Sigma Sin is back at it again (that rhymed) and I was absolutely here for itttttt!! I haven’t read a true enemies to lovers bully romance in a hot minute and oooooof this was delicious.
Teal is one of the founding fathers’ daughters and as such has certain responsibilities/ expectations that have been placed on her regardless of her own desires and dreams in life. As she has struggled with her mental health throughout her life her family has never really cared about what she wanted and only what benefit she could bring to them. When she finds out her father’s plan for her she’s approached by her nemesis, Declan, and son of another one of the leaders of Sigma Sin. He makes her an offer she can’t (literally because he’s blackmailing her) refuse. Pretend to be together in order to get him information he wants and release her from her father’s plans.
As Teal and Declan battle through each others tests of wills Teal realizes that submitting to Declan seems to bring her a sense of peace she’s never really felt before. And Declan? Please play Down Bad by Taylor Swift. This man is the definition of “touch her + 💀”. More accurately…”talk about her + 💀”. We love a man who sticks up for his woman.
I thought that Saint had a lot of twists and turns and plot roller coasters but Eternal really said “hold my beer”…in the best possible way. My jaw was on the mfin FLOOR so many times during the last 30% of this book and I was LIVINGGGG for it!!!! Declan is a criminal mastermind, evil genius, obsessive control freak and also a man in love. And we wouldn’t change anything about him or that. Seeing Teal finally start to find her footing and have someone she could trust and love just made it all that much better.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR ATONE! Oh my god. I predicted who the next couple would be halfway through this book but I cannot even imagine how delicious the reality is going to be.

This book impacted me in a way I didn't expect. Declan and Teal exceeded all my expectations.
I swear, this is infinitely better than the first in the series. It feels like the author poured all her emotions into the characters and the dialogues. The relationship between the characters is deeper, and you can feel it's genuine because they complete each other in such a unique and crazy way. It's adorable.
Eva Simmons is delivering everything I expected from a dark series. If she keeps this up, she'll become one of my favorite authors, and this series, one of my all-time favorites.

He’s still Declan Pierce, a coldhearted bully. And I’m Teal Donovan, slowly losing my mind, waiting for it all to catch up with me.
I knew Teal & Declan were going to be my favorite and I was correct. Everything about them sucked me in and I couldn't put this book down.
Her family wants her quiet. Her doctors want her numb. The world wants her to be appropriate. I want to break her the f*ck open and show her it’s okay to feel it all.
Definitely one of my top reads of 2024, I really enjoyed Saint but this one is my favorite of the series (so far).

This is the second book in the Sigma Sin series. You can read as a standalone if you really want (no cliffhangers), but there will be spoilers to the previous book. As usual I recommend starting with book one, Saint.
I seriously don’t know how Eva does it. Constantly delivering banger after banger. She has such a knack for writing morally gray book boyfriends who will burn the world down for their women and I’m so fucking here for it. This story is dark, raw and twisted. My heart ached for Teal and everything she had and still was going through.

Eva was a new to be author this year and I'm SO HAPPY I picked up this series. It's everything I want out of dark romance. The men are unhinged, have 0 morals, are obsessed with their women, someone's always got some trauma to deal with, someone's always getting stabby, and the spice is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I absolutely couldn't wait for the 2nd installment of this series. We met both Declan (the Sigma Sin President) and Tealene (his secret obsession .... that he masks with hate and torment...from a rival family) in the first book. Their explosive banter immediately made me excited for their book and they did not disappoint.
I'm a SUCKERRRRR for a man who not only fixes some problems for her but *shows her what she is capable of* and Declan exceledddddd at that microtrope. Teal had ALOT of baggage and and he was with her every step of the way whether she knew it or not.
All in all.. obsessed. If you like Rina Kent you should definitely check this series out.... very like Royal Elite + LOG vibes. Book 1 is called Saint. This is book 2 with 2? More planned.

Declan loves to mess with Teal, and is digging in her past to uncover some truths and makes a deal with her but she has to fake date them to ruffle up their father's feathers (she doesn't believe it will work).
This is a dark book, and I would highly suggest that you read Saint first (events and characters reference some things from this book).

Eternal had a slightly darker vibe compared to Saint, but honestly? I loved it even more.
Teal’s journey—her struggles and her determination to heal—was beautifully portrayed. And Declan? His obsessive, unhinged devotion to Teal made their dynamic amazing. 🖤🔥
I will keep it short so I don’t spoil anything since this is one of those books that you will love to experience for yourself.
The action-packed plot, chemistry, and raw emotions are brilliantly executed, and I’m already excited about Atone!
I cannot wait for what Eva delivers next🖤✨

The Good:
* This author dives head first into dealing with mental health and self harm issues rather than shying away from it or tiptoeing around it. That being said, check the trigger warnings before picking this book up. I appreciate that dealing with the FMC’s mental health issues are part of the plot. It also made the book incredible captivating.
* Declan is a book boyfriend to end all book boyfriends. I love nothing more than a revenge plot and this guy knows how to dole it out and he likes doing it. He’s clearly not mentally stable either, which makes his odd attempts at wooing Teal that much more entertaining.
* This book is very plot heavy and the plot stands on its own. So many dark romance/horror romance books are super heavy on the smut. Don’t get me wrong, there’s some demented smut in this book. But it’s not every single chapter and the author came to tell a story. It’s a good one.
* I didn’t realize when I signed up for this ARC that this is book 3 of a series, however it can be read on its own easily. It’s a great book so I’m definitely going to go back and read the first two. The Good:
* This author dives head first into dealing with mental health and self harm issues rather than shying away from it or tiptoeing around it. That being said, check the trigger warnings before picking this book up. I appreciate that dealing with the FMC’s mental health issues are part of the plot. It also made the book incredible captivating.
* Declan is a book boyfriend to end all book boyfriends. I love nothing more than a revenge plot and this guy knows how to dole it out and he likes doing it. He’s clearly not mentally stable either, which makes his odd attempts at wooing Teal that much more entertaining.
* This book is very plot heavy and the plot stands on its own. So many dark romance/horror romance books are super heavy on the smut. Don’t get me wrong, there’s some demented smut in this book. But it’s not every single chapter and the author came to tell a story. It’s a good one.
* I didn’t realize when I signed up for this ARC that this is book 3 of a series, however it can be read on its own easily. It’s a great book so I’m definitely going to go back and read the first two. The relationship between these two damaged main characters was just heartbreaking. 💔 And I rooted for them to be together!! Seeing the way Declan cared so much for Teal and would constantly complement her, just brought tears to my eyes. Speaking from experience I know little bit about low self esteem and depression. Because no matter what others see in you, you will always see yourself as unattractive. I just think the Author did a wonderful job with the Mental Illness depiction in this book! 🥺💓
There are so many more layers to this book and I don’t what to spoil it.
I am looking forward to book 3 with “Alex & Mila” because I just know that book will be just as unhinged as the previous two books!!

Eternal is the 2nd book in the Sigma Sin series. It's an enemies to lovers dark college romance with the MMC being her longtime sadistic bully and the FMC having extreme mental health issues. This book is emotional, full of suspense, has a gripping plot, karma gets it rewards and a smile worthy HEA and bonus epilogue. Highly recommended for the secret society and hate to want you tropes.

I have been so damn fucking excited for this, I have been DYING to get my hands onto Declan & Tealene after Kole & Violet and I AM FUCKING SCREAMING.
Going into this, I was definitely wanting to learn more about Tealene. For one, how closed off she was from everything but two, because she loves art and her whole aesthetic was EVERYTHING. Literally the DEFINITION of ART. However, I was not expecting the level of trauma that came with her, especially with her past that was affecting her present self. And my god did it want me to wrap her in my blanket burrito. She’s absolutely fucking strong, and we LOVE that about her. I was FUCKING FUMING at all the wrong doings that people have caused her, like WHAT THE FUCK. And I swear I could not be more thankful for Declan, as she felt like she could be herself around him and in a weird way, IT WAS FUCKING ADORABLE.
I KNEW this was going to be the ultimate enemies to lovers when Declan came into the picture back in Saint, and I WAS RIGHT. And I didn’t think that I was going to be as OBSESSED as I am with Declan, for real. He might be psychotic, but he’s ADORABLE AS SHIT. He sees Teal for who she truly is, wants her to shine and not be in a cage. Oh, and did I mention HE LITERALLY SEES HER AS ART… AS A MASTERPIECE?! I WAS NOT EXPECTING this AT ALL from Declan, BUT I FUCKING LOVE IT. I could not with how all the little intricate puzzle pieces fit together so perfectly in the end, that when everything came to light, I literally fell in love with this man, and I am not even fucking sorry.
Don’t even get me started with the little plot twists and bomb drops along the way that had my jaw HITTING THE DAMN FLOOR. I. COULD. NOT. EVEN. The more and more I read the more and more I fell in love with Declan. I love that he doesn’t let Teal get into her head and validates her thoughts unlike everyone else because she definitely has her own demons to battle. They both brought out sides of themselves that they didn’t know existed and even though at first they struggled with it .. once they started to accept it UGH 🥹 my heart. Oh and honestly I’m convinced Declan’s love language is physical touch with all the little things he did .. I mean I may or may not have written down all those moments. 🥹😏 This was my first book Eva and I am hooked! Yes I know it was the second book in the series, but since the first was about another couple it was totally fine and yesssss literally downloading Saint asap!

If Saint had those twists and turns, Eternal just upped the game.
There is nothing sweeter than revenge and to have that with the one person who had been a bully since childhood be the one who wants that, bring it on. Teal and Declan's story really is the better the devil you know.
There is no shying away from the mental struggles Teal is going through and the way the it is shown from the first page to the last, so definitely check on those TW. Teal had gone through for years of thinking she is beyond help and to have that done at the hands of those that she should trust just heartbreaking.
Enter Declan, who has been her bully for years as well as that peace she needs to center herself and as their story continues the pieces of the puzzle with Declan start to fall into place. A boy who was told to stay away found his way to be in her life, even if the method was not so nice. Declan just like Kole is touch her a d*e vibes. He is in for the long game with Teal and Sigma House with the chess playing while others play checkers. He lets Teal find herself and she still tells him like it is, understands why he did what he did but doesn't let it slide. I liked seeing that fight in her.
On top of Teal and Declan's story, other parts to the series start to fall and it just gets you excited for the rest of series!

Will their fathers succeed at breaking them apart for good or will Declan’s meddling finally pay off ?
This book was fantastic and the twists and turns kept me hooked form the start! I knew that Declan would end up only doing good for her and it was totally worth the payoff!

As always, Eva does NOT miss! After Kole and Violet, I knew there was gonna be some delicious and tension-filled backstory with Teal and Declan and Eva delivered. Declan is a whole vibe, the epitome of “only soft for her” and “touch her and die”. Their hate to love arc was so good and the plot omg. Had me on my toes the whole time. The banter, the smut, the devotion the two had for each other was *chef’s kiss* Declan was the only one that truly saw her and was her safe space.

Eva Simmons delivered with this book! The twists, the turns, the possessiveness, everything this book had me craving while I was reading it was perfection. Declan rough around the edges but held his feelings in for Teal till the moment he realized he could have her. The way he showed his feels for Teal had me screaming and wanting him even more. Teal trouble past , life with trauma , I love her portrayal. Her emotions were real, heartfelt, and truly touching to the soul. Eva did an amazing job with the book and I can’t wait for what comes next.

Going into this, I was so interested to see how Teal and Declan fair, as the peeks we got to see of them in Saint made me go “Oh, they’re ENEMIES enemies.”
What I didn’t expect was to absolutely fall in LOVE with Declan. He’s so mean, but my goodness, when he finally lets it show, he fell HARD for Tealene and IT. SHOWS. He is the epitome of “touch her and die” but also “soft for her.” The painting above the bed? Posting her to his SOCIALS? I die.
Tealene has way that she reads that just felt… so real and raw to me. She comes with trauma and a past that certainly affects her present. She’s troubled, but the more you read, the less it seems of her own doing and more those around her. Honestly, Declan was the best thing to happen to her, in a round about way.
The twists and turns this book took had me reeling. I’m loving that more and more questions are being answered, but also that we’re being left with so many MORE questions. I have been so SOO excited for Tealene and Declan and Eternal has left me SCREAMING and even MORE pumped for Atone.

So glad I have found Eva Simmons, her books are sooooo good!! I read book one just so I could be ready for Declan and Teal. Declan is one not to mess with, he gets what he wants and you should be warned not to hurt or touch what is his. He and Teal have been frenemies for years but he has her in his sights for a much different reason. I will warning of many trigger warnings.

Declan and Teal have known each other since they were kids and at one point Declan was no longer the nice boy she knew. It doesn’t help their family are rivals. When we were finish introduced to Declan in Saint (book 1) we saw how much he tormented Teal and how she loathed him. A flip switched and Teal needed Declan’s help and of course fake dating turns into so much more. Declan has been obsessed with Teal for so long, but has never been allowed to act on it until now.
Declan really sees Teal for who she truly is. Even when masked with all the medication her father and doctors had her on. He was there to help support her and help her understand all the secrets within her family. I’m obsessed with Declan and how unhinged he is for Teal.
I love what a brat Teal was, even after everything she’s been through. She really loves to push Declan’s buttons and keep him on his toes, even if that drives him up a wall and wants to punish her 🤤
