it.

Chantel Seabrook’s Taming Kiera is a love story with passion, heat and a lot of tension as Kiera finds the right buttons to push to drive Jacob to distraction. You really don’t think Jacob is alone in their animal magnetism toward each other, do you? The fur may fly, but love is in the air, if they can survive being close to each other and the dangers that surround them! Chantel Seabrook knows how to bring her characters to life, and make them believable! Get ready to feel the heat, the love and the passion these two share. Ice water recommended…

I received this copy from Chantel Seabrook in exchange for my honest review.

Life laughs at Alpha werelion, Jacob Oliver. He has avoided getting serious with anyone because there is a curse hanging over his head. Of course then he meets Kiera Boyd, the first survivor of spontaneous morphing and his mate. Kiera shakes up Jacobs world and gives him a reason to fight his fate. These two are fun to watch. Immovable object meets unstoppable force. I loved everything about this book except the title. There is no taming of any kind in this book.

Different shifters

Interesting to call shifters metamorphs instead of plain shifters and then to make them stay in animal form for long periods of time was pretty cool.
Since this is the first time reading the Therian Agents series I'm not sure of the ins and outs of some of the inner workings of the story line but I enjoyed the story enough I'm going to buy the 1st two books then come back to rewrite this review. Good book in the meantime.

I was so enthralled by the end of "Turning Payne" that I started reading this IMMEDIATELY after. And I was not disappointed! WOW. This should really be more of a 4.5 star rating for how much as I enjoyed it, but no half stars available. Oh, Jacob... I really cannot say anything as I do not want to spoil it for those looking to read it, but oh...my... Just shy of absolutely loving this!

I received a copy for an honest review. I lived it! I had not read the first 2 books but I immediately knew what was going on within the series. This book will take you away without you realizing it. I didn't want to put it down once I started.

As if waking up and finding out you have paws instead of hands isn't shocking enough, Kiera Boyd wakes up to find herself a horrible lab experiment gone wrong.

Jacob Oliver has taken a special interest and kept silent watch over Kiera since Chase brought her to Therian headquarters hoping for a miracle. Kiera's condition is unstable but eventually, she is able to morph back to human. Kiera has no control over her lion but Jacob thinks he can help her, by taking her to his house to "train". Kiera agrees to go with Jacob as she feels some type of connection to the practical, loyal and reliable man.

Once at Jacob's house, it doesn't take long for Circe to come calling on Kiera. Circe needs something she can only get from Kiera since she is the only metamorph to morph back to human. Jacob, Chase, and Turner fiercely protect Kiera from capture. This time it's Chase's turn to be stunned when he comes face to face with his mother and comes to terms with her disappearance.

Jacob knows Kiera is his mate but Kiera seems only interested in a quick romp in the sack with no commitment which makes it extremely hard for Jacob to be around her. That and knowing that death is coming for him, it wouldn't be fair to Kiera to start something he knows he can't finish. When Circe unleashes her wolves on Jacob, his visions of his death come to the realization that his time is up just before Kiera realizes Jacob's importance to her.

On my Were Scale of Hotness, 4 stars.

Lionshifters can't get enough!!!

Kindle unlimited purchase

This being book 3 you we have already been introduced to the plot of the series... People are trying to make humans shifters.. numerous humans have spontaneously shifted into various animals.... What is causing this.. it's the Therian Agents responsibility to find out what is going on... But with the added stress of finding their true mate can the Agents stop them before they hurt others..

I enjoyed this book and this series so much.. no bonus books just 100% book... I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys reading shifter books... All three books have love and romance... You can feel it.. yes they are fated mates.. but the love they have for each other makes you want more of these characters... Hopefully there's a book 4

Kiera is the first to be shifted back into human form after turning into a lion, Turner risked his life in order to help her. Jacob, the Director of Therian Affairs and Chase and Turner's boss. He sits vigil next to Kiera's bedside until she wakes up and begins gaining control of her lion. After a couple of weeks, Jacob decides to take Kiera to his home to watch over her.

Kiera and Jacob are strongly attracted to each other, and turn out to be mates, and their lions are not letting them stay away from each other. Jacob believes he is cursed and accepted his fate, but doesn't want to leave Kiera having just found her. But Chase and Turner's mother has different plans for everyone.

Taming Kiera is a fun story with action, romance, and just the right amount of danger. I love the fact that Jacob has a dog, wolfhound, that helps to protect Kiera but ends up getting injured in the fight. I thought that the poison from the wolves was interesting and its effects on other shifters. Wolves are definitely the shifters to stay away from. I enjoyed this book and am glad that we got to see what happens with Kiera and that she's OK especially after everything Turner and Riley went through to make sure of it.

Whew, talk about a book hangover. I think I've read each book in the series in a single sitting. This one was my favorite. I'm not sure I liked Kiera as much as the other two girls, but her chemistry with Jacob is incredibly hot. Their love story is intense and, of course, fraught with danger. Throw in the fact that Jacob doesn't want to let anyone get close to him, and you've got yourself a story.

Kiera is in major recover mode from everything that was done to her by her father and his minions. Jacob wants to fix her. Heck, he wants to save her. He's found the one person he didn't want to find - his mate. The one person who would be destroyed if his fears were realized. But she won't take no for an answer and his will is only so strong, weakening every time his lion claims her. "Mine".

Kiera wakes up as a lioness and is the first of the humans that has spontaneously shifted into animal forms to be changed. When she returns she isn't exactly human now she is a metamorph, a shifter. The Therian Agents led by Jacob are still searching for a cure and for Chase and Turner's mother who is still on the run. Kiera is a firecracker and not one to back down from a fight. Jacob is afraid he is cursed. What emerges is a great story of two fighting against their animal nature and fighting to stay alive which makes for a great read. The characters you will love and will make you laugh, cry, hold your breathe and rush to the next page. Full of excitement, intrigue and fun. A Great read and great story.

A love story masked in paranormal circumstances, is that your preference. If so this is the book for you. This is a well written tale of love and the honor given to one's "mate." I thoroughly enjoyed the book and recommend it to anyone above late teens. I think this is probably not for high school students but then I am a little old fashioned. I will not tell you the story. Suffice it to say the characters are well drawn, the story is vibrant and well designed to come to an explosive ending. And the ending includes the probability of the continuation of the characters in another setting. Good book.

This is actually the third in a series. I was able to follow the story pretty well, but I think it would have been helpful to have read the other books that came before it. Perhaps had I done so I would have known why Jacob fought so hard against admitting Kiera was his mate. I get that she needed to learn to control her inner lion, but maybe he could have given her a better incentive for doing so. I didn’t like the way things were handled at the lab - these are people with feelings they’re dealing with, not just subjects, and they had no choice in what had been done to them. Seems to me a little compassion would have been in order.

Yet another great read in the Therian Agents series. These hot alpha shifters and their fierce strong mates really grab the readers attention. Plots differ but link into one another (can work as stand alone or as part of the series). If you like Alisa Woods, Mina Carter, Violet Vaughan then these books are for you. This time Jacob and Kiera's story takes presidence, the strength of their attraction, will they or won't they, hot hot hanky panky. It's an easy read, lightly paced so that the reader can follow the story effortlessly. Can't wait till later in 2016 when the next book is die out!

I read the first in this series and was pleasantly surprised to like it so much--this is not my usual genre, so when this one came out, I didn't hesitate to give it a read too. This one is even better than the last. I like getting a better idea of conflict between the characters and their inner animals, Were-animals. A nice twist to the werewolf idea.

The chemistry between Jacob and Kiera is hot. The challenges they face are unique, to me at least, since I don't usually read this genre.

I recommend this one.

Father of the year, NOT.

Kiera comes out from a coma to discover that her own father was performing experiments on her to turn her from a human into a lion. Jacob is her bodyguard tasked with keeping her alive, and also her teacher, who has to explain all about being a shifter. The characters are intriguing, and have complex relationships with each other. Full of twists and turns, hot sex, and lots of shifters. If you like hot shifter romantic suspense, then this author and her books will be right up your alley.

This is a great paranormal love story that I really enjoyed reading and I couldn't get enough of! Kiera has been through quite a lot and is in the process of recovering when she comes across the werelion Jacob who immediately senses she's his mate. These two set each other off and when they get together sparks fly and I loved it! I highly recommend reading this to anyone and I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Loved it

I love this series! Every book just keeps getting better and better.
Keira has just woken up to a whole new world and she has to learn to live with who she is now. Who better to teach her than alpha Jacob he is hot, sexy and his lion wants to be the one to teach Kiera everything she needs to learn. I couldn't put it down!

Exciting shifter romance.

Kiera is now a werelion but needs to learn to control her lion. Jacob is also a werelion and has taken Kiera as his responsibility to take care of. But at the same time he wants to keep his distance from her. Can she get him to pull his head out of his ass and realize that they can be more?

The book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone.
