Ten years in the Navy, most with the elite brotherhood of SEALs, Axel Svenson “Swede” has dodged so many bullets, he knows his luck will someday run out. With younger blood pushing to take over for the older guys, and an injury that marks him for discharge, he takes the plunge into the civilian world. Since desk jobs aren’t what he’s cut out for, he checks on the pet project of one of his former teammates—Brotherhood Protectors. Providing personal security to rich people sounds like a walk in the park compared to where he’s been.
Prospective bride, Allie Patterson, thinks she’s marrying the man of her dreams. He’s rich, he’s handsome and mysterious—everything a woman should want. Until his secrets threaten her life. After several near misses, Allie reluctantly allows her fiancé to hire one of her brother’s bodyguards. The big, sexy, tatooed SEAL assigned to protect her is the kind of guy women drool over, and makes Allie question her decisions. Perhaps she’s marrying the wrong man for the wrong reasons. But her brother’s gruff friend can’t possibly be Mr. Right. Together, they traverse a dangerous journey to get Allie to the church on time…and alive.

I don't think it's possible for a heroine to commit any more TSTL acts than Allie does. With the possible exception of two times, every choice she made was wrong and so, so stupid. She was also the most stubborn heroine I've read in a long time. I'll also add arrogant to the nasty personality mix. This book was a total miss on her. The hero, Swede, was better. I liked him, but I liked his dog, Ruger, better. Great dog.
Allie Patterson is engaged to a handsome, sophisticated, wealthy man. Dream come true, right. Not quite. It seems that Mr. Perfect has some secrets and has been receiving threats. He hires a Brotherhood Proctors bodyguard to protect Allie. Allie is a take charge, take care of her self kind of girl and she is so not on board with the bodyguard, especially when he turns out to be 6'4" of hot, sexy, drool worthy man whose caring protection make her question her decision to marry her fiance.
Axel "Swede" Svenson is a retired Nave SEAL looking for a life after the service. He has sworn to his best friend that he will protect his sister and get her to her wedding on time. One look at the obstinate chin on the beautiful, red-headed Allie and he knows that he has his work cut out for him. Keeping her alive is his primary mission, getting her to the church to marry her fiance is the goal. Falling in love, so not the objective, but the end result.
Axel Svenson, aka Swede, a former teammate of Hank's (see book one for Hank and Sadie's story), is now an employee of the Brotherhood Protectors. His first assignment? Bodyguard to Allie, Hank's younger sister.
Of course, Allie doesn't feel she needs one and isn't at all intimidated by Swede's size or scars. But Allie's fiancé, Damien, is concerned due to some suspicious situations and feels she needs protection. It appears as though Damien has made some enemies, though I highly doubt Hank is surprised by that news. Psst...Hank, aka Montana, doesn't really care for Allie's fiancé, but he does adore his sister. Swede is still adjusting to civilian life and is missing the only family he had, his teammates. Although his new dog, an Australian shepherd named Ruger that he rescued from an animal shelter, does help combat the loss. *whispers* I have a feeling this SEAL team may be reunited soon, under a new brotherhood.
The more we follow along with Allie, the more it seems like all isn't sunshine and roses in her relationship with Damien. His ranch seems to be more of a gentlemen's retreat, as opposed to a working ranch, his hair is always perfectly coiffed, and there's been no follow through on one of the perks of a relationship...bow chick a wow wow has not happened at all between this couple. Nookie, denied. *shakes head* Not to mention, it's awfully convenient that he needs to go out of town on business for a few days, a week before the wedding. Of course, this also leaves room for Swede and Allie to fall madly in love. *eye waggle*
We quickly learn that hiring Swede is a good call as we hear an explosion on Damien's property at the barn, threatening the safety of the horses and a barn cat. *Suspicious behavior, not to mention not quite loving reactions, from Damien follows* Swede demonstrates more caring than Damien for all involved and so the spark ignites a little more *wrings hands gleefully* Allie is also starting to see that she truly doesn't know her fiancé, and is questioning her reasons for saying yes more and more as the wedding draws closer.
While Swede and Allie are almost constantly in each other's company, not only do the attempts on Allie continue, but their feelings for each other continue to grow as well. It's also becoming apparent that Allie is marrying the wrong man and he isn't quite an upstanding citizen.
How will Swede and Allie handle their ever strengthening feelings for each other? Will Allie follow her heart or will she feel obligated to her promise to marry Damien? What exactly is Damien involved in? If Allie does decide to call the wedding off, how can she tell Damien when she can't get a hold of him? Will Swede quietly watch as the woman he knows is the one for him marries someone else? Will Allie ever be safe? Will Swede and Allie get their HEA?
I recommend this book as it was a quick and enjoyable read. The premise and characters were intriguing and it was interesting to see Swede and Allie struggle with their feelings, while knowing they couldn't, or shouldn't, act on them while she's promised to another man. I thought this inner turmoil was handled quite nicely from the viewpoint of both characters. I loved Swede's dog, Ruger, and thought his name was perfect. We're also introduced to Tate Parker, aka Bear, the hero of book three, in this book and I'm looking forward to learning more about him and meeting his heroine.
**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**
Hot with plenty of action with surprises. Swede meets Allie, his best friends sister, after being hired to protect her. After many suspicious and dangerous accidents happen around Allie, her strangle fiancé hires Her brothers company to protect her Allie and Swede never expected the attraction. Enjoyed story.
My rating range of this story... 2 - 4.25 Stars If significant, why? The author should have prevented the relationship between the MCs until the decision was made to end the engagement. Biggest deduction? 1.0 points - it lessens my faith and respect for both MCs. Don't make the MCs cheat!

Final Notes... Please authors... When your MC(s) are engaged to other people, have them break it off before moving on. Cheating does not a strong character make!
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. It is book 2 in the Brotherhood Protector series. It is a stand alone book with a HEA. Swede is a Navy Seal and on his last mission was hurt to bad to return to his unit. Now he is a civilian working for his Seal buddy Hank as a bodyguard. His first assignment is to protect Hanks little sister and get her safely to her wedding. Allie is a country girl thru and thru and does not think she needs a bodyguard. This is a wonderful story could not put it down, read it in one setting. Love this series recommend it to all Seal lovers. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Happy reading.
Second book in the Series and it's Swede's story together with Hank's little sister. Allie who needs a protection since she was engaged to her rich fiance. From the end of book 1 I knew that there's something wrong with her sudden engagement with her fiancé. Due of there's some threats her Fiancé ask for a protection for Allie and it was Hank's Brotherhood Protector who he ask for help and Allie was the first client for Swede. Both Hank and Swede knew that there's something wrong with Allie's fiance especially after what happened to her in a few times and still leave her facing her those nasty life threatening accidents and someone really wants to harm or kill her. Swede knew that not only his body risk for this job but also his heart coz he's falling for Allie. So does with the latter even if sometimes she denies it due of commitment to being engaged to someone else. For Swede, it's a body that worth to protect. Falling for his SEAL comrade's little sister is a different matter.
I like the series. I also love Swede also his rescue dog, Ruger. He's perfect, after being discharge to his Military service and starting his life as a civilian, getting a job through Hank. He's a perfect guy. I love on how he manage to tame some animals like Ruger and the horses. A quick letter for getting a rancher life. Plus his dedication as a bodyguard even if he's falling for Allie. The only downside for me is Allie, sometimes she's annoying like it's obvious that she has a feelings for Swede and everyone's telling her that she should postpone the wedding due of some circumstances but she still insist. It's kinds annoying whenever that part brings up in the scene. Aside from that there's nothing more.
Set for medical discharge, Axel 'Swede' Svenson travels to Montana to join with Hank 'Montana' Patterson in his new endeavor. Providing security and bodyguard services is the name of the game for Brotherhood Protectors. Axel has also recommended someone he became close to in rehab, Bear. Although not a SEAL, he is Delta and this would be right up his alley too. Axel's first assignment is to protect Allie Patterson, Hank's sister. She is getting married and the groom has received threats to her safety. Allie Patterson is a stubborn, much like her father and brother. She is determined to get married, nothing and no one is going to stop this wedding from happening. Not even the groom, who manages to disappear on business right after his barn burns to the ground.
Allie puts her bodyguard Swede through his paces the first day at the ranch and in spite of herself she feels more than a little attracted to him. That her father and everyone else on the ranch like him to really doesn't help matters.
The more time Allie spends with Swede the more she questions her motives for marrying Damien. She is also determined to go through with the wedding. No matter what anyone says.
Swede needs to protect Allie from the escalating attempts on her life and at the same time keep himself from falling deeper for this tempestuous female.
A roller coaster ride of excitement, lust and emotions as they figure out who is after Allie, and bring him to justice.
Swede is medically discharged from SEALs after the last deployment when he was injured. Now he is trying to figure out what to do with his civilian life so he comes to Montana to join another SEAL team member who has started a security/bodyguard business. Swede is tasked with being the bodyguard to his friends sister until she is married in a week. Allie is a hard working farm girl who doesn't think she needs a "babysitter" and that she can take care of herself until someone tries to run them off the road and shoots at them. When someone blows up the barn at her fiancé's place with them right there and then her fiancé leaves town right away for business she begins to doubt his feelings. She has no idea what her fiancé does that would have people coming after her. The more time Swede and Allie spend together the more feelings they start to have for one another but Allie keeps trying to deny them and insist that she is still getting married. Will they be able to figure out who is after Allie before the wedding? Will Allie go through with the wedding? I really loved this book but I kind of suspected who was involved in the attempts on Allie's life.
This is the second book in the Brotherhood Protectors series. Axel just got out of the military on a medical discharge and has started working for the Brotherhood Protectors. His boss asks him to protect his sister Allie who is engaged and her fiancée was concerned about some threats he received. There is a threat written on the her fiancée's barn and is discovered a few minutes before the barn is blown up. There is danger at every turn so Swede has to stay close to Allie to protect her. Swede and Allie aren't exactly on the same page. Allie believes she can take care of herself but as the danger increases Swede is even more convinced he needs to stay close. The more they stay together they closer they become but Allie's wedding is in a few days, is she making a mistake by marrying the wrong man? I love this book and the series. The characters are amazing and the story line is original. This is a must reads!
2 Bride Protector SEAL (Brotherhood Protectors Book 2)Swede and Allie by Elle James 5 stars I purchased a copy of the steamy romantic suspense novel Bride Protector SEAL (Brotherhood Protectors Book 2)by Elle James and this review was given freely. Action and drama packed this sequel contains multiple explosions, two violent mysteries, a city raised SEAL thrown into ranch life with a way with horses, and introduces four new members of the Brotherhood Protectors. Medically discharged after the same accident that discharged his team member Hank, Axel "Swede" Sevenson moves with his rescue Australian Shepherd Ruger to Montana to join the newly formed Brotherhood Protectors security company where his first assignment happens to be Hank's little sister Allie who is engaged to be married in a week to the patronizing but rich gentleman rancher Damien.
Axel Svenson known as Swede as a Navy SEAL finds he is a civilian after being wounded, going through rehab and no longer a SEAL. He finds a job with another former SEAL as a bodyguard and becomes Bride Protector SEAL as part of the new company Brotherhood Protectors. The bride is his buddy's sister Allie Petersen.
Her life is in danger and Swede stops several attempts to kill her in the fast moving story. Her bridegroom goes on a mysterious business trip, leaving her in danger. Swede and Allie grow close and Allie decides to call off the wedding but her intended has other plans adding a final twist to solve the mystery of who is after Allie. The book moves fast, the story is full of danger and Swede is a great hero.
Allie stayed home with her cantankerous father while her brother Hank headed to the Navy to become a Navy Seal. Good thing Allie likes ranching. She also dreams of traveling and a different life. Basically she accepts the proposal of marriage by the first non-rancher with a little extra cash to come along.
An accident happens that has her fiancé contacting her brother Hank’s new protection business. Swede is on the job one day when the barn Allie is near blows up. Things keep happening and her fiancé is out of town and is unreachable.
What’s a hunk of a body guard and a woman questioning her up coming marriage to do while fighting off attacks?
I had met Allie in the first book of this Series, and I just knew something was off with her relationship with her rich fiance. I have to say, I never guessed what that was and it is not revealed until the last chapter. Honestly, I am still not sure why someone was after Allie, as the connection wasn't really described clearly enough for me. There was certainly chemistry between Allie and her beefcake of a Body Guard, former Seal, Axel. I was a little surprise of the timing between these two, as Allie did not seem like the type to cheat on her boyfriend. It was great to catch up with Sadie and Allie's brother. I also thought Axel's dog was an entertaining addition. Rating 3.5
Axel "Swede" Svenson gets his first Brotherhood Protectors assignment and it's a tough one. Not danger wise but the the person he's protecting is the boss's sister. N9 pressure there. Allie Patterson doesn't want or need (at least in her opinion) the bodyguard her fiance has hired. What's worse is that Swede sticks to her like glue. He's a city boy through and through but manages to handle every task and curveball thrown at him by Allie. The attraction between them is apparent but acting on it is definitely not wise. Escalating danger, an absentee fiance, great action and sizzling chemistry make this book well worth reading.
Directionless with no family or home to go to and his injury ensuring he’d be deskbound if he remained in the navy. Axel ‘Swede’ Swenson was glad his former SEAL buddy, Hank had an opportunity for him. Though Swede had no idea how to be a bodyguard. But Swede didn’t get the glamourous assignment with the rich and famous he was expected.
Swede was assigned Hank’s baby sister, Allie Patterson until her wedding to a man no one wants her to marry. The only good thing he’s done was ask for a bodyguard for her since inexplicably strange and terrifying things happen around her. A fast and fun read but the ending seemed rushed to my taste. Rating: 4stars
Former Navy SEAL, Axel "Swede" Svenson is assigned the first case of the newly formed Brotherhood Protectors. His reluctant charge is his best friend and boss Hanks sister Allie, the bride-to-be. The job. Damien, Allie’s fiancé wants her to get to the church on time and alive. Complicating matters Swede and Allie finds themselves drawn to each other regardless of the looming wedding day. Any chance at true love will depend on finding out the reason why she is being targeted. As well as who is behind the attacks.
A good effort building on the characters introduced in the first book. I am thoroughly enjoying this Kindle Unlimited series.
Hank’s sister, Allie, needs a bodyguard to protect her and her fiancé hires his new business to do it. Hank’s former Seal Team member and now his new employee Swede is the man for the job. Allie is not very excited about having someone following her around and doesn’t make it easy for Swede. The wedding is in a week and there are more attempts on Allie’s life and the attraction between her and Swede grows. I enjoyed this book. It had lots of action and suspense and sexual tension.
I liked Swede! This is a new series with twists, suspense and life itself. What does a former SEAL or Special Forces guy do once they have served their country, often come home wounded and their entire life was the military. What kind of job can they find; who are their friends and do they have family ties. Swede became a bodyguard, found family dynamics and Allie. This story has mystery, suspense and romance. The end was a bit rushed but maybe that was just me as I still wonder why they burned the barn.
Swede and Allie's story kept you laughing while having intense moments. Allie is a spitfire who is getting married very soon to a rich businessman who owns a large ranch nearby. Now she finds herself with a handsome bodyguard who is a former SEAL who served with her older brother, Hank.
I could not give this story 5 Stars because it ends at 85%. It is starting to feel like the price is high. I don't mind paying full price just as long as the stories are at least 95-99% in length. These seem like they are becoming short. I hope the next one is longer.
Swede is a former Seal and has been medically discharged. He joins the Brotherhood in Montana. His first case if protecting his boss's sister. Allie is to marry a rich neighbor and her family really doe's understand the reason. Her groom leaves town the week of the wedding and she can't get in touch with him to tell him about the attacks.
Swede is falling for Allie and she is really confused on who she is really interested in. Allie goes to the church to get married; or is she still going thru with it?
First time bodyguard, has his hands full with his first assignment, in more ways than one!
It starts as a tame bodyguard assignment for a young very stubborn bull-headed lady. She's used to working right along with the ranch hands to take care of her father's ranch in Montana. Along the way though, somebody starts shooting at her tried to run her off the road, they blow up a barn and almost kill her trying to get the horses out. It's very hard to figure out who's behind it! I had a few guesses and they were not the the right one, and only one of those guesses was close to being right. So in order to find out what really happened and who the culprit really was, you'll have to read the book for yourself
another great military romance. Swede has decided to leave the military and joins his friend Hank in Montana. They are forming a security protection agency and Swede's first assignment is to protect Hank's sister Allie. As they work to find out who is after Allie and her fiance, Swede starts having strong feelings for Allie.. It also seems Allie shares his feelings but refuses to break off her wedding plans. What will happen to Swede and Allie, and who is after Allie?
One of the things these books have in common is the insta-love. These guys have lived hard and fast. They have had to with the jobs they did. They fall in love the same way- hard and fast. It's really kind of sweet. But what I want to know is how Hank feels about Swede falling for his sister while on body guard duty with her. Guess falling for your buddy's sister isn't against the rules in this world. Fun story.
That was crazy!! I don't quite understand a few things. But Swede is a awesome shot!! He has a way with animals. It's crazy that her fiance upped and ran away like A damn coward then avoided her. At 1st I thought maybe he was having a affair and that's why he treated her like that but then at the end was different outcome. At least Swede was able 2 get through 2 her stubbornness 2 her heart. I loved it until the case that Bear was on.
This is a story about a diamond smuggler. What I didn’t like is how the protector fell head over heels with the bride to be within a day of meeting her. Likewise, she’s engaged to be married and falls for her protector within a day. The danger scenes aren’t very realistic and the conclusion leaves you wondering why the villain chose her to be the one to marry in order to smuggle his diamonds out of the country. Many questions few answers.
I loved Swede's story, for the most part. I think Ally's clinging to her engagement was a little over the top but overall I loved the story, and I'm loving this series. Despite the h getting on my last nerve I enjoyed her journey and that is EJ's talent, she writes strong characters, that are flawed and yet still larger than life and very likable.
