I love books that move me, make me think and allow powerful relationships with the characters in them. As my husband so eloquently puts it, I am 'Literally the only person he knows who will laugh out loud, gasp or cry while reading.'
I penned my first novel in the hopes to bring peace to myself and in turn have brought peace, healing and understanding to thousands. Thank you for your ongoing and enthusiastic support, it means the world to me.
I'm feeling so empty and sad that this story is over now!! This book and the first have had me hooked all day and I'm sad that it's over and I now have that empty, yet happy feeling that you get when you just finished a good book. I hope to see more stories from this author in the future. I have high hopes for this woman!
Why is this not a Movie? When you catch yourself talking to yourself when you've read something crazy! That's how you know you have yourself a good read. Drama filled and suspenseful second part to "Pillbilles".
The first book of this series had me a bit skeptical to read the second, but I am so glad I did. I am a stickler on the bad guy getting his/her comeuppance and typically thriller/suspense novels like to kill them off. There is no justice there! That is a lazy way of ending these otherwise great stories. HOWEVER!! K.L. Randis, bless her soul! did the best job of ARRESTING the bad mamajamma. It filled me with such joy and happiness to see that there is a fulfilling end.
Loved it! Mainly for the ending.

I read this after reading the first pillbillies book and I enjoyed the thrill. As a recovering addict I really enjoyed the story and seeing am addict in recovery. I loved the characters and I couldn’t put the book down once I picked it up. I read both pillbillies books in one day. Great read. Such a thrill.
The writer opens a world to the reader to her personal experiences. Her writing is engaging. I read her first novel, Spilled Milk, and wanted to read more of her work. I can't wait to read her fourth book. She definitely has talent.
I would recommend her work to teenagers and up. I think there is still room for a sequel to her book 'Lace'.
Seriously this book was a great finish to the Pillbillies series. Jared came back and took back his life as well as his town. Kind of sucked that the book was so short but once again K.L Randis has done it again. I honestly feel as the two book should have just been one though, other than that this series was so good.
Favorite Quote: “You can never be lost if you know where you’ve been.”
You have to read this book and it's predecessor Pillbillies.I already had mad respect for this author after reading her book Spilt Milk but when I went on to read these two books it only just increased my respect.Great, believable characters and the subject matter is oh so relevant in today's society.
I didn’t mind the book. I actually finished it in 2 days because of how much action/drama to this book it had. But I think pillbillies book number 1 should have just stayed at that end and not go for a number 2. I did not like the ending why can’t we know how he lived after!
“You can never be lost if you know where you’ve been”
2nd of 2 book short series. Nice ending. It does not erase the wrong that drugs can do to one's life but this series definitely gives a message of hope and perserverance to battle drug addiction. Question is, those do drugs don't really read books, do they?
I thought I was not going to like this book because, at first, he was going back home, and ended up in the drug trade once again. Yet he ended up on the right side of the law, even when local law was corrupt. It will be interesting if there is a sequel. I would like to see where he and his family land.
I feel like I know the characters in this book I stopped reading my "currently reading book" in order to read this entire book. This is the 2nd book of the series. I loved them both...Jared is hot!!!! It's a crazy life..being a drug dealer....but you want Jared to win the game! I'm waiting for the third book!!!!
This is a great ending to the story but I wish there was a little more detail. I want to know why Jared's Dad beat Hailey so bad. I want to know if they rescued his Dad. I want to know if his parents forgave him? Are Haley's parents going to accept Jared? So many unanswered questions but I still loved it!!!!
The book slowly pulls you in taking many interesting turns. Great characters that can be related to real life. I highly recommend this book for teachers, just to help them realize to some extent to understanding a little more about how easy its to get sucked into this
It was good but I'm glad I didn't pay to read this as both books were on a kindle unlimited deal I had. The writer could have easily wrote just one book. All in all, I thought it was a fair representation of the lovely world of addiction. The ending was maybe a tad too sunny, but that is neither here nor there.
It was okay -- little boring, but okay. The whole book, just like the first book "Pillbillies" used 95% of the book for boring backdrop -- it was only about 5% of the book that really mattered. I'm glad it was free and short. I did like "Spilled Milk" but this doesn't measure up.
I have a short list of favorite authors with Stephen King and Dean koontz at the top. You just made my list. I will read more of your work when I find it. I have already read spilt milk. And that's where I heard of these two titles of books pillbillies 1 and 2. Thank you for writing
The author had a lot to work with in this story but for whatever reason chose to end it in the laziest way possible. There are more loose threads than the fringe on a flapper dress. Very disappointing...
Pillbillies and Lace are must reads! Wonderfully woven and realistic. Love this authors books. Taking a look at drugs in these two books and domestic abuse in Spilled Milk. This author is red- hot on touchy subjects.
Enjoyed this book almost as much as the first one. The charts evolved well but it's ending was not as detailed as I'd envisioned. Well done, as detailed go.
I felt like there could have been a lot more to this book. Especially the ending. It felt rushed. I loved Pillbillies. It kept me intrigued and wanting to know what was going to happen next. But this one wasn’t my favorite.
This was a great conclusion to the Pillbilly Series. I'm glad Jared sobered up and wanted more for himself and was able to try to forgive himself for his mistakes. I would definitely recommend this series to my friends and lovers of books.
Super short read. Quick and easy to follow. It filled in any questions and loose ends were tied quickly and efficiently. Loved the 1st book and this one didn’t disappoint!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As a recovering addict, I identified with the main character. The speech he gave to his ex about deciding to be clean finally was really good.
Great book and well written. It is based on the way things are happening nowadays, sad but it is the way a lot of society lives or at least know someone who lives that way. I cant wait for the next series, hopefully it will be a 3 soon
Seeing the ruined lives, the deaths, the destroyed families this way brought a terrifying understanding as the second book unfolded. The money is a trap and it is sad and sickening. I liked the ending.
The story of Jared finishes here. All the characters end up where they should be. Its been an exciting drug journey. I enjoyed it very much. This definitely could have come from a real life story.
Great book! Though I was kinda bummed with the way it ended. It felt rushed and left off. It was going so well then it just ended. It was like watching a really good movie and at the best part, the TV dies. Overall I did really enjoy the book, the beginning had me so stunned tho like woah! 😶
Absolutely loved this book and the one before it. Could not take my eyes off. Very intriguing. Amazing author. Look forward to reading more of her novels in the future!
I thought this was run of the mill crime story; I was wrong. Intriguing, twisted, and an easy read. Wouldn't read again but after book one, I had to finish both books.
