Hermione and Draco team up after the war to overthrow the Order and take over wizarding Britain. "I don't even especially mind belonging to you most of the time," he closes his eyes and just breathes for a bit, savoring not being in pain. Finally he adds, "Just… try to take better care of your toys." Dark Dramione. Words: 183,830 complete
I wanted to love this. With all the praise, makes me feel awkward. As a story, my praisies. As a dramione fanfic, i don't find this that good. I just couldn't get into the romance. Felt disconnected with D and H all the way. At the end i like them, but in those first stages they were just so off, falling in love became so sudden and unexplained. As an independent story, it has its value. It really shows how a dictator comes to life. Takes politics and propaganda at the front view, and manages well enought to show its impact. I guess Dark Dramione may not be my thing, because for the sakes of this story many characters were out of characterization, and most of the time i can handle it but found it difficult in this particular case. As warnings, there's mayor Weasley bashing, violence and death.
I absolutely loved this story! I have read it many times and am so happy to find out that fanfiction is on GoodReads!
I'm a massive Dramione slut and I loved this story! It takes the corruption and the possibility of what could happen when the good guys win, but they are just as corrupt.
It had potential, but I don’t know something was missing , I liked the evil hermione concept I even get the Ron being a dick but I just couldn’t digest the entire assholes Weasleys and more importantly bad Harry? Nah I’m sorry , and everything feels so superficial I just couldn’t-

Wow. This was DARK. I've never actually read a Dark fic where it touches on everything except r*pe, and I'm very glad that Colubrina does not touch that at all. But, it was intriguing. And I kept reading and devouring the story because I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I love when Hermione's ruthless trait is really pushed to it's full potential. I l also adore submissive Draco.
Overall, it was a great story but now I need to read something light and fluffy for the sake of my sanity.
I don't normally enjoy Dramione, but Colubrina does a terrific job of this. Hermione has been cast aside as the Order of the Phoenix enjoys its victory, and thus she can see what many in the Order do not...the corruption, the debasing of coinage, the investment of wizard money into unstable muggle markets, the use of Ron and Harry as distractions, and horrible conditions for orphans of the war. She muses, half drunk, to Draco Malfoy about how Tom Riddle was an idiot declaring himself a Dark Lord, and randomly torturing people; that you have to make the populace love you.
Colubrina weaves a tale from that starting point, which will enrapture you, especially if you've studied 20th century political history, or classical literature.
don't get me wrong this fic is interesting to read, etc but the amount of disgusting fatphobic comments body shaming characters that aren't thin has put me off this author forever. can't believe these weren't edited out its honestly just fucking embarrassing for the author.
Most favorite book as of the moment. Wonderful how Colubrina took existing elements and weaved through different threads to a new and enticingly dark world.
A lovely Dark Hermione fic! Hermione certainly doesn't get enough credit, and I loved her as the Dark Lady with a collection of loyal found family members around her. The last few chapters of the book did loose me a little, and Harry and Hermione aren't best mates (which always makes me a little sad in a fic) but overall very enjoyable!
It’s really well written, so well written that I spent the whole day reading it instead of doing all the things I needed to do.
Colubrina has all of my respect and admiration for the amount of research that went into this. The literary references, the historical references and all the planning of the story… a round of applause for them.
I wept. This was incredible. I love Dark Hermione and Dark Draco. Ron, Ginny, Molly Weasley are the worst in this and it does remind me a bit of Manacled in how they all (the Order) do Hermione dirty. Exceptional writing.
4.5 stars. Great story of Granger using her wits to climb the ladder. Love some Ron bashing because she could definitely do better. I'm definitely a Colubrina fan now. Green girl will still always have my heart.
A very different type of Dramione. Not the best fic I’ve read when it comes to the love story(stories), but this is a very well written fic about corrupting power from within and without. Luna is the GOAT
I initially gave this 5 stars, but I dropped it to four because I feel like the ending was rushed and somehow incomplete. It was a great book, it just ended with a feeling of being rushed.
