This Christmas, a hot fireman makes a holiday rescue and sparks fly in this funny, sexy holiday short story by bestselling author Alexandria Bellefleur.
When Everleigh Dangerfield’s baking disaster necessitates a call to 911, firefighter Griffin Brantley douses the flames in the kitchen, but the ones he stokes in Everleigh are an entirely different story. Unfortunately, Everleigh’s only visiting and doesn’t do casual hookups, no matter how smoldering the temptation. But Everleigh’s holiday mishaps have just begun. And Griffin is seemingly always on call. If Everleigh is game for a change of plans, he can give her the merriest Christmas of her life.

This is what I was looking for in these novellas. This was so cute and also steamy at the same time, it's very short but the banter and the chemistry comes to the two main characters so naturally and I overall enjoyed it so much!! I'm happy that after two disappointments this one was better!! ____ This looks soo cute 🤭 and a fireman romance 👀 this actually sounds good which the previous two books were lacking 😝
*Thank you to Netgalley and amazon publishing for giving me a E-Arc*
Somehow this book felt faster than the others and I think that was because so much happened in 50 pages, this was super cheesy too take that how you want to. 2.5
⭐️ 4 🌶️ 4 Griffin and Everleigh were adorable and destined to be but I docked a star because I was so caught up thinking “ew, she was just in the lake, and wait isn’t she absolutely freezing?”
Sexy firefighter/damsel in distress meet-cute. This one felt very Hallmark movie cutesy...until the last chapter🥵🌶️ Not a huge fan of the third person pov.
This did not do it for me. I’m confused with this little series because I thought they were supposed to be very cute and Christmasy?? I feel like I’m reading rated X books and I don’t like it 😂 it goes 0 to intense smut with 0 warning and that’s just not my thing 🥹😣
Meh, I suppose it was fine. It's a quick read since it's a novella and moves really fast. But the whole no protection thing when they hardly knew each other always gives me the ick. I’d be cool with it if it were dual V, but since it’s not, I think that’s just plain dumb and reckless. But, since they said they're both in the clear, I guess there's not much I can do about it, and I'll just have to roll with it. 🤷♀️
↳2.75 rounded up to 3 🌟 Me : Brb have to go burn my house down so I can get a cute firefighter for Christmas 🤷♀️🤷♀️ Merriment and Mayhem was a sweet and flirty holiday read with some laugh-out-loud moments, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression. The premise of a baking disaster leading to sparks with a hot firefighter was definitely entertaining, and I appreciated the humor woven throughout the story. Cute, fun short. The banter worked for me, i felt like i didnt get everything i wanted and i feel like this is just the start of a book i would enjoy as compared to the rest that felt like a complete story that i wanted more of if that makes sense.
for a romance short this was a spicy little treat. I had fun, I'm always here for a burly EMS // Firefighter type who can actually catch you in their burly arms. Definitely a great example of "happily for now" but overall a fun time was had.
i will say, i have some thoughts on the whole "i've been tested" conversation that is then allowing for no condoms to be used, even though these people literally just met. in a shorter story too, it took up a lot of word count when instead we could have just wrapped it up and gone on our merrily banging way. better safe than sorry, always!
This one was just okay! I loved the meet-cute, but it was missing a little something for me. I was debating between 3 or 4 but I already basically forgot the plot and don’t think I need to reread. It wasn’t bad, just forgettable.
I received a free copy from the publisher. All opinions are honest and my own.
Alexandria Bellefleur ... the author that you are. I would do anything to read more from these characters. I wish this was a full length book!!!! I NEED MORE. Writing was immaculate as always, this woman can do no wrong.
also, that spice was so fucking hot!!! I NEEDED THIS
