Favorite Quotes:

Love isn’t a destination, John, it’s a journey.

He was well aware of other men staring at her as she walked by, and he wanted to tattoo his name on her forehead.

We’re here for you, and if that man comes anywhere near my ranch, I have a shotgun itching to be used.

Gossip was another favorite activity of the people in town. Anything they could sit around their living room and talk about over a bottle of wine was sure to get their attention.

She was definitely going to grow into a sassy teenager, and one day, far from then, she would give some poor bastard a run for his money.

My Review:

I had been itching to know the mystery behind Abby’s background and I was thoroughly entertained and enjoyed reading John and Abby’s love story. Fight For Me was a sweet and sexy read with a happy ending. The storyline was relevant, topical and engaging. I adored John, but I always love a sexy nerd.

I was hooked from the start. The Callaway men are quite a dynamic bunch. With the third installment of the Callaway series, you will not have to read the other two to understand the series. The men love hard and once they fallen, they protect to the fullest.

Abby had a secret. A secret that made her flee where she lived. And she had to protect herself and others. I felt for her but saw that she was so strong to make that choice. Her relationship and bond with John was strong. With a man who supported and protected who loved her would do anything for her. And let me say that John is swoon worthy. John was a family man. With running the ranch, he was behind the computer most of the day. But he always made time for Abby. After a year of friendship, he was ready to take Abby to the next step. But once he finds out her secret, he's all in.

Kaithlin Sheppard writes beautifully. She captures the characters and their family to feel like you are there with them on their ranch. Fight With Me touches on Domestic Violence.

This is the third book on the Callaway Brothers, but you do not need to read any of the other brothers to read any book of your choice. This one was touching all around as many things could have gone differently in this story and they didn't. In this story we meet John and Abby. Abby works for Amanda at the diner and John is one of the hottie brothers who we cannot get enough on. He is the responsible brother who enjoys running the business side of the farm. Oh he likes to get dirty every now and then, but each brother plays a keep role that helps the farm succeed the way it does. From the moment he seen Abby he knew she was the one, he didn't pressure her though and they were friends for over a year before taking a giant leap. Everyone knew Abby was hiding something, but John knew she would tell when she was ready.
Wow! Abby's story is heartbreaking and she is very strong and brave for how she handled this. She protected her heart at best. Once John is made aware of her past and what this may mean for them it is so touching to see how this plays out. I had tears many times just as John did. I loved how the Thompson's helped out with this situation too. I was hoping for a spin off with the Thompson siblings and with where we see some characters going this may be looking good for us who have been reading the whole series. I'm still holding out on Nick and Becca stories though.
Fight for Me is about fighting and protecting those you love and showing others out there that there are still good men in this world. If you have not yet meet the Callaway brothers, you will fall in love with this close-knit family. You will laugh, cry and be fighting for a win at the end of this book.

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
John Callaway has always been the one to carry on and make sure the the ranch was taken care of as well as his family. He spends most days in his Dad's office making sure to not letting his family down. When he meets the new girl in town at the diner he is blown away. No woman has ever pulled to him before. Abby Johnson is hiding from a dangerous past. She is happy for the first time in a long time until her past catches up with her. Is John the man that she can finally trust and let in? Will John give Abby the time she needs to open up to him or will her secrets push away the best person who has ever walked into her life.
Love is always worth fighting for and John is a man who is a stand up man who is always here for everyone around him. When he sees Abby he knows she is part of that list of people he will do anything for. Abby is a strong and courageous woman who has been faced so much. She wants a person to love and to love her. I loved this story it was so emotionally riveting. John and Abby are perfect for each other. I definitely recommend this book and series.
A well written story with good characters and plot. This is the third book in the series and can be read as a standalone. I have not read the first 2 books yet, and was not lost. I liked the small-town life with supportive family and friends. The male lead, John, has a good heart, is patient, and kind. The female, Abby, finds healing and love from John. She is putting her past in the past, and her character grows within the story. I liked that she became independent and strong yet still a bit vulnerable. The two characters are well suited for each other. If you need a read that shows that good men are out there, this is it.
John one of the Callaway brothers, he keeps busy running the ranch ( the office part) while his brothers work hard on the ranch. John has gotten a little lost. He doesn't work on the ranch like he used to, doesn't really go out except to pick up Abby.  Abby has been in Montana for a year now. Abby works for Amanda. Abby is shy Until you get to Know her, then you realize
what a Gem she is but they all Know She is hiding Something. John has managed to be a good friends but not enough for her to open Up. John really likes abbeys and abbey likes John. John is taking it slow, but finally Mustard up the Courage to ask abbey on a date. then one day Abby gets a call that changes her life . what happens now
The Callaway men are absolutely amazing. I love John and Abby's story and can't wait for the next book.
This books deals with healing after domestic violence and although there's not any first hand physical confrontation there is recounting of abuse. I felt for Abby and Maddie, this book made me want to cry at times but also made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion.
I definitely recommend reading the first 2 books in the series but this can be read as a stand alone.
If you're looking for something that will keep you invested and turning the pages this is it.
John spent too much time in his office handling the family ranch matters. It didn't stop him from thinking about the one woman who had captured his thoughts for the last year, despite they had yet to go on a date. There was something about Abby. Something she was hiding that kept her apart. He was determined to find out what. With the teasing from his family, he figured they were in agreement. He wanted what two of his brothers had and hoped he could find it with her.
Abby did have secrets. A history of pain, fear, and loss. John was a friend. She wasn't afraid of him. At least she didn't think she was. She did friend things with him. Had coffee, rode to and from work with him, he was everything a man should be. What would he think if he knew about her?
When her past caught up with her, she told him. Would they be able to get past the fear and pain?
The family is one everyone wishes for, close, teasing, willing to be there and do anything for those close to them and theirs. If Abby was John's, she was theirs as well. You'll like the family. The characters you just know are going to make great stories for later. The author draws them in hinting about their lives and problems. They have flaws, but at the heart of the family they are loyal. The kids in the family are feisty, smart and spoiled with all the love a big family can offer. Often touching, steamy, and one to add to the TBR (again) list.
5 It's Everything I Wanted For Him Stars!!!
I've been looking forward to John's story since I started this series and what a beautiful heart-wrenching story we've been given by Ms. Shepherd.
Abby is a woman that leads a quiet life, and as we come to find out, for a very good reason, in their small Montana town and she and John Callaway have been flirting for more than a year. Each are afraid to take that next step, but their connection is undeniable!!
When Abby finally opens up to John and let's him see her heart and the heart of her sweet and beautiful little girl my heart melted. He's such a good man and his love is powerful and will protect both of them from anything that tries to ruin their chances of a HEA! Yes, I'm alluding to something, but you'll have to read the book to find out what it is!
I've loved every book in this series, but I can say, that this is my favorite and I'm so in love with John and Abby's story and I know you will be too!!
I loved this book and the story of John and Abbie, they both needed the other so much more then either of them realized. She has been hiding from her ex for a year and finally feels like she can start admit her feelings for John, then the unthinkable happens. The family rallies around them, however will it me enough for them to overcome the danger.
This was a book I was immediately able to immerse myself in. The scenery, the characters-all of it, was easily brought to life in my head when reading. Kaithlin did a phenomenal job bringing out a the small town country feel that I grew up knowing. Each character had great depth, making me excited to read more about them all in her other books. Though I’m not sure I could love any of them more than I loved John and Abby.
This is book three in The Callaway Family and it is John and Abby's story. John is all work and no play since his father passed away but that changed when he met Abby and he realised that he wanted everything with her but will it all work out. Abby was on the run from her abusive husband and after spending time in a small town in Montana and getting to know John she finally starts to feel safe but what happens next could destroy everything in her life that she has built. John and Abby have such a strong connection and chemistry between them but will it be enough when all her secrets are revealed and give them the happy ending that they both deserve. Wow I absolutely loved this book so much and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by Kaithlin Shepherd who is a brilliant author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading.
I am completely and utterly in love with John Callaway! Right from the beginning he fully captured my heart with his patience, kindness and massive heart.
Abby is trying to outrun her scary past. She has difficulty trusting people but especially men. But John is able to get around her armour and find his way into her heart. It is the small gestures that have the biggest meaning. When her past finally catches up with her she needs to put her trust in John and the people around her.
There is more than a community here: it is a family and family are there for you and stand up for you and by you. It is this that makes this whole series of books so amazing and this was no exception. It brought so many feels and made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
WOW!! I've reviewed this book for United Indie Book Blog. This is the third book in this series. I think that this is one is the most touching book so far. John is one of the Callaway Brothers'. John keeps the business part of the ranch. While the brothers run the actual ranch. Abby is running from something from her past. Abby is shy until you get to know her good. Abby is a caring, loving and kind woman. This book is deals with healing, growing and be able to move on from the past. I definitely recommend this series. You will need to go back to the first book that way you can get to know everyone. Can't wait to read the next one in this series. Keep up the amazing work Kaitlin! It's a MUST READ!
