4.5 stars rounded up because of that certain something her manga have that's difficult to put into words but that is definitely there. I don't know how she does it - her stories aren't unusual per se, but her characters are all individuals, and her manga are funny and moving and touching and literally never disappoint. Another mangaka whose works I buy without a second thought.
It's refreshing having a short BL manga that actually has a story, moreover it shows both sides feelings and the uke is kind of a hidden tsundere while the seme is just a kind hearted idiot. The art doesn't aim for very attractive characters, makes it natural and well proportioned, with a good pace in each chapter.
Confirmed. Ichikawa-sensei is my favorite yaoi mangaka. Her stories... awww.. This one is about Taisei who, the first time he sees Sumeragi, he is in awe with that beautiful face and confesses his love. Turns out, the beautiful face belongs to a guy. So we have Taisei's friends making fun of him and he saying over and over again he is not a homo. Sumeragi tries to avoid him at school, but with a little help of the friends, he tries to befriend Taisei. Until Taisei can't help it and kisses him.
Awww this was a really sweet story. Sumeragi reminded me a little bit of Miyamura from ホリミヤ 1, only gloomier. Both guys are constantly saying "I am not a homo" but are very much aware of each other. Like in her other mangas, this broke my heart a couple of times (in the good way). Specifically, when Sumeragi cries after seeing Taisei with the girls, after days of not talking to each other. Adorable.
Taisei's group of friends were so nice and laid-back. I am glad they welcomed lonely Sumeragi in their group <3 I love everything about this manga, from the normal art to the pure love. Super, super cute!
I'm pretty sure I read this several times but didn't realise I've already read it. It's not a new story line, the art isn't even remarkable, but for some reason I still really, really loved it. It has the right feel to it and the characters are always genuine in Kei Ichikawa's manga. I loved the dynamic in the friendship group and between Taisei and Sumeragi and it's a nice fluffy read.
This was recommended on twitter by one of my subber friends, and since it was short I decided to read it. I thought the characters were pretty cute (if complete idiots) and I liked the story, but I didn't really like the art all that much. Overall an average read.
this one too <3 its just too cute like, hell. I love all of ichikawa's works. The art is beautiful and the plot are good. Not just about sex or whatever like a really insta love.
I didn't like this, I really struggled to read the Manga. I did not like the characters at all, style and personality and the whole setup. I also didn't like the drawing style and the story was boring to me. Overall, a flop for me.
