Island County #2

Love Redone in Hidden Harbor

Rate this book
Natalie Jennings loves nothing more than waking up and going into work at the florist shop she owns in the heart of Fireweed Island. Every morning is pleasant and filled with sunshine and rainbows. That is until she sees an email for a wedding consult slide right into her inbox with the sender’s name of Cole Hill. Her hands get clammy and the cold winter’s day suddenly feels like it’s ninety degrees and climbing. It couldn’t be the same Cole Hill from high school. The universe isn’t that cruel. But as she opens the email and reads the message, she realizes that it is, indeed, the Cole Hill from high school, and it is the universe’s turn to not only be cruel but downright evil. Cole broke her heart, but not in the normal fashion. He ensured the process was a long one filled with plenty of ups and downs. It all started in first grade and didn’t finally end until the second year of college. And now he is coming back to get married on Fireweed Island. The perks of being the only florist in town! It’s a good thing she got over him years ago...

When you live on an island the size of Fireweed, you’re bound to run into someone you used to know. And when you run the only florist shop on the island you’re bound to do weddings for people you used to know. Someone you used to date. Someone you were once engaged to. Someone who broke your heart 8 yrs ago, as a matter of fact.

Bolton is one of those authors I will gladly read and not know what the book is about. I’ll go in blindly and not have to read the blurb because I know I will love it no matter what. And this one is no different. LOVE REDONE IN HIDDEN HARBOR charmed the socks right off my feet with the fun storyline, amazing characters (even some we've already met) and one adorable, psychotic feline, Pickles.

Once again, we see old characters that have been a part of our lives from 2 different series and when everyone is together it turns into this amazing merger of sorts. I love to see them mentioned and share scenes with all the newbies. But the awesome thing is you don't have to read the other series to enjoy the current one. You'd just be missing out on some wonderful romances.

And when I read each one of Bolton's books I start to wonder who the next one will be about. Who stands out a little more and has a story to be told? I will admit that I thought it would be someone else. But I am still excited for the next book to come and think you will too once you read this one. 5 Stars!

This was a good read. Natalie and Cole used to be high school sweethearts. Until one day things ended. Now 8 years later Cole is back to have his wedding. However, things are obviously not done with him and Natalie. Thankfully in the end they finally get their happy ending.

I liked Cole I did, took him awhile to remove his head from his a** but liked him, “I’ve had eight years,” he murmured. “I can’t wait any longer to make you mine.” Natty sometimes has to bust her man's balls, because the boy has a one track mind, “we can’t.” I swatted him, but it was too late. He’d already started kissing my belly and working his way up. “I’m telling you, they’ll know and then this whole thing tonight will just be awkward.” I enjoyed this book I loved the characters.

Heroine Annoying...

Characters who can't move on after umpteen years? A heroine that lies to herself over and over and comes across as a teenager still? The hero wasn't as fleshed out and needed more characterization. Very one dimensional. The heroine is extremely annoying and it hurt to be in her head.

Love Endures

I enjoyed this story of love that went wrong. A flower shop, a couple choosing flowers for their wedding and a broken heart all combine to make a fascinating love story.

Love by suspense

Natalie and Cole have been through alot. They were together forever, then life seperate them. Fast-forward eight years and life's brings them together again. There is alot of drama they have to work through but they make it.

Great read

Love Batty and Cole. Makes you think back about when you first fell in love. I think this author should make her books into a mini series. I love her Silver Ridge Books.

Love Redone was an absolutely perfect read to get me out of my book funk. The story is set on a small island where news travels fast and everyone knows everyone's business. Our main character Natalie, owns the islands one and only flower shop. She receives an email from someone who she least expects and they want her to make the arrangements for his wedding. There are 2 problems here: (1) the sender is Natalie's first and only love and (2) she hasn't gotten over him or her heartbreak.
Love Redone is set at a great pace and there is never a dull moment. Between Pickles the cat and Cole's attempts to win Natty back, this story will stay warm in your heart for days to come.

read the next one in the series straight away in one sitting as I was hooked from the get go and it was second chance love story.

Natalie & Cole had been in love since the first grade, dated through high school & collage until a misunderstanding on both parts separated them for 8 years.

Even though how they first meet was Cole picking Flowers for his up coming wedding to someone else.

They had never gotten over each other and once Natalie released everything she wanted was Cole.

Again a slow build but beautiful read

She was driving me crazy! I don't think I've ever wanted to slap someone so much in my life, as much as I wanted to do it to Natalie. She was living in denial, pure and simple. I guess sometimes, you are the last one to admit certain things to your self. Either way, it was a fun read, frustrating (meaning Natalie) but lovely. And we get to see some of our favorite characters ;)

Great story in a great series. Uniquely captivating introduction to the return of "The Cole Hill" in Natalie's life. Loved their journey - could not put down till The End.
Pickles was an extra "laugh out loud" bonus to the story.

We met Natalie in the first book and I was hoping she have her own story. I was thrilled when I realized that book two was about her. At the beginning I didn't like either Cole or Natalie. Natalie was just aggravating. But once it hit the 70% they both grew on me. Can't wait to start book theee!

Lost in the passion so easily as always.

Easy to get lost in the passion and energy as it flows off the pages. A wonderful read as always.

I love second chance romances, and this could have been a 5 star read for me had the heroine been a liiiiiitle bit less annoying.
