"Melissa Foster is a wonderful connector of readers and books, a friend of authors, and a tireless advocate for women. She is the real deal"--Author Jennie Shortridge
This was my second Melissa Foster book and I was able to slip into her rhythm of writing easily. Ms. Foster has a knack of writing series which can be read as stand alone or enhanced with the prior knowledge of past characters. Either way, the reader will be pleased with the results.
Our main characters had threads of their lives which matched perfectly... an understanding of dedication and love of music... serious music. Jessica was a concert level cellist for the Boston Symphony Orchestra; one of the top five in the world. She was put on this path as a very young child by a mother who had the same talent but never reached the level she dreamed of... thus pushing our gal to fulfill the desires of fame, fortune and accomplishment relentlessly. This total dedication may allow for amazing achievements... but also leaves Bermuda Triangle size gaps in life lessons. These gaps cause Jessica to take a step back from the course she is on... to separate herself from what she has known all her life and see if it is what she truly wants in life. She is at the seaside community in Wellfleet, Massachusetts trying to discover who she really is.
One of the goals during this "timeout" was to locate a lost memento her father had from his childhood. Using Ebay for the first time on her smartphone... she loses the bid... she is so frustrated... she throws her phone off the terrace of the apartment she is renting, hitting down below a hunky, good looking guy in the head... She is so embarrassed, she tries to hide and pretend it wasn't her but Jamie knows better. This is how they meet and from the start there is interest on Jamie's part and curiosity on Jessica's.
You see, Jamie is not just a run of the mill cool guy... no, Jamie is the wunderkind computer genius who invented the next Google search engine, making him one of the most sought after business and dating targets. His conversation is so different with Jessica because she has no idea of who he is or anything about what he does... causing Jamie at first to be skeptical yet seriously intrigued. She doesn't understand how to work Ebay... doesn't do anything more than email on her computer and knows very little about her smart phone... can this be for real?
Jamie decides to just play it as things come and see what is what... He is here to look after his grandmother... who happens to be a retired musician as well. She traveled all over the world playing the same ways as Jessica. Jamie's parents died tragically and he went to live with his grandmother and grandfather. They loved him and gave him the support he needed... yet the loss of his parents and recently, Grandfather, is still something he is working through. He is tired, too, of things about his life; he has no interest in the types of women who throw themselves at him.... he is worn out with having to play the games of trying to figure out who is for real. He is also very concerned about his grandmother... wanting to make sure she is ok. Her health issues have brought him to the seaside...and all of these factors play a part in his being there to meet and pursue Jessica... it is a perfect storm for both... and we get to experience it.
I enjoyed this read for many reason; there were terrific secondary characters to either remember from other books or get to know in this one. They gave dimensional grit and humor... they made me feel I was part of the group observing the romance of Jamie and Jessica. The sweetest was the Grandmother and her care for both the characters; she understood the depth of Jessica's talent and the demands of her career.
The conflict was not a surprise to me... didn't love it... but in the structure of the book it worked due Jessica's limited life lessons and James' trust issues.
Over all, this was an enjoyable read and Melissa Foster will be an easy click click for me.

When I just want some warm romance, a little conflict and a bouquet full of feel-good-moments, I know I can count on Melissa Foster to take me away to another place. This time, in Seaside Sunsets I was taken to the shores of the East Coast, with warm breezes, white sands and the bonfires, have to have a bonfire! Jessica’s narrow focus on life has started to become too much, she needs a break, to taste what she has been missing, being young. In her twenties, she spends most of her time in a world of talent and propriety as a cellist in the esteemed Boston Symphony Orchestra. Renting a cottage by the shore sounds like just the thing to clear her head and relax, get out from under her demanding mother’s thumb.
A regular for years at the shore with his grandparents, Jamie’s grandfather is gone, his grandmother is getting older and he needs a break from the internet giant he has created. Now a multi-billionaire, a summer at the beach with old friends is what he needs, a chance to unwind and re-connect. Little did he know the cellphone that connected with his head and the beautiful woman who through it could make this the best or most devastating summer of his life. The blaze of the bonfire was nothing compared to the sparks that were being kindled between these two. As their romance warms up, and things seem so right, secrets, misunderstandings and an interfering friend dash their hopes for love like water douses a flame. Will pride and the manipulations of another stop Jamie from opening his heart to what could be the best thing to happen in his life
Leave it to Melissa Foster to write the perfect romance with all of the usual ingredients we want, but with a special flair of her own. Wonderful characters with sass and humor all around, two main characters who don’t even know they are missing a huge part of life until it magically appears and a smooth flowing tale that proves the journey can be just as good as the destination. No special deep thinking is needed, although you may experience a few desires to smack a couple of characters with a dead fish, Seaside Sunsets is a wonderful light, romantic read.

After reading positive reviews on a lot of blogs for Melissa Foster’s books I knew I wanted to try one. I wasn’t disappointed. I will tell you that this is rated an eighteen and above for explicit scenes.
This was a romance. Usually I am fine with those because there is something else in the storyline also happening to accompany it so I don’t get bored. But I would say that this was 95% percent romance and 5% about music playing and working a different job… hence being unable to have a relationship. Everything was pretty much centered on this love story which was different to my usual reads. But otherwise, it was reasonably pleasant.
The first half of the book was more explicit scene heavy than the second half, which I think led to me liking the ending a lot more. In the end it was less focused on the relationship and more about how Jessica needed to find a balance in her life if she was going to fit Jamie in there too. There was more mention of family, and what it meant to be part of one as well as Jessica and her cello (which I loved. Musical instruments in books always earn plus points!)
Outside of the story I really liked Jessica’s character. She was a steady person who only did things she thought was right. A woman with a reasonable head screwed on her shoulders and a workaholic who really needed a break, even though she wasn’t sure how to have one yet. I liked how easy-going she was but also that she was sensible. Sometimes more books need characters like her.
Jamie was a pretty good love interest but in my opinion he wasn’t anything special. He didn’t have any flaws that really stood out and because he was so perfect it made him less interesting. What I did really like about him though, was the love he had for his grandmother. It was so nice to see someone really caring for their elders, especially as he had no one else to look after him like she did.
A pretty good book! Not sure if I want to read another one or not, but I am glad I finally got to try out a book of Foster’s!
Jessica has devoted much of her life to her cello career. Spending several hours a day practicing and many nights performing doesn’t leave much room for a social life. Despite her mother’s disapproval, she decides to take a much needed hiatus from the Boston Symphony Orchestra and spend the summer vacationing at the Seaside community. Hoping to experience life and see if she has indeed been missing out, she goes against everything her mother has worked so hard to help her achieve to find out.
Founder of OneClick, one of the largest search engine websites, Jamie Reed has decided to spend the summer at Seaside and work remotely from his grandmother’s cottage. He wasn’t looking for a relationship, but there’s something about sweet, beautiful Jessica that piques his interest. But when he gets news that a major glitch has occurred within his company, his attorney/friend comes by to discuss business with him. Known to be a bit crass with the ladies, he takes it upon himself to confront Jessica about hers and Jamie’s blossoming friendship and succeeds in driving a wedge between them. But will Jamie find out what’s happened before it’s too late?
Love is buzzing at the Seaside community and Jamie has been bitten by the bug. Join him, along with the rest of the gang from Seaside as friendships are made, love develops and lies are told.
I have read all of the books in the Love in Bloom series. This one is definitely on the top of the list as one of my favorites. The characters are relatable, the story enjoyable and the passion is sizzling hot! Why not treat yourself to a beautiful sunset? Seaside Sunsets!
Hot summer days, fun in the sun, entertaining friends, and alluring, exciting new relationship surely to keep you warm during these cold winter months. The attraction between Jamie and Jessica is 'white hot', immediate, and so sweet and innocent at the same time. The images of the Seaside summer activities, and the romance, are so picture perfect. Jamie and Jessica are precious together, so adorable, loving, and passionate. The real world is forgotten, the life outside Seaside nearly exists, as they get to know each other, explore the new relationship. But when the reality hits, and doubts comes to mind, trust and understanding is put to test. I love the gang at the Seaside community. And absolutely adore Vera, and her wise words about life. And as love proves to be both 'painful and beautiful', the way Jamie and Jessica works the misunderstandings, problems, hurts, how they are willing to make sacrifices and compromises - how Jessica says 'I am hurt, but I am not willing to walk away' - and they stay and fix what nearly got broken, it's a relationship advice and example for many. Charming, cute, and sexy story, an absolute delight ~ Four spoons!
This one had me a bit worried that the guy and the girl might not make it! From the first glance they were head over heels about each other. I mean really--she's a shy musician who really hasn't dated much and he has big issues of his own-even so-instant chemistry. She is computer illiterate (but plays the cello in the Boston Symphony Orchestra)-He is a computer geek extraordinaire who has built up a company to rival Google. They meet when she throws her cell phone off the balcony in frustration (I can relate totally) and clocks hims in the head by accident! Plug in an over protection, manipulative and nasty friend of Jamie and you have got problems-big problems!! Luckily the Seaside girls have taken Jessica as one of their own and are teaching her what life and friendship is all about. As usual this is a fun book that I read really quickly--I had to know how it was going to turn out!! I really did get worried there for a while. Seaside Sunsets
Seaside Summers is a new favorite series of mine. I love all of the characters, and enjoy getting to know them all better with each book.
In Seaside Sunsets, I learned a lot more about Jamie, the boy-next-door that grew up with the Seaside girls. Jamie has a tragic past, which kept him closed off to a lot of the world outside of his family and friends. He is very successful and enjoys focusing on his business.
But all of that changed when he met Jessica, a sweet girl who lived a sheltered life. Together, Jamie and Jessica discover more about the world and each other as their romance blossoms. They must overcome some tough times together, and learn if their love is strong enough to come out the other side.
Jamie and Jessica's story is my favorite so far. I loved reading about their individual characters, getting to know some of the background characters in the story a little better. I identified with Jessica so much, and watching her grow before my eyes was very eye-opening for me.
I can't wait to read more of Jamie and Jessica's story in future books in the series.
3.5 stars. I liked this one but it wasn't my favorite in the series. I am excited for the next one though because Amy is adorable.
a total personal nitpick but as someone named Jessica I hate people calling me Jessie and literally only tolerate my family calling me that because they've done it since I was born. near the end Jamie keeps calling her Jessie and it just bugged me. Like I said total personal nitpick.
Oh my goodness! I always love going back to Seaside! Jamie and Jessica were everything! I knew they were meant to be! They have to be my new favorites! 💛
Seaside Sunsets is another great book in this series. I enjoyed the musical theme brought out in this story line. These books are my go to genre when I need a relaxing time-out book. Hot characters and a storyline to get lost in for a few delicious hours.
I haven't read the first two books in the Seaside Dreams series, but this didn't hinder my enjoyment of Seaside Sunsets at all.
Jessica is a new arrival on the scene, staying in the beachfront community as part of a summer hiatus to discover herself at the ripe old age of twenty-seven. She's been intensely focused on her career as a cellist and now wants to discover what it's like to have a social life.
Meanwhile, Jamie is the local nice guy. He's a very wealthy computer geek who has a close relationship with the grandmother who raised him after the sudden deaths of his parents.
Jessica has been so insulated by her life as a cellist that she's almost completely guileless. She's so open and honest with Jamie and so tentative and nervous about how to relate with the women of the Cape that I couldn't help but like her. I did think that it was odd that she was so out of practice at having friends. I think I have it my head that musicians can be both tightly knit but also ultra-competitive at these higher skill levels. Given her mother's controlling nature, it seemed plausible to me that Jessica would have been particularly isolated but it still struck me a time or two as an odd note.
For his part, Jamie is as delightful and delectable a hero as one could ask for - he's got brains, he's got the body, he wants all the best for Jessica and when he makes a mistake, he's absolutely willing to lay it on the line to make up for it.
The supporting cast of characters were colorful, and while I didn't love them all, that's absolutely okay. I didn't have any difficulty keeping the large cast straight, and I absolutely want to read Amy and Tony's story (which is coming next summer!)
Seaside Sunsets is what I would call a 'gentle romance.' Other than the extremes of these two being so physically attractive and so successful in their careers, Jessica and Jamie could have been any real contemporary couple faced with modern concerns and tensions around work and trust.
Several steamy sex scenes in this one - don't be misled by my 'gentle romance' talk! There's a beach scene that absolutely redefines the three-date rule, and I was amused and delighted by the fact that all the foreplay and build completely pays off. These two do not hold back behind closed doors!
The Bottom Line:
Seaside Sunsets is a great beach-themed read - a happy way to heat things up during these cold winter months! I recommend it for fans of contemporary romance, and I think it's absolutely okay to jump into Foster's impressive catalog of books with this one. She has an impressive backlist to check out after you've given Seaside Sunsets a whirl!
5 stars For fans of contemporary romance, low conflict romances, gentle romance
Have you ever had a feeling that there's going to be rocky roads ahead in a story? Well, that's the feeling I got when I started Melissa Foster's Seaside Sunsets. Yep, I had a feeling of dread, but don't worry its not for a while. Lets move on.
So, we get to know cute adorable Jessica Ayers. Now she's a bit socially awkward, after all she has spent most of her life not fitting in and focusing her attention on playing the cello. Lets be honest, playing an instrument is automatically not going to make you cool unless it's a guitar or drums in a rock band. Anyway, so when she gets to the area she's kind of unsure of herself and if you have been following the series you would know that the girls can be a bit of a handful. Obviously, Jessica doesn't know how to handle the situation.. Truth be told, I don't know if I would be able to handle the girls either. Anyway, Jessica is at a crossroads and she's not sure what direction she wants to go with her life. I mean she could stay on the same old path or find something thats more appealing to her. Now are guy who will be the next victim to find love, Jamie Reed. Jamie is a geeky workaholic who loves his grandma. Every now again he needs an escape from his life and he comes to Cape.
I love that these two hit off right the bat. They are just so cute together, and yes it's a whirl wind relationship that seems to perfect to be true and of course they are going to hit a bump or two.
All right, Melissa makes this Seaside Sunsets enjoyable, because we have two characters that tend to focus on what they do for a living. Then they find one another and they start to forget that there is more to life than work. Now only that Melissa is able to work in some witty lines that tickle your funny (or at least mine). So, here are some of my favorite lines from the story that just make the story fun:
JAMIE WAS HOT, hard, and hornier than a bunny on Viagra.
That's just funny. Plus, you kind feel bad for Jamie situation. Okay another one:
"There's nothing chunky about your sweet little body, but uh...I've got a little something chubby in my drawers that would like to do a little dunking."
These are just fun lines from the story. By the end of Seaside Sunsets you have be through an array of emotions. Melissa does a marvelous job at tugging on the heart strings when things get a little complicated Jamie's best friend is himself. Overall, Seaside Sunset is an enjoyable story. I find myself loving the Seaside Summer books. So, if you are needing an escape to the cape you might considering joining Jamie and Jessica on their adventures.
I enjoyed this story. It was what I have come to expect from Melissa Foster. Once again she has proven that she is worthy of remaining on my list of must read authors. Seaside Sunset is a beautiful story of friendship, heartache, loss, love and new beginnings. It will tug at your emotions and totally captivate you.
This book is number 23 in the Love in Bloom series and number 3 in the Seaside Summer series; however it can be read as a stand-alone. Like the previous books in the series Seaside Sunset takes place in the Cape. This series centers on a group of friends who spends their summer in the Cape and in the process finds love.
The instant I began reading, I was pulled into the story and I had difficulty putting it down. This was an easy read which flowed beautifully from beginning to end.
The story is about Jamie Reed and Jessica Ayers. I was briefly introduced to Jamie in previous books in the Seaside Summer series and I was glad to see him getting his own story. From the moment these two met it was clear that they had chemistry. Their initial meeting was somewhat awkward and a bit funny depending on how you look at it. Jessica in a fit of frustration had thrown her phone, over her balcony, hitting Jamie in his head.
Jessica, a cellist, came to the Cape to re-evaluate her life and career. In the process she found love and forged new friendships. Jaime is a multi-billionaire and the owner of One click, an internet search engine. He came to the cape for a much needed vacation and to spend time with his grandmother. The one thing he never expected to find was love. The spark between two was sizzling and their romance was sweet and endearing. Everything seemed so perfect, however it has been said the road to true love never runs smoothly. Secrets, misunderstanding and interference from well-meaning friends puts a cinch in their blossoming romance. Will these obstacles prevent them from holding on to the best thing to ever have happened to them? The story is witty and entertaining. There were some LOL moments and there were instances when I felt like I would knock one or two of the characters over the head. The story is well written and I would recommend it to readers looking sweet, hot and steamy romance.
DISCLOSURE: I RECEIVED A COMPLIMENTARY COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR A HONEST REVIEW.
Once again BJ Harrison, the narrator, did an amazing job reading Melissa Foster's words to me. I lose myself in his tone, his cadence, and the words themself while listening to him read the book to me. I find myself learning new things about the characters when the words are spoken rather than me reading them. There are feelings and reactions that come through in a different way when you can hear the tone of the words rather than just read them on a page and imagine the reactions. BJ Harrison is the best narrator I have ever listened to.
There are many things I have come to rely on Melissa Foster for. The fact that I know that when I pick up one of her books, whether within this series or not, I will not be able to put the book down and when it ends I will sigh and be happy. Another is that I know that I will find my newest book crush and get to visit some of my old favorites. I also know that when I finish her books I will dream of them and think of them after I am done. Melissa Foster is an author that I never hesitate to recommend, knowing that she will entertain all my friends just like I always am.
Seaside Sunsets is set in my new favorite location, The Cape. It has all my favorite women enjoying their men and living life to the fullest. These ladies are my book friends; they are the people that I wish I could hang out with. As Jessica gets to know them all my heart is warmed with how accepting they are to her. They don’t question why she is at The Cape and who she is. They just accept that she is there for the summer and has caught the attention of eligible bachelor Jamie. The sparks fly immediately between Jamie and Jessica. The attraction is obvious, yet incredible sweet and sensual. Jamie, raised by his grandparents, has been taught to respect women and the respect he shows Jessica proves what a gentleman he is.
I have read all of Melissa Foster’s books in this series and each one is my new favorite. They keep getting better and better. When I see the email asking for a review show up in my mailbox, it is an easy yes and I put off all my other reads immediately. I happily recommend this book and this entire series to everyone looking for a fun, easy, and entertaining read.

Review: I was given a copy of Seaside Sunsets by Reading Bliss and the author for an honest review. Jessica has lived a sheltered life. She mostly does cello lessons and practices all day. She is now a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and she wants to escape to the seaside. She is determined to live her life to the fullest. For the first time since developing OneClick the second largest search engine in the world, billionaire Jamie Reed is taking the summer off and going to the seaside. The moment that Jamie and Jessica meet there is an undeniable attraction. They have some trouble along the way and have to make choices of what to do with their lives. I enjoyed this book. It was well written and I liked the characters and the storyline. I would recommend this book to my friends. I give Seaside Sunsets 4 out of 5 stars.
Do you believe in love at first sight? Or in fate? Jessica Ayers has lived her lift in a very protected bubble, with her talented career at the center of life to the exclusion of everything else. Even through she is 27 years old, there were many things that she has never experienced because of that dedication. One of those things is learning how to use her cell phone. When she gets frustrated by the phone one morning, she throws it off of the deck of a condo that she has decided to rent for the summer in an effort to "find herself". The phone smacks a passing jogger in the head.
Jamie Reed is out for a jog one morning while on vacation at the Cape, when he is hit by a flying cell phone. He traces the phone to its owner, and sparks fly. Jamie is also on a vacation, the first that he has taken in 8 years due to his dedication to the company that he has built from the ground up. Will these two work-alcoholics be able to put their dedication to their jobs aside to focus on a relations together?
I enjoyed watching Jessica and Jamie fall in love and learn that there is more to life than a career. I loved how trusting and open their relationship is, even at the beginning of it. I loved the banter between all of the characters - their personalities jumped from the page and added such depth to the story. If you are looking for a light, fun read, this is the book for you. I enjoyed this one so much, I am very much looking forward to picking up the first books in the series. While this is book three in a series, it can easily be read as a stand alone.
If you’ve read the other books in the Seaside Summers collection, you’ll remember Jamie Reed. You know, smoking hot, computer genius, nice-guy, billionaire. Yes, him. This is Jamie’s love story and I absolutely love the light feel of this book. There’s just the right amount of angst and some super hot romantic scenes.
Jessica is renting a room at the cottages and meets the “girls” during Thong Thursday (you’ll have to read for the scoop). All of the Seaside Summers girls and their beaus make a comeback in Seaside Sunsets by Melissa Foster. Jenna, Leanna, Amy, and Bella are all right there in the thick of it making sure that Jamie and Jessica are thrown together.
Jessica and Jamie have such a deep connection and I absolutely adore their scenes together. Ah!! I am completely in love with this couple and I may still be swooning of Jamie because he’s just the sweetest guy Melissa has written in a while. All of her heroes are hot and hunky, with a bit of sweet thrown in for good measure, but I think Jamie takes the cake. A really sweet, delicious cake.
I’ll say it again, I love Melissa’s heroes and the fact that she makes me want to crawl in the book and join the Seaside girls (and those guys!). This may have been my favorite of all the Seaside Summers books. I enjoyed the humor, lightness, and sexiness of Seaside Sunsets. I cannot wait to get my hands on Seaside Secrets – that Amy and Tony’s story.
It's one thing to find someone who's as attracted to you as you are to them, but it's another who understands how full your days are, is okay with that, and still sees a future with you.
The attraction between Jamie and Jessica burned red hot from the minute they met. I loved how different they were. Jamie was a total tech geek, and Jessica was a dedicated musician. They each lived and breathed and dreamed their profession, yet found something in each other that made them feel even more complete than their professions ever could. Jamie was used to women wanting him for his wealth. Jessica's sweetness removed the wariness he had about the female population and helped him want more with her than he'd ever dared to want with another woman. Jamie's easy-going personality helped Jessica understand how important it was to let go and just be, just live in the moment, just enjoy where she was. They didn't make unreasonable demands of each other, but chose to accept one another as they were.
This is a terrific addition to Ms. Foster's Seaside Summer series. The characters are memorable, well-developed, and unique. It moves quickly and smoothly, but doesn't leave you feeling like something is missing or that you missed something. Ms. Foster knows how to write sensual romances that readers can relate to. If you haven't tried one of her books yet, I hope you do. Maybe this one can be where you start too.
4.5* ***Received from Tasty Book Tours for an honest review***
Time to warm up those winter nights with a Seaside Summer's Romance!
SEASIDE SUNSETS is the third in the Seaside Summers series, a spinoff of the Love in Bloom/The Bradens family series by Melissa Foster. The Seaside Summers characters are a great mix of fun, loud, charming, and sexy...everything you love about Foster's romances, but with a Summer vibe that will have you wishing for spring break with your besties!
I am actually reading all three of the Seaside Summers books at the same time, getting to know the "main" friends, Bella, Amy, Jenna and Leanna...and the fun additions to their group, Kurt, Tony, Caden, Evan and Jamie (Yum)...and the hero of SEASIDE SUNSETS. Jessica is a newbie to the cape, and taking a break from the madness that is her life, or more like, her career as a Member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Jamie is in the cape with his grandmother Vera (can't help but LOVE a guy who loves his grandma as much as Jamie does)...and let me just say, the first few pages in where we meet Jamie through the eyes of Jessica (can we say....SMOKIN HOT)!
I loved the mix of humor and emotion that Foster weaves into all of her novels, but the Seaside Series just has that special something that has you wanting to dive directly into the next book the moment you turn the last page!
So...you might want to grab all three and get started today!
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, betrayal, and heartbreak. The story flowed well and I read in one sitting.
This is Jessica and Jamie’s story. Jessica is on vacation to find out what she wants to do with her life. Does she want something more than the life she has been living? Jamie is taking the summer off and spending time with his grandmother. They meet after Jessica gets frustrated with her phone and throws it only to have it hit Jamie. As they spend time together they are both drawn to each other. The chemistry is HOT and they just can’t fight it. When Jamie is told Jessica is not who she seems and does not work where she states she does he is crushed. He pushes her away. After realizing he might have pushed her away but can’t live without her can he win her back? Does she want him after the things his lawyer has told her about him?
I loved both these characters. Jamie is sweet and funny. Jessica is strong and funny. Love how Melissa weaves a story around the town and the wonderful characters she creates there. All in all I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book, this series and this author.
I loved reading Seaside Sunsets! I have not read the books leading up to it so I was a little confused by all of the characters ("The Seaside Sisters"), but it didn't take me long to learn about each and every one of them. It was like they were all family. I do plan to go back and read Seaside Summers #1 and #2.
When Jessica shows up for the summer she didn't expect to fall in love. She just wanted to take a hiatus from the symphony to figure out who she was and she found more than she bargained for. Jamie came to Seaside to take a long needed break from his billion dollar company One-Click and to spend time with his grandmother Vera. When Jess and Jamie couldn't keep their eyes off each other since the first time they met and their love escalated from there.
Of course there was trouble along the way, but thanks to some really good friends and Jamie's grandmother (Vera is one of my FAVORITE characters!), they found their way to a happily ever after.
I would definitely recommend this book to my friends and to anyone who loves a great romance read.
*I was given an early copy of this book in return for an honest review*
A brilliant read again and Jamie Reed the computer program developer billionaire and long time seaside resident hunk love comes easy when he meets Jessica Aires cellist for the BSO rents a room in the big house at seaside. So when Jessica throws her phone over the railing in frustration and hits Jamie right in the head (bang love hits you nothing you can do) if it was just that easy between them but outside influences puts a rut in-between them, can they overcome Vera Jamie's grandmother who has raised him from a young boy thinks so. I love Vera she is so wise and a great woman who all of the seaside residents adore her too.
I love Melissa Foster books. I can't get enough of them. I love the act it is all set in America and some of the places that are mentioned are where I went to not long ago on a holiday. The moment the two main characters Jamie and Jessica meet, you can tell he is not on the look out for love. I loved this book as much as all the other ones I have read. It is a decent storyline and it is steamy in places, but I think that is what makes Melissa's books my favourite of all time.
A little repetitive when read with 1 and 2. ***Seaside Dreams 5 stars I purchased a copy of the steamy novel Seaside Summers book 1: Seaside Dreams: Bella and Caden by Melissa Foster and this review was given freely. *** Seaside Nights 4 stars I purchased a copy of the steamy novel Seaside Summers book 5: Seaside Nights: Sky and Sawyer by Melissa Foster and this review was given freely. As Tattoo artist Sky achieves her business goals, she feels the loss of a personal life until some chance meetings and stray phrases from the P-town Poet lead her to professional boxer, rugged guitarist and songwriter Sawyer Bass. ***Seaside Whispers 4 stars I purchased a copy of the steamy novel Seaside Summers book 8: Seaside Whispers: Matt and Mira by Melissa Foster and this review was given freely. A fitting conclusion to the Lacroux family Seaside romances containing a wonderful group of friends, some humor and a lot of steamy scenes. Dissatisfied Princeton professor Matt takes a sabbatical in Seaside to write a book, celebrate the triple wedding of his siblings, help try to save his father's hardware store, and to have a closer relationship with both his family and the woman he fantasizes about, his father's employee, single mother Mira.
Another fun read by Melissa Foster. As this is a summer read, we're sitting here in December.... so there's some longing for such a wonderful time! But, the characters are fun and situations are believable. A nice winter read, or a beach read if you're heading on vacation!
I felt the emotions in this whole book! Every sad moment, happy moment, excited moment, allllll the moments! I think this has to be my favorite one so far! I loved the first 2, but this one! Is by far the best! Jamie's love for Jessica is one that I can only wish to have!
